What is Warrior Affiliate?

Warrior Affiliate is a new six part training series from six-figure marketer Kevin Fahey. It promises to help new and struggling marketers to finally find some success with WarriorPlus. WarriorPlus is an affiliate marketing network that sells digital products aimed at the MMO niche. The sales page promises that you'll learn how to setup your WarriorPlus account correctly, get approved for more vendors, and drive free traffic using AI. The bonus is that you also get auto approval for six of Kevin's products including Warrior Affiliate itself. This is the main sell of the program because smaller affiliates with no sales record aren't likely to get approved for these under normal circumstances. Also, this is an easy offer to promote as it has a price point of only one dollar.

The Course Modules

Understanding Warrior Plus. This portion takes you through navigating the site and what all the different metrics actually mean.
How to Get Approved. This is the meatiest module that takes you through all the the steps needed to get your account setup properly. It also gives you the list of products you'll be able to promote: Warior Affiliate, 365 Traffic Boosters, The Ultimate Lead Magnet System, Results With Kevin AI, Affiliate Takeover, and The ARM System.
Finding the Right Offers to Promote. This video goes over what a new seller who is building a track record on WarriorPlus should look for in an offer.
The Tools You'll Need. Intoduces the basic tools you'll need to promote products, things like landing pages, autoresponders, and websites.
Your First Promotion. Shows how to structure your promotion around the launch of a product and what to do in the first few days of a promotion.
Getting Traffic Without Paid Ads. Goes over some free traffic methods that you can optimize and automate with AI.

My Experience So Far

When I saw that this product was only a dollar and included autoapproval for Kevin's other offers, I jumped on it right away. That in itself is worth it, as I'll be able to promote all these other programs using free traffic and safelists. Beyond that I didn't really think the training was going to teach me anything I didn't already know about WarriorPlus. Well, I was wrong. Even though I've been using the platform for years, I didn't have my account setup properly or my profile optimized for approvals! This is the meatiest portion of the training and definitely something you should follow through on exactly as shown.

After that I went ahead and grabbed my affiliate links for Kevin's other products, this was an easy process and just involved putting a certain keyword in each affiliate application. This was handled quickly and smoothly. Currently I'm only promoting this product as it has the highest conversion rate out of the bunch and I'm looking to builid more sales on WarriorPlus while also building my email lists. I'm using an optin page from LeadsLeap and an email series from Kevin's JV documents. It was all pretty easy to set up, you just copy and paste to your autoresponder of choice.

Even though I've been using the platform for years, I didn't have my account setup properly or my profile optimized for approvals!

Driving Traffic

Now, this training does promise to show you how to drive free traffic using AI. This was the one part of the training that felt disappointing. Although he did outline some free traffic methods using AI to automate them is part of an addon that is $5 for the first month and $20 a month thereafter. This program gives you access to custom AI and shows you how to use it to automate your marketing. I can't speak on this because I didn't decide to pick it up. The free traffic methods are pretty well known for most marketers but they do work well when applied consistently.

Conclusion and Recommendation

I would recommend this program to anyone who is new to the WarriorPlus platform or who has been struggling to get sales and referrals on the site. This training will show you how to setup your account correctly and give you some products that will convert easily. This product should also convert well with free traffic, safelists, and banner coops. You can also use the methods outlined in the training either with or without AI. Even though this product is only one dollar you also get 50% on many of the backend upgrades and OTOs. Unless you are already making bank on WarriorPlus this is a great product to get your foot in the door and get started in the digital marketing niche.

Both are freemium services with certain limitations but should work fine for small tutorial type videos. You can try out both or take a look at youtube for some tutorials. However, both are pretty straightforward and intuitive.

Your first few videos may not be the best quality, this is normal. You may also find that the audio doesn't sound quite how you want it too. If this is the case you might try getting a better quality mic and putting your audio through audio software to clean it up and reduce background noise. You could also use text to speech AI voices although those tend to not sound as authentic as a real human voice. If you plan on making lots of videos though it could be real time saver.

