Nick Perry started his career in the oil business, then moved to natural gas, then electricity. In the 1990’s he was a Board Director of Enron Europe, and of Teesside Power Ltd. In 1997 he left to set up a firm providing specialised risk management software and consulting for companies trading energy. This venture was floated on the NASDAQ in 2000, after which Nick became an independent commercial energy consultant specialising in portfolio and transaction-structuring, risk management, derivatives and financial products, market dynamics and regulation in competitive energy markets. Clients include producers, generators, utilities, energy merchants, energy users, banks, regulators and governments. We recorded this podcast in 2017, but the themes remain relevant and Nick shares an interesting insight into the developing power and gas sector in Europe.

Ann Pickard, BA.MA, – Was called ‘the bravest woman in oil’– by Fortune Magazine, for her work in Africa.

Ann retired from Shell in 2016 after a 16-year tenure holding numerous positions, including Executive Vice President Artic, Executive Vice President Exploration and Production, Country Chair of Shell in Australia, and Executive Vice President Africa. Previously Ann had an 11-year tenure with Mobil prior to its merger with Exxon. Ann is an NED sitting on the boards of Woodside Petroleum and KBR.
