Discover Your Identity Beyond Politics

You’re feeling something right now. A political betrayal. It’s not just anger. It’s not just confusion. It was a political identity crisis, but that feeling is passing.

If you’ve been carrying the weight of who you used to be —

If you’ve been wandering, not lost exactly, but not found either —

If the phrase “politically homeless” landed somewhere deep —

You have a seat at this table and we are going to figure this out together. The decision to Leave MAGA is significant and you deserve a peaceful, academic upgrade to face the echo chamber of political commentary and Trump news today.

We’re going to walk through this together — not as experts and students, but as travelers comparing compasses. The MAGA Compass.

It’s betrayal.

You took the Compass in the first episode. You measured the gap. ICE in the schools. Groceries you can’t afford. Corruption at the top. Retribution against anyone who speaks.

Then you looked at your circle of influence. All those voices. All those opinions. You asked the question: “Who gave me this information?”

You started to see the Cloak of Deception — the loyalty, the fear, the identity — and what it’s been hiding from you. Your Sovereign Rewards. Your identity. Your relationships. Your finances.

And now what? Where does that leave you?

It leaves you at the threshold. And that threshold has a name.

This is the Wayfinding Station — the hub for Hero Thinking in Action. We are about to practice the 2,000 year old art of Rhetoric, Stoicism for Modern Problem Solving!

THE WAYFINDING STATION

The Wayfinding Station is not a place you visit once. It’s a practice. A daily choice to navigate by facts, not by fear.

You’ve already learned about the first two tools. The MAGA Compass tells you where you really stand. The Oasis Sextant tells you where the facts point.

Now we put the Sextant to work.

This is Rhetoric 101. The skill of separating what you were told from what’s actually true. And we’re going to use it to answer a question that might be sitting heavy in your chest right now:

Is this a political betrayal of the American Dream? I am going to ask you to consider a few facts, with respect and truth.

THIS IS RHETORIC 101 Video on YOUTUBE

Let me tell you what rhetoric actually is.

It’s not just words. It’s not just speeches. Rhetoric is the art of shaping what someone else believes — and the gang is better at it than you think.

Rhetoric works in layers, consider it like weaving the tale of deceit around a person. It wraps opinions around facts so tightly that you can’t tell where one ends and the other begins. It uses emotions — your loyalty, your fear, your identity — to make conclusions feel like evidence. It uses colorful words and images to make someone believe something false.

The Sextant’s job is to strip all of that away. To separate the facts from the opinions. To leave you with nothing but what can be verified.

And when you do that — when you strip away the rhetoric — you can finally see whether you were led somewhere true or whether you were used.

LET’S PUT THE SEXTANT TO WORK

I want to walk through a real event with you. Right now. Not a hypothetical. Not ancient history. Something real happening as we speak.

The administration has taken us to war with Iran. Our military is in action without authorization. This is an epic battle that deserves ancient wisdom and the Stoic lessons of Rhetoric analysis.

This is not a drill. This is not a talking point. As of today, we are nearly four months into a military conflict. A school, full of children, was bombed by our military. The Strait of Hormuz — through which twenty percent of the world’s oil passes — is contested. Iran has reasserted control. The US military is guiding ships through hostile waters. There may be a deal, or not, it changes daily.

So let’s run the Sextant. Five steps.

STEP ONE: STATE THE PROMISE

During his campaign, the president made a promise. He said it over and over. At rallies. In debates. On television.

“No more wars.”

“No new wars.”

“I will end wars, not start them.”

That was the promise. He looked you in the eye and said he would not do what every other president did. He would keep America out of foreign entanglements. He would bring the troops home. He would put America first — and that meant no more blood, no more treasure, no more forever wars.

That’s Step One. The promise is on the record.

STEP TWO: STATE THE FACTS

Now Step Two. Only what is observable. Only what can be verified by anyone — regardless of what they believe.

Fact one. In February 2026, the United States initiated military strikes against Iran.

Fact two. The Strait of Hormuz — probably the most critical oil passage on Earth — is now contested. Iran has reasserted control. Commercial vessels face the threat of attack. The US military is guiding ships through, but there is no guarantee of safe passage.

Fact three. Oil prices have surged. Analysts project crude oil could approach two hundred dollars a barrel before the end of this year. Gas prices in the United States are pushing past four dollars and thirty-five cents a gallon. The economic impact is cascading — inflation, supply chain disruption, a potential severe contraction.

Fact four. A ceasefire deal has been under negotiation for weeks. The president has repeatedly changed the terms. The back-and-forth continues. As of this recording, there is no final agreement.

Those are the facts. Not commentary. Not spin. This is verifiable.

STEP THREE: SEPARATE THE OPINIONS

Now let’s identify the opinions that are wrapped around these facts. This is the rhetoric — the noise the gang generates to fill the gap between the promise and the reality.

Opinion one: “Iran is an existential threat that must be confronted militarily.”

That is an opinion. It may be based on real concerns. But it is not a fact. It is a conclusion someone wants you to reach.

Opinion two: “If we don’t strike first, we will be struck.”

That is an opinion wrapped in fear. It feels urgent. But is it verified? Has anyone shown you the evidence that proves it — or have they just told you to feel it?

Opinion three: “Negotiation means weakness. Strength means war.”

That is an opinion. And it’s one the gang teaches because war makes good television. It fires up the base. It keeps you watching. But it is not a fact.

Now strip them all away.

What’s left?

STEP FOUR: MEASURE THE GAP

The promise was “no more wars.”

The facts are: military strikes. A contested Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices are surging toward two hundred dollars a barrel. Gas at four-thirty-five and climbing. A ceasefire deal that keeps getting kicked down the road.

That gap is not small. It’s not a minor course correction. It’s an ocean.

And the opinions — all three of them — were designed to fill that gap with noise so you wouldn’t notice how wide it is. The Cloak fills the space between the promise and the fact with emotions. Fear. Anger. Patriotism. Anything to keep you from staring at the empty distance and asking yourself:

“Did I sign up for this?”

STEP FIVE: CHART THE BEARING

Now you have a verified position.

The promise was peace. The facts are war and economic chaos.

You be the judge. You add it up.

No one does this for you. That’s the whole point of the Sextant. It doesn’t tell you what to believe. It tells you where you are — and then it’s your job to decide whether that’s where you meant to go.

The bearing is yours to chart.

THE EMOTIONAL WATERS OF POLITICAL BETRAYAL

Now let’s talk about what’s happening inside you as we do this work.

Because the Sextant gives you clarity — but clarity doesn’t feel good at first. Clarity hurts.

When you see the gap between “no more wars” and a three-month military conflict — you feel something. It’s not intellectual. It’s not abstract. It’s visceral.

It’s betrayal.

You trusted him. You voted for him. You defended him. You stayed loyal when your instincts told you something was wrong. And now you’re looking at the facts and realizing that the promise and the reality don’t just diverge — they contradict.

That’s not a policy disagreement. That’s a breach.

And here’s what I want you to hear: we understand that feeling. We feel it too.

One of the biggest assumptions the gang plants in your head is that people who leave don’t want peace. Or, that people who question him don’t love their country. That people who walk away are weak. That’s a lie.

We don’t want war. We don’t want corruption. We don’t want to watch our grocery bills rise while a small group of insiders gets richer.

That’s not weakness. That’s honor. Isn’t that the bedrock of the American Dream? I believe it lies within everyone, that’s why I give respect freely and am here today.

