ASUS ZenFone AR

Google's Tango technology has been in the works for a long time, but we didn't love the first phone that made use of this tech. The second Tango phone, ASUS' ZenFone AR, addresses most of our biggest concerns. It's actually pocketable, for one, and packs a high-end Snapdragon chipset, along with a whopping 8GB of RAM. It's more than just an AR machine too: It also supports Google's Daydream VR platform.

ZTE Blade V8 Pro

ZTE's Blade line of smartphones is well-known abroad, but the company is finally bringing it to the US with the Blade V8 Pro. More importantly, it packs plenty of goodies, considering its $230 price. There's a bright 5.5-inch full HD display, for starters, along with a solid body that feels better than other mid-range phones we've seen at the show. It also rocks a surprisingly good dual camera setup. Who says every important phone has to be pricey?

Casio Android Wear watch

The fact that the Casio WSD-F20 is one of the first smartwatches to run Android Wear 2.0 is nice, but it's the device's built-in low-power GPS and offline maps in color that have us paying closer attention. The rugged watch has new button guards and a protective bezel that make it hardier than its predecessor, which is important for its target audience. It may be pricier than a typical Android Wear watch, but the Casio WSD-F20 offers enough differentiating features to justify that premium, at least for outdoor enthusiasts.

There are plenty of activity trackers for golf, tennis and many other sports, but what about boxing? Everlast and PIQ have teamed up to attach a motion sensor to a boxing glove to track your face-punching. For the pilots up on deck, there's WiFi connectivity and a real-time video feed from the onboard 4K camera of what's going on down below. For the real high-tech angler, that video feed can also be viewed in, and controlled by, VR goggles.

Lego creations are about to get way more fun. Priced at $160 per set, the new Lego Boost teaches your kids how to bring their building blocks to life with code. Add One drive/ Google drive to Send To menu

In today’s world where cloud storage is taking place of our small storing devices like pen drive, it may become a tedious job to upload tons of files to the cloud services like google drive or one drive. So how to make these tasks easy and convenient? We can use the send to shortcut menu in windows, which is accessible by right click.

Requirements.

1. A windows PC.
2. One drive or Google drive already installed on PC if we need assistance installing Google drive or One drive, open link in new tab

Adding One Drive to SEND TO menu.

For this demo, we are using One Drive, but you can also do this with Google Drive as well. Certainly, this is one of the most effective ways to use right-click send to the menu on your Windows PC.

Let's get started!

1. Now, open run from the start menu or by simply pressing Windows Key + R.

2. Write "Shell:sendto" in run command and hit enter. This will open a Send to a folder, where we will be creating a shortcut for one drive.

We can also navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo, where USERNAME is your computer's name.

3. Right-click in the white space in the Send To Folder, and click on New and select Shortcut.

4. In the location field, browse the location of One Drive/ Google Drive.

5. Name the shortcut that you want to see in SEND TO menu.

6. Right-click on the file you want to send, and it will be uploaded to One Drive/Google Drive depending upon over selection.

We can also use this trick of editing "send to" menu for many other purposes like sending a folder to specific drive (C:, E:, etc), to a specific folder, and delete some unnecessary items like fax recipient.

Nano-technology captures energy from people

Michigan State University engineering researchers have created a new way to harvest energy from human motion, using a film-like device that actually can be folded to create more power. With the low-cost device, known as a nano-generator, the scientists successfully operated an LCD touch screen, a bank of 20 LED lights and a flexible keyboard, all with a simple touching or pressing motion and without the aid of a battery.

The groundbreaking findings, published in the journal Nano Energy, suggest "we're on the path toward wearable devices powered by human motion," said Nelson Sepulveda, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering and lead investigator of the project.

"What I foresee, relatively soon, is the capability of not having to charge your cell phone for an entire week, for example, because that energy will be produced by your movement," said Sepulveda, whose research is funded by the National Science Foundation.

The innovative process starts with a silicone wafer, which is then fabricated with several layers, or thin sheets, of environmentally friendly substances including silver, polyimide and polypropylene ferro electret. Ions are added so that each layer in the device contains charged particles. Electrical energy is created when the device is compressed by human motion, or mechanical energy. The completed device is called a bio-compatible ferro electret nano-generator, or FENG. The device is as thin as a sheet of paper and can be adapted to many applications and sizes. The device used to power the LED lights was palm-sized, for example, while the device used to power the touch screen was as small as a finger.

Advantages such as being lightweight, flexible, bio-compatible, scalable, low-cost and robust could make FENG "a promising and alternative method in the field of mechanical-energy harvesting" for many autonomous electronics such as wireless headsets, cell phones and other touch-screen devices, the study says. Remarkably, the device also becomes more powerful when folded.

"Each time you fold it you are increasing exponentially the amount of voltage you are creating," Sepulveda said. "You can start with a large device, but when you fold it once, and again, and again, it's now much smaller and has more energy. Now it may be small enough to put in a specially made heel of your shoe so it creates power each time your heel strikes the ground."

Sepulveda and his team are developing technology that would transmit the power generated from the heel strike to, say, a wireless headset.

Playing game using Direct Brain Simulation

University of Washington researchers have taken a first step in showing how humans can interact with virtual realities via direct brain stimulation. In a paper published online Nov. 16 in Frontiers in Robotics and AI, they describe the first demonstration of humans playing a simple, two-dimensional computer game using only input from direct brain stimulation -- without relying on any usual sensory cues from sight, hearing or touch.

The subjects had to navigate 21 different mazes, with two choices to move forward or down based on whether they sensed a visual stimulation artifact called a phosphine, which are perceived as blobs or bars of light. To signal which direction to move, the researchers generated a phosphine through transcranial magnetic stimulation, a well-known technique that uses a magnetic coil placed near the skull to directly and noninvasively stimulate a specific area of the brain.

"The way virtual reality is done these days is through displays, headsets and goggles, but ultimately your brain is what creates your reality," said senior author Rajesh Rao, UW professor of Computer Science & Engineering and director of the Center for Sensorimotor Neural Engineering.

"The fundamental question we wanted to answer was: Can the brain make use of artificial information that it's never seen before that is delivered directly to the brain to navigate a virtual world or do useful tasks without other sensory input? And the answer is yes."

The five test subjects made the right moves in the mazes 92 percent of the time when they received the input via direct brain stimulation, compared to 15 percent of the time when they lacked that guidance.

