Amazon has addressed the long wait for a casting announcement for its upcoming James Bond film, insisting it’s taking its time to ensure it gets the decision right.

Amid reports about various actors either being in the running or ruling themselves out for the converted role of 007, Courtenay Valenti, head of film at Amazon MGM Studios, addressed the elephant in the room at CinemaCon 2026.

As reported by Variety, Valenti said Amazon is waiting until “the time is right” to share more.

“Now, I know you’re all wondering when we’re going to announce who’s playing James Bond,” Valenti began. “Don’t get too excited. Please know that we’re taking the time to do this with care and deep respect. It is the dream of a lifetime for all of us to bring audiences this next chapter, and it’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly.”

“What I can tell you is this: when you pair one of the most beloved franchises in history with a world-class filmmaking team, including the brilliant director Denis Villeneuve, extraordinary producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman, executive producer Tanya Lapointe, and screenwriter Steven Knight, you’re setting the stage for something that’s truly worthy of the Bond legacy,” Valenti continued. “That film is coming, and when the time is right, we’ll have much more to share.”

A version of Starfield for Nintendo Switch 2 has been leaked by the Taiwan ratings board, suggesting Bethesda's space RPG will land on the console.

As spotted by Universonintendo, the listing shows a Switch 2 version of the game being approved for release just this week, though there's no mention yet of a formal release date.

Starfield just touched down on PlayStation 5, nearly three years after its original arrival on PC and Xbox Series X/S. Billed as the next big franchise from the makers of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, the space-based role-player has received a more muted response.

Bethesda has since launched various updates to add fan-requested features, though recently played down the game's latest big update as not being a "2.0" version of the game. "I think it’s the kind of thing where if you love Starfield, we think you’re going to love this," Bethesda development chief Todd Howard said last month. "It’s updates and things that change the game, not in an isolated way, but sort of meta."

Recent months have brought rumors of a Switch 2 version being in the works — though Bethesda itself has not confirmed anything publicly. With technical issues currently affecting players on PS5, Bethesda will likely want to ensure that whenever Starfield does finally hit Switch 2, everything is running smoothly.

Of course, Microsoft has published various other former console exclusives on Switch previously — such as Grounded and Pentiment. Bethesda's Indiana Jones and the Great Circle launches on Switch 2 next month, while Oblivion Remastered is also set for release later this year.

Back in 2023, Howard discussed the benefits of Starfield being an Xbox exclusive at the time, namechecking the brand association Nintendo enjoys with its first-party games. "I do also think people attach brands to certain games," he said. "When you think of Zelda you think of the Switch and I think there are times when that can be a real benefit."

The Highlander reboot movie was finally revealed behind closed doors at CinemaCon 2026, with footage showing Henry Cavill facing off against Dave Bautista’s Kurgan — and yes, there can be only one winner.

The presentation began with a message from Cavill from the set, where he’s still filming. Cavill, let’s remember, had to pause filming due to a leg injury he sustained last year while training for the movie, which delayed production to early 2026.

The footage itself, set to Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You,’ saw The Kurgan tell Cavill' Connor MacLeod: “When my sword changes history, you will have a front row seat.”

There was plenty of colorful action, with Cavill swordfighting in scenes that evoke the tone of the John Wick movies. That makes a lot of sense, since Highlander is helmed by John Wick director Chad Stahelski. Indeed, Highlander has been described as John Wick with swords.

As had been teased, this Highlander reboot is set in beyond present-day New York and Hong Kong, with Cavill playing an immortal sword master who’s been alive for over 500 years, training in all sorts of martial arts along the way. The CinemaCon footage confirmed Cavill’s character, Connor MacLeod, was born in 1518, and is forced into battle at The Gathering. In Highlander lore, The Gathering is a summoning that forces the immortal warriors to face each other in what's called the Game, leaving just one alive.

In January, Cavill posted a first look at his character in the Highlander reboot. The former Superman actor took to Instagram to reveal two images, below, of himself in character. As you’d expect from a Highlander movie, Cavill carries a sword. It looks like he’s in Hong Kong in the first photo, and New York in the second.

Hot off the heels of Project Hail Mary, Amazon MGM Studios revealed a glimpse of its future during its CinemaCon 2026 panel, and it included exciting updates from the newly named Spaceballs: The New One, Masters of the Universe, Highlander, Thomas Crown Affair, Beekeeper 2, I Play Rocky, and much more.

The presentation was unfortunately not streamed online, but IGN was in the room, and we've gathered all the biggest news below to ensure you don't miss a thing!

Spaceballs 2 Is Officially Titled Spaceballs: The New One

Spaceballs 2 is officially called Spaceballs: The New One, and we got a glimpse of this film at CinemaCon today with a sizzle reel.

We first see Dark Helmet's helmet lying in the sand, and then we see him fighting Yogurt with a five-pronged lightsaber. Oh, and Yogurt's shirt is sliced open and it reveals he has ripped abs.

We then got some jokes about "studios merging nily willy," and this led to Spaceballs actually getting a sequel, and then some more footage shows a Harry Potter parody moment with a bunch of kids, Dark Helmet pressing a red "REBOOT" button, two guys with a giant comb in the desert, and Lone Star with a big beard disembarking a ship.

Lastly, we see Dark Helmet and Colonel Sandurz going to the bathroom in a urinal and a Na'vi walks up next to them and begins to pee. Dark Helmet looks at his crotch and says, "I see you!" in Na'vi.

Josh Greenbaum, Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, Josh Gad, Lewis Pullman, and Rick Moranis were all on stage during this, and there was a running gag of Moranis trying to talk but he keeps getting cut off by the others.

We also hear Dark Helmet say, "Since the age of one, I've had two lifelong dreams. To steal the heir of Druida and to open wide on 4,000 screens! I want the theaters with dirty floors that haven't been cleaned since the first Spaceballs!" He is very serious and even threatens to have Amazon make a bid on Warner Bros. to make this happen.

Moranis finally is about to get the chance to talk, and begins to mention his childhood in Canada, but he is cut off by Mel Brooks, who says, "I wish I could be with you, but I'm seeing Phish at the Sphere tonight! Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money is not going to be the title, because I found the money!" Brooks then signs off with, "May the Schwartz be with you!"

