Matthew, Mark, Luke & John: A Synchronized Study

Of all the supernatural reports concerning Jesus the Messiah, the most impressive would have to be his resurrection from the grave after being killed in the most public and brutal way ever recorded in history. God's promise to the human race for deliverance from all guilt and death was made good at the cross and then made evident at Jesus' resurrection. To those who knew Jesus personally, the significance of that incredible event spawned the desire to compile a thorough report of everything Jesus had said and done leading up to that point in history. While many reports were released in the first century, we have preserved for us today the very best in existence. The first 4 books of the New Testament are 4 individual accounts provided by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and they are collectively known as "The Gospels" (aka) "The Good News." Each report was carefully put together by the individual and then published around 60 AD with subtle yet notable differences and perspectives unique to the observer. The following MP3 study sessions are a synchronized study of the reports provided by all 4 of these men.

Session 02	We explore why Jesus had to be born of a virgin and then we cover the Christmas Story. We start off with the first angelic encounter by Zachariah, Mary and Joseph and go all the way to Jesus' birth in Bethlehem, announced by an army of angels to nearby shepherds.	1:18 - 1:25		1:5 - 2:21
Session 03	Magi suddenly appear into Israel and shake up the whole kingdom, including King Herod. We examine the significance of the gifts they gave to Jesus and then we fast-forward to Jesus at age 12, covering his 1st confrontation with religious leaders.	2:1 - 2:23		2:22 - 2:52
Session 04	Jesus & John are now 30 years old. We begin with John's bold and controversial ministry (the destiny of wheat and chaff) and Jesus' illogical request to be baptized (and why). Session 05	We examine a theory concerning what it was like for Jesus when He came into what Bible scholars call, His Full Knowledge. We also get into Jesus' first miracle: the turning of water into wine, then we cover the conversation with Nicodemus which led to the famous John 3:16.				1:35 - 3:21
Session 06	After revealing the way to escape God's judgment, Jesus revealed that there are those who've been judged already due to a form of unbelief that's continually self-fed through the love of darkness over the light. Session 07	While Jesus was visiting his hometown, he made a statement that turned his listeners into an angry mob who seized him to throw him over a cliff, head-first down. Session 08	When Jesus made his way into Galilee, he was repeatedly confronted by demon-possessed individuals. When a land becomes filled with the worship of false gods, demonic possession soon overtakes it. Session 09	Jesus heals a lame man on the Sabbath day and proclaims equality with God in creation, power, authority and judgement. He introduces a new concept of Passover to the Pharisees and speaks of the dead (in 2 different ways) becoming alive after they hear his voice.				5:1 - 5:47
Session 10	This one's a short and sweet little study. Nothing special except for the great massive throng of people that show up at the end to get healed. Plus it's a lot of fun watching Jesus purposefully spring a Sabbath Trap that the Pharisees tried to lay out for him.	12:1 - 12:21	2:23 - 3:19	6:1 - 6:16
Session 11	This is Luke's record of the Sermon On The Mount. It's much shorter than what Matthew recorded. We will examine what Luke chose to single out, a list of blessings and woes and a difference between the Kingdom Of God and the Kingdom Of Heaven.			6:17 - 6:49
Session 12	Throughout Matthew's book, the Kingdom Of Heaven is tied directly to the future rule of Jesus over the Earth. Knowing this helps us understand what Jesus meant when he said, The Meek Shall Inherit The Earth. Who are the meek and what is the inheritance?	5:1 - 5:48
Session 13	In Matthew 6, Jesus gave instructions on how to pray and specifically HOW NOT to pray. He stressed the importance of keeping it private between you and God and the importance of keeping it real without fake platitudes or repetitive phrases.	6:1 - 6:21
Session 14	Jesus touched upon several key doctrines that have become infamously quoted out of context on many occasion, JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED being among them. We'll explain all of these in context of Jesus' sermon, distinguishing fact from cliche'.	6:19 - 7:29
Session 15	One of the most widely misunderstood quotes from Jesus is found in Matthew 8 where he speaks of casting children of the kingdom into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. What does that mean? He's not talking about Hell.	8:5 - 8:13 / 11:2 - 11:30		7:1 - 7:35
Session 16	An Abraham Lincoln quote from his HOUSE DIVIDED Speech was actually quoted first by Jesus in Matthew 12. Session 17	What is the unforgivable sin? It's given cute little labels such as Blaspheme Against The Holy Spirit but what does that mean? Session 19	The Kingdom Parables (Matthew 13) are a prophetic timeline of all church history from the 1st century to the Present. This is an amazing and incredible study. If Jesus had given his Kingdom Parables in any other order, this prophetic property wouldn't apply.	13:24 - 13:53	4:30 - 4:34
Session 20	6000 demons conjured up a violent storm and sent it to Jesus' location once they became aware that he was headed in their direction. Session 21	Jesus required that his disciples follow his directions and remain focused on HIM and HIS abilities, rather than being focused on their circumstances or limitations. Session 22	Jesus said all who come to Him, will be saved. This is a voluntary act of faith on our part. God saves us after we choose him, and not before. But Paul's letters say we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. So who chose who first?				6:22 - 6:71
Session 23	When men take their man-made religious traditions and call them commandments of God, they're treading on dangerous ground. The more we compare God's Word with our understanding of church and religion, we discover a massive contradiction.	15:1 - 15:28	7:1 - 7:30
Session 24	The word Church is used in our English Bibles to define the Greek word, Ecclesia which means Assembly or Congregation. In context of every place the word Ecclesia appears, it has nothing to do with Sunday mornings or worship services.	15:29 - 16:20	7:31 - 8:30	9:18 - 9:21

Session 26	Jesus said that whoever saves his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will save it. Session 27	Jesus took Peter, James and John to a high spot on a mountain where the super-physics of eternity temporarily intersected. Session 28	Jesus said the faith of a mustard seed could enable us to move mountains and nothing would be impossible for us. Session 29	Jesus overheard an embarrassing debate between his disciples about who among them would be greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. Session 30	Forgiveness is a challenge for most today because we've been falsely taught that reconciliation must always follow. Jesus taught in Matthew 18 that this simply isn't true. Forgiveness and reconciliation are separate things, they are not the same.	18:15 - 18:17
Session 31	Satan has hidden the truth about what forgiveness really is. It's not about the other person, it's not even about the transgression. It's about healing from the hurt a transgression has caused by transferring the debt to another account, THE CROSS.	18:18 - 18:22
Session 32	After Jesus spent time discussing forgiveness and reconciliation, he gave a controversial parable that's become known as the parable of the unforgiving servant. What makes it controversial is that it's been given 4 different interpretations. We examine all 4.	18:23 - 18:35