The simple game demonstrates one way that novel information from artificial sensors or computer-generated virtual worlds can be successfully encoded and delivered noninvasively to the human brain to solve useful tasks. It employs a technology commonly used in neuroscience to study how the brain works -- transcranial magnetic stimulation -- to instead convey actionable information to the brain. The test subjects also got better at the navigation task over time, suggesting that they were able to learn to better detect the artificial stimuli.

"We're essentially trying to give humans a sixth sense," said lead author Darby Losey, a 2016 UW graduate in computer science and neurobiology who now works as a staff researcher for the Institute for Learning & Brain Sciences (I-LABS). "So much effort in this field of neural engineering has focused on decoding information from the brain. We're interested in how you can encode information into the brain."

The initial experiment used binary information -- whether a phosphine was present or not -- to let the game players know whether there was an obstacle in front of them in the maze. In the real world, even that type of simple input could help blind or visually impaired individuals navigate.

Theoretically, any of a variety of sensors on a person's body -- from cameras to infrared, ultrasound, or laser rangefinders -- could convey information about what is surrounding or approaching the person in the real world to a direct brain stimulator that gives that person useful input to guide their actions.

"The technology is not there yet -- the tool we use to stimulate the brain is a bulky piece of equipment that you wouldn't carry around with you," said co-author Andrea Stocco, a UW assistant professor of psychology and I-LABS research scientist. "But eventually we might be able to replace the hardware with something that's amenable to real world applications."

Bluetooth 5 is here

The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) officially adopted Bluetooth 5 as the latest version of the Bluetooth core specification this week.

Key updates to Bluetooth 5 include longer range, faster speed, and larger broadcast message capacity, as well as improved interoperability and coexistence with other wireless technologies. Bluetooth 5 continues to advance the Internet of Things (IoT) experience by enabling simple and effortless interactions across the vast range of connected devices.

Advancement in Speech Recognition

Speech recognition systems, such as those that convert speech to text on cellphones, are generally the result of machine learning. A computer pores through thousands or even millions of audio files and their transcriptions, and learns which acoustic features correspond to which typed words. But transcribing recordings is costly, time-consuming work, which has limited speech recognition to a small subset of languages spoken in wealthy nations.

At the Neural Information Processing Systems conference this week, researchers from MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) are presenting a new approach to training speech-recognition systems that doesn't depend on transcription. Instead, their system analyzes correspondences between images and spoken descriptions of those images, as captured in a large collection of audio recordings. The system then learns which acoustic features of the recordings correlate with which image characteristics.

"The goal of this work is to try to get the machine to learn language more like the way humans do," says Jim Glass, a senior research scientist at CSAIL and a co-author on the paper describing the new system.

The current methods that people use to train up speech recognizers are very supervised. You get an utterance, and you're told what's said. And you do this for a large body of data. "Big advances have been made -- Siri, Google -- but it's expensive to get those annotations, and people have thus focused on, really, the major languages of the world. There are 7,000 languages, and I think less than 2 percent have ASR [automatic speech recognition] capability, and probably nothing is going to be done to address the others. So if you're trying to think about how technology can be beneficial for society at large, it's interesting to think about what we need to do to change the current situation. And the approach we've been taking through the years is looking at what we can learn with less supervision." Joining Glass on the paper are first author David Harwath, a graduate student in electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) at MIT; and Antonio Torralba, an EECS professor.

Conversely, text terms associated with similar clusters of images, such as, say, "storm" and "clouds," could be inferred to have related meanings. Because the system in some sense learns words' meanings -- the images associated with them -- and not just their sounds, it has a wider range of potential applications than a standard speech recognition system. To test their system, the researchers used a database of 1,000 images, each of which had a recording of a free-form verbal description associated with it. They would feed their system one of the recordings and ask it to retrieve the 10 images that best matched it. That set of 10 images would contain the correct one 31 percent of the time.

"I always emphasize that we're just taking baby steps here and have a long way to go," Glass says. "But it's an encouraging start."

The researchers trained their system on images from a huge database built by Torralba; Aude Oliva, a principal research scientist at CSAIL; and their students. Through Amazon's Mechanical Turk crowdsourcing site, they hired people to describe the images verbally, using whatever phrasing came to mind, for about 10 to 20 seconds. For an initial demonstration of the researchers' approach, that kind of tailored data was necessary to ensure good results. But the ultimate aim is to train the system using digital video, with minimal human involvement.

"I think this will extrapolate naturally to video," Glass says.

To build their system, the researchers used neural networks, machine-learning systems that approximately mimic the structure of the brain. Neural networks are composed of processing nodes that, like individual neurons, are capable of only very simple computations but are connected to each other in dense networks. Data is fed to a network's input nodes, which modify it and feed it to other nodes, which modify it and feed it to still other nodes, and so on. When a neural network is being trained, it constantly modifies the operations executed by its nodes in order to improve its performance on a specified task. The researchers' network is, in effect, two separate networks: one that takes images as input and one that takes spectrograms, which represent audio signals as changes of amplitude, over time, in their component frequencies. The output of the top layer of each network is a 1,024-dimensional vector -- a sequence of 1,024 numbers.

The final node in the network takes the dot product of the two vectors. That is, it multiplies the corresponding terms in the vectors together and adds them all up to produce a single number. During training, the networks had to try to maximize the dot product when the audio signal corresponded to an image and minimize it when it didn't. For every spectrogram that the researchers' system analyzes, it can identify the points at which the dot-product peaks. In experiments, those peaks reliably picked out words that provided accurate image labels -- "baseball," for instance, in a photo of a baseball pitcher in action, or "grassy" and "field" for an image of a grassy field.

In ongoing work, the researchers have refined the system so that it can pick out spectrograms of individual words and identify just those regions of an image that correspond to them.

Flying Robotic Ambulance Completes First Solo Test Flight

WHY DRONES?

Drones could be the next major tech revolution to sweep the world, and these robotic flying machines are now being used for purposes that extend far beyond the secretive realm of the military. A new automated, flying ambulance completed its first solo flight, offering a potential solution for challenging search and rescue missions.

Completing such missions in rough terrain or combat zones can be tricky, with helicopters currently offering the best transportation option in most cases. But these vehicles need clear areas to land, and in the case of war zones, helicopters tend to attract enemy fire. Earlier this month, Israeli company Urban Aeronautics completed a test flight for a robotic flying vehicle that could one day go where helicopters can't.

On November 14, the company flew its robotic flyer, dubbed the Cormorant, on the craft's first solo flight over real terrain. The autonomous vehicle is designed to eventually carry people or equipment (as reflected in its former name, the AirMule) without a human pilot on board. Urban Aeronautics said the test was "a significant achievement for a student pilot, human or nonhuman," and said the company is "proud" of the vehicle's performance.