Lastly, at the end of the whole presentaion, we got a sizzle reel that included an extra clip from Spaceballs of Josh Gad, who looks very much like Barf (maybe his son?!), saying, "The Schwartz Awakens!"

Spaceballs: The New One will be released in theaters on April 23, 2027.

Masters of the Universe Footage Shows the True Power of He-Man

The footage of Masters of the Universe began with Adam in the back of a cop car, and the police are mocking him, saying, "Cool sword, Highlander." The cop car is stuck in traffic and then we see people running away from their cars.

Beastman leaps onto a truck and roars, and then he slams down onto the cop car and rips the door off. The cops run, and Adam grabs his sword and also gets out of the way. Beastman catches him and knocks him down, he then sends him flying into a truck. He appears hurt, but Teela hurtles down and blasts Beastman with her laser staff and shoots him off the bridge."

We then get a moment of the pair recognizing each other, and Teela takes Adam back on a ship to Eternia.

Skeletor is next, and he says, "The universe shall quake in my shadow." He-Man then launches out on his flying bike, and Skeletor says, "You can pretend to be the hero, but without that sword, who are you?" Skeletor's henchmen try to take the sword, and we get a fun fight scene of everyone fighting each other. He-Man is seemingly outnumbered, but his incredible strength saves the day and he sends all the foes flying.

Masters of the Universe will be released in theaters on June 5, 2026.

Highlander Is Giving Us John Wick Vibes in the Best Way

The Highlander segment began with a message from Henry Cavill, who was looking quite disheveled. He isn't in attendance because they are still filming. He does, however, give us some footage, which is very visually dynamic and features a lot of red lanterns.

The footage is set to Queen's 'We Will Rock You," and we then get a look at Bautista's character (Kurgan!), who says, "When my sword changes history, you'll have a front row seat!" Cavill then fights a guy in front of yellow lit up screens, and we thought it evoked John Wick imagery, but even more heightened.

Project Hail Mary Crosses $525 Million at the Global Box Office

Mike Hopkins, the Head of Amazon MGM Studios, shared that Project Hail Mary was their biggest movie ever and that it just crossed $525 million at the global box office. Ryan Gosling was also on stage and confirmed the exclusive theatrical window for the film has been extended.

Thomas Crown Affair Footage Reveals Michael B. Jordan Is After Much More Than a Painting

Amazon MGM's CinemaCon 2026 presentation kicked off with a musical performance by Thomas Crown Affair composer Jon Batiste, who played piano while electronic music was blended in. After that, footage was shown of the film.

We see Michael B. Jordan sitting across from Adria Arjona, and Adria asks Jordan if "this billionaire thing usually works." He says it usually does and he likes taking risks if "it's worth it, and then we see him stealing art.

It then cuts to Kenneth Branagh talking about all the art this thief has stolen, and Jordan asks Adria why she left the FBI. She responds by saying, "I didn't want to be tied down." It's then revealed Jordan is planning something way more than a theft and that this job is personal.

Jordan then says to Branagh, "You think this is yours because you bought it? But it's not." There is then a big stunt at the end of Jordan being launched up the side of a building.

We then got to hear from the cast, and Jordan revealed he's been dreaming of mnaking this film for years and that he saw the Brosnan version when he was just 12. He liked that it was about a guy who is "smart, sophisticated, and always three steps ahead." He also watched the McQueen version and admired his effortless cool and edge. All of this led to him wanting to make this new version, but also to "give Crown a real mission, a real reason."

Beekeeper 2 Footage Shows Why You Shouldn't Mess With Jason Statham's Adam Clay

Jason Statham appeared in a video to introduce Beekeeper 2, looking all fancy and calling us in the crowd his "CinemaCon nerds."

As for the footage, Jeremy Irons' Wallace Westwyld begins by saying, "someone is coming to kill you." We then see tons of soilders ready for a guy in a Cybertruck, who is actually a decoy tied up by Statham's Adam Clay.

Clay comes in on foot and takes them all out and gets to Westwyld, who said the active beekeepers have gone rogue. The pair are after Agent Parker from the first film, and we then get a glimpse of Pom Klementieff character. We also learn the beekers have kidnapped the president, and Clay is the only one who "can stop this madness.

What follows is fun footage that is very over the top in good ways, including Clay killing a guy with a flamethrower and saying, "Don't be so hot headed!"

Beekeeper 2 will be released in theaters on January 15, 2027.

I Play Rocky

Peter Farrelly, Anthony Ippolito, AnnaSophia Robb, Stephan James, and Kiki Seto were all on hand to discuss how impactful Rocky was and how iconic it's become. However, the real amazing story is about the man who made it, Sylvester Stallone.

We then got to see some footage, and we hear Sly talking about how kids used to make fun of him so much he had to change his name to Mike, but Sasha told him to go back to his original name. He's also told by Matt Dillon's Frank Stallone Sr. that he doesn't have the looks to be a movie star, "not to mention you talk like you have rocks in your mouth."

We then see Sasha telling Sly to write a good part for himself, and Sly refusing to sell the script unless it has him as the star. He ends up taking a lower salary to become the star, and he is given a threat that if the production falls behind, he will be replaced.

The footage ends with Sly saying this is a movie about having a belief in yourself, and the final shot is a funny one of a guy asking Sly how long he's been boxing.

"I've never boxed in my life," Sly responds, to which the guy says, "Well, that's kind of a big note."

I Play Rocky will be released in theaters on November 13, 2026.

The Sheep Detectives Work to Solve a Murder Mystery

Hugh Jackman and Nicholas Braun stopped by CinemaCon to talk The Sheep Detectives, and many sheep puns were made, including "No one I trust more to catch a killer on the lamb." Jackman also discusses how this film will surprise you with how funny it is and how much it will move you.

In the footage, we see Jackman reading a mystery novel to his sheep, and they get upset when he doesn't finish. He says he'll finish in the next day but he is found murdered. The sheep have theories on who the killer is, and they take it upon themselves to solve the mystery. Oh, and apparently there is $30 million on the table, and this proves to be a pretty solid motive.

