I have long known about the power of sound baths through my cousin, Ann Bessudo, the founder of TUNE Bienestar. Feeling slightly out of alignment, I recently attended a one-on-one session with David Kennet. This reset was the perfect way to ground myself amid the chaos of 

David, who travels internationally hosting his sound bath experiences, currently lives in Miami, near my residence. When Ann came to visit me from Bogotá, Colombia, we saw a perfect opportunity to combine these two incredible forces in a sound bath collaboration at Kasa Yoga Studios.

And let me tell you… It was next-level.

The Healing Power of Sound

Sound baths are rooted in the idea that vibration is medicine. Much like that purring cat, the frequencies created during a session are designed to bring the body back into harmony, calm the nervous system, and release emotional blockages affecting your chakras. 

I’ve heard — and witnessed — stories that are nothing short of extraordinary. From chronic pain relief to shifts in mental and physical wellness, the impact can be profound. One story I’ve heard involved a client, an oncologist and ironically a cancer patient, who had been diagnosed with an inoperable brain mass. After turning to sound baths as a last resort, the mass reportedly disappeared over time. 

Regardless of your approach, scientific or spiritual, there’s no denying the power of these frequencies. Think of the way your favorite song soothes you, or the sound of waves crashing calms the mind – it is indisputable. 

A Journey Through Sound and Intention

The experience, held on April 4 at Kasa Yoga Studios, was immersive from the very beginning. The space itself is beautiful, calming, intentional, and welcoming, immediately putting you at ease. We were greeted with a house-made herbal tea blend (divine) and explored a variety of natural self-care products, which reflected the studio’s commitment to holistic wellness. 

We began with intention-setting: writing down what we wanted to release or call in. Then, lying on plush mattresses with blankets and feet gently elevated, we were guided inward. 

Anne led with her signature gongs and Tibetan bowls, creating deep, resonant waves that seemed to move through the body. Alongside her, David layered in a rich array of tribal instruments and vocal tones, building a soundscape that felt both grounding and expansive.

Together, they didn’t just play music—they orchestrated an experience. A video of the first hour can be found on YouTube.

A Personal Awakening

I went completely under – in the best way. At one point, I drifted into a state that felt like the most restorative sleep I’ve had in a while. But toward the end, something shifted. I came back feeling recharged, clear, and incredibly present.

During the session, I had a vivid internal experience in which I could see my chakras lighting up, each corresponding to a physical sensation in my body. It felt like everything was aligning in real time, like a reset button for the soul. 

Afterward, there was a sense of ease and flow that stayed with me. A kind of quiet confidence, where things felt possible and manageable again. If you know my work, then you already know where I’m going with this… 

If something feels stuck, whether in your health, your mindset, or yes, even your love life, perhaps it’s not about pushing harder. Perhaps it’s about tuning differently, vibrating at a frequency that will attract the life you want. More on that in my book!

Perfectly timed to toast Women’s History Month, the chic gathering was brought to life by Saint & Citizen’s Paula Grant and Joey Harris, with Edmund’s Honors Bourbon keeping the craft cocktails flowing. The setting? An exquisitely intimate, family-style dinner at Tatiana by Kwame—aka one of the most impossible-to-get reservations in New York City right now.

Guests mingled and networked between bites of totally decadent signature dishes. We’re talking mouth-watering goat curry patties and a Sofrito roasted chicken that probably deserves its own fan club. The room was absolutely buzzing with empowering conversations and vibrant energy.

But the undeniable highlight of the night? The pure, swoon-worthy romance. Boris took the floor to deliver a tribute so sweet it could cause cavities, passionately praising his wife’s dedication to her craft and the beautiful energy she pours into their life. Never one to let a comedic beat slip away, Nicole playfully fired back, “You already got me!”—sending the whole stylish room into fits of laughter.

As the evening wrapped and the iconic pair strutted out into the bustling New York night, they left a serious trail of glamour in their wake. It’s authentic, laugh-out-loud moments exactly like these that keep the magic alive, proving exactly why this Divalicious duo will forever have our hearts!

The trailers already have us booking our summer escapes to Europe and assembling moodboards to manifest our own destination meet-cute. But before you finish making a perfect night out plan complete with a showing of You, Me & Tuscany, here’s what’s making us—and the internet—excited about the film. 

Romance fans have the movie on their radar for putting a Black girl love story back on the big screen. The film follows city girl Anna (Halle Bailey) as she tries to find her place in life when she comes across Italian-born Matteo (Lorenzo de Moor) and follows him back to the Italian countryside. When she’s caught crashing at his villa, she covers her tracks and poses as Matteo’s fiancée—until she falls for his cousin Michael (Regé-Jean Page), and her cover story becomes a little more complicated. 

“You hear that phrase ‘fantasy come to life,’” Bailey told The Hollywood Reporter. “But this was really it.”

Of course, part of the reason social media users are ready to head to the theater is the combined charm of the two leads who couldn’t be more perfect for this fantasy romp. Bailey made a big splash on our screens in The Little Mermaid, with the whimsical energy to match the Disney love story. And is there any question that Regé-Jean Page—who captured hearts as Simon in the breakout season of Bridgerton—has proven his skill as a leading man?  

The film spots in You, Me & Tuscany were the definition of a lavish getaway and soft-life dream. The crew scouted picture-perfect locations in Rome, Pienza, and vibrant family-owned local vineyards. The countryside area is famous for its local wineries—which came in plenty of use as the leads share romance with a side of wine. 

