Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO Reveals New Trailer, Mobile Suits, and February 2027 North American Theatrical Release

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Fri, 09 Oct 2026 02:21:19 +0000

After more than two decades of waiting for the next chapter in the Gundam SEED saga, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM finally reached theaters in January 2024. The film went on to earn more than 5 billion yen (US$31 million at the time of conversion) and attract 3 million moviegoers, becoming the highest-grossing theatrical release in Gundam history. Now, that success is paving the way for a new film, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO, which explores the events leading up to its predecessor.

Scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on January 15, 2027, SEED FREEDOM ZERO will receive a North American theatrical release in February 2027. The upcoming film serves as a prequel to SEED FREEDOM, revisiting the period between Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny and the 2024 movie.

The screenplay was written during the production of SEED FREEDOM by Chiaki Morosawa, Shigeru Morita, and director Mitsuo Fukuda. According to Fukuda, the project brings to the screen a story that had remained on the shelf, with the support of fans helping it finally reach production. The story connects the events of SEED Destiny and SEED FREEDOM, giving audiences a closer look at what happened before the previous film.

The story takes place after the collapse of the Destiny Plan, which sought to determine people's futures based on their genetics. Cagalli Yula Athha, chief representative of the Orb Union, works to establish a new peaceful order through the global peace monitoring organization COMPASS. The teaser visual places Shinn Asuka, one of the main characters from SEED Destiny, at the center of the new film.

TRAILER

The English voice cast for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM ZERO has been announced, with Matthew Erickson, Matt Hill, and Sam Vincent returning as Shinn Asuka, Kira Yamato, and Athrun Zala, respectively.

With SEED FREEDOM becoming a record-setting theatrical release for the Gundam franchise, SEED FREEDOM ZERO will revisit the characters and events that lead into the film that brought the long-running saga back to theaters.

P-Bandai: RE/100 LM111E03 Gun Blaster [REISSUE]
Release Date: January 2027
Price: 4,400 yen

INITIAL RELEASE
Release Date: March 2019
Price: 3,780 Yen

Based on the RE/100 Gun-EZ from Mobile Suit Victory Gundam, this release adds a newly molded backpack to recreate the LM111E03 Gun Blaster and its distinctive Twin Tail booster packs.

Developed by the League Militaire for space combat, the Gun Blaster was essentially an upgraded Gun-EZ equipped with a high-mobility backpack. Its Twin Tail boosters increased thrust, mobility, operational range, and operating time in space. The boosters could also be detached and launched at enemies when needed.

Despite its space-use configuration, the Gun Blaster could still operate effectively on Earth. Since the Gun-EZ and Gun Blaster shared the same production lines, existing Gun-EZ units could also be converted to the Gun Blaster configuration with relative ease.

The Gun Blaster retained the Gun-EZ's weaponry, including its beam rifle, beam saber, beam shield, and beam bazooka. The November shipment also includes a special decal sheet created for the Mobile Suit Victory Gundam campaign, designed for use with 1/100-scale Victory Gundam series kits.

METAL BUILD Strike Gundam Engineering Edition Revealed for January 2027

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Sun, 04 Oct 2026 00:04:02 +0000

As part of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, BANDAI SPIRITS has revealed the METAL BUILD Strike Gundam ENGINEERING EDITION. Standing approximately 180mm tall, the figure combines die-cast alloy with ABS and PVC parts. Its monochrome finish is designed around the concept of “transparency,” using translucent elements to highlight the internal alloy structure and emphasize the engineering of the mobile suit. The figure also features detailed markings across its exterior and specially designed coloring to complement the monochrome presentation.

The set includes the 57mm High-Energy Beam Rifle, two Armor Schneiders, Anti-Beam Shield, four pairs of interchangeable hands, an interchangeable antenna, and a dedicated pedestal.

Priced at ¥19,800 yen, the METAL BUILD Strike Gundam ENGINEERING EDITION is scheduled for release in January 2027. The figure will first be offered at GUNDAM-Con 2027 SIDE MAKUHARI, followed by a Premium Bandai release and other sales channels.

GUNDAM XMX Reveals First GunPla Details, Spring 2027 Release Planned

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Sat, 03 Oct 2026 04:00:43 +0000

Bandai China has revealed the first details for its new GUNDAM XMX GunPla project at Wonder Festival 2026 Shanghai, introducing a new series aimed at the mainland Chinese market.

P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 Reben Wolf (Space Wolf Team Specification) [A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.]

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Fri, 02 Oct 2026 02:29:40 +0000

P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 Reben Wolf (Space Wolf Team Specification) [A.O.Z RE-BOOT Ver.]