The Cormorant uses ducted fans rather than propellers or rotors to fly. These fans are effectively shielded rotors, which means the aircraft doesn't need to worry about bumping into a wall and damaging the rotors. Another set of fans propels the vehicle forward, according to Urban Aeronautics.

The robotic flyer pilots itself entirely through laser altimeters, radar and sensors. The system is "smart" enough to self-correct when it makes mistakes, company officials said. In a video released by Urban Aeronautics, the Cormorant tries to land, stops itself and then corrects its landing position.

WHY THEY MADE IT??

The vehicle is effectively a decision-making system that can figure out what to do if the inputs from the sensors are off in some way, the company said. If the Cormorant detects a potential issue, the drone's robotic brain can decide what to do: go home, land and wait for more instructions, or try a different flight path, Urban Aeronautics said.

Despite the completion of this month's flight test, Urban Aeronautics still needs to refine some parts of the technology, the company said. For one, the test flight wasn't very long, lasting only a minute or two. And though the terrain was irregular (as in, not completely flat), it was still an open field without any real obstacles on either side. Further tests will look to improve how smoothly the aircraft goes from take off to level flight, and to increase speed and maneuverability, the company said in a statement.

What is Quantum Computing ?

A traditional computer uses long strings of “bits,” which encode either a zero or a one. A quantum computer, on the other hand, uses quantum bits, or qubits. What's the difference? Well a qubit is a quantum system that encodes the zero and the one into two distinguishable quantum states. But, because qubits behave quantumly, we can capitalize on the phenomena of "superposition" and "entanglement."

Defining the Quantum Computer :

The Turing machine, developed by Alan Turing in the 1930s, is a theoretical device that consists of tape of unlimited length that is divided into little squares. Each square can either hold a symbol (1 or 0) or be left blank. A read-write device reads these symbols and blanks, which gives the machine its instructions to perform a certain program. Well, in a quantum Turing machine, the difference is that the tape exists in a quantum state, as does the read-write head. This means that the symbols on the tape can be either 0 or 1 or a superposition of 0 and 1; in other words the symbols are both 0 and 1 (and all points in between) at the same time. While a normal Turing machine can only perform one calculation at a time, a quantum Turing machine can perform many calculations at once.

Today's computers, like a Turing machine, work by manipulating bits that exist in one of two states: a 0 or a 1. Quantum computers aren't limited to two states; they encode information as quantum bits, or qubits, which can exist in superposition. Qubits represent atoms, ions, photons or electrons and their respective control devices that are working together to act as computer memory and a processor. Because a quantum computer can contain these multiple states simultaneously, it has the potential to be millions of times more powerful than today's most powerful supercomputers.

What is super position ?

Superposition is essentially the ability of a quantum system to be in multiple states at the same time — that is, something can be “here” and “there,” or “up” and “down” at the same time.

- Just like a nuclear clock quantum computers have a very low margin of errors. As superposition is the foundation stone of quantum computing ,it allows simultaneous solution search for a particular problem definition and finds the best possible solution as per the resources available.

OPTIMIZATION
- Imagine you are building a house, and have a list of things you want to have in your house, but you can’t afford everything on your list because you are constrained by a budget. What you really want to work out is the combination of items which gives you the best value for your money.
- Typically, these are very hard problems to solve because of the huge number of possible combinations. With just 270 on/off switches, there are more possible combinations than atoms in the universe!

RADIOTHERAPY OPTIMIZATION
- Problems like optimizing cancer radiotherapy, where a patient is treated by injecting several radiation beams into the patient intersecting at the tumor, illustrates how the two systems can work together.
- The goal when devising a radiation plan is to minimize the collateral damage to the surrounding tissue and body parts – a very complicated optimization problem with thousands of variables. Using the quantum computer with an HPC system will allow faster convergence on an optimal design than is attainable by using HPC alone.

PROTEIN FOLDING
- Simulating the folding of proteins could lead to a radical transformation of our understanding of complex biological systems and our ability to design powerful new drugs.
- With an astronomical number of possible structural arrangements, protein folding in an enormously complex computational problem. Scientific research indicates that nature optimizes the amino acid sequences to create the most stable protein - which correlates well to the search for the lowest energy solutions.

Apple macOS Sierra : Review

Apple announced macOS Sierra, the next version of its computer operating system for Macs shipping this fall as a free update. It'll be available as a developer preview in July.

As has been customary since it stopped naming the OS after big cats, the latest operating system version has a moniker inspired by California and will be known as macOS Sierra. Apple has stopped referring to its Mac operating system as OS X, however.

macOS Sierra: What will it feature?

Siri

Siri, Apple's personal voice assistant, finally makes its debut on the Mac. The feature lives in the Mac’s Menu Bar as a Siri icon.

Working with files is a big part of using a Mac. And Siri makes it a snap. Can’t remember where you saved that report? Ask Siri to search for the documents you opened this week, then refine your results to just the ones with the word “annual” in the title. "Show the files I worked on last week about the offsite."

Of course you can check messages, the weather, set reminders, start a FaceTime call, and ask any questions you can think of, just like you can on the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch too.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay is also coming to the Mac via the web. "So now when you're shopping online, you'll have a pay with Apple Pay button," Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering Craig Federighi said. Authentication is made with your iPhone's Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

For sites and online stores that support Apple's payment service, anyone will be able to tap the "Pay with Apple Pay" button and have a notification pop up on their phone.

Auto Unlock

Auto-unlock is one new feature that lets you automatically unlock your Mac when it detects you're wearing your Apple Watch right near it.

It can tell when you’re nearby - by detecting your Apple Watch or iPhone - and then simply unlocks your Mac, and doesn't ask for your password. What's more, it can tell that it's you and won't just unlock with anyone's iPhone or Apple Watch nearby, so it's secure.

Universal Clipboard

Universal clipboard is another new continuity feature, which lets you easily and quickly copy and paste information between iOS and Mac devices near each other. What that means in simple terms is that if you copy an image, or a selection of text or a video on your iPhone, you'll be able to paste that on to a document or email from your Mac. Or vice versa.

Desktop and Documents on all devices

iCloud Drive will now let you get access to the files on your desktop from any other Mac, or even from your iPhone or iPad. Any files you have saved on your desktop on a Mac, or within the Documents folder, will automatically show up in iCloud Drive. On an iPhone or iPad you can get access to them by using the iCloud Drive app, and if you have a PC you can use iCloud.com or the iCloud for Windows app. What's more, if you have a second Mac, the files automatically become available on the desktop and in the Documents folder.