WHAT YOU DO WITH THIS

You have options.

You can carry on as you were. The Cloak is comfortable. It’s familiar. If you’re not ready to face the gap — that’s okay. Carry on. The Station doesn’t close. It’s here when you are.

But if the gap is too wide to ignore — if the betrayal is starting to land — then I’m here.

The Round Table meets every Tuesday. Free on Youtube. Live conversations. A place to practice the Sextant out loud, with people on the same journey. You don’t have to talk. You can just listen. But you’ll hear others asking the same questions you’re asking in the dark.

The full Wayfinding Station: Focus to Pivot course is waiting — every episode builds on the last. The Compass. The Cloak. The Sextant. And coming up: the New Declaration. What you build after you walk away.

The book is ready for you when you want the deeper dives and exercises.

In the next episode, we’re going to take the Sextant further. Three bearings. One fix. We’ll chart your “True North” positions and you’ll see something the gang never wanted you to see. The focus is becoming clear. The destination is yours.

But that’s for when you’re ready. When you decide that you respect your sovereign self enough to demand truth. When you see the benefits of honor.

It’s your choice. I’m here.

Continue the Focus to Pivot Course — the next episode is ready for you.

Or if not — that’s okay, carry on with MAGA.’

The healing starts today. Not when you’re ready. Now.

Have you been manipulated by MAGA? Here’s how to know…

Welcome back to the Leaving MAGA Guide: Focus to Pivot Course

In the first chapter, you used the MAGA Compass. Four questions to measure your satisfaction with MAGA policies. First, ICE in the street. Grocery prices. Corruption or abuse of powers. Retribution against enemies. Measuring those campaign promises to real action unfolding has brought you to our channel/website and our unique program.

We are offering the only opportunity to brush up on some academic skills, like Stoic Wisdom and Fact Checking, to improve your feelings about politics and leaving the MAGA party. The echo chamber of political commentary and finger pointing has your head spinning but you tried our MAGA Compass and now you are back for the second activity.

You measured the gap between your values and what the President, and this movement is actually doing.

And you landed on something. Respect and Truth — a new code. Not the gang’s code. Yours.

You liked the idea of that code and are back for more. Let’s keep moving — because the next step on this journey is about what’s waiting for you at the finish line.

Your Sovereign Rewards – things no one can take away.

SOVEREIGN REWARDS

Here’s what the MAGA gang never told you.

Every time you gave up a piece of yourself to stay inside the group — you weren’t just losing something. You were being robbed of things that were always yours. Things no movement, no leader, no gang can give you. And therefore — no one can take it away.

I call them Sovereign Rewards.

The first is your identity. Who you are when you strip away the slogans, the hats, the rallies. Your self-worth. Not what the group tells you you’re worth — but what you know you are. Your gifts, talents, passions and dreams, your essence.

The second is your relationships. The people who matter. Not the ones who stay because you agree with them — the ones who stay because they love you. The ones the gang made you push away. Or those people you fear losing if you walk away from the movement. Yes, this is a very complicated web of emotions to untangle.

The third is your finances. This one hits home. You’ve been paying for the gang — through donations, through tariffs, through corruption you didn’t sign up for. Every dollar that went to the movement was a dollar that didn’t go to your family, your community, your future.

This Wayfind Guide course is about reclaiming all three. Using Hero Thinking to build a future centered on your values and your purpose — not theirs.

This is not a small thing. This is an epic journey. And it’s already inside you, and it is time to tap into your potential.

THE OASIS SEXTANT

To reclaim your Sovereign Rewards, you need a tool that cuts through the noise. You know, a hammer to bust that information bubble, a laser to cut thru the echo chamber effect.

I call it the Oasis Sextant.

A sextant is what sailors used to navigate the open ocean. No landmarks. No GPS. Just the angle between the horizon and a star — and from that, they could find their exact position anywhere on Earth.

The Oasis Sextant does the same thing for your life. It measures the distance between what you were told and what’s actually true. It filters out political manipulation.

But there’s a first step — and it’s the hardest one. Information control begins with you and Hero Thinking gives you focus.

You have to stop the finger-pointing.

The “Me and Them.” The “we’re right and they’re wrong.” The endless back-and-forth that keeps everyone locked in place while the gang keeps collecting.

The first step of the Sextant is simple: stop and center yourself on your values, respect and truth. Put your emotional finger pointer down with confidence in yourself. Just for now. Just long enough to see clearly.

Focus on your values and work the sextant to chart your best life map.

Because as long as you’re finger pointing at them, you can’t look at what’s actually happening to you. Leaving MAGA is a life-changing decision to think for yourself and obtain sovereign rewards.

THE CLOAK OF DECEPTION

And once you stop pointing — you’ll notice something.

There’s a weight on your shoulders. A fog around your thinking. Something that’s been keeping you from seeing your own position clearly.

I call it the Cloak of Deception.

The Cloak isn’t one thing. It’s layers.

It’s emotional baggage — the fear, the anger, the loyalty that made you override your own instincts.

It’s assumptions — the things you accepted without asking because everyone around you accepted them too.

It’s expectations — the promises you were handed about what would happen if you stayed loyal, if you voted right, if you trusted the plan.

It’s wounds — the ways you’ve been hurt, the ways you’ve been used, the ways the gang took your devotion and gave you nothing back.

The Sextant’s job is to remove that Cloak. Strip away the emotions. Strip away the assumptions. Strip away everything except what can be verified.

Facts only. No spin. No story.

That’s how you navigate. That’s how you find your position.

THE SIMPLE TEST

Let me give you an exercise. It’s straightforward but it goes deep.

Take out a piece of paper. Draw a line down the middle.

On the left side, write your top three reasons for voting MAGA. Not the slogans — the real reasons. The hopes you had. The promises you believed.

And under each reason, write a few words about why you believed the candidate would actually deliver. What made you trust that promise?

Take your time. Be honest. No one sees this but you.

Now the right side.

For each of those three reasons, list every single person who voiced their opinion to you. Near and far.

The cable news host. The podcast you listened to every morning. The family member at the dinner table. The friend who sent you the article. The social media account you followed. The pastor. The coworker. The group chat.

Write them all down. Every voice that influenced what you believed. Every person you added into your thinking when you made this decision.

Now look at your paper.

Look at the right side — all those voices. All those opinions. All those people telling you what to think, what to fear, what to hope for.

Now look at the left side — your reasons. Your hopes. Your trust.

Ask yourself: How much of the left side came from the right side?

How much of what you believed was actually yours?

DIGGING DEEPER

Let’s go one layer deeper.

Under each of your three reasons on the left side, write down the assumptions or expectations that were layered into your thinking.

Not the promises themselves. The scaffolding underneath them.

For example — if one of your reasons was “the economy,” what were the assumptions underneath that? That tariffs would work the way they said? That prices would come down? That jobs would return to your town? That the people making the promises understood how any of it actually worked?

Write those assumptions out. Name them.

Because here’s what happens when you name an assumption: it stops being invisible. It becomes something you can look at. Something you can test.

And once you can test it — the Cloak starts to thin.

THE MAGA COMPASS — TODAY

Now I want you to sit with what you’ve written.

Look at the right side of your paper — all those voices. Look at the left side — your reasons and the assumptions underneath them.

And ask yourself two Compass questions. Not the ones from the first episode. New ones, for where you are now.