Video marketing can be excellent way to push traffic to a website or offer. When creating your email offer it is important to think about it from the point of view of the recipient. They don't know you and they don't trust you, you need to give them a reason to give you their email address. Instead most were just rehashed PLR books with vague or superficial content. Your offer should focus on what tangible value you can bring to the table. Downline Builders and Profile Pages. Like viral splash pages downline builders can be shared on Traffic Exchanges. The idea with a downline builder is to increase your referrals by having your referral sign up to multiple websites. The effectiveness of these pages depends on the presentation, many people are wary of joining more and more sites and need a good reason to do so. Once set up it will not only earn you impressions from EzBanex but you'll also earn credits on some other popular banner co-ops. They also have nice downline builder that will help get referrals to some of the best traffic exchanges in the EzHitzs Network. To setup your custom pages click on the "Bonus" tab. To take full advantage of these you may have to join a few extra programs but these are well worth it and don't require any investments. TrafficG is a 1 to 1 free traffic exchange, meaning that for every page you view you earn a view on your offer. They also allow you to convert your credits into banner impressions on their banner co-op network or you can add their code to your site to gain impressions that way. One of the biggest exchanges is bucketsofbanners which offers 1:2 banner coop and also rewards you for bringing in new members. You can also surf for impressions but this generally isn’t worth it, as you must watch full screen ads with a timer to earn a paltry two impressions. What you can do is add the banner code to your various websites and blogs. You can use blogspot to create free blogs and in the top of the sidebar add a few 125x125 banners. This way it isn’t taking up a ton of space and you earn impressions from a few different programs at the same time. Another effective method is to share your own personal system page. This page shows your profile and displays four banner ads, the top spot is reserved for one of your own banners which are displayed without using any credits. One method to gain lots of banner impressions is to share viral splash pages on Traffic Exchanges. The best site for this is PageRankCafe, it allows you to post links daily which can earn hundreds of credits. By viewing ten posts you're allowed to post one link to the top of the queue. From there other users will see it until it falls out of the rotation. You can also use your credits to post referral banners which tend to have a pretty good CTR, which can earn you more credits when the user signs up.

Other Sites to Earn Banner Impressions

ClickVoyager. One of the largest traffic exchanges which doesn't use a timer or traditional security checks. This makes it an easy and fun place to earn credits. It is not a one 1 to 1 traffic exchange but you can take advantage of their Sunday Silver offer which will upgrade you to a Silver Membership for one week. Simply surf 250 pages each Sunday to keep your Silver Membership.

EasyHits4U. This is 1 to 1 traffic exchange that also offers banner advertising, text links, splash page creator, and more. With over 2 million users, it is great place to find new referrals because you aren't just marketing the same offers to the same people over and over. The Advantages and Disadvantages of Traffic Co-ops

Traffic Coops Are Here To Stay

Like a Free Traffic exchange a Traffic Co-op allows you to earn free traffic towards your site or offer. Unlike a Free Traffic Exchange Traffic Co-ops don't receive traffic from just one site but instead from an entire network of sites. This network of sites is created by the users themselves. Each user is given a unique link to share on their own sites or other exchanges. When the link is opened that user earns credits towards the co-op (other restrictions may apply, more on that later). In turn, their site will also be shown in the network.

Advantages of Traffic Co-ops

Expanded reach. By using Traffic Co-ops you can expand the reach of your offers. Instead of showing up on one site repeatedly you can show up on many different sites without having to join all of them individually. This allows you to use one site as your main driver of traffic while not limiting yourself to that audience.
Quicker Traffic. Since the offer will be running on a network of sites, that means the traffic will also be faster. This is useful for testing new offers or building downlines in newly launched programs.
Referral Traffic. Most co-ops will also give you bonus credits for recruiting new members or a percentage of the credits they create. So, by promoting various co-ops you can build traffic credits at multiple sites. Some sites will even let you earn on your downline 5 levels deep.

Disadvantages of Traffic Co-ops

Less Control. With expanded reach comes the downside of less control, with a co-op you can't pick and choose which sites you want to use. Some sites may have less than desirable traffic in terms of conversions. If you are manually earning credits at various sites you likely want to use them where you know they are most effective.
Co-op Restrictions. Co-ops may also have special requirements that lessen how many credits you'll earn. For example, a link may only count if it is viewed for 6 seconds. This simply isn't practical on many Traffic Exchanges and many of your credits won't get counted. You have to be very careful about what the restrictions are and make sure you aren't wasting credits promoting a co-op and not getting anything for it.
Harder to Track. When you use a Traffic Coop it can be hard to decipher where you are getting your traffic from and what traffic is converting. You can try using link trackers and other tools but these can also intefere with affiliate referral systems.

Conclusion

Personally, I do use some Traffic Coops but not all of them. I'm using them mainly to build traffic downlines get more traffic towards my paid offers. Right now, I'm using ClickVoyager to create credits and then using those to promote a new traffic coop from the makers of EzHitz. This one just launched so there is plenty of time to gain referrals and build downlines. You are rewarded for each member in your downline 5 levels deep. Also, included is an adbar system, personal profile page, and downline builder for other programs. There aren't too many restrictions about where you can share your link or how long it must be seen. This is great one to get out there and promote as it just launched last week. I do also use some other Traffic Co-ops, for more about that check the link in the resource box below.

Are Free Traffic Exchanges the Answer?

There is no doubt about it, getting high quality free website traffic is not easy and will only get harder in the future. As the internet consolidates, more traffic will go to fewer sites. Social media, video, and search will dominate. So how can you Free building an audience if you've got zero budget?

