The Dra-C from Mobile Suit Gundam UC joins the HGUC lineup with a variant that blends its rough, improvised origins with the distinct aesthetic of the “Sleeves” faction. Based on the HGUC 1/144 Dra-C (0083 version), this release introduces subtle but meaningful updates that bring its OVA appearance to life.

This version is molded in a pinkish-purple color scheme that matches its look in Gundam UC, immediately setting it apart on the shelf. The design incorporates modified chest and arm sections adorned with the ornate markings of the “Sleeves,” adding a layer of faction-specific identity to the otherwise utilitarian mobile suit.

One of its most striking features is the unique right-arm Gatling cannon, seamlessly integrated into the arm unit itself. This gives the Dra-C a more aggressive silhouette and reinforces its role as a fast-attack unit. To further enhance accuracy, the kit includes foil stickers for the chest and wrist engravings, capturing the intricate details seen in the animation.

A dedicated display stand is also included, making it easy to showcase the Dra-C in dynamic, high-speed poses that reflect its combat style in space.

Originally developed by Zeon remnants, including the Delaz Fleet, the MS-21C Dra-C was a high-speed assault mobile suit built out of necessity. With limited resources, engineers repurposed parts from the MS-06F-2 Zaku II F2 Type and components from the Gattle space fighter, often using damaged units or surplus materials. The result is a machine that feels both resourceful and unconventional.

Its design prioritizes straight-line acceleration, allowing it to outperform even some space-use fighter craft in speed. However, this comes at the cost of overall mobility. Lacking traditional legs, the Dra-C relies on large propellant tanks and shoulder-mounted thruster pods for movement, resulting in weaker AMBAC performance compared to standard mobile suits. To compensate, its backpack, derived from the Gattle’s engine units, has been modified with added stabilizers and larger, movable verniers for improved control.

MS-21C Dra-C

In the "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn" OVA, the MS-21C Dra-C appears as a purple mobile suit employed by the Sleeves faction. The Dra-C, first shown in "Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory," is a high-speed assault space mobile suit created by the remains of Zeon to improve their combat capabilities for patrolling, reconnaissance, and sabotage operations. It is made out of parts from damaged MS-06F-2 Zaku II F2 Type mobile suits and Gattle space fighter bombers.

The Dra-C is noted by its exceptional straight-line acceleration and mobility, which outperforms normal space-use fighter planes. However, its mobility is regarded as inferior to that of ordinary mobile suits due to poor AMBAC (Active Mass Balance AutoControl) capabilities, which are caused by the design's replacement of legs with propellant tanks. These tanks, which are modified Gattle components with bottom thrusters, offer some agility and turning capability.

To solve its mobility restrictions, the Dra-C has additional propulsion pods on its shoulders, derived from work-use spaceships. The backpack for the mobile suit was modified from Gattle's primary engine modules to improve stability.

In its Sleeves configuration of the late U.C. 0090s, the Dra-C substitutes its standard 40mm vulcan gun with a more powerful 6-barrel Gatling gun, which also increases sensor range. This adaption, together with its legless design, provides better maintainability and operational cost effectiveness than typical mobile suits.

Premium Bandai has finally revealed the Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ version of the Dwadge, which will join the Master Grade line in April 2019 as its debut release.

Developed as a successor within the Dom lineage, the Dwadge carried forward the series’ hallmark design while introducing refinements that marked the end of its production line. Its equipment included head-mounted vulcan guns and external propellant tanks, which extended its hovering capabilities. The rear thermonuclear jet propulsion unit was improved with dust filters, and a back-mounted antenna was added to strengthen communication performance.

For close combat, the Dwadge retained the Dom’s heat saber while also supporting the use of a heat tomahawk. Its ranged arsenal expanded with a slightly upsized 380mm version of the giant bazooka, optimized with shaped charge ammunition for greater firepower. These upgrades cemented the Dwadge’s position as the Dom series’ most heavily armed and versatile model.

The molds and joints of the MG 1/100 Dom have been altered to accommodate Dwadge's design. With enhanced articulation and new molds for its joint pieces, this will undoubtedly look nice in your collection!

“Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway” is bringing some Mafty style into the summer season with the new “MAFTY's handy fan” and honestly, this might be one of the coolest practical Gundam goods to pop up lately.

Pre-orders officially opened today through Premium Bandai’s Bandai Collection, with shipping scheduled for July just in time for the hotter months. Instead of being another simple anime-branded gadget, this fan actually packs some surprisingly serious features into its compact frame.

The handy fan can be used in three different ways: handheld mode, desk mode, and hands-free mode with the included neck strap. The grille can also be adjusted smoothly from 0 to around 110 degrees, making it easy to point airflow exactly where you want it.

What really makes this stand out is the airflow system developed by Rhythm Co., Ltd. Using a dual-reverse fan structure, the rear fan pulls in air while the front fan pushes out a concentrated cylindrical airflow. For something this compact, it sounds surprisingly powerful.

Fans can switch between five airflow settings including rhythm wind, low, medium, high, and turbo mode. The controls are also pretty simple, with a long press instantly shutting the fan off without cycling through every setting first.

