We take a little bit of serious note once again as we cover the state of the UK industry. We do these one off specials from time to time and this is our updated episode.

These are just our personal views on things, we don’t claim to be right but they are our little gripes with the industry we work in as well as our experience of certain aspects.

In this show we discuss twitter how it can be a good thing for people working in the UK porn industry and a bad thing when used to slander, moan and just have public arguments in front of your fans.

We also discuss models who don’t keep their feet on the ground and believing there own hype which eventually changes them as a person, and cause them to act out publicly on social media and even involving their fans to fight there battles, always a weird one. We also discuss how not my people help each other in the industry anymore, and how some people when they do, are met with being being vary of why they are doing it and what their motvies are, almost as if helping someone means that that person wants something  back in return?

Yes we know its April and our last show was the Christmas Special at the end of 2014 but man have we been busy.  We fill you in on everything we have been doing while we have been away and honestly we have a good excuse. Its been a busy old time here at Dusk Films.

Over the last 4 weeks however we have been interviewing people in the industry for future shows so lots of interesting chats to look forward to. When we can we will do a weekly show but at the very least one every fortnight.

This episode we catch up with Zara DuRose a model we have worked with since  the first chat we recorded a year or so back. This girl has come in leaps and bounds, is one of the busiest models we know because of such a broad list of work levels she can be booked for, both on and off camera. This see’s our last episode of the year until January. We try and take the show down little, strip it down to its bear basics as we chat about all things Christmas. Of course its a Porn Podcast show so there still plenty of smut talk in our own unique way that only the Uk Porn Podcast can bring you, but we chat about Christmas in general. Don’t worry we don’t get all religious on you or try and tell you the meaning of Christmas but we do cover how we spend our Christmas, our fond childhood memories of Christmas and of course some of the best presents we received  and what our best present ever to date is. We also talk about the classic films that at this time of year we like to watch. Where Scarlet watches them to get into the spirit of Christmas, I just watch them because they happen to be good movies first and a Christmas film second. The meaning of Christmas is kind of lost on me, as I just see it as another day. We answer some fan mail and our regular hater is back with a cracking ( hun intended) insult especially for Christmas, this guys insults just keep getting funnier and funnier. Scarlet answers a fan question from a fan and she has her last sex fact of the year. We want to thank all of our team who took part in the show this year and of course to all of the listeners, for tuning in. For you especially we are very grateful for those who listen in each week. We will try our best to stay on path as we go into the new year.

We did an episode a while ago about the state of the UK industry and this is its follow up.

We do however still do it in our dry sense of humour that we have on the show, and just say it like it is, our listeners seem to prefer this approach instead of sounding like a member of parliament. Then again on second thoughts that would never happen as i’m from the North East of England.

Sadly things are worse than the last time we did the last episode and I can’t see it getting any better anytime soon, as everyone seems to be out for themselves and aren’t bothered about how professional they appear as long as they are getting their rocks off.

Not all mind you there are some models and producers I know very well and they have the right attitude to their work, its a shame the rest of the industry doesn’t.

In this episode we talk about slander and shit stirring, who I was a recent victim of that, it didn’t achieve anything and the industry soon put the key warrior right but still, someone had the mind to do it. We also cover more time wasters, always an annoying topic for me at the best times, and content share. It seems its not just people shooting for shooting sake and not putting any money into the industry as a lot of people now work in this industry for free, but some are not even keeping any 2257 records or photo ID on record, because they are shooting with their industry friends. I am amazed at how many models/studs tweet about being professional and yet don’t do things the correct or legal way, theres a fine line between being a producer and being someone shooting an orange tinted film in a hotel room on an IPhone.

Anyway our listeners who aren’t in the industry, this will re-enforce more that this industry isn’t just about fucking, there is a lot of business to deal with too for those of us who do it fucking properly.  For our industry listeners, you will probably sit and nod your head to some of it. Either way we at the Uk Porn Podcast felt it needed to be said.

” ATVOD (Authority for Television on Demand) is a UK based service 
that helps determine what content should and shouldn’t be served to consumers 
in the UK and helps set guidelines surrounding this.