Free Traffic Exchanges

One way are sites called "Free Traffic Exchanges" these sites promise you traffic for your sites and affiliate offers as long as you are willing to return the favor. What you'll likely first notice when using these sites is that many of the pages shown have a very old school vibe about them. Imagine getting in time machine and going back to the internet circa 2010 and you'll have pretty good idea of what I mean. However, there is good reason for this as these sites use iFrames to load pages and the pages need to load quickly. Most users are using simple splash pages to direct users to a website, or a squeeze page to collect emails. Collecting emails is important because it can allow you to start building a traffic source that you can tap into without spending more time on it. You can also promote your favorite sites and earn traffic by signing up referrals! Some of my favorite sites let you earn credits from your downline 5 levels deep.

One thing to note is that while most of these sites try to moderate their users and keep out bad actors you still need to be safe. This means having some sort of antivirus plugin enabled in your browser. It also means being aware that some sites promoted are scams or MLM marketing schemes, always do your due diligence before parting with your hard earned money!

ClickVoyager

The main site I use for creating credits is ClickVoyager. At first it may not seem like the best site but there is a strategy. Every Sunday they run a promo that allows you to earn a SilverMembership for a week. If you continue to at least complete the promo each week you’ll rack up thousands of credits. This site also has no timer but only requires each page to load fully before the next click. This makes it a quick and easy to earn credits, you can use these to promote an offer or earn credits towards a coop of your choice (more on that in part 2).

Traffic G

Traffic G is a one to one exhange meaning for each site you visit you’ll get one visit in return. The timer is a bit long at 10 seconds which can be a good thing and a bad thing. It means it will take longer to accrue traffic credits. However, those credits are more vauable because your site will be seen for at least 10 seconds. This gives you a better chance of making conversions and getting opt ins. TrafficG lets you earn credits for all your referrals 5 levels deep, so, the more people you can refer the better!

Submit Ads 4 Free

Submit Ads 4 Free is another great traffic exchange! Be sure to play the "grid click game" daily for a quick 100 credits. This is another 5 level site so be sure to promote it early and often. There are many other great features here that I haven't even gotten to yet. Feel free to explore and play around with all the different features.

Measuring the Quality of Web Traffic - What's the Difference?

Looking for quality traffic? It's complicated...

When purchasing any sort of web traffic or ad package, you'll often hear the claim that the traffic is "High Quality" or "Premium" or "Targetted." Is there really a difference? If so, how can we tell if we are getting the real thing? What do all these terms mean anyway? While it sounds complicated, the quality of traffic really only comes down to few factors. First, we need to understand how and why the end user ended up on our page. The best way to understand this is to think about it as user intent and targetting. Different traffic sources will have different combinations of each.

Types Website Traffic Intent

Web Crawlers and Bots. The intention behind most web crawlers and bots is to search and index new content. Some are also built to give the appearance of real human traffic where none exists. It can be hard decipher real traffic from bots but a sure giveway is that bot traffic will never convert! Some are also designed for even more nefarious reasons.
No Intent. In this scenario, the user has no intention of visiting your site at all. This could happen when a user's browser is redirected, a popup or popunder loads, or a website shows another website in an iFrame. While this type of traffic may seem worthless, that isn't always the case it also dpends on how targetted the traffic is which we'll go into detail on later.
Incentive Seeking. This is what it sounds like, the user is clicking on a site in order to receive some type of reward. It could be reward points, cryptos, free adversting, or just cold hard cash. Typically this type of user can convert as long as the offer aligns with what they are currently after.
Freebie Seeking. This types of user is looking for a free product or service or perhaps a method that allows you to accomplish the same thing as a premium product. Typically this type of user will optin to many email lists to gain access to various lead magnets but it can be hard to convert them into a buyer.
Information Seeking. The majority of internet traffic is information seeking, they are simply looking for an answer to a question or some content on a topic they are interested in. This type of traffic can be hard to monetize depending on the niche and level of traffic.
Comparison Intent. What happens here is that the user has an idea of a type of product or service he wants, then he starts researching the best version to buy. This is very valuable traffic because the user is already far along in the process of buying and only needs a few nudges to make that final purchase.
Buyer Intent. The user has decided what product to buy and is now just looking for the best outlet to get it from. This is basically the best

Personalized Targetting. Sites like youtube, facebook, and adsense all offer personalized ads. This goes beyond website targetting and allows advertisers to target based off of complex algorithms and user data. This creates a much higher conversion rate than untargetted advertising.
Search Targetting. The genius behind search targetting is that it is the only form of targetting that relies on giving the user exactly what they are looking for, exactly when they are looking for it. In practice, crafting an offer like this can be much harder than it sounds and requires a great deal of patience and testing.
List Targetted. This is traffic that is targetted towards a certain list of individuals. It could be a curated email list or acess to someone else's list. The quality of this type of targetting is only as good as the list itself.
Retargetting. Retagetting allows you to show your ad to users more than once. You simply install a tracking pixel on your offer, the people who see your ad will then have this tracker on their computer. you can then use that to retarget them with other ads on different platforms. This is good practice as most users don't convert after only one interaction with an offer.