The Sheep Detectives will baa into theaters on May 8, 2026.

How to Rob a Bank Wants to Teach You the Art of the Crime Online

The footage from How to Rob a Bank begins with Nicholas Hoult leading a group of bank robbers who post heir crimes online. We also see Pete Davidson and John C. Reilly, who says they've robbed over 60 banks. It also looks like each of the robbers have crazy outfits and animal masks.

Reilly then notes that they have this hacker (Zoe Kravitz) who they should lose, and Kravitz notes, "There's just too much footage here for them to not have made a mistake." We also learn this next job is personal and see Hoult hold a gun up to Christian Slater's head and say, "Your bank killed my son."

Lastly, they carjack a guy who says, "Is this How to Rob a Bank? I LOVE your show!"

How to Rob a Bank will be released in theaters on September 4, 2026.

Your Mother Your Mother Your Mother Is Exactly the Film Mahershala Ali Wants to Make

Mahershala Ali and director Bassam Tariq started off this segment talking about faith and fatherhood, and about a loving dad who is also a hitman that wants to protect his community. Ali also notes this is exactly the movie he's been wanting to make and that he's been looking for something more physical.

The footage shows Ali's character dealing with a major loss in his life, and it cuts to John Cho with big hair and a cowboy hat. Ali is also talking to his daugthers, saying he "put food on their tables."

Amazon MGM Studio Has a Commitment to Release at Least 15 Films a Year Into Theaters

In an age of endless streaming options, Amazon MGM Studio has made a commitment to release at least 15 movies a year into theaters. It also confirmed it was on schedule to make this happen.

Universal Pictures and Focus Features took the stage at CinemaCon, giving us new looks at major upcoming films like Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day, Minions & Monsters, Violent Night 2, Focker In-Law, and Werwulf.

The presentation wasn't livestreamed, but we've got full coverage from inside the room. Here's everything that was shown and revealed during the presentation.

The Snoop Dogg Biopic Still Doesn't Have a Title

Universal's untitled Snoop Dogg biopic was the first film featured at the presentation, with Snoop himself showing up to perform "Drop It Like It's Hot." The film stars Jonathan Daviss as Snoop (who also joined his inspiration onstage) and is directed by Craig Brewer. The film is also produced by Brian Grazer/Imagine Entertainment, of 8 Mile fame.

"After my brothers told their story in Straight Outta Compton, it’s my turn," Snoop told the audience. The rapper also revealed that he has a bungalow on the Universal lot next to Spielberg, and joked that the fire department has been called twice due to all the smoke in the area.

Universal chairwoman Donna Langley also emphasized the Straight Outta Compton connection, calling this new film "the spiritual cousin" to that NWA biopic.

Christopher Nolan Talks The Odyssey

Christopher Nolan's hotly anticipated adaptation of The Odyssey was up next, opening with a sizzle reel of Nolan's previous films before Nolan appeared onstage. Nolan remarked that The Odyssey is a story that's fascinated generation after generation of listeners and readers for the last 3000 years. The director has wanted to film an epic movie in IMAX format since he was 16. He even approached IMAX with a request to create new cameras that could both capture the scope of the action and record dialogue.

Nolan also noted that The Odyssey is a story about family and homecoming above all. He praised the film's cast and crew, calling Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Tom Holland the central trio that anchors the film.

Nolan then presented some footage of the film, which was largely the same as the Trojan Horse IMAX sequence released a few months ago. However, this version contained new shots, including some very violent scenes of battlefield carnage and one with Charlize Theron as Calypso where Damon's Odysseus says he has no memory of his life before the Trojan War and can't remember if he has a wife and son.

Minions & Monsters: The Minions Get Meta

The presentation then shifted to animation studio Illumination, with The Super Mario Galaxy Movie's Jack Black stopping by to thank theater owners for their support. Illumination boss Chris Meledandri then introduced the next Minions movie, Minions & Monsters, which is set in the 1920s and focuses on a group of Minions in Los Angeles searching for a new master.

New Minions & Monsters footage was shown. We saw a group of cowboys on horseback pursuing a thief, only for Minions to roll up and replace the cowboys. The thief flees the Minions atop a train and tries to escape on a plane, but the Minions end up pulling the plane down and crashing in the streets of LA. They meet an aspiring director voiced by Cristoph Waltz.

Another scene shows the Minions being brought to a Hollywood studio lot. They dress up as a medieval army battling Viking invaders. As the film rolls, the Minions pull out various crazy weapons, treating the battle like a real fight. The Minions become movie stars, at least until the advent of talkies when it becomes clear they can't handle dialogue.

The Minions are then shown losing their studio jobs, but not all is lost. Their human friends James and Henry decide to make thier own movie, Minions & Monsters (it's all very meta). From there, somehow the Minions place the world in jeopardy.

Violent Night 2 Gets a Trailer

The dark action comedy Violent Night is getting a sequel, and the trailer debuted during the CinemaCon presentation. The trailer opens with footage from the original film, with David Harbour's Santa saying, "A few years ago, I had an experience.” Now, Santa finds himself on his own naughty list, at which point he loses his magic and plummets into a mall parking lot.

A child asks Santa why he's on the naughty list, to which he responds, "Maybe I killed too many people. I don’t know.” Jared Harris' character is shown ordering his underlings to kill Santa. A big fight unfolds in a kitchen, where we see Santa use a cookie cutter to slice off cookie-shaped chunks of skin and bakes another guy in an oven. Then Kristen Bell's Mrs. Claus joins the fray with a giant hammer and the couple starts killing together.

Focker In-Law Brings the Series Full Circle

Next up was the Meet the Parents sequel Focker In-Law, with Ben Stiller appearing and telling the audience, "I’m Ben Stiller. I am the actor who is not in The Odyssey. I was backstage just now smoking a blunt with Snoop and Spielberg and we were saying how excited we were to be up in this motherf***er.” Stiller also joked that it was always his ambtiion to turn Meet the Parents into a franchise with 15-year breaks between sequels. Co-star Robert De Niro then walked onstage to big applause, after which he and Stiller bantered for a bit. Stiller also joked, "We'll see you in 15 years for the next one, Project: Hail Focker."