First question: Can you recognize the Cloak of Deception — and how it could have been used against you back then? In the past, what were you thinking compared to what you were being told, and being told to believe?

The emotional baggage. The assumptions you accepted. The expectations you were handed. The voices that filled your middle circle and told you who to believe in, Donald J. Trump. Not yourself.

Can you see it now? The way the deck was stacked before you even made your decision?

Zero to one hundred.

Second question: Can you recognize it now? Today, when you hear the news and see the real-world with clear vision, centered vision.

Not thinking back but now. Today. Right before your eyes. In the information you consume. In the opinions that still reach you. In the assumptions you’re still carrying.

Is the Cloak still on your shoulders — even a little? Even in ways you hadn’t noticed until this moment?

Zero to one hundred.

YOUR SUPERPOWER is at the LEAVING MAGA GUIDE

Here’s what no one tells you about seeing the Cloak of Deception.

It doesn’t make you weak. It doesn’t make you a fool for having worn it.

It makes you something the gang is terrified of.

It makes you someone who can see.

Recognizing the Cloak of Deception — back then, right now, in the voices around you, in your own thinking — that’s not a failure. That’s a superpower.

Because once you can see the Cloak, you can remove it. Once you can name the assumptions, you can test them. Once you can identify the voices, you can decide which ones deserve to stay in your circle.

And once the Cloak is off — the Sextant works.

You can find your position. You can measure the gap. You can chart the bearing.

Not lost. Not confused. Sovereign.

If that recognition is starting to land for you — if you can feel the Cloak loosening, even a little — then continue the Guide Course. The next episode is ready for you. We’re going to open the doors of the Wayfinding Station fully. We’ll put the Sextant to work on real events. We will practice the ancient wisdom of Rhetoric 101. Facts only. No spin.

And if this isn’t landing yet — if you’re not sure — that’s okay too. Carry on. The Wayfinding Station is always open when you’re ready.

The Round Table meets every Tuesday — free, live on Youtube, a place to practice out loud with people on the same journey. The book is there when you want the deeper dives.

But for now — just look at your paper. Look at those voices on the right side. Look at those assumptions underneath your reasons.

The healing starts today. Not when you’re ready. Now.

Need to find your identity beyond politics? Recovering from political betrayal and MAGA values hurting your heart today? You’re not alone — and you’re not broken.

Let me introduce you to my Wayfinding Station, a Tuesday night gathering for the politically homeless who are ready to stop wandering and start healing.

We don’t shame where you’ve been. We help you find where you’re going.

Built around The Compass — a direction-finding diagnostic — and the hero’s journey framework, the Wayfinding Station is where betrayal trauma recovery meets creative transformation. No debate stage. No cross-examination. Just a round table in a garden at night, and a seat with your name on it.

The Compass — Find your True North The Station — Tuesday nights, 7PM. Catalyst Power — Art as therapy. Creative healing practices. Your Treasury — Build creative income and personal sovereignty.

You have less than 18 weeks to improve your focus and confidence to pivot at the voting booth in November. We want you to have clarity and integrity on your side.

Real, honest and respectful dialogue on the very real topics, here’s what we heard in our comments from earlier episodes. Join us Tuesday nights and let’s start the conversations we need to save US all – US Politics 2026

The Political Betrayal TOPIC: 5 objections you’ve had to MAGA but were afraid to voice

“I have to admit it — there were things I defended that I knew, deep down, didn’t sit right.”

But are you really thinking… THIS isn’t going right?! The tariffs that raised your own grocery bill and everything else.

The corruption you’d never accept from a Democrat. The cruelty at the border you couldn’t square with your faith. The retribution talk that sounded more like a threat than justice.

And the moment you stopped speaking in the group chat — because you knew what would happen.

Here’s the thing. Would you accept any of this from your boss? Your pastor? A friend?” pause “So why are you making an exception here?

That voice you’ve been silencing — it’s not disloyalty. It’s the part of you that still knows right from wrong. Please know that you are not alone. The healing starts today — not when you’re ready. Now.

The door that only opens when you leave MAGA

“Yes, feel it and I’m so unsure. That sense that you’re standing at a threshold — and I can’t see what’s on the other side.”

You’ve been told the door only swings one way. That leaving means losing everything — your friends, your identity, your tribe. So you stay. Even when your gut says go.

But here’s what they don’t tell you. There’s a door that only becomes visible AFTER you step through the first one. It’s where your own values live. Where you get to decide what you believe — not have it handed to you.

That door doesn’t open while you’re still inside. You have to walk through the first one to even see it. It’s okay to change your mind. The Station is always open — start anytime.

Don’t let this be the hill you die on

“I have to admit it — I almost stayed too long. Almost let loyalty become the hill I died on.”

Think about what you’re really protecting. A movement that wouldn’t protect you back. A leader who’s already moved on to the next rally, the next crowd, the next batch of loyal supporters. And here you are — still holding the line.

Your children will remember what you chose. Not what hashtag you defended. Not what you posted. They’ll remember whether you had the courage to say: ‘That crossed a line. And I’m not crossing it with you. That’s not weakness. That’s the most sovereign thing you will ever do. Share your story in the comments. Let’s build a new community right here — based on the courage to find your way back to yourself.

A Cold Open Like No Other

The MAGA Exit is an 18-week series leading to the 2026 midterm elections. A political scientist and a reading teacher have a theory: if you teach critical reading skills and provide an economic alternative, a political identity loses its grip. Each week follows the election calendar — primaries, deadlines, and the final stretch — mapped to the psychological phases of gang exit and identity reconstruction. From The Wake-Up Call (Week 1) to The Voting Booth Decision (Weeks 16-18), we watch the clock together.

This is the philosophy. This is the architecture. This is the theory in action.

Journaling prompt: Write down today’s date and November 3, 2026. Write down one question about your political identity you’ve been afraid to ask yourself. Don’t answer it yet. Just write it down.

Let’s Jump Into It – the MAGA EXIT Countdown has already begun!

Welcome to The MAGA Exit. This is the series that picks up exactly where the Focus to Pivot course left off. In those six episodes, you built the toolkit. You learned the Compass values and rhetorical questions. You learned to sort fact from opinion from opinion dressed as fact.

Now the question is: what do you do with all of that?

You use it. You deploy it. Over the next eighteen weeks, we watch the clock together — week by week, primary by primary, deadline by deadline — all the way to the voting booth in November. This isn’t commentary. This isn’t reaction content. This is a theory in action. And I’m going to tell you what that theory is.

THE THEORY: The Political Scientist and the Reading Teacher

Here’s the theory. It comes from two places — political science and reading pedagogy — and I need you to hear both halves because neither one works alone.

The political scientist’s half: political identities function like gang memberships. Not metaphorically — structurally. The entry mechanisms are the same. The loyalty mechanisms are the same. The exit mechanisms are the same. The social costs of leaving are the same. And the economic dependencies that keep people inside are the same. Fear of being alone. Loss of identity. No economic alternative. Those are the three walls of every gang — and every political movement that needs you more than you need it.

The reading teacher’s half: people who are trapped inside a political identity were never taught to read the messaging that trapped them. Not because they can’t read — because they were taught to read at Level 1 only. Literal comprehension. Surface meaning. What did the text say? They were never taught Level 2 — inferential comprehension, what the text means between the lines — or Level 3 — critical comprehension, what the text is trying to do to you. And when you can’t read at Level 3, political messaging operates on you invisibly. You absorb the frame without ever seeing the frame.

