Following last month's endearing single I Want To Feel It In My Heart, Henry Coke has today revealed details of his forthcoming debut album Let It Set Us Alight, due for release on Friday 30th October via 5db Records. Alongside the news comes ‘Regret (You Make Me)’, a slow-burning anthem that steadily builds into soaring vocals, restless percussion and an impassioned delivery. Speaking about the single he shares “‘Regret (You Make Me)’ speaks to standing for something in the past that you don’t connect with anymore and feeling like you’ve wasted time by doing so, whether it’s a friendship, or a deeply-held belief. It deals with the conflict of no longer feeling that faith, as you question both the time you’ve wasted versus what you could now have if you’d only gone further in your commitment.” Take a listen below.

Following an exceptional performance at last year's Swn Festival, I've been following Cardiff's Why Horses? intently, eagerly awaiting new music. And today it arrives, as the band announce their signing to Brace Yourself Records. Coinciding with the news, the recently expanded five-piece have unveiled their first single for the label, ‘Yr Big Day’, finding them in fine form as experimental folk guitar patterns intertwine with their signature delivery to maximum effect. Sharing more details, singer Gabriel Austin Lester explains, “My mom always told me that you could pretty much do whatever you wanted on your birthday. After a fight with my family last year on my 21st birthday, I started to question what I should actually be doing. The song is a reminder of what a birthday should be about: a celebration of your life and how amazing it is that you’re still alive. When I thought about my life I thought about times I’ve been reminded I’m alive, that’s where in the song ‘her laugh, her smile, your father’s eyes’ comes from, it’s listing a few memories of honest sentimentality.” Take a listen below with the Grant Lester directed clip.

Cardiff's finest The Family Battenberg have revealed details of their highly anticipated forthcoming debut album Super Deluxe, due for release on 20th November via Stolen Body Records. Heading up the news is the band's ferocious new single Bed Bug, accompanied by a video featuring Getdown Services Ben Sadler in an Oscar nomination worthy performance. Speaking more about the track, the band say: “A lot of our songs sound like they’re about shagging, but aren’t, except this one sort of is. Bed Bug is about mites. How would a bed bug feel about getting obsessed with the person in the bed? We wrote it in a tent backstage at a festival in Orléans that we’d turned up three hours too early too because none of us speak French, demo’ing it there and then with no amps, and Billy hitting a guitar case for percussion. Even then we knew we wanted it to sound big. We’d spent nine months of 2025 not coming up with any new songs we were happy with, but this one thankfully broke our streak, and came to define the outlook of the new record”. Following its Hottest Record first play on Radio 1 last night, Nothing But Thieves return with their third single Baby Kool (Evelyn), taken from the upcoming album ‘Stray Dogs’ released on 25th September via RCA/Sony Music. Offering more details about the single the band share, “This one felt like we wandered back into Dom's garage, where the band started. It's got one foot in glam and the other in grunge. Those two worlds’ probably shouldn't get along, which is maybe why they did. Following on from last month's single 'The Table', Bristol’s Grandmas House have today shared the latest single from their long-awaited debut album 'Baby You’re A Winner', ahead of its release on August 21st release via Brace Yourself Records. Eventually everything has its crux, as Flora from Kansas knows all too well on new single The End - a searing portrait of love at its most destructive. “I thought it would be cool to sing about a certain relationship dynamic that I'm sure some people can relate to,” Flora explains. Approaching the recording with the emotional intensity of a teen drama, Flora wanted the track to hit just as hard as her previous release. According to Flora, “I wanted it to sound like a plot I would see in a teen drama.” Take a listen for yourselves below. Ahead of their second EP On The Island We Call Home, out 21st August on Polydor, Fletchr Fletchr have today shared new single Streetlights. A collision of driving percussion, towering melodies and commanding vocals, the track balances raw power with vulnerability as it unfolds in brilliant detail. Vocalist Rohan Fletcher explains, “‘Streetlights’ is about falling in love. Feeling like everything was aligned for you, then dealing with keeping that initial connection as alight as possible through the ups and downs of a relationship. ‘Streetlights’ feels special… it’s a much more hopeful take on this topic than we’ve written before.”

