UPDATE: Hey, sorry It's me again. I figured out my chat viewing issue, just posting my results here if anyone cares. I had to go into the settings on my NordVPN app on my PC, then to Threat Protection, and then i unticked the DNS filtering. AI told me it wasn't a big deal to do this, can't argue with that. On mobile (I use Brave browser), open the NordVPN app, go to tThreat Protection, tap turn off, reconnect. Should be good to go. I hope to post more bands here soon, just been working double shifts for a few weeks. Cheers.

Hey everyone, I've been annoyed all week because I can't see the chat boxes, they aren't loading for me and I've figured out that it is my VPN (NordVPN for me). I've tried making website exceptions for my site and for the chat box site, but that doesn't seem to work. I have also switched from TCP to UDP, and vice versa, but no luck. If you are having the same issue, I guess you can try these fixes, and if something works, please let me and everyone else know. Or, maybe I am the only one having this issue. I just wanted to mention this in case other people were seeing this too and thought the chats were dead. You could always exclude your entire browser from the VPN but that would defeat the purpose. Sorry guys

First of all, sorry for the lack of posts lately, work has been crushing my soul. But I wanted to mention this even though it has been heavily publicized. Bo Leuders, founding member of Harms Way and the excellent Hardlore podcast, passed away last week. His death has been attributed to suicide. I am not the world's biggest Harm Way fan, but I know a lot of people are, so I wanted to mention this. If you want more info, just google it, there are a million articles covering it. Be safe out there.

God dammit, I love this fucking band. Out of all the thousands of synthwave artists now out there, GosT (IG / FB) always ends up being my favorite. Super aggressive, super metal, and easily (in my opinion) the hardest darkwave thing out there. Anyway, James Lollar, the founding multi-instrumentalist and producer behind GosT, has died at the age of 46, his management team has confirmed. GosT had been around since 2013 with over a dozen releases. I'm just gonna post a few below that I like, but if you are into this stuff at all (I'm sure a lot of you aren't LOL), check out their Bandcamp. Here is GosT's official statement on this:

I love Daggers. They are another band that has been with this blog since the beginning. Imagine if Motorhead was more hardcore punk and you've got Daggers (this is a good thing). They are from Liège, Belgium and have been playing garage-tinged hardcore punk infused with psychedelic rock n' roll noise since 2008. El Mundo Kaput came out April 1, 2026 with three tracks of raw, frantic energy. Live recorded at Jetson Studio, the band delivers nearly 10 minutes of chaotic, riff-heavy punk aggression. Released on Shield Recordings as limited 7" in orange and black variants, 300 copies total. Artwork by Thierry Tönnes capturing the band's unhinged approach.

Featuring Aaron Turner (Sumac, Isis) on vocals and guitar - this monster is over 63 minutes of beautiful, fearsome catharsis shifting between tension and transcendence. Hatred Surge out of Austin, Texas play brutal powerviolence/grindcore death metal. Rotten To Forgotten came out March 20, 2026 but it aint new. It's got four tracks recorded from 2012 demo sessions. The trio - Hughes on bass, Sharp on drums, and Ulsh on guitar - feature different vocalists on each track: Azeta, Gomes, Nolan, and Walker bringing their own vicious styles. Originally tracked on 4-track in 2012, vocals recorded in 2021. Released by Cosmic Hearse as limited 7" with 32-page zine.

If you didn't know, as far as I'm concerned, Harrowed is one of the few "unofficial" bands of this blog. By that, I mean they have been here from the very beginning and really capture the kind of stuff that I am into. It doesn't hurt that everything they put out is virtually flawless. This "single" Dark Collective just came out with 2 songs and as suspected, I am blown away by how good this band is. They are like the 'Slayer' of blackened hardcore, it's banger after banger with them. Mandatory listen.

My Condolences are a Northern Kentucky two-piece (Jordan on Baritone guitar & vocals with Corey on drums) that play sludgy d-beat hardcore with doomed-out screamo heaviness. Their debut The Pressure Builds dropped August 1, 2020 with eight tracks of crushing desparation and metallic aggression. They tear through nearly 21 minutes of slow, grinding punishment. D-beat rhythms meet sludge metal with a smothering weight and bleak atmosphere. This was released through The Ghost is Clear Records on a 45 rpm 12" lathe cut which is sold out. Live at Healer in Indianapolis 10/07/22, a cassette release, came out August 3, 2023 on Tomb Tree Tapes (also sold out) with five live tracks captured at Healer in Indianapolis. And if you're local, you can check them out on April 18th at DSGN Collective in Cincinnati playing with Lordship for the Sealer record release.
