Heeellllooooo!!

It’s been too long, my friends. I hope this new post finds you well and happy. Today YouTube served me a short showing a lovely everyday hairstyle for long hair, so of course I tried it. I must say, I love it! I will definitely keep this in my stash of hairstyles to do even when I’m [hopefully one day] a sweet little grandma 😄👵🏻

In other news, we’ve moved again! I am so enjoying decorating our new home in a French country/cottage-core/grandma-core style. Now I have a hairstyle to match!

Hi friends!

It has been much too long since I posted on my blog, but as you can see I have been...busy :-) Baby Girl is growing fast and oh-so-sweet! Thankfully I still have time most days to fix my hair, and yesterday we managed to take some mommy-and-baby photos that also include some hairstyle shots. This is one of my go-to styles these days, a small French braid where a headband would go, brought down into a side braided bun. Hopefully I can post more hairstyle pictures on my blog in the weeks and months ahead, thank you so much for continuing to follow! I wanted to let you know that this is not yet a dead page :-)

My, how life can change so quickly! I'm so very happy and thankful for all God is doing in my life. Finally I have some new hair pictures to share with you here on my blog :-) This is a Dutch braid I did a few days ago, I tied up the ends similar to how my Micronesian friends do in the islands. This is another option to end a braid, rather than a tassel like I usually do. Thank you for visiting my blog!

It has been much too long since I posted on my blog, but I have a very good reason for being preoccupied. Two reasons, actually~ I'm a happy newlywed (married 5 months now!), and another reason that I am having trouble keeping a secret...see if you can spot what it might be in the pictures below.

My hairstyle today is a simple princess updo made with two lace braids and a braided bun. I love this look, it dresses up any day and any occasion.

Happy March! How fun to begin a brand-new month. Today I fixed my hair in a simple short updo style. I braided two small braids on either side of my hair, then made three braids with the remaining loose hair and arranged all my braids in place just so. I love wearing short hairstyle just for the day, no cutting involved :-)

I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's week! A few days ago I braided my hair in this simple braided hairstyle. It's a hybrid braid, which is practically the same as a chunky fishtail braid. It's a fishtail braid made with four interchanging sections of hair. I pinned the end of my braid around my head like a halo. I love this simple boho look. Thank you for coming to see! Hello dear friends and a belated Happy New Year :-)

I love being married to the love of my life! I've been busy getting settled in to my new home, so I haven't posted much as you probably noticed. But once again I will try to start posting more often.

A few days ago I braided my hair in this pretty bun style. My bun is actually two rope braids braided together in another rope braid, so a double rope braid :-)

Thank you for coming by to see my pictures! I'm living in the middle of snow right now, so I'll see how I adjust my hair care to this new climate. So far I've been able to stretch out my washes to once a week, and I'm putting monoi oil and coconut oil on the ends of my hair during the week. It helps keep the static down and also keeps my ends hydrated.

So much has been happening lately, I can't believe I have not been posting at all on my blog. Please forgive me! But I have a good excuse, I'm getting married! My love Justin and I are getting married at my home in Micronesia on New Year's Eve, next month. I've been trying out bridal hairstyles, and have decided on something rather like this.

Last week I went to get my bridal portrait done! What a wonderful, amazing experience. I've dreamed for so long about being a bride, and now it is actually happening. I love my dress and veil and can't wait to walk down the aisle and be married.

To make this hairstyle, I first created a poofy section at the top of my head with bobby pins. Then I took a small section of hair and braided a 3-strand braid, gently pulling on one edge as I braided to give the braid a lacey look. I wrapped this braid around like a headband and pinned it in place. In this version, the bun is a smooth low bun wrapped around with another three strand braid. In my bridal portrait, the bun is a flower bun made with two 3-strand braids that have had one edge gently pulled like my headband braid. The pulled-out sections look like petals in the flower bun. This flower bun is the bun-style I think I will do on my wedding day. What do you vote?

I can't promise to post pictures as often as I have in the past, but I will do my best to have something new to share several times a month. I apologize for going so long without posting any new hairstyles on my blog. I have a good excuse, two actually~ a boyfriend, and travel plans ;-)

Here are pictures of a braided style I did a week or so ago, I absolutely love it. This hairstyle is made with simple French braids and three strand braids, I wrapped the ends of my braids into the roses and pinned them in place. I love this look, it has such a princess-y feel.

Hello dear friends,

Yesterday I braided my hair in a stacked braid style, with a small 3-strand braid stacked on top of a Dutch lace braid headband. Then I put the rest of my loose hair into a French braid, and looped the ends of my braids over one shoulder in a very feminine side bun.