Session 34	12 verses in John 8 about a woman caught in adultery have caused great controversy. Satan has attempted to remove them from our Bibles for 2000 years because in them we finally begin to get a taste of just how far-reaching the power of God's Grace really is.				8:1 - 8:59
Session 35	Jesus healed a man who was blind from birth and his behavior afterwards showed evidence of one who not only received physical eyesight, but Spiritual eyesight which freed him from the oppression of the Pharisees. Jesus gave the Parable of the Good Shepherd.				9:1 - 10:21
Session 36	Jesus has given us the power and the authority over all the powers of Satan and his demonic forces. Christians can fall into one of two dangerous traps concerning this awesome power, one is to completely ignore it, the other is to constantly dwell upon it.			10:1 - 10:37
Session 37	If you know how to talk over a telephone, then you know how to pray to God. Unfortunately, Satan has done a great deal to confuse what prayer is all about, even among Christians. In this study, Jesus sets the record straight on prayer and what it's all about.			10:38 - 11:13
Session 38	Prayer isn't an incantation which prompts God to move the way we want, but rather it's a live conversation of both speaking and listening to a God who desires to build a relationship with us. We examine how this works and how Satan attempts to stop it.			10:38 - 11:13

Session 40	Jesus warns his 70 new disciples against the hypocrisy of the Pharisees, he builds up their courage against death threats of religious persecution and then he gives several parables which admonish readiness and watchfulness for his imminent return.			12:1 - 12:59
Session 41	In this session, Jesus initiates a call to national repentance, warning Israel in a parable (of a fruitless fig tree) that they will be cut down and out if they don't repent of their disbelief. He then reminds them of the parables of the mustard seed and the leaven.			13:1 - 13:21
Session 42	Today, some believe that Jesus never proclaimed equality with God. The religious leaders who had Jesus crucified would say otherwise. In this session, Jesus goes to Jerusalem to attend the Feast of Dedication where he is accused of such a blasphemy.			13:22 - 13:35	10:22 - 10:42
Session 43	This session will be catch-up much like what you would expect on the first day of school after Summer vacation. Session 44	Jesus is invited to a dinner with religious leaders where he's set up for another Sabbath trap. After springing the trap, he finds the opportunity to teach them about mercy, humility, hospitality, the call to salvation and the cost of discipleship.			14:1 - 14:35
Session 45	When religious leaders murmur against Jesus for the quality of his company, he responds with the Lost & Found Parables in which 3 types of lost souls are described. The last of these is a surprise for the Pharisees as they are included in the parable as well.			14:15 - 15:32
Session 46	While Jesus continued enjoying a dinner with new disciples who were previously professional sinners, he gave them a controversial parable about a shrewd manager who betrayed his employer in favor of his customers by remitting some of their debts.			16:1 - 16:13
Session 47	Jesus addressed a pressing question that was haunting the minds of the Pharisees. If everyone presses into the Kingdom of God, then what's to become of Israel? What of the Law and the Prophets? Has God divorced Israel in favor of the Church?			16:14 - 16:18

Jesus continues to explain to the religious leaders why everyone, including Gentiles and notorious sinners, are now pressing into the Kingdom of God. But his explanation brought about the need to address a gnawing question that was haunting the minds of the Pharisees. If everyone presses into the Kingdom of God, then what's to become of Israel? What of the declarations, the promises and prophesies of the Law and the Prophets? Has God divorced Israel in favor of the Church? Did the New Testament replace the Old Testament? We'll devote a considerable amount of time investigating his answer because it's an important truth that many Christians today have either forgotten or ignored.

While Jesus continued enjoying a dinner with new disciples who were previously professional sinners, he gave them a controversial parable about a shrewd manager who betrayed his employer in favor of his customers by remitting some of their debts. What makes it controversial is the unusual manner in which Jesus draws an application. After hearing the parable, we expect Jesus to shake his finger and say, "Don't be like the unjust steward." But instead, he tells us to be just like the unjust steward in regards to the wealth of this world and our future in the Kingdom of God.

In this session, Jesus spends an evening with people who are publicly known for their sin. When the religious leaders murmur against him for the quality of his company, Jesus responds with three parables that have become known as "The Lost And Found Parables" of Luke 15 which are the "Parable of the Lost Sheep", the "Parable of the Lost Coin" and the "Parable of the Lost Son" also known as the "Parable of the Prodigal Son". In these three short parables, Jesus identifies three types of lost souls who need finding. The last of the three parables has a surprise for the Pharisees as they have been included in the parable as well.

After springing the trap, he finds the opportunity to teach them about mercy, humility, hospitality, the call to salvation and the cost of discipleship. The most telling and somewhat surprising portion of Luke Chapter 14 is what Jesus had to say about the demands of discipleship which would seem to be a direct rebuke to the "Prosperity Gospel" and the Christianized version of "The American Dream".

Today, some believe that Jesus never said he was God or even claimed equality with God. The religious leaders who had Jesus crucified would say otherwise. In this session, Jesus goes to Jerusalem to attend the Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah) where he is accused of such a blasphemy. He speaks of the saved as sheep who hear his voice, who's security is in the hands of the shepherd and the hands of the Father. Then Jesus speaks of the straight gate to the fold and the coming Kingdom of God upon the earth where many will see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and all the prophets as people from the east, west, north and south come to sit down and take part in the Kingdom.

In this session, Jesus once again reminds us of how much he hates religious hypocrisy. He initiates a call to national repentance, warning Israel in a parable (of a fruitless fig tree) that they will be cut down and out if they don't repent of their refusal to believe the truth. He heals a woman in a synagogue who had been demonically crippled for 18 years and then he gets attacked by the synagogue leader for doing it on the Sabbath. Jesus then reminds them of the parables of the mustard seed and the leaven: two parables that are often misinterpreted in most of our study Bibles.

In this session, religious leaders follow Jesus around hoping to catch him saying something that they can use to arrest him. Meanwhile, Jesus warns his 70 new disciples against the hypocrisy of the Pharisees and builds up their courage against death threats of religious persecution. He comforts them with the promise of God's continual care, even in their physical deaths while driving their focus toward their treasures in Heaven. He also gives several parables which admonish readiness and continual watchfulness for his imminent return.

Legalism is the key ingredient to self-righteousness, which God hates. For those of you who have ever been burdened by the oppression of religious legalism, you are going to love these next 18 verses, in which Jesus verbally lashes out on 2 religious leaders for legalism and hypocrisy. I find it fascinating that of all the various things that Jesus could have publicly shown anger toward, it was always religious externalism and legalistic hypocrisy that set him off.

