What type of resources are provided?
Ezy offers a suite of interactive digital learning materials, including:
Short, focused video lectures (6–12 minutes) that align with A-Level specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, CAEI).Automated assessments with instant feedback (explanations), worked solutions, and varied question types.A Gradebook and analytics dashboard tracking school, class and student performance at assessment and question level.Assignment tools for teachers to set, monitor, and review tasks.Document management features, allowing uploading and sharing of revision guides, worksheets, and notes. How is this utilised in lessons? Teachers can use the video content to introduce or reinforce topics during lessons. Assessments can be deployed as:In-lesson quizzes or plenaries – many schools use assessments to check learning at the end of lessons. Many teachers use the assessment progress tracker live in class to support far more effective activity management.Review prior assessments in class (following homework or for revision close to exams) via a dynamic gradebook that highlights class and individual weaknesses.Use of worksheets and pdfs to students in class. Most schools use the platform to increase independent learning, flip lessons and accelerate skills development.
The platform is adaptable for whole-class instruction, small group work, or individualised tasks.
How does this inform planning? Detailed analytics provide real-time insights into:Which students are struggling and with what specific concepts.Common misconceptions across a class or year group.Progress against curriculum coverage – end of section assessments provides a syllabus knowledge audit. All activities are timed to provide details of assessment attainment and time spent
This data can guide targeted intervention, grouping, revision planning, and lesson sequencing.
How can this save time? EzyEducation saves significant teacher time by:Automating the marking of all assessments.Providing instant feedback to students.Generating performance reports without manual input.Enabling quick assignment setting with built-in resources aligned to specifications. How can this be updated automatically or quickly? The platform is cloud-based and updated centrally by EzyEducation. Teachers and students always have access to the latest content without needing to download or install updates. New specification content is rolled out in line with exam board changes.
Assignments and content can be quickly adjusted or reassigned from the teacher dashboard.
How is this better than any other systems? Compared to traditional learning platforms:It offers fully integrated content (video + assessment + analytics) in one system.Automated marking and feedback reduce workload far more than PDF-based or worksheet platforms.Student progress data is more granular, allowing for precise interventions. Its exam-specification alignment ensures high relevance and minimal redundancy in planning. It is a genuinely digital and data focussed platform. Minimal paper pushing in a format that is very 21st Century and is not rooted in the 20th Century. It makes flipped learning an easily achieved reality.
The platform is designed specifically for UK secondary education, meaning a tighter focus and better usability than many generalised EdTech tools.

What a good outcome looks like

Norton Hill School started with Ezy EdTech in April 2024. After an initial period gaining software experience and building confidence, a full year group embarked on their Ezy EdTech journey in September 2024.

Their approach reflects that it has followed the recommended path for using the Ezy EdTech software. In its simplest terms this is:

Set weekly tasks that support class activities – 77 between 09/24 and 03/24

Manage participation

Review outcomes

Although quite a few tasks have been set, the time cost is low. Many would say it is very low when the resulting activity is considered.

The results, which are often difficult to appreciate before the software is implemented, speak for themselves.

Following the task setting efforts of the teaching team, the 17 students in this group did the rest. They have spent over 469 hours online in 7 months.

That level of activity helps to set out just how much support the tech provides. For a single class with 1 FTE the automation this triggered is incredible:

5,235 learning events were logged, marked and organised for future teacher and student reflection on actual answers provided and feedback relating to the right answer for each question.

A key point is that this work does not sit in individual student folders. Digital replace paper records which transforms:

Reflection speed

Identification of learning gaps

Activities to fill the gaps

With just over 12 months to exams next year the average for this learning group is 1,544 question records which can be accessed individually by students and by the teacher for personal reviews or can be considered collectively by the teaching team so they can see where the weaknesses lie.

The college has been charged £10.00 per student which means that the average learning hours of 27 hours and 43 minutes has cost 37p an hour with another term to go before completion of the first school year.

