This data can guide targeted intervention, grouping, revision planning, and lesson sequencing.

Assignments and content can be quickly adjusted or reassigned from the teacher dashboard.

The platform is designed specifically for UK secondary education, meaning a tighter focus and better usability than many generalised EdTech tools.

Their approach reflects that it has followed the recommended path for using the Ezy EdTech software. In its simplest terms this is:

1. Set weekly tasks that support class activities – 77 between 09/24 and 03/24
2. Manage participation
3. Review outcomes

Although quite a few tasks have been set, the time cost is low. Many would say it is very low when the resulting activity is considered.

The results, which are often difficult to appreciate before the software is implemented, speak for themselves.

Following the task setting efforts of the teaching team, the 17 students in this group did the rest. They have spent over 469 hours online in 7 months.

That level of activity helps to set out just how much support the tech provides. For a single class with 1 FTE the automation this triggered is incredible:

5,235 learning events were logged, marked and organised for future teacher and student reflection on actual answers provided and feedback relating to the right answer for each question.

A key point is that this work does not sit in individual student folders. Digital replace paper records which transforms:

• Reflection speed
• Identification of learning gaps
• Activities to fill the gaps

With just over 12 months to exams next year the average for this learning group is 1,544 question records which can be accessed individually by students and by the teacher for personal reviews or can be considered collectively by the teaching team so they can see where the weaknesses lie. 

The college has been charged £10.00 per student which means that the average learning hours of 27 hours and 43 minutes has cost 37p an hour with another term to go before completion of the first school year.

Today's Year 12 Recap is looking at the topic of supply curves. Supply curves provide economists with a graphical way of representing the quantity supplied of a good or service at any given price. Being able to understand the basic upward shape of supply curves and the distinction between a movement along the supply curve and a shift is a crucial skill amongst economists.

With the June exam series fast approaching, the first day of our Year 12 Recap looks at the most fundamental topic of economics: the aptly named ‘The Economic Problem’. The Economic Problem asks the question “How do we satisfy an unlimited set of wants and needs when we only have access to a limited, set of resources?”. This underpins the reason why a lot of topics in economics are studied – for example, efficiency concerns how well resources are used; this would not be a prominent concern if resources were not scarce. 

Flipped learning. A pedagogical approach in which the traditional notion of classroom-based learning is averted: students are introduced to the learning material before class with classroom time then being used to deepen understanding through discussion with peers and problem-solving activities facilitated by teachers.

Our platform perfectly equips teachers with all the tools required to run a flipped classroom. Students can introduce themselves to topics by watching lecture videos and completing relevant assessments, prior to covering topics in class. As a teacher, you can then log in and use the reports to identify any areas within the topic that may require more attention in class. This in turn cuts down the time in class that you spend on basic knowledge-based teaching/learning and instead allows you to spend more class time developing AO2 and AO3 skills with EZY science for example.

Consolidation – many schools use the platform as a consolidation tool, where students are required to independently recap topics once they’ve been covered in class. The explanation feedback after every single question helps to fill any knowledge gaps as students work through the assessment – a truly formative experience!

Errors were identified on a nigh-negligible number of videos (less than 0.1%), and were only down for a couple of hours over the course of yesterday afternoon. We thank you for your patience. No further issues anticipated.

Hope you are all keeping well and ready for the new academic year.

Some of you may be experiencing an issue whereby a small portion of content is unable to load, and is showing a HTTP 503 error. We are aware of this and are actively documenting exactly where this is appearing, as well as triaging this with our cloud services provider. We are working hard to restore this small percentage of content, and will update you the moment we have progress.

This error only affected 14.26% of the videos we have on the platform, mainly lecture videos. The student’s homework, video feedback, and grading system were unaffected.

The Ezy Edtech ltd team are greatly saddened by the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. During her reign of over 70 years as Britain’s longest serving monarch, her sense of duty and loyalty to her role was a shining example to everyone. Moreover, we have renewed all suppliers’ contracts such as the Zapper app, which makes more accessible our revision pocket booklets by pulling the interactive videos lessons, and quizzes from our platform to iOS and Android devices which increasingly more and more students are relying on for their revision routines.

The EzyEducation platform and customer relationships benefited from £2.5m of investment and reinvested earnings. This means that Ezy Edtech bypasses the development costs usually associated with start-ups. 

This is the way teachers operate in class and is at the heart of all teaching models. However, most digital models do not replicate this experience. However, there are several clear benefits if unique virtual explanations are made available when students work on their own and their teacher isn’t available to help:
