Release Date: December 2026

Price: 8,910 Yen

INITIAL RELEASE

Release Date: July 2024

Price: 8,910 Yen

Premium Bandai announces the release of the new Black Knight Squad Rud-ro.A set. These kits use the same molds as Griffin Arbalest's "Emerald" unit and come in three colors: "Garnet," "Sapphire," and "Spinel," creating three different colored units of the Rud-ro.A.

The "Garnet" unit is piloted by Redelard Tradoll, the "Sapphire" unit by Daniel Harper, and the "Spinel" unit by Liu Shenqiang.

NAME ORIGIN

Rud-ro.A is named after the Hindu deity Rudra, which represents the deity's aggressive and destructive character. Rudra is associated with storms and violence, whereas Rud-ro.A represents great might on the battlefield. This approach emphasizes the mobile suit's function as a harbinger of devastation, echoing Rudra's stormy and awe-inspiring characteristics and complementing nicely with the film's themes of technology and human emotions in conflict.

Each of these mobile suits is outfitted with the groundbreaking "SEED Action System". This improved framework improves the suits' agility, allowing them to duplicate the poses seen in the "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom" film.

Each suit is outfitted with an anti-mobile suit heavy sword, shield, and high-energy beam rifle.

INITIAL RELEASE

Release Date: October 2024

Price: 3,190 Yen

As a successor to the iconic Zaku Warrior from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM, the Gelgoog Menace takes the stage as the new entry to HG Cosmic Era series. This kit shares most of its molds with the regular released HGCE 1/144 Lunamaria's Gelgoog Menace, provided with its standard colors.

Key Features:

Space Pack Equipment: This Gelgoog Menace is outfitted with a space pack instead of the atmospheric pack that came with Lunamaria's Gelgoog Menace. It is designed to enhance its maneuverability and versatility in space.

The wings of the pack are movable, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses and expressions, perfect for recreating intense battle scenes from the series.

SEED Action System:

Equipped with the innovative SEED Action System, the Gelgoog Menace offers enhanced articulation and flexibility. This system, combined with the included arsenal of weapons, provides endless possibilities for posing and display.

Included Weapons:

Beam Naginata Set
Beam Rifle
Railgun
Beam Shield

Several GELGOOG Menace units were allocated to the Compass peacekeeping organization to conduct combat tests. Lunamaria Hawke, a veteran ZAFT pilot, earned one unit, while Mars Simeon and Herbert Von Reinhard, former DOM Trooper Team aces, each received two. Lunamaria's GELGOOG Menace took part in several operations against Blue Cosmos, including defending Aldrin City with Shinn Asuka and the Immortal Justice Gundam.

During a coordinated anti-Blue Cosmos mission, Mars and Herbert were killed by the technologically advanced Black Knight Squad. Lunamaria successfully shot down a nuclear missile intended toward the Foundation's capital, but had to dive underwater to avoid a second missile's blast.

Later, during a mission to rescue Lacus Clyne and destroy the Requiem superweapon, Lunamaria's GELGOOG Menace was transferred to Hilda Harken, whose GYAN Strom was severely wounded. Lunamaria has switched to the Impulse Gundam Spec II. Hilda used the GELGOOG Menace to protect the Millennium from Foundation mobile suits, and she destroyed Redelard Tradoll's Rud-ro.A with the Destiny Gundam Spec II afterimages. Hilda's GELGOOG joined the Millennium in their assault on the Gullveig.

P-Bandai: FULL MECHANICS 1/100 Aile Calamity Gundam [REISSUE] - Release Info

noreply@blogger.com (GKC) — Wed, 14 Oct 2026 10:20:32 -0400

P-Bandai: FM 1/100 Aile Calamity Gundam [REISSUE]

Release Date: January 2027

Price: 6,050 yen

INITIAL RELEASE

Release Date: April 2022

Price: 5,500 Yen

From the official side story manga, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE, emerges the Aile Calamity Gundam in the Premium Bandai exclusive model kit releases!

The kit shares the main body with the regular released FM 1/100 Calamity Gundam, featuring some never before seen parts for its actual Aile Striker unit and weapon system. The whole model's structure was supervised and designed by mechanical designer Junichi Akutsu A.K.A. BEE-CRAFT who also is also known for his works in some Gundam series, including Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Astray, Gundam Build Fighters, and Gundam The ORIGIN series mobile suits.

The Aile Calamity Gundam, a part of the Atlantic Federation's second phase GAT-X series, was able to fly in the atmosphere because of the flight module mounted on the backpack's left and right flanks. Apart from a range of armaments fixed on the flying modules, shoulders, chest, and forearms, it was equipped with a portable composite weapon called "Adler" that could change into four distinct forms. Owing to its extended development period, the Aile Calamity proved to be a highly proficient air combat mobile suit, with specifications that surpassed the expectations of the OMNI Enforcer leadership. But because of its extraordinary performance, it was very hard to handle.

P-Bandai: Full Mechanics 1/100 Sword Calamity Gundam - Release Info

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Wed, 14 Oct 2026 10:19:35 -0400

P-Bandai: FM 1/100 Sword Calamity Gundam [REISSUE]
Release Date: February 2027

Price: 6,050 Yen

INITIAL RELEASE

Release Date: May 2024

Price: 6,050 Yen

The Sword Calamity Gundam, a mobile suit specializing in close-quarters battle, has finally made its dramatic appearance into the FULL MECHANICS GunPla lineup, causing a surge of excitement and anticipation.

A closer look at the Sword Calamity Gundam's exceptional design.

The Sword Calamity Gundam is another example of the fine attention to detail that is characteristic of the FULL MECHANICS series. Specializing in melee combat only, it is a masterfully crafted model that is based on the FM 1/100 scale Calamity Gundam model. Its striking orange and red color scheme represents its units 2 and 3.

The Sword Calamity Gundam is precisely developed, with freshly modeled parts for the shoulders, wrists, shins, and backpack joints that improve its overall appearance and functionality. The wrists have been revised to improve color scheme accuracy, demonstrating the designers' determination to capturing the Gundam's classic look with maximum precision.

One of the model's most notable characteristics is the revolutionary joint system for the anti-ship sword's backpack suspension. This technology provides an unprecedented range of mobility on many dimensions, allowing aficionados to pose the Gundam and its huge armament in a variety of dynamic postures.

The FULL MECHANICS Sword Calamity Gundam comes equipped with an impressive array of close-combat weaponry, each reproduced with new modeling to capture their distinctive designs and functionalities.

15.78m Anti-Ship Sword "Schwert Gewehr": This colossal sword can be mounted on the Gundam's backpack and features attachable beam effects for the blade and grip, allowing for a plethora of battle-ready poses.

Rocket Anchor "Panzer Eisen": Fitted on both forearms, the rocket anchors feature expandable claws and come with special joint parts and lead wires to simulate firing.

Beam Boomerang “Midas Messer”: These shoulder-mounted boomerangs include special beam effects and can be displayed in throwing action using the included action base.

Anti-Armor Combat Knife “Armor Schneider”: Housed in the shins, these knives offer a unique design and can be deployed alongside the shin armor.

To enhance its realism, the Sword Calamity Gundam kit includes identifying stickers with the personal insignia of "Ed the Ripper," alias "Edward Harrelson," who pilots this mechanical giant. This attention to detail deepens the narrative immersion by allowing builders to customize their model with authentic markings.

The Sword Calamity represents an evolution of the GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam, shifting from heavy artillery to a design optimized for melee engagements. This adaptation takes inspiration from the armament philosophy of the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02 Sword Strike Gundam, incorporating a dual-purpose main armament of large anti-ship swords that double as laser cannons. The arsenal is rounded out with beam boomerangs, rocket anchors, and combat knives, diversifying its close-quarters combat capabilities. While it maintains the original Calamity's energy cannon, this weapon has been adjusted to trade firepower for extended use.

To align with its melee orientation, the Sword Calamity underwent modifications to its fire control systems and electronic warfare capabilities. It also preserves the Trans-Phase Armor from its predecessor. Of the three units produced, the first Sword Calamity retains the base color scheme of the original Calamity Gundam on its unchanged sections. This decision was made as the first unit served a dual purpose: not only as a combatant but also as a testbed for further Calamity Gundam variant development under the 'Rebuild 1416 Program.' However, this initiative was eventually abandoned in favor of adopting the GAT-01A1 Dagger for future multi-role mobile suit development by the Earth Alliance.

The Sword Calamity emerged as a melee-focused derivative of the GAT-X131 Calamity Gundam, operated by both Naturals and Combat Coordinators, diverging from the use of Biological CPUs. Concurrent with the original Calamity's timeline, a trio of Sword Calamity units were manufactured. The inaugural unit was primarily for data collection and was subsequently archived. The remaining pair saw action, helmed by Earth Alliance elites Edward Harrelson and Four Socius under Rondo Gina Sahaku's command during the pivotal Third Battle of Victoria, significantly contributing to the Earth Alliance's triumph over ZAFT.