Release Date: TBD

Price: 5,720 yen

The Reben Wolf is joining the Premium Bandai GunPla lineup with a new HGUC 1/144 release based on the Mars Zeon mobile suit featured in Advance of Zeta: Re-Boot. Priced at 5,720 yen, the kit is currently listed with a release date yet to be announced.

The AMX-014R Reben Wolf was developed through a Mars Zeon project centered on the AMX-014 Döven Wolf. The plan called for a modified version of the high-performance mobile suit that could be produced and delivered to Earth while keeping production costs under control.

To achieve this, the Reben Wolf shares several internal and external components with the Zaku III-R, a mobile suit officially adopted by Mars Zeon. This commonality helped simplify production and allowed Mars Zeon to produce the Reben Wolf in greater numbers without significantly reducing its combat capabilities.

The Reben Wolf also addresses some of the Döven Wolf's operational difficulties. The original mobile suit carries an extensive weapons package and Quasi-Psycommu systems, creating a powerful but demanding platform for ordinary pilots. Its high thrust output also contributes to its speed while affecting its maneuverability.

For the Reben Wolf, several weapons and propulsion systems were redesigned as optional equipment rather than permanently integrated systems. This allows the mobile suit's configuration to be adjusted according to the requirements of each mission.

The Space Wolf Team Specification represents another configuration of the Reben Wolf, adding a distinct equipment setup to the Mars Zeon-derived mobile suit. Its design combines the recognizable silhouette of the Döven Wolf family with components and systems developed specifically for the Reben Wolf project.

HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit - Announced!

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Fri, 02 Oct 2026 02:21:03 +0000

HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit

Release Date: January 2027

Price: 2,200 yen

The GX-Bit is finally getting its own GunPla release. BANDAI SPIRITS has announced the HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit for January 2027, adding the Newtype-controlled support mobile suit to the After War Gundam X GunPla lineup as part of the series' 30th anniversary celebration.

NOTE: The release status is still pending confirmation, including whether it will be a Gundam Base Limited or regular release.

The FX-9900 GX-Bit was developed by the United Nations Earth Army as a Bit Mobile Suit designed specifically for Newtype pilots of the GX-9900 Gundam X. Through the Flash System, a Newtype pilot could remotely control multiple GX-Bits at once, allowing the mobile suits to operate as a coordinated combat force.

Up to 12 GX-Bits could be controlled simultaneously, creating a formidable support formation around the Gundam X. The GX-Bits share a similar design with the Gundam X, including its distinctive head and overall proportions, while carrying a weapons configuration based around the Gundam X's own equipment.

Each GX-Bit is equipped with a Satellite Cannon, beam sword, and Shield Buster Rifle. The Satellite Cannon is particularly important to the GX-Bit's role, allowing the units to unleash devastating long-range attacks under the control of a Newtype pilot.

The GX-Bits can also coordinate their Satellite Cannons in sequence. Multiple units charge their cannons one after another before firing, allowing the formation to maintain a continuous barrage of satellite-powered attacks against distant targets.

Unlike the Gundam X, the GX-Bit exists specifically as a remotely controlled combat unit. Its lack of an independent pilot allows a single Newtype to command multiple units through the Flash System, turning a group of GX-Bits into a powerful extension of the pilot's combat capabilities.

The HGAW 1/144 GX-Bit will be released in January 2027 for 2,200 yen. The kit will also be one of the GunPla releases tied to the 30th anniversary of After War Gundam X.

P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 G-Line Assault Armor - Announced!

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Fri, 02 Oct 2026 02:16:39 +0000

P-Bandai: HGUC 1/144 G-Line Assault Armor

Release Date: TBD

Price: 3,850 yen

The RX-81 G-Line Assault Armor is finally getting its own HGUC GunPla release through Premium Bandai. The HGUC 1/144 G-Line Assault Armor is based on the RX-81AS Assault Armor RX-81, a close-range variant of the RX-81 G-Line that first appeared in Mobile Suit Gundam: Battlefield Record U.C. 0081.

The Assault Armor was developed for heavy close-quarters combat, with additional armor designed using equipment derived from the RGM-79FP GM Striker. The added armor significantly changes the G-Line's appearance, covering much of the mobile suit with thick defensive plating suited for direct combat.

3d model Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2

The RX-81AS is also equipped with a dedicated armament configuration built around its close-range role. Its heavier armor is paired with equipment designed to support sustained combat at short distances, giving the Assault Armor a very different loadout compared with other G-Line variants.