In this session, Jesus gives an incredible example of what it really means to be given Spiritual eyesight. When Jesus approaches a man who was blind from his birth, he proclaims that this man's condition was planned in advance from outside time so that the works of God could be manifested through him. What follows is a symbolic method in which Jesus chooses to heal the man and his behavior afterwards shows evidence of one who not only received physical eyesight, but Spiritual eyesight as well. His new abilities led him to an interrogation before the Pharisees which resulted in his own excommunication. But as he was led away from the oppression of the Pharisees, he became a free man under the care of "The Good Shepherd." Then Jesus gave his famous parable of the Good Shepherd which boldly displays historical, personal and prophetic applications.

There are 12 little verses tucked away in the first half of John Chapter 8 that have caused more controversy and debate than most realize. Satan himself has gone to great lengths in the past 2000 years to remove these verses from our Bibles, but to no avail. The truth found in these 12 verses generated one of the hottest, nastiest and most slanderous debates found recorded between Jesus and the religious leaders. It even degenerated into an insult against Jesus' mother for sleeping around, insinuating that Jesus didn't know who is father was because he was born of fornication. But in the midst of this heated debate, we find some of the most valuable treasures in the book of John. Jesus was met with opposition from family members, followers, strangers and religious leaders before, during and after his attendance to the Feast of Tabernacles. His brothers taunted him with their disbelief and sarcastic advice, the Samaritans rejected him on his way to Jerusalem, his followers had to be taught a lesson in mercy and then the religious leaders tried to arrest him, but failed. He was accused of hiding, of being a false teacher, of being a prophet and yet, with all the ignorance and opposition, Jesus continued to show his superior intelligence, his perfectly collected demeanor and flawless logic in perfectly chosen words in each and every verbal response given. With this appearance in Jerusalem, Jesus proclaimed his authority came from the Father, his origin was from the Father and his upcoming destination was to be back with the Father. He also offered living water to those who were thirsty and each conversation sent the people into divisions of debate and the religious leaders into a state of enraged confusion.

After Jesus spent a good amount of time discussing forgiveness and reconciliation, he gave a controversial parable that's become known as the parable of the unforgiving servant. What makes it controversial is that it's been given 4 different interpretations by many who hold onto their interpretations with heated passion. One view is almost passive, the other is too aggressive, and another is correct in what it asserts but incorrect in what it denies. The parable is about an unforgiving servant, who demanded payment for a debt owed to him right after he had been forgiven an even bigger debt by his own master. When the master found out, he sent him to the "tormentors until he paid all that was due". Basically folks, this parable promotes that Christians should be forgiving toward each other, but with a scary and ambiguous threat hanging at the end. It's that threat that's become the focus of all the heated debate. It almost sounds like it's saying Christians can lose their salvation if they aren't forgiving. Is that what that really means? In this session we'll cover all 4 interpretations and let you decide.

The need to forgive is something we hear a lot about but very few can explain how it's done. Even our dictionaries run around in circles attempting to define the word forgiveness without any real success. Psychology has built an empire on counseling because of our collective inability to heal from past hurts. Many of us in an attempt to heal through forced forgiveness wind up hurting ourselves even more without really knowing why. From God's perspective, the ability to forgive is dependent upon the blood of Jesus Christ. Without Christ's blood, it is impossible for even the Father to forgive. So if God Himself cannot forgive without the blood, then how can we? The Scriptures indicate that the transfer of our transgressions onto the cross, brought God personal satisfaction. But how? How did the Father receive healing from the blood? And if God Himself cannot heal from his own hurts without the blood of Jesus Christ, then how can we be expected to? Satan has done a masterful job of covering up and completely hiding the truth about what it takes for anyone to be able to forgive and heal from past hurts. The key ingredient, the fuel that makes it possible, THE ONLY WAY TO BE ABLE TO FORGIVE ANYONE OF ANYTHING requires the blood of Jesus Christ. Without the blood of Christ, attempting to forgive actually causes us more harm. It's unhealthy both physically and spiritually. Forgiveness is not about the other person, it's not even about the transgression. Forgiveness is about healing from the hurt that a transgression has caused which only the blood of Jesus Christ can heal. But how is the blood applied? How does that work? Folks, I've been studying the Bible since 1995 and it wasn't until THIS VERY YEAR that I learned what I'm about to share with you in this session.

The primary reason why forgiveness is such a challenge for most Christians today is because we've been falsely taught that it should always result in reconciliation. But Jesus shows us in Matthew Chapter 18, that this simply is not the case. The most obvious example is the forgiveness of the cross. The Scriptures teach that the blood of Jesus Christ covered the sins of the entire world and yet, not every sinner has been reconciled to God. Why not? Didn't God forgive them? Forgiveness and reconciliation are separate things, they are not the same. While Jesus commands us to be forgiving, he also gives us an example of when it's justifiable for Christians to reject reconciliation. It's surprising to discover that in spite of all we've been told, Christians are given the authority by Jesus Himself to exercise discernment concerning whether or not we should be reconciled with someone who's committed an offense against us.

Jesus overheard a debate between his disciples about who among them would be greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. So Jesus sat down a little child next to him to use as a visual aid to represent the child of God and then proceeded to give a lecture on (1) how to get into the Kingdom, (2) how to be great in the Kingdom and (3) how to receive the King's favor. Regarding greatness, he explained that it's the humility of our heart before God that makes us truly great. Jesus then said, "Whoever welcomes and receives one such child in My name welcomes and receives Me. But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble into sin, it would be better for them if a millstone were hung around their neck and thrown into the sea." (For those of you who've been waiting to hear me talk about Hell, this one's for you.) Jesus then spoke of just how far the Father goes to protect his children, even when they rebel or run away. He gave his famous parable of the lost sheep and then explained that every last one of us who are called a child of God, have angels guarding us 24/7. Guardian angels are not a myth, they're a Biblical reality.

All of us have to deal with various types of immovable mountains in our path that are huge and intimidating. They're too high for us to climb over, they're too big to go around and too thick to tunnel through. These mountains can be circumstantial, emotional, financial, physical or even demonic. Jesus said that just the faith of a mustard seed could enable us to remove mountains and nothing would be impossible for us. He also said that the ingredients to building that kind of faith required prayer and fasting but what does that mean? It's not what you think. In this study, Jesus is quoted rebuking Satan after having been personally rebuked by Peter. Even though Peter spoke the rebuke, Jesus knew who the enemy really was. I don't know about you, but for me one of the hardest things in life for me to remember is who my enemy really is. Ephesians 6:12 tells us that our battles are not waged against physical opponents, but against principalities and powers of wicked spiritual forces in high places of the supernatural sphere. To put it another way, none of our enemies are human. No matter what's going on, our enemies are invisible super-beings who've been waging war against the people of God for thousands of years. They use human beings and circumstances in our lives as camouflage. If you're a Christian, that means you signed up for this whether you like it or not because Ephesians 6:12 doesn't seem to give us any option to go A.W.O.L. Fortunately for us, everything that follows verse 12 in Ephesians 6 turns out to be a military intelligence report from Paul concerning spiritual warfare. Listed from verse 14 to 18 is a complete tactical of the enemies' battle-plans, the weapons they use and the spots they target. Also given in this valuable intel is a list of weapons AT OUR DISPOSAL that Paul calls THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD. Jesus called these weapons, THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM.