Messages app overhaul

Like iOS 10, the Messages app for macOS Sierra is getting a feature overhaul bringing web link previews and in-app video watching, reactions, and bigger, better emoji.

Optimised Storage

Optimised storage lets you automatically move stuff from your Mac into the cloud, or even deletes stuff you don’t need. With all the automatic options switched on, Apple uses the example of increasing 20GB available storage to up to 150GB.

It essentially works by moving anything you don't use often in to iCloud, reminding you to delete things like used app installers or disk images, and clears out duplicate downloads, logs and caches. It basically removes stuff you didn't even know was there, which is more than likely taking up space you could be using for something else. In the past, this has been achieved by downloading third party apps like CleanMyMac, but it's now being built right in to the operating system.

Tabs

Part of macOS Sierra is a new Tabs API which lets software engineers add tabs to any apps, without much work from those developers. Like Finder and Safari, creating tabs will be simple for the user too. Any app that supports multiple windows will get support for tabs, meaning you can - for instance - have Maps open in multiple locations at once, or you can switch between more than one Mail email draft, or even copy and paste text between different Pages documents without needing more than one window open on screen.

Picture in Picture

With Picture in Picture, you’ll be able to have a small video window play while you continue with your main functions. Videos in Safari and iTunes will have a new pop-out icon. Click on it, and the video leaves the web page and takes up its own small window on screen. You'll also be able to resize this window, just like you can on the iPad. What's more, it follows you when you switch between desktop spaces, so you never lose sight of what you're watching.

Photos app memories

Apple has built a lot of smarts in to its Mac Photos app. Similar to Google Photos, it can create curated collections of important occasions without you having to do anything. It's also been trained to recognize people, places and objects and groups them accordingly.

macOS Sierra: Release date

macOS Sierra is available as developer preview now, and a public beta being launched a little later this summer, in July. For those who don’t want to play with a non-finished version, the update will be ready for consumers by around October/November time.

Apple announced the latest edition of its modile platform. iOS 10 claims it’s the biggest iOS release since its inception and here are the 10 new major features Apple accented on during its presentation:

1. User interface

Apple has redesigned the lockscreen. It now supports pick up to wake and has an easier way to access the camera - just swipe left. If you swipe right you'll find your widget page. Just when Android mostly ditched the widgets on the lockscreen Apple is bringing them back.

The notification area has been redesigned with new bubble-like notifications and widgets. The Control Center is now comprised of two panes - one with toggles and one with music controls. Its design also features bubbles. There is a third Control Center Tab if you are using the new Home app - shortcuts for your home accessories.

Apple has given the 3D Touch a lot more power - you can now glimpse more information from notification or even apps on the homescreen, by using 3D Touch. And if you like what you are seeing, you can snap it as a widget on your brand new Today page (the leftmost homescreen pane).

2. Siri

Siri. Now open to apps. Siri works with your favorite apps from the App Store, so you can ask it to book a ride through Lyft, or send money to someone with Square.

Siri got its own update with new features. But it's biggest change is the opening Siri to developers. Now it can send messages via non-Apple message clients, it can reserve Uber cars, among others. It can even search photos through various third-party photo apps, it can make VoIP calls, or send payments.

3. QuickType keyboard

The keyboard has been enhanced with Siri's intelligence and it can now sense what you want to say or answer. It can read through your messages and suggest creating events, share you location, remember your recent addresses, and the best part is it now supports multilingual typing.

4. Photos

The Photos app has learned a few new tricks, which are quite familiar as they have been on Android for years. The app can now show your photos on a map, you sort them by the faces of your friends.

A cool new feature is the AI sorting in Memories, which scans your photos and sorts them in automatic albums by landmarks, animals, people, topics, and various other criteria.

5. Maps

The Maps app is getting a boost with Map layers, smarter and proactive assistance as well. The Maps also supports extensions - it can help you throughout your day by offering the fastest routes by following all the traffic around you and suggesting places nearby. It can also make reservations.

- Maps. Now taking reservations. Book a table through apps like OpenTable, and a ride with Uber — all within Maps.

- Street smarter. Maps can make proactive suggestions for where you’re likely to go and the fastest way to get there.

- Search along your route. See what’s around the corner and easily find the closest places for gas, food, or coffee. Maps even tells you how much extra time it will take to arrive.

6. Apple Music

Apple Music got a new refined interface, which makes easier to find the music you like and organize it.

Music. Redesigned. The simple, intuitive design makes it even easier to enjoy your favorite songs. You can also view the lyrics while you’re listening to them.

7. News

The same goes for News - it has a brand new interface. It can also create subtopics for you - i.e. if you like to read about Euro 2016, the News app will automatically create a subcategory for Euro 2016.

The News app supports subscriptions, so you can get all free and paid content in one place - the News app. Breaking News notification on the homescreen are also a novelty brought by the update.

8. Home app with even more powerful Home Kit

Apple wants you to control everything in your home via the new Home app. It supports virtually every popular smart electronic accessory and you can control them all from your iPhone - lamps, bulbs, doors and locks, cameras, air conditioners, fans, outlets, humidifiers, doorbells, among many others.

The Home app supports 3D Touch, which provides scrubbers for, say, volume up/down, or launches a pop-up with live feed to a camera. Finally, the Control Center now has a third tab with toggles for your most used smart accessories.

9. Phone

Apple has updated the Phone app with some new features. All third-party VoIP apps can now use the same calling screen as your default Phone app. Skype, Viber or other - they all get full-screen notification with a photo, some options and a big answering slider.

In the phonebook you can now choose with what app you want to call a specific number, which is nice. The Voice Mail now can show you a full transcription of the message if you like. And it can now detect if a message from an unknown number is a spam or not even before it gets into your voicemail.

10. Messages

Finally, the Messages app has been enhanced. First - it supports live GIF and video playback right within the app. Any multimedia that could be played - you can play it within the messaging thread.

Next you get quick access to your photos and live camera feed without leaving the app. The interface looks quite nice and lots of people will appreciate it. The Emojis are now 3x bigger and you can replace words with Emojis by just tapping on them.

The Bubble Effects we found quite captivating. You can apply different effects to your iMessages, you can even opt for scratch to reveal. There are similar effects available for the full messaging screen (such as fireworks).

The Messages app now supports handwritten messages, too. Digital Touch message option is available as well. You bet stickers are also coming with the new app. The Messages app is now open to developers, too, so you can expect various mini iMessages apps to pop-up in the App Store and enhance your experience.

And the rest...

