For some vacationers, work doesn’t always end just because they’re staying in their favorite vacation rental. Get remote work done quickly and efficiently by renting a daily deskspace at Ripple Coworking in Downtown Daytona Beach.

Tiffani L. decided to leave behind the snowy winters of New England for year round sunshine in Central Florida. While waiting for construction on her new home to be finished (and to escape the worst of the Winter), she rented a vacation condo for a month in Daytona Beach.

Like many new residents in the greater Daytona Beach area, Tiffani was able to keep the professional job she had in New England by working remotely. The vacation rental had great internet service and lots of space for her family. But she quickly discovered that, between kids, dogs and her husband, it was impossible to work efficiently.
Challenges While Working Remotely with Dogs
The dogs, in particular, would sleep all day. That is, until it was time to get on an important video chat with coworkers or customers.

“It’s like they knew when it was time for a call, especially the important ones,” says Tiffani. “The dogs could sense when I was nervous about a call and got even more rambunctious.”

According to Tiffani, when she tried to work from the vacation rental she found herself having to spend evenings and weekends making up for distractions during the workday. That was precious time away from her family enjoying all that Daytona Beach has to offer.
Daytona Beach Coworking Space Saves the Day

With a little Internet research, Tiffani found Ripple Coworking in Downtown Daytona Beach.

“Ripple Coworking was a savior,” says Tiffani. “I rented a deskpace in their dedicated coworking room for just $20 a day, which I easily made up with greater work efficiency.”

“Working without any distractions at Ripple Coworking, I was able to get nearly all of my work done in less than a full business day,” says Tiffani. “So when I came home to my family, I was present for them.”

“Tiffani’s story is one we see all the time,” says Stephen Furnari, co-owner of Ripple Cowokring’s location in Downtown Daytona Beach. “Just because you have the ability to work remotely doesn’t necessarily mean that your personal situation makes working from home possible.”

“This is especially true if you are spending time in a vacation rental,” says Furnari. “You’re usually with family, everyone is excited to do fun things, energy is high and that can be counterproductive if you need work while on your trip.”
Don’t Let Your Work Ruin Your Family’s Vacation

“Family members eager to do vacation activities may resent you, especially if you’re working right in front of them for hours on end.”

At a distraction free coworking space like at Ripple Coworking, for an affordable price, you can really focus on your work and quickly get it out of the way. Then your lovely vacation rental can be used for quality time with your family.
