FF7 as a Beat em Up

Fans of side scrolling platform beat em ups like Double Dragon and Streets of Rage are in for a real treat.

A group of programmers have taken the

characters and basic story from legendary RPG title Final Fantasy 7 and converted it into an action game.

Now you can play as the main characters using the giant swords and magic but with the feel of a coin op arcade classic.

Developed by PD Design studio the game is not sanctioned by the original creators so you can imagine it can be difficult to find and play.

google PD Design Studio and go and have a crack at it, you won’t be disappointed.

The Talos Principle - Review

If you loved 1st person puzzle games like Portal and Myst then The Talos Principle is a game for you. Strangely it comes from developers Croteam, who are

the creators of the Serious Sam series so its a real change in style but one that pays off.

Players are tasked with solving a series of increasingly difficult series of puzzles woven into a complex story of intelligence and meaning..

Graphically this is next level, just beautiful with its imersive scenic worlds. It handles really well too, if you make a mistake you certainly cant blame your tools when you play this one.

The puzzles themselves are a mixture of complex and fun which will keep you thinking well after you’ve turned the system off to have a breather.

Try it out on your PS4, Android device, Mac or Pc. for a true Experience use a high end gaming PC.

Why Angry Birds 2 made me Angry

With the large amount of Angry Birds games out there you’d be forgiven for thinking that a sequel to the original game had already been released, but until

now we’ve only seen spin offs like the Star Wars saga.

The new Angry Birds looks great and plays a little different as well as you earn bird cards to bash your way through the evil pig levels. The actual game is not the issue though.

The thing that will really make you angry though is it feels like they have sold out to the world of freemium. There was always an element of this but now it feels like it is front and centre and the in app purchases take away from core fun and accessibility of the title.

The other thing that will give you the red bird scowl is the load times. Somewhere along the line Mobile game developers have forgotten that these are supposed to be designed for gamers on the go, a quick level between real life jobs. They seriously need to cut down these load times.

Top 5 - Superhero Games

With the release of Batman: Arkham Knight it got me thinking about the best Superhero games ever released. There's been some absolute shockers but what are the ones that are really worth

us spending our hard earned money on and playing for hours. Here are the Top 5 Superhero Games.

Number 5: Injustice - God Among Us

This was not just a good Superhero game but a really good fighting game similar to the Mortal Kombat series with elements of Soul Calibure. It even has a companion comic book series that takes us deeper into the Alternate DC universe where Superman is not "the good guy".

Number 4: Spider-Man 2

The first game based on a movie that is even worth looking at. The open world system opened the door for the modern Super games and the in game physics made you feel like you were in control of the popular Web slinger.

Number 3: LEGO Marvel Super Heroes

This LEGO game has all your favourtie Marvel characters and with the added fun of the LEGO style humor you can't go wrong. Just for added fun you can unlock the Guardians of the Galaxy! Unfortunatly the story is a bit short which holds it back a bit.

Number 2: Batman Arkham Series

These titles need to be judged together, they are one collective series of absolute brilliance. Asylym, City and Knight are all brilliant but the differently developed Origins lets down from a number 1 spot. The added Batmobile to the Knight game is really worth checking out.

Number 1: LEGO Batman 2 DC Superheros

The first title was really good and actually outsold the "Arkham" games but it was the second in the series that really took it to a new level. It really should be under a "Justice League" banner but I guess the "Batman" name sells better.

This is hours of fun, brillantly funny and playable by just about anyone.

Fallout 4 is Announced

Bethesda are doing their first ever E3 in June and ahead of that they placed a countdown clock to a major announcement on their

site.

Everyone is hoping that itcould be the new Fallout game that we've waited years for.

The frustration of the site even had some creative people use the recent Shia LaBeouf viral video as inspiration to hurry it up.

The teaser for Fallout 4 has been released, and I've got a feeling this could be the biggest game of all time.