The new film brings the series full circle, as Stiller is now the parent whose child brings home their significant other hoping to impress the parents.

The Focker In-Law trailer debuted during the panel. We see DeNiro's Jack putting Ariana Grande's Olivia in a lie detector, telling her, “I test all the potential family members this way.” Jack is impressed by Olivia, but Stiller's Greg isn't. Skyler Gisondo's Henry is shown wanting to propose to Olivia, but Greg doesn't trust her. The film is clearly pitting Greg against Olivia in the same way the original was Jack vs. Greg.

Sense and Sensibility & Werwulf Trailers

Two major upcoming Focus Features releases got trailer debuts during the presentation, director Georgia Oakley’s Sense and Sensibility and Robert Eggers' latest horror film, Werwulf. We'll see when either trailer makes its way online.

Werwulf is shot in the same aspect ratio as The Lighthouse. We see Aaron Taylor-Johnson's character foaming at the mouth as as we hear a sinister chant proclaiming "You are cursed." We also see shots of Taylor-Johnson and Lily Rose-Depp's characters as a family, Willem Dafoe speaking in what sounded like a Scandinavian accent, and Taylor-Johnson naked and transforming. Its all presented in a very Gothic, cold color palette. Fitting, as the film is set in early medieval England.

Steven Spielberg on Disclosure Day

As Stiller promised, Spielberg was there to promote Disclosure Day, and the director was introduced by star Colman Domingo. This is Spielberg's 35th feature film, but somehow his first CinemaCon.

Spielberg said the film is inspired by his long-held belief that we're not alone in the universe, which is in stark contrast to his father's assertion that we are the only lifeforms. Spielberg talked about UFOs being a uniquely American obsession and cited a 2017 New York Times piece about a pilot’s unidentified anomalous phenomenon sighting. Spielberg noted that while Close Encounters is mostly based in speculation, Disclosure Day is more truth than fiction.

“It is an experience, this movie," Spielberg promised. "All you need to get from the beginning to the end is a seat belt.”

The Disclosure Day presentation closed out with the debut of a new extended trailer. It appears that Emily Blunt and Josh O'Connor's characters were abducted by aliens as children and now share some sort of forgotten psychic bond. They're shown using complex math to figure out the alien conspiracy. The film shows shades of Close Encounters but definitely skews darker.

Belkin has announced the Stage Creator Kit, a bundled collection of creator-focused hardware that includes a telescoping tripod, a magnetic phone holder, and Belkin's compact set of two clip-on, wireless microphones, and a USB-C receiver. The all-in-one set costs $129.99, and is available now on Belkin's website.

The set is fairly complete, if your needs are few. The adjustable tripod is compact, but stands up to 5.5 feet with its telescoping legs fully extended. It's lightweight, and can support up to 4.4lbs, and very adjustable with pan, tilt, swivel, and leveling capability. It has a 1/4-inch screw at the top for attaching various mounts, too, including the magnetic, MagSafe-style one that comes with the kit for slapping something like an iPhone onto.

Belkin's wireless microphones are about the size of a small stack of quarters and come pre-paired with a receiver that you plug into the USB-C port on your phone or computer, whichever you're using. They feature built-in noise cancellation, transmit 24-bit, 48KHz audio, work "up to 100 meters in an unobstructed outdoor environment without interference," and Belkin says they'll last up to 36 hours on a charge, although that's including the case. The mics themselves offer up to six hours of use each.

I got a little hands-on time with the kit. I'm no creator with a capital C, but I do stream games from time to time using my phone as my camera and a Logitech Yeti GX, which I'd hold up against any of our favorite game streaming microphones. I found that the mics, which Belkin sells separately, are pleasantly plug-and-play, requiring no setup besides plugging the receiver into my computer, clipping the mic onto my shirt, and turning it on. You can attach the mic to something using magnetic plastic clips, although the attachment is weak; I wouldn't use them on clothes if you plan to move around a lot. Thankfully, they've also got a built-in, rigid clip that's a lot sturdier and just wide enough for sliding them onto something like a shirt. Alternatively, the mics have a hole for slipping a necklace chain through if you'd rather go that route.

I wouldn't use Belkin's wireless microphones for recording music, though. I tried that, too, and they were a little too muddy and clipped – but they're easily good enough for other, less demanding purposes, if you don't already have something better.

The adjustability of the stand made it a great replacement for the very janky setup I normally use, although it's so lightweight that I wouldn't feel good putting a nice DSLR camera on it, even one that's under the 4.4lb weight limit – it really feels mainly aimed at the portability of a smartphone. Still, in the event that the stand tips over, the company says in an image on the Creator Kit's page that it "includes standard 2-year coverage and up to $2,500 in connected equivalent coverage."

A worldwide theatrical run of Coyote vs. Acme is still happening, and we have the key art reveal to prove it. The film’s first poster has been released ahead of its inevitably, highly anticipated release this summer.

The new visual is simple but evocative, and shows Wile E. Coyote in shadow running from a massive wrecking ball that has the film’s title on it. It also highlights the movie’s stars Lana Condor, John Cena, and Will Forte, and confirms its August 28 release date.

The movie, which will be released by Ketchup Entertainment this summer, went through a lot to get to this point. It was originally produced by Warner Bros, but the company dumped the nearly completed film back in 2023 and decided not to release it. That decision put the public into an uproar, especially when it became known that the project tested well ahead of the puzzling choice to shelve it entirely.

From there, the studio decided to entertain buyers and ultimately sold the project to Ketchup for around $50 million in March 2025. The distributor also purchased another recent Looney Tunes title, The Day the Earth Blew Up, from Warner Bros last year and essentially saved that movie from what was almost Coyote vs. Acme’s permanent fate.

Alongside the poster, we have confirmation that a new trailer will be released next week. The clip below announcing this is well-timed, coming as it does on tax day. There's even a cheeky note to "check your write-offs" — a clear nod to Warner Bros.' decision to take a reported $30 million tax write-down on Coyote vs. Acme rather than release it.