This has a lot of impact for adult transactions as they ruled 
that adult sites must block access to anyone under the age of 18 (more details 
can be read at http://recombu.com/digital/news/international-porn-sites-uk-debit-card-block_M11876.html). 
More specifically, in the UK a debit card can be obtained once you are 16 years 
old, which means that it’s possible someone paying with a debit card is not 18 
years or older and should not have access to that content. It isn’t enough to 
ask for someone to say they are 18 years old and to use a debit/credit card to 
confirm their age.

Luckily CCBill actually released a feature to help deal with 
this called Web Validate (also known as Cards by Country). I’ve included two of 
our blog posts on this so you have some reference material.

What this feature allows you to do is set up specific countries, 
and even more so, specific payment types to require additional authorization.

really customizable to your vision and goals. If you wanted to go as far as 
just to block all UK Debit transactions you could do that too.    

It’s definitely a concern for our UK based clientele and CCBill is doing everything in its power to assist those clients”

Hello and welcome to this weeks brand new episode of our free podcast show.  We are getting into the swing of our current work load which means both me and Scarlet are containing to manage our work load and bring you a weekly show again. We all at some point reach this point in our lives and it usually comes later on when we have had more life experience. This girl is very switched on.  This was alovely chat, in it we discuss the differences between the UK and US industry, both in how its been affected by the recession, the different attitudes to performer health and the testing services with talent testing. The self confessed cider swigging, lady pervert, driven by lust and commuter rage (you’ll find out why in the book) She could be anyone and there in is how she caught my attention on twitter where I fished around curiously to see what it was about this woman that had so many followers and men sending her pictures of their dicks and leaving her dirty messages but dont be weird about it if you do . There is a thin line between fun and disturbing so dont get too weird

Her book is an autobiography of her sexual adventures which offers a rare insight into womens lusts and urges that aren’t much different to blokes. She writes about her sexual experiences from the moment she discovered the joys of wanking. Shes not afraid to admit she was wrong about some of the things she has done but then she is not ashamed of a lot either which is so refreshing because a lot of what she wrote was so true that many of us would understand but not admit aloud.

Blogs are all the rage these days and I could imagine this same woman with her partner on my site. I did ask. She gave her reasons and I respected her answer. If you don’t ask you don’t get but what I did ask for was this podcast and what i got was a very formal chat about her book, blog, porn and a variety of things affecting the adult business right now and it was refreshing to hear from a woman who admits she is also a feminist and shed some light to dispel the steretotype of that word.

Hi and Welcome to this weeks podcast episode. We have been away two weeks but since we have there has been a lot happened and it has made a great show for this week with plenty to talk about. There’s no sections from the team this week but there’s plenty to get through all the same.

Terry Stephens aka One Eyed Jack (UKAP member and producer) was kind enough to record some of the industry things that went on at this years XBIZ EU. He filmed a Q and A with Pete Johnson head of ATVOD who answered peoples questions on his firms dodgy practises. I gotta hand it to the man, he is good at vending off questions and is pretty unshakeable, then again I guess you have to be to stand up against the UK porn industry and there lively hood.

I recommend if you are in the industry, you should keep up to date and watch what this man has to say weather you like it or not, to go watch it go HERE.

Me and Scarlet discuss what this means and some things we don’t believe to be true and should go challenged.

Also on the same day was the sex and censorship rally, you may recall our interview with Jerry Barnett, speaking about this day, the ideas behind it and  the point of doing this in the first place. The rally and the cause was very beneficial for the industry, it shows that we aren’t going to take what the government wants to do, censor the internet. This goes further than porn and the public has to get behind this do as everyone’s freedom online is at stake.

Hi and Welcome to another special podcast this week… On a US testing service and how they regard sexual health and testing. Me and Scarlet take another back seat this week as we feature our main interview.

Anyone who has worked in the US will know that US productions and  performers do not accept tests done in the UK. The obvious reason for this is that our testing standards in the UK are out of date.

At least 10 years out of date.

Terry Stephens aka One Eyed Jack (UKAP member and producer) was charged with meeting now retired porn star/ agent Shy Love to engage with Dr Sixto Pacheco the owner of Talent Testing Services to bring this latest state of the art testing system to the UK.