Conclusion

Before you spend your hard earned money on any traffic or ad package it is vital to understand where the traffic is coming from. "Premium Traffic" is a subjective term that doesn't mean anything, it could be bot traffic! If possible look at the network of sites they are using for traffic and how the user is being advertised to. That way you can get not only an idea of the nature of the targetting but also what the typical intent is behind a click or view. Even if the traffic is not very targetted you can still design an offer that will appeal to the typical audience on the network. Another idea is to buy a small package and test out the traffic with a link tracker, this can show you where the traffic is originating, how long they stay on the page and even the IP Address. Even if all that checks out, low intent traffic is not likely to convert into a sale of a paid product. The best tactic for low intent traffic is to offer them something of value to join your mailing list. From there you can build trust and rapport so they will feel confident in purchasing products you recommend. You can get started with email marketing, autoresponders, and landing pages for free. Upgrade only when you have built a large list of buyers. Once you have curated your own list of leads you can market to that list on a regular basis with great results. If treated with care an email list can be your most valuable asset and a traffic source for years to come.

When thinking about traffic it is important to realize that their are two types of traffic methods: long term traffic methods and short term traffic methods. If you need to make sales now, then a long term method isn’t something that will help you much. Short term methods require some funding on your part and some tweaking to make profitable.

Short Term Traffic Methods

Google Shopping Ads. Google has an ad format specifically designed for ecommerce and product searches. This process doesn’t depend on bidding on keywords but on setting up store descriptions, sitelinks, and product feeds. You can also choose between a targeted approach or set up traffic across google’s wide range of ad inventory. Shopify has created an in depth guide to setting up these types of ads.

Facebook Ads. Facebook Ads are much more complex but can be extremely targeted and effective. They are based on the idea of audiences, you can target a specific audience or you ca create a lookalike audience. For example, if you have an email list of previous customers you could upload this and create a lookalike audience from it. Facebook would match up your customers with similar Facebook users who you could then target with ads. You could also retarget users who visited your site but didn’t purchase anything.. These type of Ads become more successful as your website gains traffic and your target audience becomes clearer. Shopify has again created a step-by-step guide.

Ad Buys. In this method you simply buy ad space on related websites. You can purchase banner impressions, widgets, or even advertorials. There are many sites that offer this including: blogvertise.com, BuySellAds and similar sites

Long Term Traffic Methods

Video Creation. Youtube is one of the largest traffic sources and can no longer be ignored when it comes to a long term traffic strategy. Making compelling video though is time consuming and editing can be quite tedious. Off loading some of these tasks may be the ideal way to go. You can also use online video editing software like clipchamp or capcut to quickly create videos on the go.

Social Media. Growing a social media account as a business can be quite hard and will probably require some paid advertising or the use of bots. Another strategy is to use a hybrid account where you mix personal opinion, politics, and business. Of course, you would need to be cognizant of controversial topics and stay away from heated debates.

Blogging and Content Syndication. Creating content on your Shopify site is well and good but won’t do much in the way of garnering traffic especially if you are just starting out. A good strategy is to syndicate that content to web 2.0 type sites with a link back to the original. Some good sites to post to are: medium, reddit, tumblr, publish0x, linkedin, and quora.

Email Marketing. As people purchase from your store it is crucial to get them on an email list of some sort. This creates more value from each customer by ensuring that at least some customers return and make multiple purchases. Weekly or monthly newsletters can be great way to keep buyers informed on what is happening with your store.

Conclusion

To increase traffic and sales a mix short term and long term methods is required. How much of each will depend on your individual budget and amount of time available. Nothing happens online without traffic and competition for that traffic is fierce. Good content by itself may not bring in sales and throwing money at paid campaigns doesn’t guarantee success. One of the advantages of Mailchimp is that it gives you a lot of control over the look and feel of your newsletter with templates and custom coding. All of this can take a little getting used to, especially if your new to email marketing. Mailchimp has a free plan for lists smaller than 2,000 subscribers. While there are many services out there that can manage RSS to email newsletters these are the three that I would recommend to someone who was previously using FeedBurner. If you don't have a list yet I would try one of the freemium services, even though you won't have all the features you'll still have plenty of ways to grow your list. If you have a large list I'd recommend an all in one service like FeedBlitz. It is important to note that while FeedBurner is dropping some services it hasn't gone out of existence. It is still serving RSS feeds and syndicating content, there is no need to delete any of your feeds from FeedBurner or close your account.

What does above the fold mean? And why does it matter?

What does "above the fold" mean?

To understand the term "above the fold," we first have to take a look at where this phrase originated. It actually started with newspaper industry. Anyone who has ever picked up a traditional newspaper will know that they fold in the middle. The most important stories and color photos would be on the top half of the front page. That way they would be seen as people passed by the newspaper stand. The idea was to put something important or interesting on the front page to get people to pick up a copy.