Put the two halves together and here’s the theory we’re implementing: if you teach a person to read critically AND you give them an economic alternative to the group, the political identity loses its grip. Not because you argued them out of it. Because you gave them the tools to see it clearly and the freedom to walk away from it.

That’s the theory. That’s what we’re testing over the next eighteen weeks. And the midterm election calendar is our laboratory.

THE ARCHITECTURE: 18 Weeks, 9 Phases

I want you to see the whole map before we start walking. The hero’s journey has stages, and so does The MAGA Exit. Each week isn’t just commentary — it’s an invitation to decide. Each week has a political event on the calendar and a psychological anchor in the journey. We are watching the clock, and each tick brings you closer to the voting booth — which is the threshold. The place where the hero makes the choice.

Here’s the architecture.

Week 1, June 23-29. The Wake-Up Call. Primaries in New York, Maryland, South Carolina, Utah today. Louisiana runoff June 27. The clock starts. The wake-up call is the moment you realize the election is already happening — not in November, but right now, in primaries, in local races, in the machinery that decides who even gets to be on the ballot. If you’re not paying attention yet, this is the week that changes.

Week 2, June 30-July 6. Taking Off the Hat. Colorado primary June 30. Independence Day. The week where patriotism and political identity collide. What does it mean to love your country and leave a political movement at the same time? That’s the question. Taking off the hat doesn’t mean you stop caring. It means you start caring honestly.

Week 3, July 7-13. The Empty Hanger. Summer lull. No major primaries. This is the reflection opportunity — the week where the noise drops and you’re left alone with yourself. The hat is off. What’s in the closet now? An empty hanger. And the empty hanger is where the old identity used to hang. This is the week you sit with the absence and start asking: what do I put there now?

Week 4, July 14-20. 100 Days to Decide. One hundred days out from the midterms. The number that makes it real. Not abstract anymore. Not “someday.” One hundred days. This is the week we start counting down out loud. Every day from here is a day closer to the voting booth. Every day is a day to prepare.

Weeks 5-6, July 21-August 1. The Gang Exit Parallel. Arizona primary July 21. Georgia special election July 28. Two battlegrounds. And this is where we go deep into gang exit psychology — the real research, the real dynamics. Why people stay. What it takes to leave. The better offer. The economic alternative. We connect the political calendar to the psychological architecture of exit.

Weeks 7-8, August 2-15. Moral Injury and Red Lines. Primaries in Michigan, Kansas, Missouri, Washington, Virginia August 4. Tennessee August 6. Hawaii August 8. This is the fortnight of red lines. Moral injury is what happens when the group you belong to violates your values so deeply that you can’t unsee it. It’s not disappointment. It’s injury. And this is where we identify the red lines — the specific moments, the specific betrayals, the specific things that crossed the line from “I disagree” to “I can’t be part of this anymore.”

Weeks 9-10, August 11-24. The Family Rupture. Minnesota, Wisconsin, Vermont, Connecticut August 11. Alaska, Florida, Wyoming August 18. This is the hardest phase. Leaving a political identity isn’t just about you. It’s about your family. Your dinner table. Your group chat. Your Thanksgiving. The family rupture is real, and we’re going to talk about it honestly — not with solutions that sound good on paper, but with the real, messy, painful truth about what happens when you leave and the people you love don’t.

Weeks 11-12, August 25-September 7. The Christian Reckoning. Massachusetts September 1. Labor Day. For millions of people, political identity and faith identity are fused. The MAGA hat and the cross. This is the reckoning — the week we confront what happens when a political movement has co-opted a faith tradition, and what it means to separate the two. This isn’t anti-faith. This is pro-faith. This is saying: your faith deserves better than a political mascot.

Weeks 13-15, September 8-28. Critical Thinking Bootcamp. New Hampshire September 8. Rhode Island September 9. Delaware September 15. Three weeks of intensive training. Everything from 10 Days to Hero Thinking — the three questions, the five red flags, the close reading protocol, the fact/opinion sorting — deployed on the actual political messaging happening in real time. Live breakdowns. Real ads. Real speeches. Real manipulation, caught and deconstructed as it happens.

Weeks 16-18, September 29-November 3. The Voting Booth Decision. The final stretch. Early voting begins. This is it. Eighteen weeks of work, eighteen weeks of tools, eighteen weeks of reflection — all converging on one moment. The voting booth. The threshold. The hero stands at the pivot point and chooses.

That’s the architecture. Eighteen weeks. Nine phases. One destination: a decision that’s actually yours.

THE PHILOSOPHY: Why a Clock, Not a Debate

You might be wondering — why a clock? Why not just debate the politics? Why not argue the issues?

Because debates don’t change minds. I know that. You know that. Everyone who’s ever argued politics at a dinner table knows that. You don’t argue someone out of an identity. You can’t logic someone out of a position they didn’t logic themselves into.

But a clock? A clock does something a debate can’t. A clock creates urgency without aggression. A clock says: time is moving whether you move or not. A clock says: the election is coming whether you’re ready or not. A clock says: you can stay frozen, but the world won’t freeze with you.

I see people literally standing in the grocery store looking at things on the shelves and being like, I don’t know which one to buy. That’s the paralysis. That’s the nervous system in survival mode. And that paralysis is exactly what the political system counts on. They don’t need you to agree with them. They just need you to freeze. Because a frozen person doesn’t vote. A frozen person doesn’t decide. A frozen person stays in the identity by default — not because they chose it, but because they couldn’t choose at all.

The clock unfreezes you. Not by rushing you. By giving you structure. By saying: this week, we look at this. Next week, we look at that. Each week has a focus. Each week has a tool. Each week brings you one step closer to a decision that’s informed, deliberate, and yours.

That’s the philosophy. We’re not arguing you out of anything. We’re giving you a clock, a map, and a toolkit — and eighteen weeks to use them.

THE GANG PARALLEL: Why This Isn’t Politics, It’s Exit Psychology

I need you to understand something about the word “exit.” Exit is not the same as leaving. Leaving is an action. Exit is a process. And in gang exit research — the actual, academic, studied research — exit has phases. It has dynamics. It has predictable walls and predictable breakthroughs.

People don’t leave gangs because they suddenly realize the gang is bad. They leave because three things align. One: the moral injury becomes unbearable. The gang does something that crosses a line the person can’t uncross. Two: the person gets a better offer — a job, a relationship, a community that serves them better than the gang does. Three: the person builds a replacement identity. Not “I left the gang” — “I am someone who [new identity].” The exit has to be toward something, not just away from something.

The MAGA Exit follows the same architecture. Weeks 7-8 — moral injury and red lines — that’s phase one. Weeks 5-6 and Week 9 — the gang exit parallel and the economic alternative — that’s phase two. Weeks 2-3 and Week 5 — taking off the hat, the empty hanger, the identity reconstruction — that’s phase three. All eighteen weeks are designed to move you through these three phases before you reach the voting booth.

And here’s what I know as a reading teacher that the political scientist can’t tell you: the moral injury doesn’t even register unless you can read it. You have to be able to see the betrayal, name it, and process it at Level 3 — critical comprehension. What is this trying to do to me? Who benefits? What’s the missing voice? Without those questions, the betrayal is just “politics as usual.” With those questions, it becomes a red line. And red lines are where exits begin.

