In Arizona, VA loans are widely used across Pima, Cochise, and Pinal counties, especially in communities around Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Fort Huachuca, and Tucson’s surrounding suburbs.

2. Manufactured Homes Are Possible, but Tricky
Arizona has a number of manufactured homes, especially in rural and retirement areas. VA loans can be used to purchase them, but only if the home is on a permanent foundation, was built after 1976, and meets specific HUD and VA guidelines. Not every lender will finance manufactured homes, so it’s critical to work with someone experienced.

3. No Loan Limit (But You Still Need to Qualify)
While the VA no longer imposes loan limits, your income and credit will determine how much house you can afford. In Arizona, you can use your VA benefit on everything from starter homes to million-dollar properties — if you qualify for the financing.

4. Some sellers and agents may not fully understand how VA loans work
It's not uncommon for sellers or agents to misunderstand VA loans. Things like repair requests, appraisal timelines, or myths about "weaker" buyers may come up. That’s why having an agent who understands the process, advocates for you, and knows how to structure a strong VA offer is essential.

On Saturday 4/12/25, Glasheen Real Estate held another outreach event, “THE GREAT SPRING FLING” as a thank you to all of our amazing clients and an opportunity for our community to come together and have a great time, make new friends and enjoy the beauty of Spring in the Sonoran Desert. Everyone enjoyed free food from Tucson’s award winning Blacktop Grill food truck, we held an “egg scramble” egg hunt for the kids, fresh cotton candy, yard games, bubbles galore and a golden egg raffle for many amazing prizes including a Yeti Backpack cooler, gift certificates to locally owned stores and restaurants among other fun.
