<p>Social is where people <em>meet</em> you. Your website is where they <em>book</em> you.</p>



<p>Too often, I see clients prepping for a brand shoot with only Instagram in mind. They want scroll-stopping content, which is great, but your session should serve your website first. That’s the piece of your brand that sticks around the longest.</p>



<p>Before we plan your shoot:</p>



<p>• What offers are you promoting this year?</p>



<p>• What new pages will you need photos for?</p>



<p>• What platforms will you use besides Instagram?</p>



<p>Those answers shape everything from the orientation we shoot in to the background and expressions we capture.</p>



<p>A good brand session doesn’t just look pretty in the feed. It builds the foundation for your entire visual brand.</p>

<p>Let’s talk about laptops on marble tables, coffee cups with perfect latte art, and stacks of pastel books.</p>



<p>These aren’t bad&#8230;but they’re <em>everywhere.</em></p>



<p>The more generic your props, the faster your photos will blend in with everyone else’s.</p>



<p>Instead, ask: What would my dream client recognize as uniquely me?</p>



<p>Bring things with a story. A little stack of family photos. Your handwritten notes. Your signature lipstick.</p>



<p>One of my clients brought a giant vintage frame because she teaches creatives how to think outside the box. It was unexpected, and it worked.</p>



<p>You don’t need props to prove your professionalism. You need visual cues that connect.</p>

<p>It means showing up with intention. Choose outfits that feel aligned with the kind of work you want to do more of, the clients you want to attract, and the confidence you want to carry into your next season.</p>



<p>Ask yourself: <strong>Would this still feel like me if I booked my dream project next week?</strong></p>



<p>This isn’t about being fancier. It’s about being <em>future-aligned.</em></p>

<p>Totally fair. On the surface, a brand shoot and a standard photoshoot can look similar. There’s a camera. There’s a subject. There’s a gallery of edited images at the end. <em>But what happens <strong>before</strong>, <strong>during</strong>, and <strong>after</strong> the shoot?</em> That’s where everything changes.</p>