THE CREATIVE INCOME PILLAR: Your Treasury

Here’s the thing I’m not going to let go of. The economic alternative.

In the Focus to Pivot course, you learned that creative income is the exit ramp. That a person who can create value from their own intelligence doesn’t need the group to survive. That economic independence is thinking freedom.

In The MAGA Exit, that pillar doesn’t go away. It gets stronger. Because here’s what I know: the people who are most trapped in political identities are the people who can’t afford to leave. Their business is in the community. Their customers are in the community. Their network, their referrals, their social capital — it’s all inside the identity. Leaving means economic loss.

So throughout these eighteen weeks, we’re going to keep coming back to Your Treasury. The Quest for Sovereignty. Because the voting booth decision isn’t just about who you vote for. It’s about whether you’re free enough to vote your conscience. And you can’t vote your conscience if your conscience is bought.

Every phase of The MAGA Exit includes a creative income angle. Not a side note — a structural pillar. Week 5-6: the economic alternative as gang exit strategy. Week 9: mapping your intelligence to income. Week 13-15: creative problem solving as the anti-manipulation tool. Week 16-18: the voting booth as the moment economic independence meets political independence.

This is the theory. Political freedom requires economic freedom. Economic freedom requires creative intelligence. Creative intelligence requires critical thinking. Critical thinking requires reading skills. And reading skills require a teacher. That’s me. That’s New School Times. That’s the eighteen weeks.

THE STAKES: What Happens If You Don’t Read the Clock

Nobody wants to change. Nobody. They don’t like to admit that. People will go to their death holding on to their broken, wounded identity. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, because it’s truth. It’s proven. The brain would rather be right and miserable than wrong and free.

But here’s what’s different now. The clock is running. The midterms are coming. And this time, “I’ll think about it later” has an expiration date. November 3. That’s the deadline. That’s the moment the clock stops and the choice is made — by you or by default.

If you don’t read the clock, the clock reads you. If you don’t make a decision, the decision makes itself. And the decision that makes itself is: stay. Stay in the identity. Stay in the group. Stay frozen. Stay in the gang. Because that’s what happens when you don’t choose. The default setting is the current setting. And the current setting is the identity you’re in.

I’m not telling you who to vote for. I’m telling you to be the kind of person who chooses how to vote. A hero thinker. Someone who reads critically, thinks independently, and decides deliberately. Not someone who freezes. Not someone who defaults. Not someone who lets the clock run out.

THE INVITATION – VISIT YOUTUBE HERE

So here’s what I’m offering. Eighteen weeks. Nine phases. One clock. One toolkit. One community of people who are doing the same thing you’re doing — learning to read the clock, learning to read the message, learning to read themselves.

Every week, a new episode. Every episode, a political event on the calendar and a psychological anchor in the journey. Every episode, a journaling prompt. Every episode, a step closer to the voting booth.

This isn’t about party. This isn’t about left or right. This is about whether you’re going to live as a person who thinks for yourself or a person who gets thought for. And the clock is ticking. Right now. Whether you start or not.

So. Think about this. Start journaling, write your way to your best self.

JOURNALING PROMPT

Write down the date. Today. Now write down November 3, 2026. That’s the space between now and the voting booth. That’s your eighteen weeks.

Now write down one thing you know you need to confront before November. One thing you’ve been avoiding. One question you’ve been afraid to ask yourself about your political identity. Don’t answer it yet. Just write it down. Put it on the page. The question is the beginning. The answer comes over the next eighteen weeks.

And then write this down: “I am watching the clock. I am reading the message. I am choosing.”

Join our community. Smart decisions start here.

EPISODE 1: The MAGA Compass – 4 Questions to Reveal a Political Betrayal

Here’s a truth that doesn’t get spoken out loud in the circles you used to trust.

You’re anxious. Not the ordinary kind. The kind that sits in your chest at 2 AM and won’t name itself.

Perhaps you were one of them. You wore the hat. You went to the rallies. You truly believed you were on the right side of history. You wanted your country back. You wanted strength. You wanted someone who finally said what you were thinking.

But something shifted.

Maybe it was when you saw the images from the raids. Maybe it was when the prices at the grocery store kept climbing and the promises didn’t match the receipts. Maybe it was when you realized that questioning anything — anything at all — meant you were suddenly the enemy.

A slow, gnawing feeling started to grow. A gap between what you’ve been told to believe and what you’re seeing with your own two eyes. The political division feeds on fear.

That feeling has a name. It’s not a weakness. It’s not disloyalty. It’s your compass trying to wake you up. A political awakening is beginning and life after MAGA seems impossible.

Please know that you are not alone. And it’s okay to change your mind. We all see an optometrist for new glasses, why not check yours for a better focus on what’s truly important in life.

I’m an award-winning teacher, an author, and I’ve spent years studying what happens when good people realize one bad decision is turning into a nightmare. That panic of life running off the rails, things are not going the way they are “supposed to”. The ability to stop and think for yourself, is my gift to you.

This is the Wayfinding Station. And today, we’re opening the Focus to Pivot Course for you to test the tools and check yourself. It is time to tap into your potential, and kick-if off right now!

HERO THINKING

Before we get to the Compass, I need to give you a framework. Because what you’re experiencing right now — the confusion, the isolation, the fear of what comes next — that’s not a breakdown. It’s the beginning of something new and I hope you will understand how powerful it is, like a booster rocket!

I call it Hero Thinking. It is about a mindset, strategic, a formula so powerful it breaks anything apart. The Hero knows when to turn up the thinking skills for the difficult tasks ahead. You know, the hmmm of a high performance machine and here’s why.

There are two ways to respond when the gap opens up between what you believed and what you see.

The first is Defensive Motivation. You double down. You tell yourself the immigration raids are necessary. You tell yourself the prices will come down eventually. You scroll past the headlines about corruption and think — everyone does it. You silence the voice in your head that asks, “Would I accept this behavior from my boss? My pastor? A friend?”

Defensive motivation is what keeps people inside a gang. It’s the energy of protecting the group at all costs — even when the group is hurting you. The fear takes hold and you are stuck in survival mode. It probably feels like a political identity crisis.

The second is Hero Motivation. This is harder but worth it. Because it means facing the possibility that you were wrong. It means letting yourself ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask. It means choosing truth over comfort and justice over belonging.

Hero Thinking doesn’t mean you switch sides. It means you switch methods. You stop inheriting your opinions and start verifying them. You stop defending the gang and start defending your values. You start using your super powers of thinking!

That’s where the MAGA Compass comes in.

THE MAGA COMPASS – TRY IT YOURSELF HERE

The MAGA Compass is a confidential diagnostic tool. Four questions. No one sees your answers but you. Each question is scored from zero to one hundred, measuring the MAGA values and campaign promises to the reality unfolding today in the summer before the Midterms.

Zero means this aligns perfectly with your/MAGA values. One hundred means this is a complete violation of everything you believe. I suggest you begin centering yourself with Respect and Truth if you begin the MAGA EXIT and leave the party.

No judgment. No right answers. Just the gap between where you thought you were headed and where you’re actually pointed. (WARNING: Be sure you know which way these points are evaluated in different versions of this activity. It is meant to be a pain-o-meter for you to use.)

FOUR QUESTIONS – TRUMP PROMISES VS. REALITY

First question. ICE raids on schools and churches.

The administration has authorized immigration enforcement to enter schools, hospitals, and houses of worship. Clergy members are being asked to violate the sanctity of their confessionals. The campaign promise of immigration are the first examples of MAGA values in action.