The term "above the fold" means something similar for SEO. When you load any site there is a part of the site that is visible and then there are parts that the user must scroll down or navigate to see. The part the user sees on loading is called "above the fold" and is considered one of the most crucial parts of any site.

When the internet began finding out which part of a site would be considered above the fold was relatively easy. During that time all internet browsing was done on PCs and laptops and there were only a handful of web browsers. Now though the question is not as clear cut, there are many variations of screen sizes for tablets, mobiles, laptops, and PCs. Added to that are the many different variations of web browsers and the fact that they are much customizable than in the past. It is still important though to test our sites and try to optimize what is above the fold.

Why is "above the fold" important for SEO?

Increasingly SEO is becoming more and more about the end user. Things like Time Onsite, Bounce Rate, and Returning Visitors are easier than ever for Google to track and use as ranking factors. So, how are each of these affected by "above the fold" content?

Time Onsite. This metric is used to estimate the time a visitor spends on your site although there is a flaw in how it is calculated. It is still an important metric and is affected greatly by the design of above the fold content. If your above the fold content does show the user what they are looking for they may leave without interacting with your site. Or they may spend very little time on your site before giving up and heading back to search.
Bounce Rate. Related to Time Onsite is what is called the bounce rate, users who only see one page of a site and don't navigate further are said to Bounce and are counted as a zero for Time Onsite. A high bounce rate means that most people only view one page of your site. This could simply mean that a user found the information they needed and left. A bounce rate over 75% could be a sign that the site isn't well designed or the content isn't connecting with the audience.
Returning Visitors. Google can also tell when a user that clicked on your site returns either through search or direct traffic (by typing the website in the address bar). If a user returns this is obviously a sign that they enjoyed the content on your site. Even if the previous session was counted as a bounce, a return visit is a sign that your site is engaging to users. You can increase returning users by building an email list, using push notifications, or using social channels. These types of actions should be emphasized above the fold to engage the maximum number of users.

How does "above the fold" design affect advertising?

Studies have shown that advertisements that appear "above the fold" get more views than those at the bottom of a page or embedded in the middle of post. If your site is monetized using something like Adsense you want to have some sort of advertising above the fold to maximize your revenue. However, you want use caution because large ads that distract from the actual content could turn off users and increase your bounce rate. Users tend to prefer non-intrusive ads without large graphics and animations. If you're supporting your site through affiliate commissions you may find that you can increase engagement on your site by removing visual banners and opting for contextual affiliate links (placing affiliate links within blog posts). It is important to balance advertising with user engagement and retention.

How to test your site?

Your site will likely not look exactly the same on all devices, most responsive designs work by moving certain elements around depending on the screen size. For that reason it can be a bit of a compromise when designing a site for all devices. Many responsive blogs will move sidebar content to the bottom of the page to feature the blog posts. Email subscription forms, ads, and social media channels that may be prominent on desktop can get lost below the fold on mobile devices. Incorporating, these elements in other parts of you blog and eliminating sidebars can be a good move for many blogs and help streamline design on mobile and tablets.

What makes great "above the fold" design?

Makes use of visuals. Visuals can be used to gain the attention of the user and make clear what the page is about. When using images it is important that they show up correctly in each device. The last thing you want is a stretched or squished image being the first thing a user sees.
Clear calls to action. Every page has a purpose. Whether it is a sales page, email subscription form, or a simple blog post. Your design should have clear calls to action above the fold that align with the purpose of the page.
Social Media. Options to subscribe or share via social media are also good to include above the fold to increase the potential for likes and shares.
Branding. Your logos and branding should make leave a clear impression of the name and of your blog and what you do. This will help users remember your site and perhaps return in the future.

Some people argue that above the fold design doesn't matter any longer because we have entered an era of mindless scrolling. While it isn't necessary to make sure every element of a page is above the fold it is still an incredibly important part of your site. Like newspapers from years ago the goal is to get and keep the attention of the user.

Ever since I came across Darren Rowse's blog Problogger.net I've always enjoyed reading it. That's why when I heard he had a book on blogging I was intrigued to see what just all that would be included. After finding a paperback copy on amazon I decided to give it a try.

What This Book Isn't

Before picking up this book it's important to have an understanding of what this book is not about. This book isn't about SEO. Other than some basic on page stuff SEO isn't mentioned much at all. It certainly isn't about building backilinks, diversified anchor text, blog networks or any of the latest trends. The book doesn't cover PPC, paid traffic or anything like that either. There are no secret methods of getting traffic or ranking in Google. So if that's what you're looking for then you have to look elsewhere.

What This Book Is

Some may read that first heading at decide that there is nothing of value in this book. That it is for "noobs" or that it is a "white hat" marketing book. Those people would be wrong. This book is an excellent guide to help you create a successful blog. Because it focuses on one thing that is how to create a blog that users will love and share with others. Without that all the linkbuilding and SEO will be of no use anyway.

