กระทรวงการคลังต้องใช้เงินงบประมาณแผ่นดินซึ่งเป็นเงินที่มาจากภาษีของคนไทยทุกคนผ่อนชำระหนี้ปีละ 50,000 ล้านบาท โดยเป็นดอกเบี้ยปีละ 30.000 ล้านบาท และต้องใช้เวลาถึง 16 ปี จึงหมดหนี้&nbsp;</span><span style="color: blue;">นายสมบูรณ์ ดาศรี" ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการ ธ.ก.ส.กล่าวกับกรุงเทพธุรกิจ ฉบับ ๒๕ ก.พ.๖๒ บอกว่า ธ.ก.ส.จะได้หนี้ 5 แสนล้าน คืนจากรัฐบาล มี 2 ทาง ทางแรก...จากขายข้าวในสต็อก แต่ตอนนี้ "ไม่มีแล้ว" เพราะข้าวดีขายหมดแล้ว ทางที่สอง จาก "งบประมาณแผ่นดิน" โดยรัฐบาล ตั้งงบคืนให้แต่ละปี ที่ผ่านมา ธ.ก.ส.ได้รับคืนปีละกว่า ๕ หมื่นล้าน ใน 5 หมื่นล้าน นั้น เป็นดอกเบี้ย 3 หมื่นล้าน
