Note: Your vehicle must support Android Auto via USB for this adapter to work. It provides wireless connectivity for vehicles, where Android Auto can only be used with a cable connection. Some vehicles keep the USB ports and 12V auxiliary power outlet  live when the ignition is off.

In my 2020 Ram, I found that for the 12V auxiliary power outlet, you can move the associated fuse (in my Ram, it was fuse location 90/91) one place over, and it will turn off when the vehicle is off. I purchased a USB inline switch to turn off the USB port because I could not find a RAM solution.