It explains in great detail how to choose a niche (and what exactly a niche is in the first place). How to set up your blog, the structure your site should have for SEO. How to come up with a posting schedule that will work for you and your audience. Ways to start building a list around your blog, networking with other bloggers and engaging your audience.

While you may have heard much of the advice in this book online and from other sources chances are that you aren't following the advice. This book is great motivational tool to read as the importance of these principles is explained and it will motivate you to get back to what you need to be doing to successful. I like how it also shows simple ways that you can schedule all of the little tasks that go along with writing and promoting a blog. Once you have a schedule and system in place it's just a matter of following through. I would recommend this book to any blogger who feels they want improve the quality and readership of their blog. In simple terms content leveraging means using your content to maximize the traffic and backlinks flowing back to your website or blog. I first heard about this idea through an interesting webinar hosted by Rich Schefren and Pete Williams. The main idea from the webcast was that your target audience is now scattered on the web. Some of your audience may prefer videos, others PDFs, still others may enjoyed audio podcast. Of course trying to create original content for each one would be nearly impossible for someone to consistently produce. With a streamlined system though one could easily take one unique piece of content and re-purpose it as videos, PDFs, podcast, PowerPoints and more. Now in the their system most of the work was done by outsourcing and using expensive video editing tools and other software. In this article I can show you exactly how you can do much of this work with completely free tools.

Start With A Mind Map

Remember those brainstorming activities from High School with the little bubbles that you fill in? Turns out those are really useful for planning out blog posts, articles and PDFs. MindMaps have now gone digital and can be shared on the web making them even more useful. If you start with a MindMap you will have the foundation to easily re-purpose your content. The software I recommend for this is called FreeMind it is a free Java based program that can create fold-able MindMaps that can be exported as HTML, JavaScript and JPEG images. Each Map will start with a root node, this is where you put your main idea or theme that you're working on. From there you can add child nodes which would act as the subtopics for your project. You can add as many nodes as you like and can even add graphics to show how the different points interact. Here is a small video showing how to use MindMaps:

Create A PowerPoint Presentation And PDF

As you can see in the video above, a finished MindMap is very similar to an outline. This makes it very easy to transfer a MindMap over to a PowerPoint presentation. I recommend using Open Office by Oracle it's open source, free, and can export files to many different file types including PDF and PPT. Open up the main application and choose Open Office Impress. Using your MindMap from earlier take each main node and turn it into a slide, each sub-node can be a bullet point in the presentation. When completed click File>Save As, in the dialog box choose MicroSoft Office PPT as the file type and click Save. You have also just created a PDF which you can share on document sharing websites. Go back to File>Export As PDF, you will be presented with some options most of which you can leave as the default. If you don't want others to be able to copy the PDF, then click the Security tab and set a permission password.

Making A Simple Video Presentation

One of the best ways to share content on the web is through simple videos. Contrary to popular belief a video doesn't need to be flashy or professional to get views on YouTube. It just needs to answer the problem the user is searching for online. This is where your PPT is going to be used again. All you need to do is record yourself talking about your PowerPoint presentation. This can easily be accomplished using free screen recording software like Hypercam 2 or CamStudio. Simply open up your PowerPoint and begin recording (you'll need a mic for your PC). If you know your subject well then it should not be too hard to explain the points from your presentation to your audience.

Your Final Blog Post

Now you have a MindMap, PowerPoint, PDF and a video. Using these as the basis it should be easy to write a blog post. After all you have an outline and you can use the audio from your video to fill in the gaps. You can also export the MindMap as a JPEG and feature it in your blog post. Or you can embed the video in the post with the article underneath for those who prefer video.

Maximizing Your Exposure On The Web

With all this content comes the power to build links and exposure for your main site or money page. Make sure you do the following to get more traffic out of this technique:

Share Your MindMap As Picture On Social Networks. Nothing is shared more on social media than informative graphics and pictures so make sure to share your's whenever possible.
Share Your PowerPoint On Presentation Sites. Sites like www.slideshare.com allow you to share your PowerPoint presentations online so take advantage of them. Make sure your slides also reference your website.
Share Your PDF On Document Sites. Document sites like www.scribd.com are growing popularity upload your PDFs so other can download and read them.
Upload Your Videos With A Link. Videos are a great way to build links, in the description place the your link to your main and or squeeze page. Upload your video to more than one site using www.oneload.com.

Affiliate Marketing - How Negative Thinking Creates Failure

Surfing the web you come across a great new method for promoting an affiliate offer. You follow them step-by-step but in the end see very little results for all your hard work. Sound familiar? If you're like most new affiliate marketers (myself included) the problem could be that negativity is interfering with your work and throwing off all the results.