The long-awaited HG Gundam Sandrock Custom [Endless Waltz Ver.] has finally been revealed, and Gundam Wing fans are absolutely eating right this year. First shown during the 63rd All Japan Model & Hobby Show, the fan favorite mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz is officially joining the High Grade lineup just in time for the 30th Anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.

Bandai has equipped the kit with an all-new W-series frame that recreates the Endless Waltz design while giving the mobile suit improved articulation for dynamic action poses straight out of the film. The wide shoulder movement allows the Heat Shotels to swing naturally, making dual-wield poses look especially good on display.

One of the biggest highlights is the Anti-Beam Coating Cloak, which uses a newly developed soft material. Several Classic GunPla Kits Are Getting Significant Price Increases

Bandai Spirits has announced another major wave of GunPla price revisions, this time affecting a huge lineup of general retail kits along with several Gundam Base and event exclusive releases.

A large portion of the affected items comes from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series, including many classic HG 1/144 releases that longtime fans probably remember picking up for much cheaper years ago. Kits such as the HG Gundam Astray Red Frame, Duel Gundam Assault Shroud, Blitz Gundam, and Aegis Gundam are all jumping from 1,320 yen to 1,650 yen, marking a 25% increase across the board.

Some kits are being hit even harder. The HG 1/144 Buster Gundam, Mobile Ginn, Zaku Warrior, and Zaku Warrior (Live Concert Version) now carry a 30% increase, while the HG 1/144 Perfect Strike Gundam climbs nearly 30% as well.

The Gundam SEED Destiny lineup was not spared either. Chaos Gundam, Gaia Gundam, Abyss Gundam, Dom Trooper, and several Zaku variants now rise to 2,090 yen after major price bumps.

Meanwhile, Gundam X is taking a heavy hit on its 30th anniversary this year. The classic 1/100 Gundam Double X and Gundam Virsago now jump to 2,530 yen, while the 1/100 Gundam Airmaster Burst and Leopard Destroy received some of the highest increases in the entire list at 33.3%. Even the fan favorite G-Falcon Unit Gundam Double X now crosses the 4,000 yen mark.

Several HGUC releases from Gundam Unicorn and other Universal Century series are also included in the revision wave. The HGUC Jesta, Geara Zulu (Royal Guard Type), Byarlant Custom, and Kshatriya Rebeard all received notable increases, with the massive Kshatriya Rebeard now reaching over 8,000 yen.

Master Grade kits were affected as well, including the MG Strike Gundam + IWSP, MG Strike Noir Gundam, and MG Launcher/Sword Strike Gundam.

On the limited release side, Gundam Base and event exclusive items also saw substantial jumps. The RG Gundam Base Limited Sinanju [Metallic Gloss Injection] now rises by 1,100 yen, while the RG Crossbone Gundam X1 [Titanium Finish] received one of the biggest increases overall at +1,210 yen.

Price increases across GunPla have become increasingly common over the past few years, but this latest revision wave especially stings because it heavily targets older retail kits that many fans considered affordable entry points into the hobby. For newer builders, these changes may simply become the new normal, but longtime collectors will definitely notice how much these classic releases have climbed in price.

Bandai Spirits has announced a round of price revisions affecting a long list of Premium Bandai Hobby Online Shop GunPla releases, with several fan favorite kits receiving noticeable increases across HG, MG, RG, and BB Senshi lines.

The latest revisions cover releases from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, Gundam Wing Endless Waltz, Gundam X, Gundam AGE, Gundam 00, and even Code Geass kits from the HG 1/35 lineup.

Some of the biggest jumps include the HG 1/35 Lancelot Albion and HG 1/35 Guren Seiten Hakkyokuseiken, both increasing by 1,100 yen. The MG 1/100 Turn A Gundam/Turn X [Nano Skin Image] also saw one of the largest overall increases, jumping by 2,530 yen to a new price of 15,180 yen.

Several Unicorn-related kits were hit especially hard. The HG 1/144 Base Jabber (Unicorn Zeon Army Remnants Color Ver.) now carries a massive 30% increase, while releases such as the MG 1/100 Z'Gok (Unicorn Color Ver.), HG 1/144 Dra-C (Unicorn Ver.), and HG 1/144 GM III (Unicorn Desert Color Ver.) all received 20% jumps or higher.

Even premium RG releases were not spared. The RG 1/144 Unicorn Gundam Unit 3 Phenex (Narrative Ver.) now rises to 13,530 yen, while the RG 1/144 Strike Freedom Gundam Deactive Mode and RG 1/144 Gundam Astray Gold Frame Amatsu also received price bumps.

Meanwhile, longtime Gundam Wing fans will notice the MG 1/100 Altron Gundam EW climbing to 5,390 yen, and Gundam X collectors will see the MG 1/100 Gundam X Unit 3 rise again ahead of its upcoming reissue wave.

Price increases across GunPla and collector products have become increasingly common in recent years, especially for Premium Bandai exclusives and older molds. Still, seeing this many kits updated at once is probably going to hurt for collectors who have been waiting patiently for reprints.

