As many of you might know I sit in front of a computer for the most part of my day and at times I do get bored and look up random things. Well as I'm working on the newest episode of Tech Files I've been happily listening myself to an amazing podcast audio drama called
'The Leviathan Chronicles' by Christof Laputka.

Writing and Recording

So I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season. Mine was good and so far this has been a great year. I've finally began working on my second FanFic story. Yes, I'm writing again and because of that I'm going to need some people to be my proof readers.... cause I suck at spelling. Any volunteers?

Second I'm about to record another story picked out of the wonderfully vast amount of stories submitted. Now I admit this is an older story that many of us already know, but I still think needs to be told. Well not just told but have a full cast put to this story for the first time in Tech Files history. That's right I've put together a full cast to do the voices on this up coming Tech File story. If it goes well I'll be doing the stories like that more often. I'm using local talent for the most part so it's easy to just bribe them with snacks and soda. My friends are easy like that.
On the same note I'm thinking of adding some bumps at the end of the show to help promote other great podcast that are out there. It's an experiment and I'll need your feedback to tell what does and doesn't work.

Ok that's all I have to report for now.

Well I have been absent of my podcasting duties for the past month. Unfortunately, due to me being out of work I spend 90% of my day looking for work and taking care of my boys. Which has become a full time job for me. In all by the end of my day I'm tired and have been feeling completely unmotivated. I'm sorry everyone and I will do my best to get back on track. Thanks for putting up with my lack of being able to produce a show out one a regular schedual. I'll try and do better.

The words have lead me astray

Well dudes and dudettes I've once again seem to be slacking in my recording responsibilities. Well I have a good reason, well at least to me it's a good reason. I've been caught up reading an absolutely wonderful book called 'Jack Wakes Up' by one of the best new names to crime drama fiction novelists Seth Harwood. I'm telling you this boy can write. I'm caught up in page after page of this story that takes place in the mean streets of San Fransico. It's about a once Hollywood action hero actor, Jack, who after making his big movie 'Shack 'em Down' falls from glory with drugs and scandles Hollywood is famous for. After cleaning up getting ready to make a come back a favor for a friend drags him back into the world of drugs and the seedy underworld crime drug lords. I'm telling you this thing is ACTION packed.

Seth is one of the great audio authors out there on the net who originally gave his book away for free in audio format, which you can find at sethhardood.com. Yeah, I listened to it first but there is nothing that can be taken away from the actual written word. Where as you read the words from the page your mind wonders and the world with those words become real in the theater of your mind.

Seth is actually one of the people who inspired me to begin this podcast. Seth along with others like Scott Sigler and J.C. Hutchins have truly changed the way the book and audio book market is heading these days. These guys are truly the frontier men of the book industry today. Now Seth doesn't only put out his own stories but created a website and podcast for other authors of crime drama fiction nto have there stories read also. This is where the idea for this podcast came from. For me to read others stories for all to hear. So thanks Seth and for the inspiration and the great book.

So once I've finished the book .. give me two more days I'll record another episode and get it out to you guys. Till then...

Getting out of a Stinky situation

Ok dudes and dudettes, I know I've been about absent for about 2 weeks now. Sorry lots fo work and home life to deal with and the fact that it's so freakin hot that all the fans going off in my house makes it difficult to record. Well last night I tightened my belt and was about to record when a frantic nieghbor comes knocking at my door. Apperently a skunk had gotten into her house thru the kitty door and was there in her kitchen eating the cat food.
So I go over there to try and help some how get the skunk to vacat her home. Get over there and the skunk was nowhere in the kitchen. So a search of the house began. Found the little skunk under the living room couch. Wow, ok what to do now?
Tried to leave a trail of cat food leading to the door. Well it would come ut only far enough to get the food that was closest to the couch but then would quickly hide again under the couch. finally after about an hour of this took a chance and slowly lifted the couch leaving the skunk no where to hide. I totally expected to get sprayed. Luckly, I didn't and the skunk finally took his que and slow walked his way thru the house and out the back door.
So with this done I go home and honestly I just didn't have time to begin reading and recording a new episode. Sorry about that everyone but I know I'll be excused for this one due to the good deed nature of the situation. So hopefully tonight will be round two of trying to record a new episode. So till then...

Past weekend Events

Well this past weekend was fully a fun filled packed weekend.
First Saturday was another day of Airsoft Combat Tactical Training Simulations.

Did not get home till 5am Sunday morning. With all the talk and action with Zombies occurring in the audio drama Eyes of the Sparrow, I was happy that the last game was a zombie attack simulation. I'm telling you I held of a hoard of zombies with a pump action, tactical shotgun.

Then after 3 hours of sleep I was up and ready for a truly celebrated day. My youngest 5th birthday party. A day of pizza, ice cream, cake, video games, coaster rides and more. The day only ending with him needing to take a nap.

This was truly a fun weekend. Tho I was unable to record anything as by 8pm I was a walking zombie myself. Not to worry tho with enough sleep and extra caffeine I will be recording the 3rd installment of my story First Watch.
As a sneak preview the next story will be by none other than Arc.

Well dudes and dudettes of Tech Support or just the casual reader of this blog and subscriber of this podcast.
When i'm not hacking computer systems, keeping up with technical needs of Tech Support or reading report logs I like to sit down with a good book.
Well I have to say I do love a good sci-fi, thriller or horror novel. But I've recently picked up a book written by none other than 7th Son writer J.C. Hutchens.
This book is called Personal Effects: Dark Art and this book is freaky. Not only does the read of the book cause the hair on the back of your neck to stand up but it's what comes with the book that makes you question the noises you hear at night and makes you want to turn on all the lights in the house.

Ok I know you all have been patient with me. I didn't get an podcast episode last week. Hell, I was working 10 - 14 hour days last week. Can you blame me for not having any extra time :)

I began working on it an wouldn't you know I fell asleep at my computer. Yeah, about 1am last night i feel asleep sitting at my computer. So Give me an extra day to complete the editing and I'll get an episode out to you.

Beating Mainframe To The Punch

Ok here's the deal. I spent the weekend doing Tactical Simulations. Basically, I'm when I'm all out of excuses to dodge Mainframe's training I want to have the edge. No I'm not always about playing fair. Heck, I'm a hacker!!! If I want to beat the game i hack it find all the cheat codes and then play away.

Well there's not always a cheat to Tactical training , so I'm busting my hump training with an incredible group of people out at the Desert Fox Airsoft Fields.

Well I came home from this weekend more tired and physically hurt than prior times. So I ended up sleeping away the time I usually record the podcast. So Once again this weeks is delayed. I will get one out there for everyone, so don't think I'm totally slacking.

On another note R.I.P. Audiophile. This past weekend TS members tried to deal with a nasty bit of a challenge by the demon possessed Defrag calling it's self Fragment. Fragment posed a challenge and this time folks we didn't meet up to the challenge. It's sad but due to our mistake Fragment took Audiophile away from us. Audiophile you will be missed.

In all serious note people thanks to Alee, Krystle and even Trevor for putting together this sweet story line. It was lots of fun trying to out figure things that were totally out of our control. Great job everyone who joined along with the story line and made it fun.

I'll post more when I post the newest podcast later this week.