In Matthew 16:18, we find the very first appearance of the word, "church". It's used in our English Bibles to define the Greek word, "ecclesia" which simply means "assembly or congregation". In the context of every place the word "ecclesia" appears in the Bible, it's referring to those who belong to the family of God. It has nothing to do with Sunday mornings or public places of worship. As a matter of fact, when you read what the Bible says about the purpose of our assembling together, you'll discover that most (if not all) of those purposes are left unfulfilled in those public places of worship. So if the Greek word "ecclesia" means "assembly or congregation," then why doesn't our English Bibles just translate it that way? Where did the word "church" come from and what does it mean? It turns out, the word "church" originated from another ancient Greek word which means, "the master's house" and it was originally used by pagan religions to identify their places of worship, which were usually shrines filled with artifacts to identify the building with their religion. The term "church" identifies the place of worship, rather than identifying the worshipers. No wonder we're so confused today. Jesus never used this word. Christians didn't originally use public shrines or religious buildings and that distinguished them from the pagans who's focus was heavily on buildings, statues, rituals, ceremonies and physical objects. Unfortunately, all of that changed when Christianity intermingled itself with the paganism of ancient Rome so that by the time the Bible was translated into English, the understanding of the word "ecclesia" had shifted it's focus away from the people and onto a building with officials and a religious hierarchy.

When human beings take their man-made religious traditions and call them commandments of God, they're treading on dangerous ground. Jesus was mostly criticized not by secularists, atheists, or even the demon possessed, but rather the religious leaders who continually found themselves opposing him at every turn. They had taken Biblical principles and turned them into exaggerated, ceremonial, man-made traditions. This still happens today and unfortunately, people can get into the habit of blindly following religious ceremonies and traditions without ever stopping to consult God's Word and ask Him, "Why are we all doing this? What's the point?" Jesus said, "If you abide in My Word, you are truly my disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will make you free."

One of the more fascinating discoveries in modern science has been the discovery that TIME ITSELF is a physical property which is part of our creation. Among everything else, God created space/time. Isaiah described God as someone who "inhabits eternity." Dr. Chuck Missler likes to point out that "God isn't someone with lots of time on his hands. He's outside the dimensionality of time altogether!" If you were to envision all of human history written on a timeline, you'd have to put God outside the timeline overlooking the past, the present and the future from a single vantage point hovering above and over the entire timeline. This solves a very controversial paradox: Jesus made it very clear on more than one occasion that all who voluntarily come to Him, will be saved. This is a free-will, voluntary act of faith on our part. God saves us after and only after we choose him, and not before. But later in Paul's letter to the Ephesians, we're told that we were chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. So who chose who first? The answer to that question depends upon which side of the time-domain your asking.

In this study, we cover 2 scenarios that give us a whole lot to think about concerning how to overcome impossible and undesirable situations in our life. The first scenario involves Jesus feeding 5000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. The other scenario involves Jesus walking on water and Peter joining him! While these are obvious acts of a supernatural God, we often overlook what Jesus required of his disciples in order for these miracles to take place. Jesus required 2 things: (1) that his disciples follow his directions whether they made sense to them or not and (2) that they focus on HIM and HIS abilities, rather than focusing on the circumstances. Simply doing those 2 things is what led to 5000 people being fed with 2 fish and 5 loaves and it's also what led to Peter walking on water in the midst of a storm. The formula is very simple and yet it's easy to forget amidst all our many distractions. If your needs are greater than your resources, or if you're experiencing storms in your life that you'd like to rise above, then you might want to give this podcast a listen.

Many have tried to suggest that the classic scenarios of demonic possession recorded in the Bible are nothing more than a primitive culture's attempt to explain personality disorders and mental illnesses. It's because of that viewpoint that I believe Jesus chose to handle this next case in the way that he did to prove that these aren't cases of personality disorders or diseases of the mind, but are literal cases of demonic spirits oppressing and sometimes possessing their human victims to the point of entering their body to share their mind and in many cases, override it. Mark and Luke's record of this event was taken from memory. Matthew's record was recorded quickly by short-hand as it happened, if not soon after. Combining these three reports, we find that this particular individual had been known throughout his community. He had been possessed for a very long time, wandering around the community naked, screaming in the night, sleeping among the tombs and cutting himself with stones. The local authorities had attempted multiple times to subdue him. Nothing they had done could stop him. They had even resorted to binding him in shackles and chains, but he ripped them all apart! Apparently, super-human strength is another symptom of demonic possession when the demons have massed together. This is when Jesus chose to respond to this particular case for our educational benefit. Mark and Luke report that instead of casting out the demons as Jesus had done before, he asked, "What is your name?" and he said, "My name is LEGION for we are many." At the time, a legion was a military company of 6000 Roman soldiers. The beings possessing this man were soldiers of Satan, and they were at least 6000 in number. But standing in the presence of Jesus, the Son of God, they shrieked in terror and begged Him, "If you cast us out, please permit us to go away into that herd of hogs over there." A herd of 2000 hogs were quietly grazing in a nearby field. Jesus gave a nod of permission. The man immediately fell down as the entire herd of 2000 hogs suddenly became violent and stampeded over a cliff to drown themselves in the sea.

This is an amazing and incredible study for we can clearly see Jesus giving commendation, encouragement and criticism to the churches of each age throughout history, starting with the apostolic age, then to the church of the persecuted age, then to the Imperial Church, then to the Papacy, then to the Protestant & Denominational churches, then to the missionaries and non-denominational churches and then finally to the apostate church. If Jesus had given his Kingdom Parables in any other order, this prophetic property wouldn't apply.

When you consider the extremes that God personally went to secure our safe passage into Heaven without any threat from Hell, it's hard to believe that there would exist any particular sin that could not be forgiven. What sin could possibly be unforgivable? It's given cute little labels such as "blasphemy against the Holy Spirit" with hardly any further explanation as to what that really means. Which sin was Jesus referring to when he declared blasphemy against the Holy Spirit to be an unforgivable sin? Who was he talking to and what did they do? What sin could have possibly escaped the "PAID IN FULL" declaration that Jesus personally made before he died on the cross? Did Jesus make a mistake?