But it isn’t just the fact that the film was scrapped that makes it one audiences want to see. The script was written by Samy Burch, who wrote Todd Haynes’ recent melodrama hit May December and was praised for that project. She was ultimately nominated for an Oscar for her work. The cast, particularly John Cena, feels like it’s a bunch of pitch perfect choices coming together, and the movie — what we've seen of it so far, anyway — ends up having a Who Framed Roger Rabbit? feeling as a result. And if they pull that off for the entire picture? Well, it might just be the movie of the year.

Coyote vs. Acme was directed by David Green and produced by Marvel Studios head James Gunn. It is based on a humorous New Yorker article of the same name by Ian Frazier.

Popeyes and One Piece have collaborated on a special menu and range of collectibles that have already taken the internet by storm. In fact, a special One Piece Bento Box given away for free to select customers is already being resold on eBay for hundreds of dollars.

As reported by Dexerto, this collab kicked off on April 13 at participating Popeyes restaurants across the U.S. and Canada, and it features a limited menu that includes the Luffy Bento Bundle, Luffy Bento Box, Gum-Gum Fruit Lemonade, and Chopper's Cupcake.

However, it's the collectibles that the true treasure pirates around the world are trying to snag for themselves. A limited number of official One Piece Bento Boxes were given away for free to select guests who purchased the Luffy Bento Bundle at six cities around the U.S., and this has caused scalpers to have a field day.

On eBay, there are currently 83 sold listings, with prices ranging from $150 - $1000. People are even trying to sell the packaging this bento box comes in for a more modest $12 or so.

If you don't wish to spend all that money on getting one of these for yourself, there is still a chance to get collectible keychains, T-shirts, and Bento Boxes online today, April 15, at shop.popeyes.com. Unfortunately, those will surely sell out just as fast and a lot of these items will probably join these Bento Boxes on eBay soon.

LEGO has unveiled a range of sets based on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, one of which appears to be setting up a key fight.

Among other upcoming LEGO sets is Spider-Man vs. Hulk Epic Clash, a 534-piece set that features a fully transformed Bruce Banner as his green alter ego, standing on top of a building looking rather angry indeed. It's priced at $89.99, and launches on June 1.

Of course, Brand New Day's first trailer confirmed that Mark Ruffalo's Banner would appear in the movie — though, officially, there has been no confirmation he will transform into Hulk, or battle with Spider-Man. Indeed, the trailer simply showed Tom Holland's Peter Parker seeking out Banner for advice, as the latter is now a university professor. Now, it appears these two former friends are set to fight.

While previous LEGO tie-in sets have not always corresponded directly to the final movie, there's plenty here that links what we already know of Brand New Day to the toyset itself. A product page specifically mentions the set featuring "six movie characters" including Spider-Man, Tarantula, Scorpion, Boomerang, Hulk and, amusingly, a "Hotdog Vendor."

Scorpion and Boomerang, in particular, appear accurate to their movie designs as seen in the previous trailer. A separate set, Spider-Man Prison Transport Chase, features both Tarantula and Tombstone (another villain we know will be in the movie). We also know the film includes some kind of prison break sequence (which may or may not also be linked to the events of Daredevil: Born Again).

Already, fans are coming up with reasons why Bruce Banner might fight Spidey in the film, with various suggestions including some kind of loss of control (again) of his Hulk alter ego. We already know that the film involves a DNA mutation plotline. There's also the suggestion of a character able to control minds (who fans strongly believe to be the mysterious character set to be played by Sadie Sink). Is poor Bruce forced to transform and fight his fellow Avenger against his will?

Spider-Man: Brand New Day launches July 31, when we'll know for sure. Until then, you can buy this LEGO set and role-play your own plotline.

Target has revealed a massive collection of Pokémon-themed clothes, accessories, and toys in celebration of the gaming giant’s 30th anniversary. The collection, which includes over 100 Target-exclusive products, was designed in collaboration with The Pokémon Company and will roll out in two phases starting on May 2.

A full lookbook of the collection is already available on Target’s website, where you can sort by product category or Pokémon type.

Target’s press release indicates that the exclusive collection will only be available for a limited time, but it does not disclose an exact end date. Instead, the collection's duration will likely depend on stock availability. The retailer will also be hosting in-person events and giveaways at select locations.

Amy Sachtleben, senior director of licensing and promotions at The Pokémon Company International, spoke on the ethos behind the new line of 100+ products: “This collection is designed to bring that sense of fun and adventure into everyday life, with merchandise that appeals to both longtime Trainers as well as those who recently began their Pokémon journey.” Every clothing design, for example, is available in both children’s and adult sizes.

Clothing does make up the bulk of the collection, and the pricier end of it, with a spread of graphic tees, reversible jerseys, and a Kanto-themed jacket. Besides collaborating with The Pokémon Company itself, Target also worked with "nostalgic" brands like Lip Smacker and Caboodles on individual products. Scroll past the clothing and you'll find a seemingly endless list of accessories, toys, and totes.

Other highlights include tumblers and water bottles, where you can either guarantee yourself a specific Pokémon or go for a 'gacha-style' mystery box. We’ll even get a full series of NatureWell fragrance mists, in case you ever wanted to know what Jigglypuff smells like.

The collection is releasing soon after a spread of Pokémon-themed sneaker designs from Puma. As of now, however, Target is the only US-based mass retailer to collaborate with the gaming giant. Other ways Pokémon has been celebrating its anniversary so far include new logos for every single Pokémon and the revamped release of Pokémon Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Fortnite is adding microphone vocals to its Rock Band-like Festival mode, just in time for a new season featuring jazz pop star Laufey.

The Madwoman singer will arrive in Fortnite tomorrow, April 16, at the start of the next Fortnite Festival season. Gameplay additions also arriving tomorrow will add the ability to sing along to any of the mode's many tracks using a compatible microphone on PC and console.

That same update also adds a Pro Drums option, allowing you to plug in a Rock Band 4 or compatible MIDI drum kit. And in another helpful tweak, you'll now be able to move while jamming in other Fortnite modes — rather than being locked into place while playing an instrument.

As ever, the new Fortnite Festival season comes with a Music Pass (included in the Fortnite Crew subscription) that'll include a Laufey skin and Madwoman as a jam track. A separate Laufey skin will also be sold via Fortnite's shop, alongside two other tracks: Tough Luck and Lover Girl.