Despite warnings that the UK business is largely in disarray for a variety of reasons discussed in the recording, the biggest problem was that UKAP announced its breakaway from the testing issue because it was simply powerless to do anything about it without models cooperation and support. The recent HIV scare magnified the problem for UKAP that many performers didn’t want producers “meddling” with this issue so it was felt to protect producers best interests that they include an additional line of text on their releases for performers to agree they have inspected the tests of those they are working with to avoid any  legal repercussions that may arise from later.

An example of this was discussed briefly with about a US producer being sued for non disclosure with a performer who it is alleged, became HIV + as a result of sexual involvement that did not include penetration

Talent Testing Services works extensively with and beyond LATATA.ORG (Licensed Adult Talent Agency Association) The US leads the way in running a professionally licensed business that would lend huge credit to professional UK companies in terms of self regulation, standards and performer confidence in the event of a breakout that a situation will be properly quarantined by Talent testing Services database structure unlike the out of date system in place right now.

Sixto explains the procedures and the benefits of the services Talent Testing provides on an international level with centralised testing facilities and access that does not contravene the data protection laws.

The cost of this service was discussed as well a a step by step procedure of the testing phase. A lot was discussed.

We take a break from our regular show to do another special show. The rest of the team take a break in this episode. Your hosts are Paul Taylor and Scarlet Grey. This time round we take a look at the current state of the UK Adult Industry, and its not a pretty sight at all. Things seem to be going from bad to worse. Some of the areas we touch on is peoples work ethics, professionalism, no shows, fake agencies  dodgy producers and scams. The list is endless. What is the cause of this? why have they gone down hill? When did this start happening and what is the way forward for an industry that once tried very hard to make the general public see that we do take care of our business and we are professional. Is it the recession? Is it torrent and tube sites ?  One thing we leave out this time round is ATVOD as this has already been covered on this site and by many other people too. This show is about our own demise and personal experiences from us as a studio. For our casual listeners, this may proof interesting, as this is about behind the scenes as you can get. For producers, webmasters, photographers and models, you may have come across some similar problems, and be sitting there nodding your head. But where do we go from here? how do we keep moving forward and how to be pull this industry out of the gutter, as there doesn’t seem to be many people left who are doing things by the book, or not cutting corners somewhere.

More serious and slightly ranty at times, I think we both cover  some interesting questions. Have we raise more? Write in and we can discuss this further at some point.

Overseas online adult companies, would be penalized for failing to take adequate measures to ensure their U.K. customers are adults.

Payment processors would receive a blacklist of all companies making pornography available without proper age verification. That verification under U.K. laws requires credit and debit cards or other definitive identifying information.

Processors would be responsible for ensuring that no British customer could make a payment Uk adult site and worse yet any site that doesn’t have age verification will be black listed.

Some companies escape ATVODs noncompliance by moving overseas while continuing to make the same extreme content available to anyone in Britain.

“Banks will deploy lots of arguments as to why they shouldn’t be the gatekeepers for this,” Johnson said. “But following the money and making it difficult for these sites to earn it would be a powerful step towards reducing children’s exposure to hardcore pornography.”

Companies that target UK customers  are still potentially in breach of U.K.’s Obscene Publications Act.

ATVOD investigated  23 adult sites over Rule 11 violations in the past year. Thirteen of them  sites were found to be in violation of Rule 11 and were fined.

There are two websites owned by Playboy, an TV channel and a adult website version. They claimed it  allowed users to access hardcore videos and images without having acceptable controls in place to check that users were aged 18 or over.

Pornographic websites are regulated by ATVOD. Because they provide access to videos in a similar way to adult services broadcast on television – and fall within UK jurisdiction, and any site operated from within the Uk will be on ATVODs radar, who then report back to Ofcom.

It was said because of the current rules enforced by ATVOD, that Playboy’s failure to protect children from potentially accessing these sites was serious, repeated and reckless.

UK rules state that online video providers must put in place safeguards around 18-rated adult material to prevent minors from getting access to it.

But the Strictly Broadband homepage loaded without a warning as to the nature of the site’s content.