Quotes attributed to poets, philosophers, presidents and kings can usually be found first in Scripture. The famous quote of Abraham Lincoln from his "House Divided Speech" was actually quoted first by Jesus Himself. Jesus had just been seen expelling a demon from a mute-demoniac. Rather than attribute this work as an act of God, the religious leaders accused Jesus of working for Beelzebub: The Prince Of Demons. In response to this absurd accusation, Jesus said, "How can Satan cast out Satan? Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. Every city or house divided against itself cannot stand. Therefore, if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand because you say that I cast out demons by the power of Beelzebub?"

One of the spookiest quotes from Jesus (and one of the most widely misunderstood) is found in Matthew Chapter 8 where he speaks of casting "children of the kingdom into outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." People often quote this passage in reference to the futures of those who call themselves Christian, but really aren't. Most of us assume that "the outer darkness" is synonymous with Hell, and for good reason because many good teachers make that same assumption. But upon further and deeper investigation, the "outer darkness" that Jesus refers to isn't Hell. These "children of the kingdom" are not being judged or condemned away from Heaven, but rather they are being denied access to a particular privilege in the "Kingdom Of Heaven" that they falsely assumed they would have access.

In Matthew Chapter 6, Jesus gave us some instructions on how to make solid investments towards our future in Heaven. He gave us instructions on how to fast and specifically HOW NOT to fast, how to give and specifically HOW NOT to give and then most importantly, how to pray and specifically HOW NOT to pray. He stressed the importance of keeping it private between you and God and then He stressed the importance of keeping it real without fake platitudes or repetitive phrases. In discussing these passages, we find enough material to offend just about everyone, the classic fundamentalists as well as the modern age charismatics. But as with all things, before accepting or rejecting what I say in this broadcast, keep an open mind while filtering everything through the scrutiny of Scripture.

As we focus on Matthew's exhaustive record of Jesus' Sermon On The Mount, we learn that the "Kingdom of Heaven" is different from the "Kingdom of God". All throughout the book of Matthew, it seems that the "Kingdom Of Heaven" is tied directly to the future rule of Jesus Christ over the Earth. Knowing this really helps us understand what Jesus meant when he said things like, "the meek shall inherit the earth." Who are the meek and what is the inheritance? And WHEN will the meek inherit the Earth? And how? Jesus said that "their righteousness must exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees" and they must "be perfect just as their Father in Heaven is perfect." How could any of us possibly fulfill those requirements? Fortunately for all of us, Jesus also began this lecture by personally claiming responsibility for fulfilling the Law on our behalf. "I did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill. For truly I tell you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law till all be fulfilled."

If money, food, laughter and popularity have always been easy for you, then you're headed for disappointment. In Luke's record of the Sermon On The Mount, Jesus even went so far to say that the exact opposite is true for those who are currently poor, hungry, sad or rejected. Jesus' perspective was eternal and the logic behind his reasoning was so impressive that Luke's record of the Sermon focused primarily on this single point. Matthew's record is much more exhaustive, which we'll cover in future sessions. But for now, we'll single out Luke's record for this study. We'll study a subtle difference between the phrases "Kingdom Of God" and "Kingdom Of Heaven" and we'll also get into the famous passage from which we get the phrase, "The Blind Leading The Blind."

If you're into tough questions, deep material and discussing topics that no one else will cover, then this study is for you. In John Chapter 5, Jesus speaks of the dead living after hearing his voice, but he classifies them into two separate groups. Group 1 covers all New Testament believers, all those between Jesus' day and the present day who are physically alive but Spiritually dead until hearing His voice. Group 2 covers all Old Testament believers, all those between Adam's day and Jesus' day who were physically dead while Jesus was speaking and still waiting to hear His voice. That leads us to an even deeper topic. Where did all the souls of the Old Testament believers go when they died? Because of our lacking education in the Old Testament, we fail to realize that Paradise (aka) Abraham's Bosom is not the same place as Heaven. We also fail to notice that Sheol (aka) Hades is not the same place as Hell or the bottomless pit. Sound deep enough for ya?

Whenever Jesus made his way into Galilee, he was continually confronted by those who were possessed by demons. Demonic possession was prevalent all throughout Galilee because it was filled with all manner of pagan worship, false gods, and strange rituals. These rituals and ceremonies invited demonic activity. If a false god was nothing more than the invention of someone's imagination, then it wouldn't be worth worrying about other than the fact it might look silly to someone who knows better. But unfortunately, history along with the Bible has shown that demons are always ready to assume the role of a false god. And when a land becomes prominently filled with the pagan worship of false gods, demonic possession soon overtakes it.

While Jesus was visiting his hometown, he quoted an Old Testament prophecy concerning himself and inserted a comma where one did not exist before. The comma he inserted implied a marker between all that was before from all that was to follow. He told them that he fulfilled all that was before the comma in their eyes. All that was to follow, has yet to be fulfilled. But then his following statement sent everyone into a murderous rage against him. The mob literally grabbed him and carried him away to plunge him head-first down over a cliff. Jesus passed through the crowd (probably slipping through a hyperspace) before making his way to Capernaum. But what on earth could Jesus have possibly said to send them into such a state of insane, murderous rage?

In this study, we will start things off with some pretty heavy material. After Jesus was born and as he grew up, how far back did his personal memories go? Could he personally remember his life with the Father before he became human? We will discuss a theory concerning what it must have been like for Jesus when He came into what Bible scholars call, "His Full Knowledge." We will also get into the significance of Jesus' first miracle, the turning of water into wine at a wedding feast in Cana. Then we will cover one of the most famous portions of the entire Bible, the conversation with Nicodemus which led to the famous John 3:16. During this conversation, Jesus covered the necessity of spiritual rebirth, the prerequisite to "ever seeing the Kingdom of God" and a surprising portion of the conversation which is rarely understood. Not too many expositors will expound upon it, but we will. What did Jesus mean by comparing Himself to the serpent that Moses lifted up in the wilderness?

In this study, we will cover the controversial ministry of John The Baptist, where we're introduced to the polarizing Pharisees & Sadducees, the doctrine of trees without fruit, the destiny of wheat & chaff and the doctrine of baptism (rebirth) in the Holy Spirit. Then we will be introduced to Jesus as an adult as he surprises John by requesting to be baptized. John didn't understand, but Jesus was fulfilling prophecy by placing himself among human transgressors, positioning Himself before His Father as one of us, a "Son Of Man". As soon as Jesus took this position, God proclaimed audibly, "This is My Son, in Whom I am well pleased." So with that statement, the Father judicially announced to the human race His own approval of Jesus taking upon the office of duel ambassador between God and the human race. Jesus represents us to His Father while representing His Father to us. To seal the deal, the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus before He went out into the wilderness for 40 days. It was there that Satan attempted to drive Jesus away from his mission to the cross.

