All three were very excited for their first day of school. Carmen may have been the most excited since she is finally at the Day School with the big kids! Carmen is in Red Door. Edward and Gibson both started out the year in Yellow Door but after the first week Gibson moved to Green Door. They love each having their own rooms!

After a failed attempt to get rid of the paci earlier in the year, it was finally time to say goodbye to the paci once we got back from France. Many family members were here to witness the event. By some of her facial expressions it was clear this was not easy for her. It took a whole bunch of balloons to lift the 3 pacis she had left. Luckily the balloons cleared the roof but then they got stuck in the large tree by our driveway. We assured her the robot on the moon would come and get the pacis and give them to babies who needed them. The End of Pacis. Hooray.

The first Easter Egg Hunt kicked off at school.

Carmen's class: Henri, Griffin, Ramsey, Sebi, Annika, Elliott, Linden, Carmen and Jorge.

The kids' also went to a big Easter celebration at Westminster where

April 12, 2014: The Skloss household is now done with DIAPERS!!

That's right, just before bedtime on the evening of April 11th all of the diapers in the house were bagged up and put outside for the 'diaper truck' to come pick up. Saturday morning started with Carmen's pick of underwear. My Little Pony ones are her favorite. She does, however, wear 'night-time' pull-ups to bed at night.

On Carmen's birthday she got special treatment at her ballet class and had a pizza dinner with her buddies Hudson and Pierce. A firetruck even showed up and let them play inside.

The next weekend was Carmen's Art Party! It was a blast and lots of art was created!

We loved it so much we had to go back! This time we flew. It was the kids' first plane ride and Edward got the grand tour from an extremely nice Southwest pilot.

January and February brought multiple school delays and closures to Austin. These 'Snow Days' were really just light 'Ice Days' if anything. But it was fun!

Westwood Christmas Party. Santa. Hmmmm, still not too sure about this guy.

Carmen wore the same shirt (dress) I wore as a baby. Carmen is wearing it as a shirt at 2 years old, whereas I was wearing it as a dress at 10 months old.

One of a few spots we tried to find the perfect Christmas tree.

The tree was completely decorated by all 3 kids using various ornaments and household craft items.

October: ACL Fest, Lots of Flooding and Lots of Halloween

Ronnie and I saw the Cure at ACL and shortly after it started to pour and we walked home in the rain.

The next day, Sunday, ACL was cancelled but it was the perfect day for playing with worms and in lots of muddy puddles!

There were many dress rehearsals before Halloween.
