Now, the first RESIDENT EVIL since 2012’s RETRIBUTION is on it’s way, with original writer/director at the helm, and both Mila Jovovich and Ali Larter returning as Alice and Claire Redfield respectively.

And if you’re a fan of the series, get ready to wave it all goodbye, because it’s actually titled RESIDENT EVIL: THE FINAL CHAPTER!!!

(Although, to be fair "FRIDAY THE 13th Part 4 - The Final Chapter" was released in 1984, and they went on to make eight MORE films after that ..........so I’ll believe RESIDENT EVIL is classified UNDEAD until then).

the stupidest yet, but ever since filmmakers Chris Miller and Phil Lord made a worldwide smash-hit out of LEGO, producers have been on the lookout for the next big thing.

Way back in 2000, an attempt was made to make a DUNGEONS & DRAGONS film, but it was so bad and such a massive flop, it appeared the very people who played DUNGEONS & DRAGONS stayed away in droves. Well, the game with the six-sided dice is set to get another go at the big screen, with Warner Bros announcing they’re going to have another go at it. And as fantasy ideas go it’s not a bad one.

But pull my head back and pop out some candy this next idea certainly takes some getting used to. Envision Media Arts (whoever they are!) have just announced they’re going to make a PEZ movie. You know the little things that tilt their heads back and have sweet bricky candy treats expelled from their necks??

Apparently, that’s a movie now, God help us all. Speculation seems to suggest it's going to be a family-friendly animated movie along the lines of the LEGO blockbuster....(see what I did there?).

One things for sure: the PEZ collectors in the video below will probably flock to see it! (yes - PEZ Collectors!).

most people weren’t expecting a low-key drama that tells the story of the birth of America’s gay rights movement. Surely the director of films like 2012, 10,00 B.C, THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, WHITEHOUSE DOWN and GODZILLA would be giving us a film about aliens, or giant lizards…..or aliens fighting giant lizards and completely trashing well-known world landmarks to smithereens in the process???!

But no, the American Gay Rights movement is exactly what Emmerich’s new film STONEWALL is all about (trailer below) - so to say it’s a change of pace for the director is perhaps an understatement!

That’s not to say he’s turning his back on the sci-fi spectacle genre at all - currently filming the first of two sequels to 1996’s huge hit INDEPENDENCE DAY, Emmerich is then turning his attention to re-booting his 1994 film, STARGATE.

While STARGATE the film starring Kurt Russell and James Spader was moderately successful, it spawned an array of very successful television series, including Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe, and even an animated series called Stargate Infinity.

The STARGATE new film, not planned for release until after the next two Independence Day movies, is also planned to be the first of a brand new movie trilogy.

but now a new bankruptcy might sink it for good!

To be produced by and starring Natalie Portman, JANE'S GOT A GUN was originally set to co-star Michael Fassbender, but he had to drop out due to his commitments on the X-Men:Days of Future Past movie.

Aussie Joel Edgerton, originally cast to be the bad guy, was then switched to the role of the good guy, and they cast a new actor as the villain - Jude Law. But then the wheels started to seriously fall off the wagon when the director, Lynne Ramsay, droppped out of the project - opting to not even show up on the first day of shooting!

Then new director Gavin O’Connor stepped in. That led to Jude Law dropping out because he initially signed up to the project so he could work with Ramsay, not anyone else.

Law was then replaced by Bradley Cooper, but then he left the project after scoring the lead role in Clint Eastwood’s AMERICAN SNIPER!

Cooper was then replaced by Ewan McGregor, and everyone thought that would be that.

But now, the company distributing the film, RELATIVITY MEDIA, has filed for bankruptcy, and JANE’S GOT A GUN, planned for release on September 4th this year, has slipped through the gaps again, after previously being slated for release first in August 2014, and then February 2015!

The film is finished, the cast moved on years ago, but the fight to get it released continues…..

On a budget of just $18 million, it made it’s money back on its opening weekend alone and went on to make over $268 million - so it was only a matter of time before a sequel was green-lit, and now they’ve managed to do just that.

Of course, at the end of the original - SPOILER ALERT! - the couple at the centre of a war with a fraternity house next-door had made peace with their young neighbours, and it seemed they would all live happily ever after. But a recent Tweet from actress Chloe Grace Moretz gave an indication of what was to come in the sequel, not only confirming she'd been cast in the movie, but adding “it’s the girls’ time to take over”. The film’s title was then released to the world: "Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising", so it seems a Sorority House will be now moving into the quiet neighborhood and raising their own girl brand of hell.

Zac Efron, Seth Rogan and Rose Byrne all look to be retruning for the sequel, which will reach our screens on May 19th, 2016.