Our 3rd Bible Study at Founding Word covers what many of us think of as part of the Christmas Story: the appearing of a mysterious star over Bethlehem that led the Magi (aka) "The Wise Men" to Jesus' home. While many of us enjoy seeing three wealthy men bearing gifts before a manger on our Christmas cards, this strange event actually took place much later, possibly as much as 2 years after the manger scene. The coming of the Magi into Israel literally shook up the entire kingdom and even rattled King Herod. In this study, we will cover the politics of Israel during the reign of Herod and why the sudden appearance of the Magi was so disturbing to the people. We will also get into the significance of "gold, frankincense and myrrh" because those three forms of gifts tell us a lot about WHO the Magi thought Jesus really was. The Magi probably knew much more than we give them credit. And then for fun, we will also get into the supernatural physics of "the star" that appeared over Bethlehem. In closing, we will go over Jesus' first reported confrontation with religious leaders. He was only 12 years old at the time and even then he had them spinning in circles.

Our 2nd Bible Study at Founding Word covers The Christmas Story. We'll start off with the first angelic encounter by Mary's Uncle Zachariah while he was performing duties in the Temple. This angel turns out to be none other than the famous Gabriel seen by Daniel centuries earlier. Then Gabriel visits Mary and their famous exchange is recorded. We will explore a little bit about why Jesus had to be born of a virgin and then we will cover the rest of the famous story. Mary visits her Aunt Elizabeth to rejoice over the prophetic destiny of their unborn children while Gabriel visits Mary's fiance who was apparently troubled by Mary's sudden and unexplained pregnancy. Later, Mary gives birth to Jesus in a barn and has to lay him in a barnyard feeding trough. Meanwhile, an army of angels manifest themselves to nearby shepherds to announce Jesus' birth and even gives them instructions on how they can find him. The shepherds quickly leave and find Jesus exactly where they were told.

Launching our first Bible Study at Founding Word, we get into the background & overview of what are commonly known as the Gospels. While Matthew & Luke surprise us with remarkable structures found in Jesus' genealogy, John tops them all in just his first 18 verses. Not only did he introduce boldly the doctrine of Grace, but he blatantly pointed out that Jesus pre-existed his human birth, which lead us diving head first into one of the most controversial doctrines of Biblical Christianity known superficially as "The Trinity Of God". The first rule of understanding the Trinity is accepting the fact that it can't be fully understood. It hasn't been until our recent understanding of hyperspaces thanks to modern science that we're even beginning to understand it. Unfortunately, modern science never thought to share this with the Christian community, so I'm sharing it with you here in our first Bible Study at Founding Word. Enjoy.

Understanding Biblical Forgiveness

The need to forgive is something we hear a lot about but very few can explain how it's done. Even our dictionaries run around in circles attempting to define the word forgiveness without any real success. Psychology has built an empire on counseling because of our collective inability to heal from past hurts. Many of us in an attempt to heal through forced forgiveness wind up hurting ourselves even more without really knowing why. From God's perspective, the ability to forgive is dependent upon the blood of Jesus Christ. Without Christ's blood, it is impossible for even the Father to forgive. So if God Himself cannot forgive without the blood, then how can we? The Scriptures indicate that the transfer of our transgressions onto the cross, brought God personal satisfaction. But how? How did the Father receive healing from the blood? And if God Himself cannot heal from his own hurts without the blood of Jesus Christ, then how can we be expected to?

Satan has done a masterful job of covering up and completely hiding the truth about what it takes for anyone to be able to forgive and heal from past hurts. The key ingredient, the fuel that makes it possible, THE ONLY WAY TO BE ABLE TO FORGIVE ANYONE OF ANYTHING requires the blood of Jesus Christ. Without the blood of Christ, attempting to forgive actually causes us more harm. It's unhealthy both physically and spiritually. Forgiveness is not about the other person, it's not even about the transgression. Forgiveness is about healing from the hurt that a transgression has caused which only the blood of Jesus Christ can heal. But how is the blood applied? How does that work? Folks, I've been studying the Bible since 1995 and it wasn't until THIS VERY YEAR that I learned what I'm about to share with you in this session.

I believe these are the foundations for what Jesus meant when he said in Matthew 16:25 "Whoever Saves His Life Will Lose It, But Whoever Loses His Life For My Sake Will Find It." In this session we talk about seeking 1st the Kingdom of God, what it means to carry our cross and follow him, to delight ourselves in the Lord and we address unmet needs and the desires of our heart.

The Church VS The Ecclesia

The word "church" is used in our English Bibles for the Greek word "ecclesia" which simply means "assembly or congregation". In the context of every place the word "ecclesia" appears in the original Greek, it refers to those who belong to the family of God. It hasn't anything to do with Sunday mornings or public places of worship. As a matter of fact, the more you read what the Bible has to say about the purpose of our assembling together, you'll discover that most (if not all) of those purposes are left unfulfilled in today's public places of worship. So if the Greek word "ecclesia" means "assembly or congregation," then why doesn't our English Bibles just translate it that way? Where did the word "church" come from and what does it mean?

            Many have tried to suggest that the classic scenarios of demonic possession recorded in the Bible are nothing more than a primitive culture's attempt to explain personality disorders and mental illnesses. It's because of that viewpoint that I believe Jesus chose to handle this next case in the way that he did to prove that these aren't cases of personality disorders or diseases of the mind, but are literal cases of demonic spirits oppressing and sometimes possessing their human victims to the point of entering their body to share their mind and in many cases, override it. Mark and Luke's record of this event was taken from memory. Matthew's record was recorded quickly by short-hand as it happened, if not soon after.

            Combining these three reports, we find that this particular individual had been known throughout his community. He had been possessed for a very long time, wandering around the community naked, screaming in the night, sleeping among the tombs and cutting himself with stones. The local authorities had attempted multiple times to subdue him. Nothing they had done could stop him. They had even resorted to binding him in shackles and chains, but he ripped them all apart! Apparently, super-human strength is another symptom of demonic possession when the demons have massed together. This is when Jesus chose to respond to this particular case for our educational benefit.