The iOS 10 has a few more features added to other system apps :

- The Notes now supports collaboration between different contributors.
- The Mail supports conversation view and Side-by-side Mail compose in iPad.
- The Live Photos are now digitally stabilized and you can edit them if you like.
- Read receipts by conversation and Markup in iMessages.
- Faster FaceTime connectivity.
- CarPlay app reordering and CarPlay on ultrawide screens.
- Bedtime Alarm.
- Toll avoidance in Maps and Air quality index and air quality maps for China.
- Finally, the Safari on the iPad gets spiltscreen view and Unlimited tabs in Safari.

Privacy

Finally Apple has taken steps to enhance privacy - the new iOS 10 has end-to-end encryption, all intelligence and suggestions are happening on-device - there is nothing in the cloud or Apple's servers, there is no user profiling, and all privacy data is not shared between apps.

Apple announced a lots of stuff at WWDC 2016 Keynote.

Apple's announcements today were spread across all four of its platforms: watchOS (Apple Watch), tvOS (Apple TV), OS X (now known as macOS), and iOS (iPhone/iPads).

iOS 10 is our biggest release yet, with incredible features in Messages and an all-new design for Maps, Photos, and Apple Music. With macOS Sierra, Siri makes its debut on your desktop and Apple Pay comes to the web. The latest watchOS offers easier navigation and a big boost in performance. And the updated tvOS brings expanded Siri searches.

Lets Start WWDC 2016 !!!

watchOS

watchOS 3, shipping this fall but available to developers today, packs a bunch of new tricks:

– Instant loading of apps, doing away with the sluggish launches people have complained about since day 1.

– “Scribble” allows you to reply to a message by sloppily writing with your fingertip.

– New faces (Including one just for physical activity that brings your steps taken, calories burned, etc to the front).

– Like to run one watch face while you work but another at night? You can now let multiple faces run at once and just swipe between them.

– A new “Dock” interface that lets you quickly jump between apps that are running.

– Better support for users in wheelchairs.

tvOS

AppleTV’s tvOS is picking up some new stuff, too:

– “Dark mode”, a darker theme for night time viewing (or if you just don’t like AppleTV’s crazy bright look).

– If you download a video app to your iPhone and that app has an AppleTV version, it’ll auto download to your AppleTV.

– Most major tv channels have their own AppleTV app and, until now, you’ve had to give each and every one the credentials to your cable account. That’s a lot of typing. “Single Sign On” handles that automatically now.

– You can now use Siri voice search to find content within third party apps, like YouTube.

- Your iPhone Is A Good AppleTV Remote Again. It replicates the remote’s touchpad, allowing you to navigate AppleTV’s UI. The accelerometer/gyroscope can be used as a game controller. You can use your iPhone’s keyboard to type on AppleTV again!

Developer preview launches today, and ships to everyone “this Fall”.

macOS Sierra

OS X Gets A Rebranding. Well, it wasn’t like the others. After 15 years as OS X, Apple’s Mac OS is now just.. macOS.

The first release of (the operating system now known as) macOS will be called macOS Sierra. Like pretty much everything Apple announced today, Sierra will ship this Fall.

- Auto Unlock When You're Near. Your Mac can automatically unlock when it detects you’re sitting in front of it with your iPhone or Apple watch.

- Copy/Paste Between All Of Your Devices. Copy something on your computer, and immediately paste it on your iPhone or iPad (or vice versa).

-Automatically free up hard drive space. macOS can free up storage by automatically backing up and removing local copies of files you haven’t used in a long time things like old iPhone backups, redundant Mail data, and your browsing cache.

- Want to watch Netflix but need to keep working? A new PIP mode lets you pop a Safari video out to a little chromeless box that can be dragged around without taking up any more screen space than it needs.

- As rumored for months and months, Siri is now a part of macOS. You can ask Siri basic stuff, like movie times or weather predictions. But you can also ask more complicated things — like “Show me files that Ken sent me, but just the ones I’ve tagged ‘draft".

iOS 10

It wouldn't be WWDC without a new major release of iOS. While WWDC often tends to focus mostly on new behind-the-scenes developer stuff that users don’t necessarily see directly, Craig Federighi called iOS 10 “the biggest iOS release for users ever".

- The New Lock Screen. 3D Touch support on notifications. You can do things like: Deep press on an iMessage to see more messages from that thread for context. TouchID has just gotten too damned fast. Nine times out of 10, a quick tap of the home button unlocks the whole phone. Now, if you just want to see your notifications, you won’t need to press any buttons at all.

- Widgets Behind App Icons. Looking to make both 3D Touch and iOS widgets more useful, you can now access an app’s widget by 3D touching its icon.

- Siri Integration For Third Party Developers. Developers will now be able to hook into third party apps, enabling system-wide voice commands.

- QuickType Gets Smarter. QuickType — the buttons above the iOS keyboard that try to predict what you’re going to say — is getting a lot smarter by way of context.

- VoIP Integrated Right Into The Phone Dialer. VoIP-capable apps like Skype and WhatsApp can now hook right into the Phone application. No more crappy “John is calling! Open Skype!” notifications — it’ll can look just like a standard incoming call.

- Maps Gets A Refresh. Beyond an overall interface refresh, iOS’ built-in Maps app is picking up some tricks from Spotlight’s “Proactive” AI — namely, Maps will be able to dig into your calendars and location history to offer up directions to where it thinks you’re heading.

- Apple Music Gets A Cleaner Look. Pretty much right off the bat, Apple Music was bashed for being… a bit confusing. It was pretty, sure — but at first glance, it was a bit of a mess. Now it’s pretty AND easier to just pick up and use.

- All Of Your HomeKit Stuff In One Place. “Home” is an aggregator app, bringing all of these HomeKit devices — smart lights, connected garage door openers, etc — into one hub. You can set up “scenes” like “Night Mode” that lock your smartlocks and kill the lights, or geofenced triggers that open your garage door and turn on the AC when you get home.

- Messages Gets A Massive Refresh. When linking to things like images or YouTube, the Messages will show inline previews of those items instead of just an ugly link. Type something, switch to the emoji keyboard, and any word that has a correlating emoji will turn orange. Tap that orange word, and bam! Emoji-fied. Invisible Ink: Garbled messages that only appear when you swipe across them. Why? Because sometimes you want a message to have a bit of anticipation/surprise factor… or you want to know a message wont appear on screen until your recipient’s eyes (and not those of random snoops) are looking.

The developer preview lands today, a public beta will ship in July, but the public, built-for-everyone build will ship... you guessed it: this Fall.