Tomorrow's Fortnite update will also finally make the game's original Save the World PVE mode free to all players, and introduce the next story act for the game's main battle royale mode.

It remains a typically busy time for Fortnite and developer Epic Games, which is reportedly developing a major Disney extraction shooter mode for launch later this year, despite mass layoffs that impacted 1,000 employees last month. We subsequently spoke with industry analysts to learn more about what may be troubling the studio.

Get ready to heist again, because Margot Robbie has confirmed the premise and the setting for the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel film during an appearance at CinemaCon.

“Before Danny Ocean ever stepped foot in Vegas, two masterminds taught him everything he knows — his parents,” Robbie explained as she narrated a compilation of the 2027 Warner Bros. slate during the convention on April 14. “You’ll see them in their prime, and in our new movie, pulling off an epic heist at the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix.”

Back in March, the studio was eyeing Bradley Cooper to write, direct, and star in the project after two filmmakers — Meet the Parents director Jay Roach first, then Twisters director Lee Isaac Chung a couple weeks prior to the report about Cooper — left the project at different points in its development.

Cooper is now officially signed onto the project as writer and director, and will star alongside Robbie, presumably playing the parents of the franchise’s original central character, Danny Ocean, who is played by George Clooney in the 2001 original film. Ryan Gosling was originally slated to star alongside Robbie, but he seemingly exited the project in the fall of last year.

Robbie will also be producing the film under her LuckyChap label, and Carrie Solomon is set to write the script. According to Variety, the prequel is looking to start production sometime this year to hit a June 25, 2027 theatrical release date.

Though we’ve now got more details on this new addition to the greater Ocean’s story, it looks as though the information is still pretty limited on the other upcoming Ocean’s movie in the works. Clooney is helming a new sequel film that sees the original cast returning to perform another heist in their older age, but other than that — and the fact that Julia Roberts, Don Cheadle, Matt Damon, and Brad Pitt will return to star alongside Clooney — we’ve got nothing. Hopefully, time will tell.

Pokémon Go fans are wrestling with U.S. government geographic data to find a newly-released creature: Silicobra, the sand snake Pokémon.

This week saw the release of Silicobra into Pokémon Go, as one of the few species locked to a very specific real-world habitat. Outside of this habitat, your chances of encountering Silicobra seem to be close to zero — a situation seen before with Wigglet, the barnacle-like version of Digglet, that requires players find a local beach.

For Silicobra, though, the situation is even less obvious. Pokémon Go developer Niantic has advised players they need to head to areas it classes as "desert" — which is fine if you live near the Sahara, but not so useful if you're in Seattle or South London.

So, as is often the case, Pokémon Go fans are now banding together to try and work out what's going on. Niantic typically uses open-source location data to create its own overworld map, but again, Silicobra seems to be bucking the trend by using a fresh dataset not seen previously.

Over on top Pokémon Go reddit TheSilphRoad, players have spent the past 24 hours narrowing down the map system that Niantic may have used to program Silicobra's availability, with the U.S. government Geological Survey's World Terrestrial Ecosystems 2020 data currently the lead candidate.

To cut a long story and a lot of map overlay experimentation short, fans reckon they've now found the right combination of map tags to deduce where Silicobra will spawn, and crosschecked this with reports of where the snake has already been spotted, in and around the New Zealand capital of Christchurch.

Thankfully, it's mostly good news for those who don't live in an actual desert (or in New Zealand, for that matter) as it appears that Silicobra can be found — rarely — in sssspecific locations across most countries. But fans are still surprised at just how rare these map locations seem to be.

"My local community found a nest in London," wrote SilverGoon. "I went there on my lunch break and caught 11 within 20 minutes." IGN has cross-checked the location with the USGS map data tool, and found it fits the expected criteria exactly. (For those in the British capital, the location is Stave Hill Park, in Rotherhithe.)

"Copenhagen has not had any Silicobra spawns, and I do not see any areas tagged with 'Land Cover: Sparsely or Non-Vegetated,'" said Temporal_Bellusaurus, confirming that the USGS data once again fitted with expectations — and that Silicobra have seemingly skipped the Danish capital completely.

"Malmö in Sweden has Silicobras in one very tight location near Hyllie Station," they continued. "Looking at the map, there is a single spot tagged with 'Land Cover: Sparsely or Non-Vegetated' right next to the station. I cannot see any other places in Malmö with the tag."

For the dedicated Pokémon Go players out there, the USGS map data seems to be a good indicator to find whether there are any Silicobra near you, and TheSilphRoad thread has easy instructions on how to perform a data check for yourself. Whether anywhere nearby actually qualifies, though, is another matter.

"It spews sand from its nostrils," reads Silicobra's Pokédex entry from Nintendo Switch game Pokémon Shield. "While the enemy is blinded, it burrows into the ground to hide." Maybe this is why it's so hard to find.

YouTuber Jacksepticeye has admitted his involvement with the just-announced Bloodborne animated movie comes as a surprise, but has insisted he’s taking his producer role incredibly seriously, and will “fight so hard to make this amazing.”

Earlier this week, Sony Pictures announced an R-rated animated feature film based on the FromSoftware masterpiece, Bloodborne. While no details on the plot were revealed, it is expected that the movie will follow a hunter battling beasts in the city of Yharnam.

The Bloodborne movie is produced by PlayStation Productions, Lyrical Animation, and YouTuber and gamer Seán McLoughlin, aka JackSepticEye. Lyrical Media is co-financing the Bloodborne movie with Sony Pictures.

Now, in a follow-up video, JackSepticEye moved to reassure fans that he was taking the job incredibly seriously, and would do everything in his power to make the Bloodborne movie a success.

“That is literally a dream come true for me,” he said. “It's the biggest thing that I've ever been able to announce as part of my YouTube channel, as part of my career. I live and breathe FromSoftware games, but Bloodborne specifically is my top tier, highest echelon of game. I have a tattoo of the Hunter's Mark on my body. I have giant statues of the Hunter and Eileen [the Crow] behind me. I have a tiny lamp of the messengers behind me, because I absolutely adore this franchise. Bloodborne is like the thing that I wake up and play video games for. It is the top of the top.”