For situations that require additional propulsion, the mobile suit can mount a drum-type backpack equipped with seven built-in thrusters. The backpack provides additional thrust to compensate for the weight of the Assault Armor while expanding the mobile suit's mobility options during combat.

The G-Line series was developed as part of the Federation's efforts to create a next-generation mobile suit based on the RX-78-2 Gundam's performance. The RX-81 platform could be configured with different armor and equipment packages, allowing it to fulfill different combat roles.

The Assault Armor represents the heavily armored close-combat configuration of the series, with its thick armor and additional propulsion equipment setting it apart from the lighter G-Line variants.

The new HGUC 1/144 G-Line Assault Armor will be released through Premium Bandai for 3,850 yen. Its release date has yet to be announced. Additional product images and specifications are expected once the official Premium Bandai product page goes live.

P-Bandai: MG 1/100 Gundam X Divider - Announced!

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Fri, 02 Oct 2026 02:10:15 +0000

P-Bandai: MG 1/100 Gundam X Divider

Release Date: TBD

Price: 5,280 yen

BANDAI SPIRITS has announced a new Master Grade GunPla based on one of the most recognizable mobile suits from After War Gundam X. The MG 1/100 Gundam X Divider was revealed at the 64th All Japan Model & Hobby Show and will be released as a Premium Bandai exclusive.

The new GunPla celebrates the 30th anniversary of After War Gundam X and is priced at 5,280 yen. A release date has not yet been announced. BANDAI SPIRITS is expected to reveal additional product images and release details once the Premium Bandai listing goes live.

The Gundam X Divider is a heavily modified version of the GX-9900 Gundam X. After suffering a devastating defeat against the RMSN-008 Bertigo, the original Gundam X was left with much of its equipment severely damaged. With restoring the mobile suit to its original configuration no longer practical, Kid Salsamille rebuilt it using spare parts and salvaged equipment from his collection.

The resulting mobile suit was named Gundam X Divider after its new primary weapon, the Divider.

One of the biggest changes was the loss of the Gundam X's Satellite Cannon. With the system damaged beyond repair and no replacement components available, Kid replaced the original backpack with a new unit designed around the Divider's equipment.

The new backpack carries two large beam swords and two energy tanks that extend the Gundam X Divider's flight time. Each energy pod can provide up to 12 hours of operation. It also includes a storage attachment for the Divider, the mobile suit's distinctive new weapon.

The Divider itself is a multifunctional shield assembled by Kid from spare equipment. When mounted on the Gundam X Divider's back, its built-in thrusters allow the mobile suit to fly. It can also be held horizontally and used as a shield while providing additional propulsion.

The shield opens to reveal six sets of triple beam cannons known as the Harmonica Cannon, giving the Gundam X Divider a powerful ranged attack option alongside its defensive capabilities.

Kid also developed a new beam machine gun to replace the destroyed Shield Buster Rifle. The weapon was constructed around a pair of battleship-grade beam cannons, providing the Gundam X Divider with a higher rate of fire and greater firepower than its original rifle.

Despite the extensive modifications, the Gundam X Divider retained the Vulcan guns built into its torso.

Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3 Network Test Ver. Leaked Through SteamDB

noreply@blogger.com (GUNDAM KITS COLLECTION) — Tue, 29 Sep 2026 22:41:59 +0000

A new Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation title may be in development, as a SteamDB listing for MOBILE SUITS GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 3 Network Test has surfaced.

The listing, identified as Steam App ID 4946920, was first spotted on SteamDB on July 9, 2026, under the name MOBILE SUITS GUNDAM BATTLE OPERATION 3 Network Test. The listing received another record update on September 29, 2026, indicating that the app is still receiving changes in Steam's backend.

SteamDB currently has only partial information available for the app, but its assets include capsule and header images associated with the listing. The name specifically referring to a Network Test suggests that Bandai Namco may be preparing a test for the next Battle Operation title. However, details about the test itself have not been revealed.

Bandai Namco has not officially announced Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3, so the listing should currently be treated as a leak rather than an official reveal. The SteamDB entry also does not confirm whether this will be a completely new sequel or a major rework of the existing Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2.

The timing is particularly interesting, as Bandai Namco is planning a livestream celebrating the 40th anniversary of Gundam games later this year. While Battle Operation 3 could potentially be revealed during the event, there has been no confirmation connecting the two.

For now, the SteamDB listing provides the clearest indication that something called Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 3 Network Test exists within Steam's backend. With the listing first appearing in July and receiving another update in September, fans will likely be watching closely for an official announcement from Bandai Namco.
