And every time it happens to me, I come back to this one question:
I saw this graffiti on a wall somewhere the other day, and it melted my heart…
“Some people pray for success. Others wake up and work like their prayer’s already been answered.”
My friend Sally eats clean, lives clean. But one stray comment about her weight can ruin her entire day.
So I told her something that, I think, applies to a lot of us subconsciously:
What do you think is more important in life? Your speed or your direction?
I came across something the other day that answered that question perfectly:
I think the universe just gave me a sign today in the form of this quote that I’m going to pass onto you:
“If the rain that touches your skin traveled miles to find you,
I saw this on a t-shirt the other day, and it felt so oddly personal.
“When you’re in your own lane, there’s just less traffic.”
Some mornings, you wake up ready to sprint.
Other mornings… even walking can feel like a stretch. I’ve learned that both count.
My friend. Not every climb can be conquered on the first attempt. And that’s okay.