10 Chrome feature that will make your life easier

Probably most of you are already using Chrome as your primary browser. If not, switch to it immediately. Chrome is extremely fast and flexible when compared to any other browser.
These tips will help you to get most out of the Chrome browser.

1. Pin Tab.

If you are someone who has generally large number of tab open then you will find this 'Pin Tab' technique useful.The pin tab reduce the tab size to favicon. Right click on tab and select pin tab to get it done, simple.

2. Drag and Re-size textbox on webpages.

Another good feature. A lot of times, the text boxes on webpages are annoying. They are too small and after you have typed a few lines, you get a scroll bar which is irritating. On Chrome, you could actually drag that box from the corner and make it bigger. You could try it right now with the comment box at the bottom of this page.

3. Open Accidentally Closed Tabs.

If you are a heavy tab user and have got too many tabs open in Chrome then identifying them is a problem, and you could end up spending considerable amount of time to find out which tab you closed accidentally. You can quickly reopen that tab before you lose track. i.e. simply ctrl + shift + T.

4. Task Manager.

Yeah I am saying Task manager in chrome. Chrome treats each and every tab as a separate process, so if one of them starts creating problem it can be killed and browser crash could be prevented. We can see memory and CPU resource consumed by each tab. You can access it through Tools_> Task Manager or by pressing SHIFT + Esc.

5. Drag Multiple Tabs at once.

Most of us are familiar with dragging one tab into new window. You can do that with multiple windows too, simply use ctrl Key and select other tab (same as selecting multiple files) and then drag it to other window.

6. Drag and Drop Search.

It was the nice and quick way to search word by electing it and 'search google for...' You can do that in a new and quick way too. Simply select the word you want to search and then drag it to 'new tab' button it will show result in new tab with your default search engine. Or there is an extension available here which is customizable.

7. About Memory.

For the geeks among you, Chrome provides an “About memory” page that can accessed by typing about: memory in the address bar. This gives detailed insights into how different processes in the browser are consuming memory. This shows memory usage of all running browser.

8. Navigate Between Tabs Quickly.

Use Ctrl+Tab to navigate Tabs one by one

Press Ctrl-1 to go to 1st Tab
Press Ctrl-2 to go to 2nd Tab
...
Press Ctrl-9 to switch to the last Tab

9. Use AutoFill to Auto-Complete an Address.

If you find yourself typing your address time and time again,you might want to consider Chrome's AutoFill options which can remember it and save you the repeat effort. Go to settings -> Options -> Personal Stuff -> Click on the check-box “Enable Autofill to fill out web forms in a single click” -> Click on Manager autofill settings -> Click on ‘Add new Address’ and enter the information.

You can also choose to add a credit card via AutoFill, but for security reasons we'd advise thinking twice before going down that route.

10. Google Chrome Browser Shortcuts Keys.

The following are some useful shortcuts:

Alt+F – Open the wrench menu (i.e. chrome settings menu).
Ctrl+J – Go to downloads window.
Ctrl+H – Go to history window.
Ctrl+Tab – Navigate Tabs.
Alt+Home – Go to home page.
Ctrl+U – View source code of the current page.
Ctrl+K – To search quickly in the address bar.
Ctrl+L – Highlights the URL in the address bar (use this to copy/paste the URL quickly).
Ctrl+N – Open a new Chrome browser window.
Ctrl+Shift+N – Open a new incognito window (for private browsing).
Ctrl+Shift+B – Toggle bookmark display.
Ctrl+W – Close the current Tab.
Alt+Left Arrow – Go to the previous page from your history.
Alt+Right Arrow – Go to the next page from your history.
Space bar – Scroll down the current web page.

LG 8K TV

CES is the place to be to see insanely oversized TVs that only the 1% will be able to afford. LG's 98-inch 8K LED TV is a prime example of that premium luxury. With a resolution of 7,680 x 4,320, the flat screen has four times the resolution of a 4K TV and eight times the resolution of a full HD TV. Like so many new TVs at CES, the 8K LED TV boasts a number of picture-enhancing features like High Dynamic Range (HDR), increased brightness and ultra deep blacks. No word on how much the 8K LED TV will cost, but expect it to cost somewhere between really expensive and extremely expensive.

LG rollable display

LG showed a rollable 18-inch, 1-millimeter-thick OLED display prototype that can play live video as it rolls up. Right now, LG can only produce an 18-inch rollable display, but LG foresees a future of rollable displays, big and small, that you can pick up and carry with you. The company's goal is to bring rollable, large-screen TVs to market within the next few years.

Technics SL-1200 turntable

Panasonic surprised at CES by reviving the Technics brand and unveiling a drool-worthy updated version of its legendary SL-1200 turntable. The 50th anniversary edition updates the design with a high-precision direct-drive motor that Panasonic claims produces audiophile-grade quality. And the design is gorgeous enough that non-audiophiles will appreciate it.

HTC Vive Pre

Oculus Rift is officially on notice with the debut of the HTC Vive Pre. The latest developer version of HTC's virtual-reality headset never disappoints, and the inclusion of a front-facing camera takes the experience to a new level of convenience now that wearers can see the "real" world as they wander the Vive's very impressive virtual one. Now all we need is a release date.

Nikon D5

The Nikon D5 is a beast of a camera. As Nikon's top-of-the-line DSLR, it's designed for professional photographers who need the very best in performance. The D5 doesn't disappoint; it boasts a redesigned 20.8-megapixel full-frame image sensor, 153 autofocus points with 99-cross-points, continuous shooting at 12 frames per second with autofocus-tracking, and ISO sensitivity form 100-102400 (expandable to ISO 3280000). On top of all that power, the DSLR also shoots 4K video at 30 fps, something even Canon's DSLRs can't do.

Kodak Super 8 camera

Fifty years after the launch of the original Super 8 film camera, Kodak unveiled an early prototype of a new Super 8 at CES, and there’s no doubt filmmakers of all generations will try and get their hands on one. The revived camera is a modern update on the original’s design, and it’s not entirely analog. There’s a digital viewfinder, and users who choose Kodak for processing will receive a digital copy of their imagery in addition to an 8mm film to use in projectors. The first of the new units are expected to roll out in a limited-edition version in fall 2016 for the cost of somewhere between $400 to $750, and we can expect a cheaper version in 2017.

Oculus Rift VR

Years after it shattered its Kickstarter campaign, the (now) Facebook-owned Oculus VR is finally shipping the consumer version of the Oculus Rift VR headset. The cost to be at the forefront of VR is $599, which is on the pricey side, and doesn't even include a PC to power it (Mac isn't supported). The Rift ships with a sensor for motion tracking, an Xbox One controller and a copy of Lucky's Tale. (Those who pre-ordered will also get a copy of EVE: Valkyrie.) High price aside, the Rift offers incredibly immersive experiences that really make you feel like you've been transported into another world. Our only gripe is it's not shipping with the Oculus Touch motion controllers.