Post-testing, the second and third units were actively deployed. Four Socius, along with his Sword Calamity, were transferred to Orb's Sahaku clan by Muruta Azrael. An attempt on Cagalli Yula Athha's life, under Gina's directive, was foiled by Gai Murakumo in his MBF-P03secondL Gundam Astray Blue Frame Second L.

Harrelson's Sword Calamity engaged in the Second Battle of Jachin Due, where Harrelson decided to turn against the Alliance. Post-conflict, Harrelson defected to the United States of South America. Subsequently, the first unit was reactivated and assigned to Rena Imelia, tasked with pursuing Harrelson. Their confrontation ended with both units damaged and the pilots injured. Kaite Madigan recovered the battered Sword Calamity units for his collection, promising Jess Rabble that Harrelson's unit would be returned upon request.

Bandai has announced a new addition to its FULL MECHANICS lineup, the Boost Raider Gundam, originally featured in the official side story manga "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED ECLIPSE." Developed by the Atlantic Federation, this model suit comes with several innovative features designed by the talented mechanical designer Junichi Akutsu.

First teased at the promotional video released by Bandai Spirits. The Boost Raider Gundam first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Eclipse manga by Atsushi Soga and SOW.

The Boost Raider Gundam is a fusion of the advanced capabilities of the second-phase GAT-X series, integrating design elements from the Raider, Calamity, and Forbidden Gundams.

This model highlights:

Mechanical Gimmicks: True to Akutsu's designs, the model replicates intricate gimmicks and can transform into a bird-of-prey-like MA (Mobile Armor) form.
Weaponry:

Mimir Optical Weapon Unit: Located on the forehead, this anti-aircraft weapon is intricately detailed.
125mm Dual High-Energy Long-Range Beam Cannon "Schlack": Borrowing heavily from the Calamity Gundam’s arsenal.
88mm Railgun "Eckzahn": Originally from the Forbidden Gundam, this powerful weapon is now part of the Boost Raider's armament.
Zarastro Arm Claw: A new molding that combines a shield and claw, deployable on both forearms and usable as a hand-held weapon when the grip is extended.
Geschmeidig Panzer Energy Deflection Mechanism: A new waist-mounted equipment that can be deployed to the front of the mech, enhancing its defensive capabilities.
52mm Hyper-Velocity Cannon and M417 80mm/M2M3 76mm Machine Guns: Mounted on the calves and capable of deployment in MA mode.

The Boost Raider Gundam's transformation capabilities are a highlight, allowing it to shift into its MA form without part swapping. Various parts like the shoulders, legs, and wings are adjustable, and the main wing angles can be modified by sliding components.

C.E. 72 marks a distinctive period often referred to as the "two blank years." Some describe it as "peace on thin ice," while others call it "the calm before the storm." This narrative unfolds during a hiatus between two major wars, centering on the members of a shadowy group known as ODR, who put their lives on the line.

Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO Reveals New Trailer, Mobile Suits, and February 2027 North American Theatrical Release

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Thu, 8 Oct 2026 22:21:19 -0400

After more than two decades of waiting for the next chapter in the Gundam SEED saga, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM finally reached theaters in January 2024. The film went on to earn more than 5 billion yen (US$31 million at the time of conversion) and attract 3 million moviegoers, becoming the highest-grossing theatrical release in Gundam history. Now, that success is paving the way for a new film, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, which explores the events leading up to its predecessor.

Scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on January 15, 2027, SEED FREEDOM ZERO will receive a North American theatrical release in February 2027. The upcoming film serves as a prequel to SEED FREEDOM, revisiting the period between Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and the 2024 movie.

The screenplay was written during the production of SEED FREEDOM by Chiaki Morosawa, Shigeru Morita, and director Mitsuo Fukuda. According to Fukuda, the project brings to the screen a story that had remained on the shelf, with the support of fans helping it finally reach production. The story connects the events of SEED Destiny and SEED FREEDOM, giving audiences a closer look at what happened before the previous film.

The story takes place after the collapse of the Destiny Plan, which sought to determine people's futures based on their genetics. Cagalli Yula Athha, chief representative of the Orb Union, works to establish a new peaceful order through the global peace monitoring organization COMPASS. The teaser visual places Shinn Asuka, one of the main characters from SEED Destiny, at the center of the new film.

TRAILER

The English voice cast for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO has been announced, with Matthew Erickson, Matt Hill, and Sam Vincent returning as Shinn Asuka, Kira Yamato, and Athrun Zala, respectively.