The legendary Gundam X is making a powerful return in Master Grade form with the reveal of the MG 1/100 Gundam X Unit 3 from After War Gundam X. First appearing in the “After War Gundam X Next Prologue” story “ As Long As I'm With You,” included with the Blu-ray Memorial Box release, this upgraded version of Garrod Ran’s iconic mobile suit is finally becoming a fully realized GunPla kit.

The Gundam X Unit 3 is a restored version of the Gundam X Divider following the events of the 8th Space War. Using parts gathered from various former research facilities along with newly created components, the Gundam X was rebuilt back into its original form and designated as “Unit 3.” The upgraded machine reportedly achieves a 30% increase in operating efficiency thanks to a more efficient generator system, giving new life to Garrod’s beloved mobile suit.

In the story, Garrod pilots the Gundam X Unit 3 alongside Carris Nautilus and the GNR-0008C Gundam Nouvelle in order to stop bandits attempting to steal the medicine known as “Recoverin” from a train. The appearance of the Unit 3 immediately caught the attention of longtime Gundam X fans, especially since it brought back the original Gundam X silhouette with a fresh updated design.

Bandai has faithfully recreated the Unit 3’s updated body colors through molded parts, including the light blue sections featured on the shoulder armor.

One of the biggest highlights of this release is the inclusion of newly designed water-slide decals featuring fresh markings illustrated by Koichi Tokita, adding even more personality to the revived mobile suit.

Another major Gundam collaboration is landing this summer, and this one feels perfect for longtime Universal Century fans. Casio has officially revealed the latest G-SHOCK x Mobile Suit Gundam collaboration model, featuring a special RX-78-2 Gundam inspired version of the classic DW-5600UE.

The collaboration takes the iconic square-shaped G-SHOCK design and gives it a full Earth Federation makeover. The watch features a transparent clear bezel and band combined with a blue digital display that immediately brings the RX-78-2 color scheme to mind. Orange accent parts are also included throughout the design, helping recreate the classic Gundam tricolor look without going overboard.

One of the coolest details is found on the case back, which includes the EFSF (Earth Federation Space Force) logo alongside mechanical-style engravings that make the watch feel like equipment straight out of the One Year War. It has that clean military-mecha aesthetic that Gundam fans usually go crazy for.

Gundam’s 45th anniversary celebration just keeps getting bigger. ONKYO and FITEAR have officially revealed a brand-new collaboration featuring custom and universal in-ear monitors inspired by iconic mobile suits from the Universal Century era.

These are high-end in-ear monitors (IEMs), essentially premium earphones designed for detailed audio listening and custom-fit comfort. The custom versions are molded specifically to the user’s ears, which gives them a unique appearance similar to professional stage audio equipment.

The collaboration includes a total of 14 different designs split between Earth Federation Forces and Principality of Zeon themed models. Fans can choose from units such as the RX-78-2 Gundam, GunCannon, Guntank, Char’s Zaku II, Gouf, Gelgoog, Dom, Acguy, Zeong, and more. Every model features custom artwork and faction-inspired coloring directly integrated into the in-ear monitor shells.

The lineup is divided into several configurations including the K1, K2, and K3 grades. Buyers can choose between full custom versions molded to the user’s ears or universal semi-custom versions depending on preference and budget. Delivery times are estimated at around four months after ear impression submission for custom models and around three months after ordering for universal versions.

One of the most intimidating mobile suits from Mobile Suit Gundam X is finally making its return in modern GunPla form. Bandai Spirits has officially unveiled the HGAW 1/144 Gundam Virsago, the powerful mobile suit piloted by Shagia Frost, with a release scheduled for October 2026 at 3,190 yen.

The Gundam Virsago faithfully recreates the mobile suit’s signature Strike Claw extension gimmick, allowing the long mechanical arms to stretch outward for dramatic attack poses straight out of the anime. The HG kit also reproduces the abdominal deployment mechanism used when firing the devastating Mega Sonic Cannon, one of the most iconic weapons from Gundam X.

Bandai has additionally included the connecting gimmick for the optional Strike Shooters, giving builders more ways to display the Virsago in combat configurations. Alongside its signature armaments, the release also comes with a beam saber, interchangeable hand parts, and foil stickers.

Originally developed by the Government Reconstruction Committee, the NRX-0013 Gundam Virsago specialized in long-range destruction and aggressive close combat. Its abdomen-mounted Mega Sonic Cannon could unleash concentrated beams powerful enough to overwhelm enemy mobile suits or spread diffused blasts across multiple targets. Combined with its extendable Strike Claws equipped with beam cannons, the Virsago became one of the most dangerous mobile suits in the series.

Although capable of independent flight, the Virsago was often seen riding atop the NRX-0015 Gundam Ashtaron in Mobile Armor mode, allowing the Frost brothers to move quickly across the battlefield while conserving propellant. Like the Ashtaron, the Virsago was based on the GB-9700 Gundam Belphagor but did not utilize the Flash System.

With both the Gundam Virsago and Gundam Ashtaron now joining the HGAW lineup, longtime fans of Mobile Suit Gundam X are finally getting a modern revival of the Frost brothers’ iconic mobile suits.