On the EP, he adds: “‘On The Island We Call Home’ feels like our most polished piece of work yet. While still completely self produced, we’ve refined what we learnt from ‘We All Feel The Same’ into a much heavier hitting project that was curated to translate on the live stage. We dive deeper than we have before on this EP, and it’s only the start of our next chapter. The themes we explore are more mature and we approach them with a better sense of what’s going on around us. You can hear a bit more angst and anger in this new set of songs.”

With their first new music in 12 months, Wigan's finest The Lathums have made their very welcomed return with new single Vice Versa. Pondering vulnerability and seeking self-assurance, the track questions the feelings of not fully belonging in the world as Alex Moore's empowered vocals light up a backdrop of melodic guitar notes and dazzling instrumentation. “‘Vice Versa’ was written from a feeling of not fully belonging in the world we’ve built around ourselves,” explains Moore. “It came from that experience of having everything you need to survive, yet still feeling hungry for meaning, connection, and peace. The song sits between connection and alienation, between needing people deeply and fearing what we carry inside ourselves. Writing it with Ian down in Brighton pushed me into a much more vulnerable place creatively, and what started as a songwriting session very quickly became more like a therapy session. We spoke a lot about identity, dependence, fear and navigating life, and it ended up being probably the most open, honest and raw writing experience I’ve had in my career so far.” Take a listen below with the James Slater directed video.

After a decade performing in Adwaith, Gwenllian Anthony returns as GWEN, sharing her debut solo single Achub Yr Iaith. Translated as Saving the Language, the track's darkened pop tones and pulsating beat mark a bold new chapter for the well-adorned artist. As Gwenllian explains, “‘Achub Yr Iaith’ came from years of hearing people reduce Adwaith’s success to everything except our hard work. There were even conspiracy theories that we were being funded by the Welsh government to spread the language, as if that explained our achievements. It completely disregarded the years we spent writing, touring, and pushing ourselves creatively, reducing our success to the idea that we’d been handed it simply because we sang in Welsh. This song is about reclaiming that narrative. South London musician and producer Henry Coke has today revealed his endearing new single I Want To Feel It In My Heart. Born into a lineage of vicars and church leaders, Henry drifted from the constraints of the church to wrestle with faith and God out in the open, finding reflections of his songs in the works of Sufjan Stevens, Bob Dylan, Young Fathers and Low. Here, we get a powerful glimpse of his capabilities as rousing percussion and soaring vocals drive the track toward its towering climax. Of the single Henry shares: “I Want To Feel It In My Heart' is the envy of the feeling of faith, the desperation to feel free in its grace and simplicity. What is living worth if you don’t have a reason? It’s a call to be shown something in a void of silence. Following on from last month's single Julia Roberts, jo from school returns today with the tender offering, Weight, ahead of her forthcoming debut EP, Grace, Flair & Distance, which will be released on the 7th August via Chess Club Records. Acting as an introspective moment of reflection, the track’s softly plucked guitar melodies and calming vocals reveal another layer of the artist’s dynamic talent. Speaking about ‘Weight’, Jo explains: “This one was unique in that it was hard to keep writing, but [my producer] Rich knew it could be something. We understood that there was a fine line between supporting the songwriting and emphasising the parts that needed a push, and overdressing the song to a point where the rawness is covered up and lost. It was the first time he ‘pushed’ for me to continue with an idea - I’m very grateful he did. Inspired by her favorite Joan Didion essay by the same name, Williamson reveals, “Didion’s essay is about leaving New York after eight years and how ‘it’s distinctly possible to stay too long at the fair.’ In my eighth year of living in LA, I felt it was time to leave. After a decade as a band, four albums, millions of streams and worldwide live shows, the only thing left for Nothing But Thieves was Evolution. Recently announcing their next chapter, the band returned with news of their fifth studio album ‘Stray Dogs’ released on 25th September via RCA/Sony Music. Today sees them unveil their latest single and title track from the record, alongside an animated visualiser created by acclaimed British visual artist Weirdcore. Speaking about the track the band share, "We've spent a long time writing about the negative aspects of pack mentality - tribalism, division. This song is the converse. ‘Stray Dogs’ is about finding your people. The image that stayed with us was of our road family, when there are thirty of us gathered in some far-flung part of the world. Or the moment the doors open and thousands of people come streaming into a festival or one of our shows, becoming one. It's about belonging and shared momentum. I guess the community we have built for the last decade. Once the idea of ‘Stray Dogs’ was fully formed, it made sense to base the rest of the album around it." Take a listen/watch below.