How Negativity Affects Your Work

The problem with negative thinking is that it will eventually infiltrate everything that you do online. Many times it arises at the very beginning of the process as you are deciding on a method or tactic for promoting an advertiser. You may have done plenty of research on the method and seen others using it with good success. You want to try it yet there is still a voice in the back of your head saying "Maybe this won't work for me" or "I've never really been good at that type of promotion". As soon as these thoughts take over you will most likely fail even if you take action. Why? Because those actions will not be taken with confidence. Each action taken will be half-hearted because people don't put 100% into something that they don't really think will work. Invariably you will start thinking "I'll make it perfect once it starts showing that it will earn me some money". That's the wrong way to think about things, in affiliate marketing one detail being off or not looking professional can obliterate your chance of making sales.

How To Correct Your Thinking

The way to change your thinking and your results is to build confidence in your plan. First only focus on plans that apply to your level of expertise. If a plan relies on email marketing for example and you don't have list or have a very small one, you will have zero chance of success. Also, try to look for something that you know is already working in your niche. Search for the most popular sites in your niche try to discover what strategies they are using to promote offers.If it's working for them then it should similarly work for you as well. You also need to have a realistic view of the method you have chosen. SEO for example is a long term strategy that builds on itself over time. PPC on the other hand should start bringing more immediate results (when executed properly). In almost every plan there will be some unexpected obstacle that pops up. It may be a software glitch, a PPC ad that gets rejected, SEO links that don't seem to be building traffic. Try to learn to expect there to be obstacles to your success and push through them.

Once you've found a method or tactic you want to use you need to schedule it into your routine. Many people use online calendars but I prefer another method. Using MindMaps I assign each type of task to a different day of the week. Under the types I put a node for each specific thing that needs to be done. If a task is large then you can break it into smaller nodes. For example if the task is writing an eBook to give away to build your list then you can break it up by chapters and go from there. The software I use for this is called FreeMind it is open sourced, java based and absolutely free.

Another common problem is that during the promotion a step will inevitably come up that either requires sophisticated software or technical know how. Trying to learn everything yourself can eat up your time and leave you with a sub-par results. Buying software tools for every job can get rather expensive and you still must take the time to learn all the ins and outs of each. Sometimes the easiest thing to do is hire someone else who has already learned how to do what you need done quickly and pay them to do it. Fiverr.com is great place to find people to do design work, landing pages, photos and videos.

Whatever you do don't get a stuck in a cycle of negative thinking and poorly executed affiliate campaigns. Break free with a well researched plan that you're confident in, expect there to obstacles and push through them until the plan is completed.

Squidoo.com Takes Another Hit: This Time It's eBay

There have been a lot of changes recently over at Squidoo.com first they changed all out going links to nofollow. It seemed that they had taken a pretty big hit from Google for too much spammy content. I however remained positive knowing that Squidoo's main value is in promoting their affiliates Amazon, eBay and Adsense. Out of these by far eBay is the most valuable as it is very difficult to get a site approved for the eBay Partner Network. Squidoo though has taken another hit this time from eBay. I recieved this news in my email today:

In the coming months eBay will be releasing revamped pricing that will favor new and infrequent buyers in their payouts. This means that if someone who is a regular eBay buyer visits your lens and makes a purchase via an eBay module, the royalty percentage will be lower. However if a new or infrequent buyer completes a sale, your royalty should be higher. This may or may not affect your overall royalties. It just depends on who your customers are. eBay will be sharing new information about this change with us.

May or may not affect royalties? My guess is it will mean lower royalties otherwise there would be no reason for eBay to implement it. Also, they added this bewildering comment:

More immediately, however - starting May 1st - eBay will be reducing payments to Squidoo and their lensmasters by up to 40%. This is a temporary move and will affect all lensmasters who drive traffic to eBay.

Ummm, why? That's a pretty steep cut with no real explanation given. I like Squidoo making lenses is easy and a good way to increase your online presence. However, lately they seem like they are fighting an uphill battle that they'll ultimately lose. Now may be the time to save any of your lenses to your hard drive for further reference down the road.

At the end of RSS url append the following: ?tag=your_amazon_id-20 this will place your tracking code in each item in the feed. Note that not all categories will have all the options above smaller categories may just have "Best Sellers" and not the other options.
Get Amazon feeds using RSS tools. The second way is to use premium Amazon feed generators. The advantage here is that you can have the update more often and be more specific in what shows up on your Twitter profile. The most popular option in this regard is www.rssground.com. These are about the only two easy options you have for getting and using Amazon's RSS feeds. Amazon at one time to employed a tagging system which could also be used to create RSS feeds but this has since been discontinued. However, if you don't like Amazon's built in RSS system you can also schedule tweets using Tweet Adder automated tweets or you can also try hootsuite.com. With your new success on Twitter you could also start promoting your own blog, Amazon Store or email list.

Off-page SEO is a set of techniques that drives traffic to your site and increases your Page Rank (PR). The purpose of off-page SEO is to complement your on-page SEO efforts with Google Juice. Links, likes, shares, pins, wins, leans, twins, blings and whatever else is out there all play a role to your off-page SEO efforts. Below you will find techniques that can help get your off-page SEO started, refine your current efforts, or just give you some ideas. I will rate these techniques using something I just came up with: the GJS (Google Juice Scale). The Google Juice Scale ranks these off-page SEO techniques from 1 to 10 (1=OK 10=Super).