Student gradebook extract

What a great start position for reflection. Students will be drawn in to look at the explanations for problem questions.

Teacher view of a single End of Module assessment

After 7 months of work setting the teaching team now has access to 77 heatmaps like this. This provides the perfect support for development of specific exam skills in year 13.

The final word

Quote from Norton Hill School

May 2025

If you are in Year 12, it is essential that you are confident with the basic principles and functions of the price mechanism to help understand how the interaction of demand and supply creates a prevailing equilibrium price and quantity.

With the June exam series fast approaching, the first day of our Year 12 Recap looks at the most fundamental topic of economics: the aptly named ‘The Economic Problem’. The Economic Problem asks the question “How do we satisfy an unlimited set of wants and needs when we only have access to a limited, set of resources?”. This underpins the reason why a lot of topics in economics are studied – for example, efficiency concerns how well resources are used; this would not be a prominent concern if resources were not scarce.

How EZYedtech can help your school with flipped learning?

How our platform can help you with flip learning

Flipped learning. A pedagogical approach in which the traditional notion of classroom-based learning is averted: students are introduced to the learning material before class with classroom time then being used to deepen understanding through discussion with peers and problem-solving activities facilitated by teachers.

Our platform perfectly equips teachers with all the tools required to run a flipped classroom. Students can introduce themselves to topics by watching lecture videos and completing relevant assessments, prior to covering topics in class. As a teacher, you can then log in and use the reports to identify any areas within the topic that may require more attention in class. This in turn cuts down the time in class that you spend on basic knowledge-based teaching/learning and instead allows you to spend more class time developing AO2 and AO3 skills with EZY science for example.

Consolidation – many schools use the platform as a consolidation tool, where students are required to independently recap topics once they’ve been covered in class. The explanation feedback after every single question helps to fill any knowledge gaps as students work through the assessment – a truly formative experience!

During her reign of over 70 years as Britain’s longest serving monarch, her sense of duty and loyalty to her role was a shining example to everyone. She was admired by, and inspirational to, so many people across the world in the way she carried out her royal duties with dignity, grace, humour, and compassion. She will be sadly missed.

EzyEdtech team

ezyeducation.co.uk

Address: Office C, Norland House, 9 Queensdale crescent, W11 4TL

I founded The Local Teachers Ltd in 2015, with the vision to make education more accessible and convenient locally. At the Local Teachers, we helped over 25,000 students in the last 8 years to boost their grades and help them go to their desired universities, we have fostered partnerships with 13 schools in London and 3 councils to help them support pupils with our intervention tuition programs in sciences, Mathematics and English.

With that same vision and passion, I have founded Ezy Edtech Ltd to purchase assets as part of the liquidation of EzyEducation Ltd via a CVL to make quality education more accessible in different ways.

That purchase transfers the rights of the EzyEducation website, courses, and high-quality book stocks of 10,000 with a commercial value of £5-10 per book to Ezy Edtech Ltd. The goodwill and support of ex EzyEducation employees has also been secured.

Moreover, we have renewed all suppliers’ contracts such as the Zapper app, which makes more accessible our revision pocket booklets by pulling the interactive videos lessons, and quizzes from our platform to iOS and Android devices which increasingly more and more students are relying on for their revision routines.

The EzyEducation platform and customer relationships benefited from £2.5m of investment and reinvested earnings. This means that Ezy Edtech bypasses the development costs usually associated with start-ups.

However, most digital models do not replicate this experience. However, there are several clear benefits if unique virtual explanations are made available when students work on their own and their teacher isn’t available to help:
Learning would not come to a sudden halt when errors occur.Independent learning can flourish as students have help at hand.Explanations can showcase application of knowledge and skills, which is different to the instruction to replay generalised theory/content.Step by step explanations are invaluable for Maths as they can re-enforce correct technique for exams. This is particularly important during the reflection process when awareness of weaknesses and access to an explanation is invaluable.
EzyEducationDecember 2021