            Mark and Luke report that instead of casting out the demons as Jesus had done before, he asked, "What is your name?" and he said, "My name is LEGION for we are many." At the time, a legion was a military company of 6000 Roman soldiers. The beings possessing this man were soldiers of Satan, and they were at least 6000 in number. But standing in the presence of Jesus, the Son of God, they shrieked in terror and begged Him, "If you cast us out, please permit us to go away into that herd of hogs over there." A herd of 2000 hogs were quietly grazing in a nearby field. Jesus gave a nod of permission. The man immediately fell down as the entire herd of 2000 hogs suddenly became violent and stampeded over a cliff to drown themselves in the sea.

Treasures In Heaven

We've often heard it said that you can't take it with you when you die. But in Matthew 6:19-21, from the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus taught that IT IS possible to send it on up ahead of you by laying up for yourselves treasures in Heaven where neither moth nor rust can corrupt and where thieves do not break through and steal. How is this done and how is it even possible? What are the treasures of Heaven? Jesus wasn't speaking metaphorically, but literally, as he emphasized the laying up of these treasures as if they were piling up and increasing. To further emphasize their reality and their incredible value, he said "For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." What are these treasures and how do you lay them up?

In Matthew Chapter 6, Jesus gave us special instructions on how to pray and specifically HOW NOT to pray. He stressed the importance of keeping it private between you and God and then he stressed the importance of keeping it real without fake platitudes or repetitive phrases. As an example, he gave us a template to follow that's become known as The Lord's Prayer. In discussing these passages, we find enough material to offend just about everyone, the classic fundamentalists as well as the modern age charismatics. But as with all things, before accepting or rejecting what I say in this broadcast, keep an open mind while filtering everything through the scrutiny of Scripture.

It's common to assume they exist for historical purposes only. But upon further investigation of most of these records, you'll find something hidden in plain sight that will blow your mind. In Matthew Chapter 1 and Luke Chapter 3, we have two different records of Jesus' family tree. Matthew and Luke take different routes through the genealogical history of Jesus' lineage, but the Holy Spirit embedded into the text an incredible surprise that Matthew and Luke probably knew nothing about!

In a sermon addressed to His disciples, Jesus explained God's requirements for keeping the Law and He set the bar so incredibly high that one can't help but wonder if the goal is even possible. Jesus said that "their righteousness must exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees" and they must "be perfect just as their Father in Heaven is perfect." How could any of us possibly fulfill those requirements? Fortunately for all of us, Jesus also began this lecture by personally claiming responsibility for fulfilling the Law on our behalf and said, "I did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill. For truly I tell you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall pass from the law till all be fulfilled."

Persecuted For Righteousness Sake

When Satan's minions attack someone who is a follower of Christ, or someone who is advancing God's agenda against the agenda of darkness, they never admit it. They camouflage their persecution under deceptive accusations against your character. How many of you know what it feels like to be falsely accused of something egregious? How many of you know what it feels like to be excluded, hated and reviled for reasons that don't exist? If so, you're in good company. Jesus was accused of being a bastard, a false prophet, a drunk, a psychopath and demon-possessed. If it happened to him, it will happen to you on some level. All of us are born with a natural desire for unrighteousness. You might call it a genetic defect that's programmed into our DNA. But when we're saved and sealed by the Holy Spirit, we're given new and additional software which creates within us a hunger and thirst for righteousness. If we're not careful, we may resort to extremes in an attempt to fulfill that desire. One extreme is to put on self-righteousness which results in hypocrisy. The other extreme is to live in a continual state of private guilt and self-condemnation. Fortunately, God provides an escape route that rests in between these two extremes.

During a celebration of the Jewish Passover Feast, Jesus launched into a controversial discussion with religious leaders in which he determined to explain to them how to pass over death into life. In doing so, Jesus proclaimed equality with God in power, authority and judgement. All of the Feasts of the Lord were instituted by God in commemoration of significant historical events in the nation of Israel. But upon the arrival of Israel's Messiah, it became apparent that these traditional feasts were also prophetic because the 1st Passover was a prophetic anticipation of what Jesus would accomplish at the Cross.

Why would God memorialize the Sabbath Day? What exactly are we supposed to be remembering? Was it because it was the first Saturday of history to become a day off from work? Did God get tired and need a break? What really happened on the 1st Sabbath Day? In Genesis Chapter 1, we have the famous "Creation Week" and then immediately following in Chapter 2, it reports that the heavens and the earth were finished. But then on the 7th day, (the day after we were just told it was finished), we're told that God "ended" his work. If his work was finished on the 6th day, what exactly did God "end" on the 7th day? This short little study is an interesting look into the 1st Sabbath Rest. Investigating the Hebrew language with scientific research of Jewish scholars provides some fascinating insights into what really happened on the 1st Sabbath Day.

Does all the world pray to the same God? Whenever Jesus made his way into Galilee, he was continually confronted by those who were possessed by demons. When a land becomes filled with all manner of pagan worship, false gods, and strange rituals, it's no coincidence that demonic possession soon overtakes it. These rituals and ceremonies invited demonic activity. If a false god was nothing more than the invention of the imagination, then it wouldn't be worth worrying about other than the fact it might look silly to someone who knows better. But unfortunately, history along with the Bible has shown that demons are always ready to assume the role of a false god. And when a land becomes prominently filled with the pagan worship of false gods, demonic possession soon overtakes it.

Most Christians have no idea the magnitude of elaborate deception that's on our near horizon. When DNA was discovered, the evidence of intelligent design was proven, but ignored. This interview was recorded on our old secular BTR show in 2009 before I went full time with Founding Word. Listening to Chuck Missler's Bible studies throughout the years are largely responsible for what inspired the launch of Founding Word.

After graduating from the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, Maryland, Chuck Missler received a commission in the Air Force. He was the branch chief in the Department of Guided Missiles during the "missile crisis" of the late 1950's. As the reconnaissance satellites were creating their turmoil within the global intelligence community, he was in the middle of THAT program as well. Then later, after having completed graduate degrees in business and engineering, he was recruited into the senior levels of the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. And then later in the 1960's, he had the opportunity to pioneer the development of the first international computer network, which was a forerunner of the world wide web. Over the years he's served as a director of numerous public companies and was Chairman and Chief Executive of six of them. Four of these were publicly traded defense contractors, serving the most highly classified agencies of our government.

But while all of this was going on, he had a personal hobby that continued to grow as time went by. With an intelligence background, a background in the information sciences, a background in computer science, Dr. Missler discovered that the Founding Book of his Christian faith, was much more than that. Because of it's structural design and so many other properties within the text itself, he learned that the Bible actually showed evidence of being written from the perspective of one who transcends space/time. And this led to a personal adventure of passionate exploration that has never died. He's published several books and audio lectures on the design of the Bible itself as well as other materials monitoring our current history which seems to be setting the stage for an event that's talked about all throughout the Bible.