Blogging (GJS = 10)

Blogging is the best way to create brand awareness and to bring visitors to your site. Not all blogs are created equal and you may have to spend a bit of time to make sure that your content is of quality. Quality brings readers back. "Write it and they will read!" Having a blog is great because you can get your ideas "out there" and the same time, make a name for your brand! A blog's best friend, besides readers, is Social Media.

Social Networking (GJS = 10)

Some of the most popular are Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, MySpace (just kidding), you may also look for non-well known, like CafeMom (which receives ~1M visitors/month). There is a flavor for everyone and there is a target for every brand. Any page that has some kind of networking abilities is a page that can increase your brand awareness and potentially increase your PR.

Blog and Forum Marketing (GJS=8)

Reading other blogs of interest and participating in forums is a great practice. Find something aligned with your industry and start reading and commenting. Bloggers find it encouraging when there are other experts in the industry dropping a note on their posts. So how is it that you can benefit from this? On every blog and forum where you can register, you get a profile. In most cases, this profile will have a place to add a website. In forums, you can add a website and other branding to your forum signature. Potentially, every answer and every comment can turn into a link!

Directory Submission (GJS=4)

Online directories have existed since the availability of the Internet. They are a little passe (as my wife would say), however, I find they still have real value. To maximize your exposure and the effectiveness of your listing, try a niche directory related to your industry.

Photo Sharing (GJS=6)

Photo sharing can be a fun way to create brand awareness. If you are in design or another visually demanding industry, you know what I mean. Flickr, Picasa, Photo Bucket, Pitch-a-Pic, Snap-a-Shot, etc. are great sites to share your pictures and get links going. Do not check the last two; I made those up.

Article Submission (GJS=3)

As mentioned earlier, blogging is one of the best ways to generate off page SEO, but it takes time to generate a following. Suppose you need to get some traction right away. How To Use Squidoo.com To Drive Traffic After The Nofollow Update

So as I wrote about in an earlier post Squidoo.com is changing all their links from dofollow to nofollow. While I think this is a bad move on Squidoo's part as it punishes affiliate marketers who may have spent valuable time and money building up links to their Web 2.0 property only to now see that the links won't pass thru to their money site. I also believe that Squidoo will still be great way to drive traffic to your website or blog and even make some extra money while you're at it. With the nofollow update now the rules have changed and if you want to get results from Squidoo you'll need to play along.

Give Squidoo what it wants. Look Squidoo doesn't hate affiliate marketers as long as their getting a piece of the action. So be sure to add some relevant eBay or Amazon modules to every lens you create. The more sales your lens creates the higher it's search ranking within Squidoo which can get you a decent amount of traffic.
Make your lens an overview of a given topic. Instead of making cookie cutter sales page type lenses for different products make overview lenses where you curate the best content on the web (and throw in some links to your own pages while your at it). Make sure you keep it up to date so it's always a valid resource for your readers.
Hang out in the Squidoo Forums. No it's not a waste of time. You can post links to your new lenses and ask people to review them. This is a sure fire way to get more SquidLikes and traffic to your page.
Use the Squidoo search feature. A search term may have tons of competition on Google but very little on Squidoo itself. Remember some lensmasters come to Squidoo first to search for information as a way to support the community. You can get traffic for your page without ever ranking high in Google.
Make sure you interlink all of your related lenses. Remember that the nofollow update applies only to outgoing links that means you can still boost your own lenses by using the related lenses module or by direct links within the lens.

Social Rank Jet Suite was one of the first and last WSO offers that I will ever purchase. Honestly if this product represents the standards of the Warrior Forum then I'm not impressed at all. Actually I bought this a few months ago and quickly found out that it's complete garbage. It was only $9.99 though so I figured live and learn, right? Now though I opened my email today to find this failure of programming being featured as a daily pick over at JVZoo.com. Well, I don't want any other people wasting money on this product so I thought I'd let you in on the real deal about Social Rank Jet Suite.

SRJS promises to build Google love by getting you links on hundreds of Social Bookmarking Sites. The reality is you can submit to exactly 100 sites that are very low quality and to get more you have to upgrade.
SRJS promises an easy submission process. The reality is that you'll have to fork over more money for De-captcha account to submit your links. Plus you need to sign up for paid proxies so your IP address doesn't get banned. These spammy links are getting expensive.
SRJS promises that you can easily defeat Google's Penguin update by using Penguinizer XP software that is included. The only problem is the software locks up before it produces the needed spintax.

For these reasons this software has been just sitting on my computer wasting hard drive space. If you really need social bookmarking links I suggest the cheaper and more effective Social Monkee. Remember never point any automated social bookmarking link at your main site make sure you buffer it through an existing web 2.0 property. Otherwise you could run into a Google penalty down the road.