Ask yourself: Is this the America I signed up for? Does this align with the values I teach my own children about compassion, about dignity, about the rule of law?

Zero to one hundred. Write it down.

Second question. The cost of groceries and the tariff promises.

You were told tariffs would bring jobs back. You were told prices at the store would get better. Instead, deportations have gutted the agricultural workforce. Supply chains are fractured. Your grocery bill keeps climbing and the explanations keep changing.

A voice in your head asks, “Who is actually benefiting from this?”

Zero to one hundred. How much has this promise delivered for your family?

Third question. Corruption at the highest levels.

The White House has been selling access. Government contracts are going to insiders. The same people who said they would drain the swamp are filling it with their own donors and allies — and you’re paying for it.

Ask yourself putting truth over loyalty: If the other side did this, what would you call it?

Zero to one hundred.

Fourth question. Retribution against critics.

Journalists, judges, former allies who speak out — they’re being targeted. Not debated. Targeted. Arrested. Threatened. The message is clear: total agreement is the price of admission.

That’s not a political movement. That’s a gang loyalty test in a local primary election.

And in a gang, the most dangerous thing you can do is ask a question.

Zero to one hundred.

READING YOUR COMPASS

Look at your scores. This is your first political self assessment.

If you scored low across all four — below twenty — then this movement is still aligned with your values. Carry on.

But if your scores are high. If you found yourself at forty, sixty, eighty — or if any single question hit you at one hundred.

Then your compass is telling you something. You’re off course. And the gap between your values and your reality — that gap is the most powerful thing you own.

Because once you see the gap, you can’t unsee it. And once you name it, you take the first step toward finding your way to your true best self. The glasses become 20/20 and a fog will begin to clear.

This is not about becoming a Democrat. This is not about switching teams. This is about reclaiming something the gang took from you without you even noticing: your ability to think for yourself.

Independent thinking and critical thinking skills keep your eyesight in focus.

In this first episode of the Focus to Pivot, you measured the distance between what you believe and what you’re being asked to accept. Hopefully your vision will become more clear as you practice scoring yourself in the next few days.

In the next episode, we’re going to talk about why that gap was so hard to see in the first place.

There’s a Cloak of Deception that wraps around every gang. We’re going to pull that cloak back — and map the Sovereign Rewards that have been hidden from you this whole time. I hope you come with me on this personal freedom journey. It is going to be liberating for everybody.

The full Wayfinding Guide: Focus to Pivot course is available on our Youtube Channel. The Station is always open — start anytime. The Round Table meets every Tuesday — free, live on Youtube, and where we practice Hero Thinking together. The book is ready for you too – visit AMAZON.

But for right now — just sit with your scores. No judgment. No panic. This could be your first personal growth journey and take time finding your true self. You set the pace.

The improved vision and focus starts today. Not when you’re ready. Now. I invite you to visit our website for more details, private coaching and merchandise. JOY WEST PRESS is a research and academic method of achievement. We believe anything is possible, testing that theory over the next 18 weeks – the MAGA EXIT COUNTDOWN – TUESDAY NIGHTS on our YOUTUBE channel – YEA, GO and SUBSCRIBE!!

THE PROMISE

You voted for something you believed in. You wore the hat. You went to the rallies. You trusted the people at the top.

But something changed.

Maybe it was the prices. Maybe it was the wars that didn’t end. Maybe it was watching people get rich while your community got left behind. Maybe it was the moment you realized asking questions wasn’t allowed anymore.

You’re not alone. Thousands of former supporters are waking up to the same gap — between what they were promised and what’s actually happening.

Trump supporters regret is real. The political commentary is raging and your conservative disillusionment is making your head spin. Finding a life, or identity beyond politics seems impossible, you believed so many promises – what is the “truth” anymore?

The Wayfinding Guide: Focus to Pivot Course is not a lecture. It’s a navigation system.

In six episodes, you’ll learn to chart your own course using three proprietary tools — the MAGA Compass, the Oasis Sextant, and the Best Life Scorecard — all grounded in four sovereign values: Respect, Truth, Courage, and Legacy.

This is not about becoming a Democrat. This is about becoming yourself again. A political self assessment to reclaim your identity. You will have courage to change to a Life After MAGA – the FOCUS to PIVOT.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You voted for Trump. You believed in the promise. And now — whether it happened slowly or all at once — you’re seeing the gap. The prices. The wars. The corruption. The retribution. The feeling that asking questions isn’t allowed anymore.

You’re not looking for a new party. You’re looking for yourself. Also, former Trump supporters who decided to leave MAGA may feel more lost than ever before. Let me be your favorite teacher from back in the day with a quick brush-up of a few critical skills. A few, simple hours can transform everything. Ancient wisdom vs. modern politics – Focus to Pivot with confidence.

THE EPISODES – YT sample here

EPISODE 1: The MAGA Compass — 4 Questions that Reveal a Political Betrayal

You begin with a confidential diagnostic tool. Four questions about the promises and the policies unfolding in our communities. You score each one zero to one hundred. No one sees your numbers but you. But the gap between your values and your reality will be impossible to ignore. You’ll also establish your first two sovereign values: Respect and Truth, begin your political awakening journey here.

EPISODE 2: The Cloak of Deception — Why You Can’t See Clearly

Three layers have been keeping you blind: Loyalty, Fear, and Identity. You’ll pull back each one and examine every voice in your information circle. You’ll be introduced to the Oasis Sextant — a high precision tool (State the Promise, State the Fact, Measure the Gap, Apply the Values, Chart the Bearing). You’ll complete the Opinions vs. Facts Exercise: what you inherited versus what you verified. And you’ll get your first look at the Sovereign Rewards waiting on the other side.

EPISODE 3: The Wayfinding Station — The Sextant on Iran

Time to put the Sextant to work on a real-world case. The promise was “no more wars.” The fact is a three-month military conflict in Iran and oil surging toward two hundred dollars a barrel. You’ll learn to strip political rhetoric down to its structural bones — the promise, the fact, the gap — and see what’s actually being done in your name. This is the episode where Hero Thinking stops being theory and becomes vision.

EPISODE 4: The Catalyst Power — Reclaim Your True Identity

A creative exhale. The hat comes off. This is the time and place where you can remember your hidden dreams from before politics swallowed your imagination. You’ll explore your personality without the politics — your natural wiring, your gifts, your temperament. And you’ll create your New Declaration: a hands-on collage workshop where you visualize your best life with scissors, images, and your own two hands. This is alchemy — turning a political betrayal into rocket fuel.

EPISODE 5: Legacy Civics — The Best Life Values That Rebuild US

You add two more values to your code: Courage (the quiet courage of saying “I was wrong” and staying in the room) and Legacy (the long view of what you’re leaving behind). You’ll be a part of the Socratic Dialogue process — Ask, Separate, Own, Build — a four-step framework for hard conversations that don’t become fights. You’ll apply the code to one of the hardest conversations of all: faith. Has your faith community been compromised? You’ll find out. And you’ll write one name on a piece of paper — the first step toward repair.

EPISODE 6: The Key to Your Sovereign Rewards — Hero Thinking Pays Off

The closer. You’ll review your scorecard across all episodes — times you chose values over fear — and realize the decision to leave is already made. You’ll tally up the MAGA Compass Scorecard to make your final decision about leaving the movement. And you’ll see the truth that changes everything: this political betrayal that brought you to your knees is the same thing that’s unlocking your ultimate life.