Along with the impressive eco-friendly platform, FF also designed - with the help of virtual reality - the 1,000-horsepower FFZERO1 track car that hints at coming production models with its UFO body line. You might not be able to put up a down payment on an FF car you, but you may never have the chance - FF wants to offer mobility as a service rather than sell you a car.

BMW AirTouch 3D

When BMW showed its gesture control concept at the 2015 CES, no one thought it reach production - at least not right away. Then it went and put it into the dashboard of the 2016 7 Series. Now BMW has outdone itself already with the new AirTouch 3D gesture control system in the i Vision Future Interaction concept car. With it, you can control the car's in-dash screen just like a touchscreen without ever actually touching it. The super-cool-looking system is also the next step in reducing distracted driving.

Ehang passenger drone

Ehang, a Chinese drone maker, unveiled a high-flying 500-pound drone, which in theory would also be able to serve as an autonomous transportation vehicle for real humans. According to the company, the elegantly designed drone can fly one person at approximately 100 kilometers (62 miles) per hour on a roughly 23-minute trip. The all-electric drone even has redundant equipment to ensure safety in bad weather One caveat: It's not legal in the U.S. yet.

SCiO food scanner

Curious just how many carbs and calories are sitting on your dinner plate? A new pocket-sized Bluetooth-enabled gadget called the SCiO promises to reveal the nutritional value of your meal by scanning its chemical makeup. From French startup DietSensor, and developed with the help of Consumer Physics, the device uses near-infrared spectroscopy (the analysis of how molecules interact with light) to determine fat content, carbs and more of food. It will hit the consumer market later this year.

Hydrao Smart Shower

Let’s admit it. We all waste water. But it can be hard to gauge how much we’re wasting in order to change our ways. Hydrao Smart Shower is a genius answer to this problem. The Bluetooth LE shower head connects to an iPhone or iPad app where you can set alert intervals, like five gallons, seven gallons and 10 gallons. At each interval, LED lights will light up in three different colors to remind you how much water you’re using. Even more sustainable, a tiny turbine uses the water running through the shower head to generate enough energy to power the lights and Bluetooth connectivity.

Samsung Family Hub Smart Refrigerator

Samsung’s Family Hub Refrigerator combines a massive 21.5-inch, full HD touchscreen with surprising intelligence. The first refrigerator to integrate Amazon Alexa, the appliance features a pair of cameras on the inside that can monitor the fridge’s contents, which you access through a mobile app. The large, gorilla-glass-covered screen is also designed to act as a sort of replacement for all the important notes you can no longer attach via magnets to modern stainless steel refrigerators.

Under Armour’s Gemini 2 sneakers ($180) are fitness trackers for your feet. The sensor-filled sneakers track your workouts without needing to tether to a smartphone. Slip on the pair, and the tiny sensors embedded within the soles track where you’re going, the distance you’ve traveled and calories burned -- all details which are transmitted later to a corresponding app.

Fitbit Blaze

The Fitbit Blaze ($199) was met with mixed reaction when it was unveiled at CES, but the company's second attempt at a fitness watch is a big improvement in style over its predecessor and it's a whole lot smarter too. The Blaze features a colorful touchscreen, a collection of stylish leather and stainless steel bands and an assortment of personalization features. While it puts fitness first — you won't be getting Twitter notifications on this thing — you'll be able to answer (or reject) phone calls, check out text messages and receive calendar alerts.

Code-A-Pillar

The adorable Fisher-Price's Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar ($49.99) is more than what it seems: it teaches preschoolers the basics of learning to code. It comes with eight segments that feature a movement command icon on its surface (left, right, spin, make a noise, etc.) Once the segments are connected and the start button is pressed, the Code-a-Pillar will take the programmed route. While there isn't any actual computer programming taking place, it reinforces skills associated with writing code.

Withings Thermo

Withings' WiFi-connected thermometer Thermo ($99.95) is used by hovering over the skin. While it's designed for babies -- allowing parents to take readings in the middle of the night without disturbing the little one -- it works just as well on adults. Plus, it's less invasive and more hygienic. The Thermo is placed just above the temporal artery, found at both temples on the forehead (now considered by medical institutions to be the most accurate spot to get a temperature reading).

CES, also known as the Consumer Electronics Show, is an internationally renowned electronics and technology trade show, attracting major companies and industry professionals worldwide. The annual show is held each January at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Not open to the public, the Consumer Technology Association - sponsored show typically hosts previews of products and new product announcements.

The first CES was held in June 1967 in New York City. It was a spinoff from the Chicago Music Show, which until then had served as the main event for exhibiting consumer electronics. The event had 17,500 attendees and over 100 exhibitors; the kickoff speaker was Motorola chairman Bob Galvin. From 1978 to 1994, CES was held twice each year: once in January in Las Vegas known as Winter Consumer Electronics Show (WCES) and once in June in Chicago, known as Summer Consumer Electronics Show (SCES).

Domain Name Server

The Domain name server also known as "DNS" are the servers or say machines that finds a particular "IP-ADDRESS" from the domain name. In other words, Domain Name Servers (DNS) are the Internet's equivalent of a phone book. They maintain a directory of domain names and translate them to Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. This is necessary because, although domain names are easy for people to remember, computers or machines, access websites based on IP addresses.

For better understanding I am giving you a Example below that will show you what is a domain name and how it is connect to the IP-ADDRESS.

EXAMPLE :- www.google.com

Above here is a link that would throw you to the Google Web Page. Here "google.com" is the "domain name" and ".com" is the top-level domain name. So this domain name would have a unique "IP-ADDRESS" on the internet and the DNS will search the internet for a IP-ADDRESS have the specified Domain Name.

Keep in mind that every single "domain name" have a unique "IP-ADDRESS" or say Internet Protocol (IP) Address.

Facebook launches M - your personal assistant

We have been reading reports about Facebook’s rumoured digital assistant codenamed Moneypenny. But, now we’ve got more details about Facebook’s new service that challenges Apple, Microsoft and Google’s personal assistants. In a Facebook post, Facebook Messenger head David Marcus introduced the new service called M.

"We’re beginning to test a new service called M. M is a personal digital assistant inside of Messenger that completes tasks and finds information on your behalf. It’s powered by artificial intelligence that’s trained and supervised by people."

