Built around the idea of a single mobile suit achieving sustained flight under gravity, this unit abandons transformation and aerodynamics in favor of overwhelming thrust.

Newly molded parts faithfully recreate the Icarus Unit’s defining features, including thermonuclear rocket engines mounted on the shoulders and thermonuclear jet engines integrated into the legs, dramatically increasing the overall volume and presence of the Hazel Custom. The result is a mobile suit configuration that feels dense, aggressive, and purpose-built for high-speed aerial combat.

Unlike transformable units such as the Prototype Asshimar TR-3 Kehaar, the Icarus Unit achieves flight through brute force. High-output engines in the lower body and shoulders propel the suit into the air, while wing-like stabilizers connected to the shoulder units maintain attitude control during flight. A supplemental generator housed in the waist further supports the immense power demands of the system, drawing inspiration from the Hazel Custom’s movable booster pod.

Developed by Celestial Being’s Krung Thep engineering team in AD 2292, the Gundam Astraea was one of four second-generation Gundams created using the GN-000 0 Gundam as a base. These units served as testbeds for advanced weaponry and equipment, undergoing rigorous live combat evaluations to refine Celestial Being’s armed intervention strategies. The Astraea was the first of these Gundams to be completed, named after the Goddess of Justice, a theme reflected in the organization’s unwavering ideology. Starting March 10, Apex Legends unleashes the Gundam Takeover, a limited-time event that transforms Broken Moon into a warzone straight out of the Gundam universe. This is not just a visual crossover.