I’ve been trained to identify people who don’t know what’s going on. It’s a very weird skill that teachers are taught. And right now, I see people standing in the grocery store of their own identity, staring at the shelves, and they don’t know which one to buy.

They took off the red hat. Or they want to. But they don’t know what to put on next. It appears to be a political identity crisis.

So, I’m going to tell you something. On June 30, 2026, Joy West Press is launching a test. And the test is this: Can a person reclaim their identity after political betrayal? Not theory. Not opinion. A test.

The Announcement

Here’s what’s happening. Joy West Press — that’s the publishing company behind the Leaving MAGA Guide, behind The Compass, behind eight books on values clarification and critical thinking — is announcing a broadcasting project through the Wayfinding Station.

Starting June 30, we are launching the MAGA Exit Countdown — a live weekly pep-rally show for new community development. And it’s not what you think it is.

It’s not a political hit piece. It’s not a gotcha channel. It is a scientific test — a test of whether people who have been politically betrayed by a gang, by a lifestyle, by an identity that was handed to them — can take that identity off, look at it, and choose something else. HERE’s the Video LINK

I know people are having difficulty today. I see them struggling. They don’t know who they are anymore. They followed something they thought was a movement, and it turned out to be a trap. And now they’re standing at the pivot point — they don’t know which way to go.

THE PURPLE COWS – The Methodology

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. This project blends together multiple what we call ‘purple cows’ — things that make you stop and look because they’re remarkable, because they’re different, because you can’t ignore them.

Purple Cow number one: reading teacher pedagogy. I’ve been trained to identify people who don’t know what’s going on. Teachers are taught to see where a student got lost. You missed lesson number three, and now you’re trying to do lesson number six, but you’re stuck on something you never learned. That’s what happened to millions of people in this country. They missed a lesson — critical thinking, media literacy, how to read a source — and then they were handed lesson number six: ‘Go vote. Go rally. Go wear the hat.’ But they couldn’t read the material.

Purple Cow number two: gang and cult exit psychology. The structure of MAGA — the loyalty oath, the in-group/out-group, the identity fusion, the fear of leaving — it maps onto what we know about gang exit and cult deprogramming. Not name-calling. Structural analysis. The same psychology that keeps someone in a gang keeps someone in a political identity that’s hurting them.

Purple Cow number three: Stoic analysis. Marcus Aurelius said, ‘The best revenge is to not be like your enemy.’ We’re not interested in destroying anyone. We’re interested in the person who got used and them deciding to become someone who can’t be used again.

THE SCIENCE — The Theory Being Tested

Ok, here’s the theory. The theory is that political betrayal creates an identity wound. When you gave your loyalty to a leader, to a movement, to a lifestyle — and that leader betrayed you, lied to you, used you — it doesn’t just make you angry. It fractures the story you told yourself about who you are.

‘I’m a patriot.’ ‘I’m a real American.’ ‘I’m part of something bigger than myself.’ And then you look around and you realize — oh, they don’t. They don’t see that. They don’t see me. I was a tool. I was a number. I was a mark.’

That’s an identity wound. And here’s what the science says: people will go to their death holding on to their broken, wounded identity. Nobody wants to change. Nobody. They don’t like to admit that they were fooled. It’s your ego and you have to say, ‘Yeah, you know, I made a mistake and I have to change.’

Unless you’re going to have the nerve to stop. That’s the test. The MAGA Exit test is: can we give people the tools — the Compass, the critical reading skills, the Stoic framework, the creative arts as therapy — to stop, look at the wound, and choose a different identity? Not the one that was handed to them. One they build themselves.

THE STRUCTURE — The Two Programs

Here’s how this works. There are two programs running together, and they feed each other.

Program one: the MAGA Exit Countdown. This is our live weekly pep-rally show, broadcasting from the Wayfinding Station every week. It’s a community event — a gathering place for people who are in the middle of this identity journey. You come, you listen, you talk, you learn, you connect with other people who are going through the same thing. It’s not a lecture. It’s a rally. It’s energy. It’s momentum. It’s the thing that keeps you moving when the gang voice in your head says, ‘You can’t leave.’ Yes, you can. And here’s a room full of people proving it.

Program two: Focus to Pivot. This is our six-episode course, available 24/7 — anytime, anywhere, at your own pace. This is where you learn the full methodology. This is where you pick up the MAGA Compass and learn to use it yourself. Six episodes walk you through the entire framework: The Compass diagnostic, critical reading skills, the Stoic decision-making model, art as therapy for processing the identity wound, and the creative income strategy that makes leaving sustainable.

The Countdown is the rally. Focus to Pivot is the classroom. You do both. The rally keeps your heart in it. The course gives you the tools.

THE STATION — The Broadcasting Platform

Where does the Countdown happen? At the Wayfinding Station, weekly on Tuesday nights.

The Station is our broadcasting gazebo — a garden at night, a round table, a compass, a warm light from above. It’s a safe space. It’s not a confrontational studio. It’s not a panel of experts yelling at each other. It’s a teacher sitting at a table, looking at you, and saying, ‘I see you. I know you’re struggling. And I know why.’

The MAGA Exit Countdown airs live, weekly, at 7 PM EST. Because healing happens when you’re calm, when the noise of the day has settled, when you can actually think. Not during the outrage cycle. Not during the morning news panic. At night. In the garden. With a compass on the table. And with a community of people who are all deciding, together, that it’s time to stop wandering and start choosing.

And here’s what makes this different from every other political channel you’ve seen. We’re not interested in making you angry. Anger is what the gang uses to keep you. We’re interested in making you clear. Clarity is the enemy of the gang. A clear person can’t be used.

THE INCOME ANGLE — The New Declaration Coaching

Here’s something you won’t hear on any political channel. We’re going to talk about money. Not donations. Not ‘send us $5.’ We’re going to talk about YOUR money. YOUR income. YOUR creative product.

Because here’s what I know. People who have been politically exploited are also economically exploited. The gang didn’t just take your vote. It took your earning potential. It told you that education was elitist. That critical thinking was a trap. That art was weak. And now you’re standing in the grocery store looking at things on the shelves and being like, ‘I don’t know which one to buy.’

Part of the Leaving MAGA Guide is something we call New Declaration coaching. New Declaration coaching is a one-on-one program that helps you build a creative income strategy — your own intellectual property, your own creative product, your own financial foundation. Because here’s the truth: freedom isn’t just psychological. It’s economic. If you’re dependent on the gang for your sense of self AND your livelihood, you can’t leave.

New Declaration coaching walks you through building something that’s yours — a piece of writing, a creative product, an income stream — something the gang can’t take from you because you made it. A person who can feed themselves is a person who can think clearly. And a person who can think clearly is a person who can’t be owned.

CLOSING BELL — The Call to Action

So. June 30, 2026. The MAGA Exit Countdown begins. A live weekly pep rally for a new community of people who are done being used.

Here’s what I want you to do. Two things.

First: go take the Focus to Pivot course. Six episodes, available 24/7. Pick up the MAGA Compass. Learn the methodology. See for yourself how this works — not because I told you, but because you did the work.

Second: join the MAGA Exit Countdown. Every week, live, at the Wayfinding Station. Be part of the community. Be in the room. And decide for yourself.