ATVOD does not have the power to levy fines for non-compliance, and so it referred Strictly Broadband to Ofcom for further investigation.

Ofcom said that the “gravity and duration” of the breaches, and their potential impact on minors, meant that they were “serious, repeated and reckless” in nature. It therefore imposed the £60,000 fine payable to HM Paymaster General.

Strictly Broadband has now placed a warning on its homepage, suggesting that it is prepared to comply with Ofcom and ATVOD’s rules.

Me and Scarlet were there as always mingling and planning out next block of shoots for the start of 2013. It certainly was nice to meet some of the girls who have only come into the industry this year and of course meet up with people we have already shot too or even recorded an interview with for this show.

Episode 30 has everything a great interview with honesty and laughs. I have known Kai for about a year now and every time we have chatted on the phone or met at an industry party we have always had a laugh. We all know that I have been airing some of my bands music in the podcasts but I have searched the net and there are a lot of singer/songwriters out there who have a go at doing their version of peoples music in the mean stream charts, so the plan is to play music by these people as well as from mean stream artists too, only unreleased tracks that you may not of heard of. We start this show off with a girl called Rachel and she sings her version of a song which I have always loved being a comic book fan ” Superman – it’s not easy”. We also air the final part of our podcast with Jo Juggs, in part two she talks about cock sizes, her children and how she applies herself to her work in terms of making a shoot on time and planning her journey well in advance. I haven’t personally worked with Jo but she sounds very organised indeed. Me and scarlet talk about actually meeting the lovely lady herself at the recent UKAP party and I briefly have my outburst on the ATVOD law that is scaring UK based people in the industry, I am sure this will be mentioned in a lot more detail in future shows.

Well I have to say I was looking forward to chatting to this sexy blonde for a while now, ever since she came on the scene. I am looking forward to working with her even more, she has just got it, I don’t know what it is but this lady has got it. What a lovely down to earth person she is, wicked sense of humour and very easy to talk to, it made this interview a breeze. Anna has done such a lot in such a short space of time, and has been lucky enough to work with some of the most established people in the industry, even as Anna admits not even knowing at the time until she looked into how well known these people were. She seems to know what she wants and how to go about her job very easily which is always a plus from a model points of view. In this interview we discuss her not so long ago early beginings aswell as what she likes doing in her shoots, the people she has worked with and we get to here her talk openly about her life outside of the porn industry which is nice as that’s the idea of the podcasts to find more about the person and the people in it.

PLEASE NOTE : there is a fault with the sound in this recording with a lot of background distortion, if you listen carefully you can hear what is being said, more so from Anna than me, the sound has been cleared up as much as I can so believe me it was a lot worse. It does go off so bear with it, as it was such a good episode it’s a shame it came out like this, but it really is worth sticking with trust me.

Another busy model who works away from home alot, and even in the age where everyone uses a mobile she was still hard to get hold of. When I can’t get hold of a model for a podcast that’s a good thing on her side because it means she is busy working. Isabel did find time to talk to me one evening and we talked about her career so far in the porn industry. She talks about her early days, such as the first time she tried boy-girl on camera aswell as the adult gentlemen’s parties she attends a few times a month in Birmingham. She also mentions that she has recently got married aswell as scenes she has not shot and talks about her sexual fantasies. Here is a Podcast by Terry Stephens for UKAP before I was a member, and this was to be my final words on my career in the industry as this interview was done  just after I announced I was leaving the industry in November 2008. It’s clear I had worked myself to the point of burn out, I didn’t have the love I had or have now regained since coming back.

It really is a very different attitude towards the industry, that people who know me know I was full of ideas and full of energy. Thank god although working just as hard, If I want time out for me I am going to take it. I am just approaching my work in a different way, and while still being 100% invested it no longer rules my life. Being in this industry is a life style, however making time for eating, sleeping and other special people  in you life is also very important.

So here is me speaking about why I left the industry, not fully knowing that I would later miss it, realise I was at the top of my game and good at what I did compared to the other avenues I explored in my time away.

I again want to make this clear this was when I was at my worst, and totally knacked and tired of the industry, and what can I say, 2 years is a great healer.