“It's the honor of my life to be able to say something about this,” he continued. “To be related to anything Bloodborne is just the coolest thing that I've ever been able to do. And I've done a lot of cool stuff in my career as a YouTuber, but this I think just takes the cake. This is the coolest thing that I've ever been able to announce that I'm part of.

“I'm so passionate about anything FromSoftware related in general, but Bloodborne specifically is like the thing that I am most passionate about when it comes to gaming. That's the thing that I am going to pour all of my passion, my energy, and my soul into to try and make this as good as possible. I am going to fight so hard to make this amazing.

“I know a lot of you are going to be surprised to hear that my name is attached to this thing. Again, I'm a producer. I'm not the writer or director of this. That stuff will come out later about who's involved. But as the producer of it, whatever is within my power to be able to do, I will do it. Costco shoppers have been caught up in violence after an early morning release of Pokémon cards resulted in police intervention.

Video footage posted on Instagram by PokéStreetz shows a messy scene at the Costco in Mississauga, Ontario with Pokémon cards spilled across the store's parking lot.

"A crowd of 30–40 people had lined up for a Prismatic Evolutions drop around 6:45 a.m. when someone threw coffee on a cart full of boxes, a car struck the cart sending packs flying, then drove over them before speeding off," reported local news source 905Hub.

Footage shows the crowd's subsequent reaction, as a car can be seen zooming out of the parking lot chased by multiple police vehicles. Tensions appear to have been flared by the high demand for Pokémon cards, which are often resold for hundreds of dollars in profit on eBay and Facebook Marketplace.

Last month, Canadian news outlet blogTO reported that the same location was the site of "chaotic" scenes and huge, jostling queues for a previous release of Pokémon cards.

Other Costco sites have also attracted trouble. In November, a fight broke out at the chain's St. Albert site, according to the St. Albert Gazette, with one man arrested by police for assault.

Earlier this week, local Canadian news source Fraser Valley Today reported that three pallets of Pokémon cards (more than 500 boxes) were delivered to some Costco locations, with customers standing outside from early in the morning to be first in line. At one location, the boxes then sold out within an hour.

In February, a New York Pokémon card store was the focus of media attention following a frightening armed burglary that involved its staff and customers being held at gunpoint. Nintendo subsequently acknowledged the incident by contacting the store with a complaint over its name, prompting it to rebrand.

It looks like Bungie's attempt to make Marathon a little more casual-friendly are helping.

Marathon’s mid-season update is now live, including weapon adjustments, new Reward Pass additions, Runner shell tuning, earnable Arachne shell styles, new equipment, and more. It also introduced the CyberAcme Runner Reinforcement Initiative (C.A.R.R.I.), a "new protocol from ONI that rewards solo Runners and coordinated crews for completing contract objectives and exfiling together, with rewards tuned to help newer and mid-progression players while still offering benefits to the Cryo Archive-veterans that walk among us."

Evidence of this is popping up all over the Marathon subreddit, with players sharing videos of friendly Runner encounters wherein combatants are helping revive downed players, share equipment and gear, exfil together, and even complete objectives.

Take this encounter, for instance. U/duffleberries shows a frantic encounter in which he was downed but later rezzed by the same team after responding to cries of, "Are you friendly, are you friendly, are you friendly?!" When he insisted that he was, the enemy team threw down a self-revive and a weapon for him, and then give him a countdown to get out of dodge. "We later found each other again at exfil and got out together for those sweet CARRI commendations," duffleberries added.

There's also this incredibly wholesome incident where players hang out, swap gear, and thank Bungie for the experience… before someone goes rogue and "introduces everyone to their gun," to collective groans and cries of "You sh**head. Why would you do that?!" The friendlier Runners then shoot off together to complete objectives and missions, including some that involve intentionally downing and reviving each other.

"C.A.R.R.I system has activated a light in me and players recently," added another. "In the five matches I ran so far, three out of the five had someone speaking, and two was literally pleading since I started shooting first — and out of those three matches it ended peacefully with us sharing loot and exfiling together so that we can get the commendations."

Admittedly, it's not necessarily the case for all players. "I’m over here having people res me just to down me again lmao," laughed one commenter. Another wrote: "I was hoping for this experience when two Runners approach the exfil I was gonna use. Instead they baited and killed me."

Yesterday (April 14), game director Joe Ziegler unveiled a new experimental mode coming to Marathon that hopes to make the experience a little easier by forcing players to load up with only the basic free sponsored kits. The mode, called Dire Marsh Sponsored, is now live and will run for around two weeks. Players can only enter if they're using a white-tier free sponsored kit, giving developer Bungie a chance to see "how the game plays out with low-fixed set gear conditions and caps, and now the zero to hero play works in low starting set gear conditions and caps."

Bungie has repeatedly said that while Marathon has a steep learning curve, over time, recovering from a bad loss gets easier. Part of the challenge comes from the very nature of Marathon as an extraction shooter. If you die, you lose all your gear. And not just what you looted while out on the battlefield, but what you brought in. And given how easy it is to die in Marathon, it can feel like a brutally punishing video game.

A new report recently claimed Marathon’s budget is over $200 million, and while player numbers have fallen significantly since launch, Bungie’s extraction shooter is allegedly not facing an imminent shutdown. Still, it's no surprise to see Bungie experiment with ways to make the game easier for casual players to contend with.

History buffs can reportedly look forward to multiple mythologies appearing in the next God of War from Sony Santa Monica.

The unannounced game will feature elements from various mythologies rather than solely focusing on a single setting — such as the Greek and Norse sagas seen previously. That's according to a new report by MP1st, which specifically mentions Chinese and Japanese elements being in development.

That same report also references online scuttlebutt over Mayan elements, too, though does not go on to verify this particular claim. Still, it sounds like there will be plenty going on in the next chapter of the God of War universe, which Sony is expected to unveil in the near future.

Last month, notorious video game leaker NatetheHate claimed that the game would center on the character of Faye, Kratos' deceased wife played by Daredevil's Deborah Ann Woll in God of War Ragnarök. IGN also understands this to be accurate. The leaker claimed that Sony's current plan is to unveil the game this year, ahead of a launch in 2027.