Facebook says that M is very different from the other digital assistance services in the market as it actually completes the services on your behalf. With M, you can buy items, get your gifts delivered, book hotels and restaurants, check appointments and flights and a lot more.

Now, Facebook is ready to challenge Google’s Google Now, Microsoft’s Cortana and Apple’s Siri. Using your massive amount of data, Facebook is expected to push you services in a more personalized manner.This rollout is slow and a few hundred users will be seeing M in their Messenger for the time being. Google Launches YouTube Gaming specially for Gamers

Earlier this year, Google announced that it will be playing a bigger role in the gaming market. To complete with Amazon-owned Twitch, the company announced a new YouTube spinoff called YouTube Gaming.

On August 26, the company has launched the website that will feature more than 25,000 pages for different games.While you're watching a stream, YouTube Gaming looks more like a Netflix-style video service (or YouTube's mobile app) than its vanilla counterpart does, though the components are similar: you can see comments on the side, give a streamer a thumbs-up or thumbs-down, and subscribe to their work.

Even though Twitch has a complete dominance over the game live streaming for some time now, YouTube Gaming has the potential to become a serious threat to Twitch’s dominance. The service will also have iOS and Android apps.

As the website is dedicated to gaming, typing a phrase won’t give suggestion from movies and songs. During livestreams, the viewer can also chat with others and the creators can monitor the comments from the app. Each gaming stream will have a custom and easily-shareable URL and the videos will stream at 60fps.

Google Maps Introduces A Timeline for Lifetime !

Do you remember where you were and what you were up to last night? Google does. What about last week? Google knows that, too. Now it will let you retrace your exact location moment by moment.

A new function called Your Timeline on Google Maps shows exactly where you've traveled and when. The information Google uses to compile your location timeline has been collected since you started using the app. But don't worry, the function won't invade your privacy even further or share your timeline with others.

Your Timeline is private and visible only to you; and you control the locations you choose to keep. This means you can easily delete a day or your full history at any time.

You can edit any place that appears in Your Timeline, including removing a specific location or giving a frequented spot a private name like - Mom’s House or My Favorite Running Spot. This spot will then appear right in Google Maps when you’re logged in.

Although it can't realize a real purpose for this besides remembering where you were or tracing your steps to find a lost pair of keys, it is a fun function to play around with.

The timeline function is being rolled out to Google accounts across the country, so keep your eye on your Maps app over the next few weeks!

USB-C vs USB 3.1 : What's the Difference ?

USB Type-C is a description of the port connection itself. It’s small, compact, and replaces the standard USB Type-A and B connections as well as the myriad of micro and mini USB ports. Basically, it’s one USB connection type to rule them all. And best of all, it’s reversible, so the days of flipping your USB cable three times before inserting it correctly may finally be numbered. Over the next few years, look for USB Type-C to begin becoming the universal port for all devices including desktop, laptop, and mobile.

One thing to note, because announcements of Type-C connections have come hand in hand with USB 3.1, many people assume they’re the same, or at the very least that all Type-C runs on the 3.1 spec. This is not the case. Remember, Type-C is the connection type and may actually run on a lesser spec – USB 2.0 even – so don’t assume you’ll be getting all that 3.1 goodness just because you see that tiny reversible port.

USB 3.1 (aka USB 3.1/gen 2) is the successor to USB 3.0. Identifiable by its bright turquois port, USB 3.1 doubles the transfer speed of 3.0 to a whopping 10 Gbps. USB Power Delivery 2.0 makes a big step forward as well with up to 100W of power. And like previous versions of USB, it is fully backwards compatible with its predecessors.

When used with the Type-C connection, things get really interesting for 3.1. The 100W of PD v2.0 is enough to power and charge full sized notebooks, which means the proprietary AC port may soon be replaced by this universal alternative. With 4 data lanes, USB 3.1 Type-C can even carry DisplayPort and HDMI video signals, further adding to its ubiquity. Again, one port to rule them all.

USB Type-C promises to solve this problem with a universal connector that’s also capable of twice the theoretical throughput of USB 3.0 can provide far more power. That’s why Apple is pairing up Type-C and USB 3.1 to eliminate the power connector on the MacBook. It’s a goal we agree with, even if we’re less thrilled with the company’s decision to dump USB ports altogether with that single exception. Google’s approach, in providing two USB-C and two regular USB 3.0 ports, is obviously preferable, even though it adds a bit of bulk to the machine.

Gone are the days where videos use to be just flat and non realistic. World second largest search engine, after its parent company Google, YouTube has recently announced the support of 3D stereoscopic videos to its already existing 360° videos. This allow user to see a video in any direction and not just where the camera is pointing.

Now with the addition of 3D inside 360°, our virtual world just got more real. Remember those punch flying out of the screen and that close-to-real encounter with rain falling while sitting on your theatre seat. This 3D effect really spiced up classic styles of movie presentation. So adding this amazement to all new 360° view, will result in more breath taking virtual reality experience.

This VR (Virtual Reality) can be experienced right away if you have VR devices like Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear VR or Google Cardboard. Now with upgrade, user can see immersive three dimensional video as they swivel around to change their view. Wondering ‘how they are shot?’ then here is the answer. These videos are shot with the cameras pointing in the different directions and then stitched by using special software.

There is an increasing library of 360° videos on YouTube. Once opened, they can be viewed in any direction either by panning videos in your chrome browser using WASD keys or by moving your phone on YouTube mobile app. There are music videos from well known artists, F1 rides, horror episodes, view of an airport are all available in 360° view. Also recent upload of by Bud Light, is the first ad in 360°.This support has opened a whole new dimension to moviemakers and storytellers. By exploiting this they get nothing but their audiences, enthralled.

Before we use to see movies just as audiences, but now we will be able to experience movies right from the eyes of the characters in it. You may end up falling from the aeroplane in a wingman suit while chilling in your living room or you might just visit moon just from your desk and not moving an inch!

VR can’t get much closer than this.

Google AI's Calorie Counter

At Rework Deep Learning Summit in Boston, Google research scientist Kevin Murphy unveiled a project that uses sophisticated deep learning algorithms to analyze a still photo of food, and estimate how many calories are on the plate. It's called Im2Calories.

Like many deep learning applications, it marries visual analysis in this case, determining the depth of each pixel in an image with pattern recognition. Im2Calories can draw connections between what a given piece of food looks like, and vast amounts of available caloric data.

For example if Im2Calories spots a burger, it's because the pixels in the image resemble those in existing shots of burgers, not because a researcher held the system's hand, so to speak, during various practice runs.