Filming wasn’t the only time the actors went to luxurious locations. To promote the film, Bailey stopped by Spelman College to talk with HBCU students about her role in the film—if the moment could be described in a few words, it’s definitely Black Girl Magic. 

“The theme of this movie is joy,” director Kat Coiro told THR. “If people take anything from it, I want it to be: Italy makes you feel great.”

Only a few weeks later, that time has come. The Golden Globe-nominated star is front and center as Agnes in The Testaments, debuting on Hulu April 8. The show, adapted from the 2019 novel by acclaimed author Margaret Atwood, follows the smash success The Handmaid’s Tale, set in the same universe. 

Older watchers will remember how that adaptation cemented itself in the cultural lexicon; everything from the bright red dresses and white bonnets to the stilted language became instantly recognizable.

The Testaments seems poised to fit into the recognizable, oppressive universe set in Gilead. And just like its predecessor, the show couldn’t feel more timely. A group of young women, training to fit into the mold of an obedient woman at “Wife School,” begin to question, push back, and break the status quo thanks to an unlikely friend and ally. 

It’s a twisted, thrilling coming of age story in a dystopian world—and what girl hasn’t felt like she’s growing up in a time where the odds are stacked against her? In simple words, the 10-episode season promises to resonate. 

Still, we won’t be bogged down with too much doom-and-gloom in this sequel—a contrast to “The Handmaid’s Tale.” 

“But the idea that this is allowed to be devilishly funny in a very, very dark—almost too-close-to-reality—universe pushed me really hard to make it so,” Amy Seimetz, who portrays caretaker Paula, told The Hollywood Reporter. 

Alongside Infiniti, the other actresses in the ranks of the Plums include Rowan Blanchard from A Wrinkle in Time, Mattea Conforti from Power, and Lucy Halliday. 

The Testaments debuts on Hulu on April 8.

The show featured appearances from other artists, including the legendary Lauryn Hill, who performed “All Falls Down.” Dressed in all black, the aesthetic and decor of the stadium were nothing short of breathtaking. One thing remains clear: Kanye has always been a marketing genius and a creative legend.

He performed songs spanning multiple albums, including The Life of Pablo, Vultures 1, Graduation, Watch the Throne, Cruel Summer, Donda, Yeezus, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, and The College Dropout, showcasing his evolution across eras from 2004 to 2026.

Kanye performed on a stage designed to resemble the Earth, with smoke rising dramatically around him. His daughter, North West, also took the stage, capturing the audience’s attention. Travis Scott made an appearance as well, highlighting his long-standing connection to Kanye’s music.

The excitement and love from fans could be felt through every clip shared online. Despite his often controversial journey, Kanye continues to receive unwavering support from his fanbase. He performed many of his classic hits and closed the show with the fan-favorite “Runaway,” walking off stage alongside his wife and children. Streamers and celebrities were also in full attendance.

The question now remains: Will he do it again? Some fans admitted they didn’t even know about the concert, but said they would definitely attend if he returns for another show.

At DivaGalsDaily, we’re drawn to stories that explore contradiction, and this season leans into that. It picks up after the fallout from Season 1, with Coop, played by Jon Hamm, and his neighbors dealing with the consequences of their actions. Instead of slowing down, the story moves further into the choices they keep making, often without much regard for the outcome.

What stands out this season is the balance between tension and humor. Creator Jonathan Tropper allows the show to move between serious moments and more absurd situations, often within the same scene. The tone feels more settled here, with the show more comfortable exploring its darker themes.

Amanda Peet’s performance as Mel adds another layer. Her character begins to shift in noticeable ways, acting on impulses that suggest both restlessness and a search for control. There’s a clear thread of midlife reflection—what it means to question the life you’ve built and what comes next.

And it’s impossible not to note how strong James Marsden is this season. His performance brings a grounded presence to the ensemble, adding both subtle tension and moments of unexpected humor that deepen the overall dynamic. Alongside him, Olivia Munn is outstanding, bringing a sharp, composed energy that adds another layer of intrigue to the story.

The show continues to examine how privilege and wealth shape behavior and enable characters to navigate situations that might otherwise have real consequences. From manipulation to insurance fraud, the decisions feel increasingly difficult to justify, even for the characters themselves.

At the center is still the relationship between Coop and Mel. Their connection remains unresolved, marked by history and complicated emotions that neither seems ready to fully address.

Season 2 doesn’t try to resolve everything. It simply continues to follow these characters as things become more complicated, and that’s what keeps it engaging.

Masquerade

Inspired by The Phantom of the Opera, Masquerade transforms the phenomenon into a walking, immersive theatrical performance that lets us become part of the world of the Opera. Guests are encouraged to come dressed the part, and masks are mandatory as you journey through a labyrinth of rooms, each unfolding a different piece of the Phantom story. Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s most iconic musical numbers are performed, along with some new backstory that makes the Phantom a more sympathetic soul. Then there are the dramatic encounters with Christine, Raoul, and the Phantom himself. In a moment of surprise, I locked eyes with the Phantom as his masked face bore into my soul. The fourth wall is broken as you travel through Phantom lore, complete with light cast interactions, songs delivered intimately and that grand chandelier closer than you could have ever imagined. Diva Tip: Wear smart, comfortable shoes; this is nearly 2 1/2 hours of walking and experiencing.