More recent editions of Chuck's Bible commentaries are available for purchase at the Koinonia House Store or available to stream on demand at K-House TV. Chuck's Bible commentaries are also required course materials for students enrolled at Koinonia Institute which is an accredited online Bible Institute with a focus on verse-by-verse study where serious Christians can grow in knowledge, understanding, awareness and commitment.

Transcending all dimensions of our reality, he was with the Creator and WAS the Creator and all things were made by him. But how much did he lose by becoming a human being? After Jesus was born and as he grew up, how far back did his personal memories go? Could he remember his life with the Father before he became human? Could he remember being the Creator?             If you were to engage in a peripheral study of God's love and an even shorter study of God's justice, you will find yourself having trouble reconciling a viscous paradox that can only be resolved at the Cross. It was there that God provided a balance-transfer system that would transfer all debts against Himself to an account that could afford to pay for every last debt. Only THE PERFECT WISDOM OF GOD could have conceived of such a plan! Only THE PERFECT RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD could have accomplished such a plan and only THE PERFECT LOVE OF GOD would have volunteered to carry it out.

So many Christians have given up trying to understand the Bible because they've bought into Satan's lie, that they aren't smart enough to understand it. Satan adds further interference when creating so many different interpretations to Biblical passages so that people will think, "What's the point of reading the Bible if anyone can come up with their own interpretation? How do I know if my interpretation is the right interpretation?" Besides the fact that The Holy Spirit interprets for us the meaning of God's Word, the internet is overflowing with excellent study tools for Biblical research, examining the original source-text, allowing the Bible to speak for itself. From all that I've discovered so far, these three websites seem to be on the cutting edge.

The Blue Letter Bible is the entire Bible complete with dictionary aids, verse by verse parallel translations with over a dozen other translations in English, Latin, Greek or Hebrew. (See example for John 3:16) Each verse is linked to countless textual or audio notes and commentary from countless authors and expositors. But my personal favorite feature found at The Blue Letter Bible is the Concordance & Hebrew/Greek Lexicon. Each and every word found in the entire Bible is directly linked to the original Hebrew word or Greek word. (See example for John 3:16) Each Hebrew or Greek word has a link to the Strong's definition. When the link is clicked, it takes you to a thorough exhaustive study of that word, with a complete definition and a complete listing of every single appearance of that particular word found in the entire Bible. There's even an audio clip of someone audibly pronouncing the word so you can actually here the original word pronounced.

The Online Parallel Bible is the entire Bible complete with an excellent search tool which enables you to search the entire Bible by any word, any phrase, any chapter, verse or combination. Type in any word or phrase, and it will display every single verse in the entire Bible that contains that word or phrase. Then, when you click on a specified verse, it opens up a new window with that verse displayed in nearly 20 different English translations. (See example for John 3:16) You can navigate through the entire parallel Bible this way, looking one verse at a time, or click on your preferred translation, and it will open up that verse's entire chapter in that particular translation. Also included are concordances, dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps and charts.

The only little issue I have with the Blue Letter Bible and the Online Parallel Bible is that they don't include in their resources, a copy of The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition. I suppose it's a copyright issue, otherwise I'm sure both resources would include it. However, an online copy of The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition with Parallel Translations can be found at BibleGateway.com. Each chapter of each book of the Bible is linked. Click on the link and it will take you to that chapter. Once displayed, you can narrow your page to a single verse or broaden your page to several chapters by typing the Biblical references in the search bar. You can also switch to different translations. There are presently 42 English translations to choose from as well as 68 translations in other languages besides English. You can switch back and forth to those other translations or you can add up to 5 translations, side by side. (See example for John 3:16)

In 1995, when I was 20 years old, I prayerfully ventured out for the first time to make my own purchase of a Bible to find answers to serious questions. There were too many voices from too many Christian denominations to decipher, so I decided to cut out the middle-man and study the Bible on my own in search for answers to my questions. I was totally unprepared for the shocking discoveries that were waiting for me or how they would affect me personally for the rest of my life. The Bible isn't just a book written by a bunch of guys who started Judaism and Christianity, but it's an actual tool created by God Himself to communicate directly to the people of His creation. I am fully convinced and can honestly say that the Bible IS INDEED God's Living Word to the entire planet Earth as a whole, but then personally and individually to those whom He calls, His Own. I'm not a prophet. I don't have any doctorates in theology. I've never attended seminary and I have no allegiances to any particular Christian denomination. I'm strictly a believer in God's Word and everything it teaches because God Himself has proven that He supernaturally prepared it, He continually preserves it and through it He speaks to all those who are willing to listen. There isn't a single question that I've ever had that it didn't address to my satisfaction and believe me, I had lots of tough questions.

The Blue Letter Bible is the entire Bible complete with dictionary aids, verse by verse parallel translations with over a dozen other translations in English, Latin, Greek or Hebrew. (See example for John 3:16) Each verse is linked to countless textual or audio notes and commentary from countless authors and expositors. But my personal favorite feature found at The Blue Letter Bible is the Concordance & Hebrew/Greek Lexicon. Each and every word found in the entire Bible is directly linked to the original Hebrew word or Greek word. (See example for John 3:16) Each Hebrew or Greek word has a link to the Strong's definition. When the link is clicked, it takes you to a thorough exhaustive study of that word, with a complete definition and a complete listing of every single appearance of that particular word found in the entire Bible. There's even an audio clip of someone audibly pronouncing the word so you can actually here the original word pronounced.
The Online Parallel Bible is the entire Bible complete with an excellent search tool which enables you to search the entire Bible by any word, any phrase, any chapter, verse or combination. Type in any word or phrase, and it will display every single verse in the entire Bible that contains that word or phrase. Then, when you click on a specified verse, it opens up a new window with that verse displayed in nearly 20 different English translations. (See example for John 3:16) You can navigate through the entire parallel Bible this way, looking one verse at a time, or click on your preferred translation, and it will open up that verse's entire chapter in that particular translation. Also included are concordances, dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps and charts.
The only little issue I have with the Blue Letter Bible and the Online Parallel Bible is that they don't include in their resources, a copy of The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition. I suppose it's a copyright issue, otherwise I'm sure both resources would include it. However, an online copy of The Amplified Bible, Classic Edition with Parallel Translations can be found at BibleGateway.com. Each chapter of each book of the Bible is linked. Click on the link and it will take you to that chapter. Once displayed, you can narrow your page to a single verse or broaden your page to several chapters by typing the Biblical references in the search bar. You can also switch to different translations. There are presently 42 English translations to choose from as well as 68 translations in other languages besides English. You can switch back and forth to those other translations or you can add up to 5 translations, side by side. (See example for John 3:16)