Previous whispers of the project have descibed it as more of an action-focused take on the veteran franchise, with a tease by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier that the studio's next project was "not a new IP but it might feel like one."

Had these leaks not occured, the game's announcement would likely have come as a major surprise for God of War fans amid a busy time for the franchise. February's PlayStation State of Play broadcast included confirmation that Sony Santa Monica had begun work on a God of War Trilogy Remake project, and there was also the surprise shadow drop of a side-scrolling spinoff — God of War Sons of Sparta — that arrived to a mixed response.

The existence of another major God of War project at Sony Santa Monica makes sense, however, considering the fact it's been nearly four years since the launch of Ragnarök, Sons of Sparta was developed elsewhere, and the studio's work on remaking the series' classic Trilogy appears to be just beginning.

Last month's announcement of a big PlayStation 5 price rise caused sales of console hardware to spike, with customers looking to buy ahead of the price increase kicking in.

Mat Piscatella, senior director and video game industry advisor at Circana, took to social media to say that U.S. weekly unit and dollar sales of PS5 hardware reached 2026 highs during the week ending April 4. The price rises came into effect on April 2.

Sony hiked the price of PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal, blaming “continued pressures in the global economic landscape.” The price rises were “a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide,” Isabelle Tomatis, vice president, global marketing, Sony Interactive Entertainment, insisted in a post on the PlayStation Blog.

“With continued pressures in the global economic landscape, we’ve made the decision to increase the prices of PS5, PS5 Pro, and PlayStation Portal remote player globally,” Tomatis added. “We know that price changes impact our community, and after careful evaluation, we found this was a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide.”

The standard PS5 with a disc drive went up by $100, as did the PS5 Digital Edition. The PS5 Pro, meanwhile, went up an eye-watering $150, to $900. The PlayStation Portal increased by $50. The price rises mean a new PS5 now starts at $600. When the standard PS5 launched back in November 2020, it cost $500.

Filmmaker Lee Cronin helped bring the Evil Dead franchise back to life (again) when his film Evil Dead Rise proved to be a hit in 2023, bringing the series back to the big screen after a 10-year hiatus. Now Cronin has his take on a different horror icon -- The Mummy -- coming out this week, even while not one but two Evil Dead films are in the works from different directors (Evil Dead Burn from Sébastien Vaniček and Evil Dead Wrath from Francis Galluppi).

We recently spoke to the filmmaker about his eponymous Mummy movie (look for that chat later this week), but we of course also had to ask him about his feelings on the state of Evil Dead these days. Along the way, he let slip that the lead actress of Evil Dead Rise, Lily Sullivan, has a cameo in his new film.

It all started when we asked him if he ever gets grossed out on set when putting together the extremely gory sequences in his films.

"I'll tell you a moment that definitely grossed me out on this set, and it's a small detail. Did you notice who plays Maud’s teacher [in The Mummy]?" Cronin said. "This is letting the cat out of the bag. So there's a very definitive Evil Dead Rise connection there. It's Lily Sullivan, who plays Beth in Evil Dead Rise. There was no obvious role for her in the movie. And I love Lily, and I'll work with her again, but she's like, ‘I have to be in this film!’ So I wrote this role of this very inelegant teacher, and her revenge was to save up that snot that pops out of her nose, which I didn't know was coming. And I did have a little bit of sick in my mouth when that happened."

Changing the subject before we all get a little bit of sick in our mouths, Cronin did reflect on the success of Evil Dead Rise and how it's a point of pride that, thanks to that success, there are now two more Evil Dead movies on the way.

"Yeah, two more! It is great," he said, while also clarifying the film's origins a bit. "It was quite a journey with Evil Dead Rise, because it's funny. It was never envisioned for streaming. It was Covid that put it there. There's always that piece of the story that's missing, which was it was a theatrical venture, and then Covid put it into the streaming box, and then it crawled its way back out when audiences saw it [in test screenings] and, thankfully, theaters reopened and everybody started to come back. And of course, I feel a certain bit of pride that I kind of reawakened [the series] and maybe went about it in a different way, and opened up a pathway of new characters in different worlds. So I'm very excited to see what audiences think of the new Evil Dead movies that are coming up in the coming years."

Cronin will have executive producer credits on the two upcoming films, but he's not talking when asked if the sequels will continue his idea of having the three books from Army of Darkness being the three established Necronomicons.

"I think audiences will have to wait and see!" he laughs.

Evil Dead Burn will be released on July 24, 2026, while Evil Dead Wrath doesn't have a release date yet. Lee Cronin's The Mummy, snot and all, will be out this weekend.

After hackers leaked stolen data allegedly revealing how much money GTA Online and Red Dead Online make for Rockstar Games, the share price of parent company Take-Two actually went up, suggesting the company was unaffected by its release.

Rockstar Games hackers ShinyHunters released the stolen data on April 13 — a day before they threatened to — and in the process revealed alleged revenue for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. But, crucially, no GTA 6 information has leaked online.

The stolen data was viewed by GTA Forums user Lexiture and reported on by Kotaku. It shows GTA Online allegedly generates much more money than Red Dead Online, which doesn't come as a big surprise given the difference in support Rockstar gives each live service. It also shows that PS5 is the platform with the most GTA Online players and revenue, with PC lagging behind even the last generation of consoles on both counts.

In a statement issued to IGN ahead of the leak, a Rockstar Games spokesperson insisted “a limited amount of non-material company information was accessed,” and stressed the incident “has no impact on our organization or our players.”

Rockstar's statement in full follows:

"We can confirm that a limited amount of non-material company information was accessed in connection with a third-party data breach. This incident has no impact on our organization or our players."

The stolen data allegedly revealed the huge amount of money GTA Online in particular brings in, even now over a decade after launch, although again, none of it should have come as much of a surprise given GTA 5 has sold over 225 million units worldwide.

Yesterday, April 14, Take-Two’s stock jumped from $202.26 to a peak of $207.78 before settling on $205.10, suggesting the leak had no negative impact on investor sentiment. Rockstar has yet to comment on the leak itself.

GTA 6 is planned for release this November on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S only.