If you’ve been feeling like you don’t know who you are anymore — you’re not broken. You’re at the pivot point. And the pivot point is where every hero’s journey begins.

Stand at the pivot. Choose your quest.

The countdown begins June 30. Be there on our Youtube Channel. Test the Compass Yourself in the Focus to Pivot Course – Smarter decisions start here.

I have to admit it. I spent years teaching teenagers how to leave gangs in Tampa, Florida. I learned what loyalty costs. What belonging demands. What it takes to walk away from a group that consumed your identity and told you you’d be nothing without it. And then I watched the exact same structure unfold in American politics — the same loyalty tests, the same silence enforced by fear of losing your people, the same identity swallowed whole by the group.

I’m not a pundit. I’m not a therapist. I’m a teacher who knows how to read people out of movements that don’t love them back. And today we’re going to talk about the circle around you — and what happens when you finally test it. Finding your true self is a personal growth journey and I am here to be your guide. What may feel like a political identity crisis can be a political awakening opportunity for you with the MAGA Compass.

The Teacher Who Saw This Before

Let me tell you who I am, because you deserve to know why I’m the person saying this.

I was a high school English and civics teacher in Tampa, Florida. Award-winning. I specialized in the students who were really struggling. And most of the time, it was a really simple little academic skill that got missed when they were coming to school. Not everybody comes to school, and schools aren’t always the best. I admit that. I was in the trenches.

But here’s what I learned in those trenches that changed everything. Some of my students were in gangs. They’d been recruited into groups that promised protection, purpose, belonging — everything a kid who feels invisible desperately wants. And they got it. For a while. Then came the loyalty demands. The silence when they had doubts. The fear of losing everyone if they spoke up.

The hardest thing to break isn’t a lock or a fence. It’s the story someone believes about who they are — and who they’ll become if they leave.

Years later, I started watching what was happening politically in this country. And I couldn’t unsee it. The same loyalty structure. The same identity consumed by the group. The same fear — if I speak up, I lose everyone.

That’s not a coincidence. That’s a structure. And structures can be read. Structures can be navigated. Structures can be left.

Right now, there are fewer than ten exit counselors in the entire United States. Their work costs thousands of dollars and takes months. And none of them — not one — teach the exit as a skill you can learn on your own terms, at your own pace, with a community of people who understand exactly what you’re going through.

That’s what we do here. That’s what the Wayfinding Station is. It’s not therapy. It’s not punditry. It’s pedagogy — the teacher’s craft applied to the most important question you’ll ever answer.

Who am I without the movement? Check the video info here!

THE CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE — Who’s Around You and What They Demand

Let’s talk about the circle of influence around you. Because you didn’t get here alone, and you won’t get out alone either.

Every person has concentric circles of influence. In the center is you — your private thoughts, your values, the things you believe when nobody’s watching. The next ring out is your immediate circle: your partner, your closest family, your best friends. These are the people whose opinions land hardest. If you disappoint them, it hurts. If you lose them, it’s devastating.

The next ring is your extended circle — coworkers, neighbors, the people at church or at the rallies, the group chats, the online communities. These people reinforce what your immediate circle tells you. They make it feel normal. They make it feel like everyone thinks this way.

And the outermost ring is the movement itself — the leaders, the media ecosystem, the constant drumbeat of loyalty and belonging and us-against-them. That ring doesn’t know your name. But it knows exactly how to keep you inside the circles.

Here’s what happens when you’re inside this structure. The circle doesn’t just support you — it tests you. Constantly. Quietly. Without ever saying that’s what it’s doing.

Think about the last time you had a doubt. A real one. Not something small — something that hit you in the gut. Maybe it was about the economy not actually getting better for people you know. Maybe it was about ICE raids in your neighborhood and the look on your neighbor’s face. Maybe it was about a war we never declared, a billion dollars a day in bombs, and the feeling that this wasn’t what you signed up for. Maybe it was about faith — the gap between what your religion actually teaches and what’s being done in its name.

When that doubt hit, what did you do?

If you’re like most people inside the circle, you did one of three things. You pushed it down and told yourself you were being dramatic. You asked someone in your immediate circle and they told you not to worry about it — and you believed them because you needed to. Or you started to say something, saw the look on someone’s face, and stopped talking.

A voice in your head asks, “Would you accept this behavior from your boss, your pastor, a friend?”

So why are you making an exception here?

THE MAGA COMPASS TEST — Four Questions, Zero to a Hundred

This is where the MAGA Compass comes in. It’s the tool I built for exactly this moment — the moment when the doubts are piling up and you need to know where you actually stand. Not where your circle tells you you stand. Not where you wish you stood. Where you actually stand.

The Compass is four questions. You score each one from zero to a hundred. Zero means you’re not feeling this at all — no regret, no doubt, you’re all in. A hundred means you know something is deeply wrong and you can’t unsee it.

Be honest with yourself. Nobody else is watching this. Nobody else needs to know your score. This is between you and you.

Question one: The economy.

Are you happier with the economy than you were? Are prices down? Is your money going further? Is the financial drain stopping — or is it getting worse?

Tariffs were supposed to protect American workers. Instead, everything costs more. The people who promised prosperity — are you feeling it? Zero to a hundred.

Question two: Enforcement.

ICE raids. Military in the streets. Neighbors afraid to open their doors. Children separated from parents. Is this what you voted for? Is this the country you wanted to build? Zero to a hundred.

Question three: Engagement — the wars.

We’re spending a billion dollars a day dropping bombs. Our service members are in danger in conflicts that were never officially declared wars. The promise was no more endless wars. The promise was America first. Is that what’s happening? Zero to a hundred.

Question four: Ethics — the faith test.

This is the big final straw for a lot of people. Set aside the politics. Set aside the talking points. Ask yourself: what would your faith actually say about what’s happening? Not what the pastor who supports the movement says. Not what the TV preacher says. What would Jesus do? What would Muhammad do? What would Moses do? What would the core teachings of your faith — the ones you learned before politics got mixed into it — what would they say?

Zero to a hundred.

Now look at your scores. Really look at them.

If you scored high — if you’re at seventy, eighty, ninety on these questions — you already know something. You’ve known it for a while. The circle around you has been telling you to ignore it, to stay loyal, to trust the plan. But the compass doesn’t lie. The compass shows you where you’re pointed.

And if the compass shows you’re pointed somewhere you don’t want to go — you have a decision to make. Facing a political betrayal is no easy task, the political commentary and echo chamber are adding to the political division. The compass is the tool to trust to reclaim your identity.

THE NEW CODE — Respect and Truth

So if you’re standing at the edge of the circle, looking out — what do you walk toward? Because leaving something isn’t enough. You have to know what you’re walking to.

I’ve decided we need a new code. Two values that replace everything the movement demanded from you. The code is Respect and Truth.

Let me explain why these two — and only these two.

The movement trained you to disrespect yourself. Every time you had a doubt and pushed it down, you were telling yourself: my judgment doesn’t matter. My conscience doesn’t matter. What matters is loyalty to the group. That’s disrespect. Directed at you. By you.

The movement also trained you to accept stories over facts. The conspiracy theories. The alternate explanations. The constant framing of anyone outside the circle as the enemy. You were told what to believe, and questioning it meant risking everything.

So the new code has to start at the exact point where the damage was done.

Respect. Respect yourself first — your own conscience, your own judgment, your own ability to look at evidence and draw a conclusion. Respect for yourself is the foundation. Because if you can’t respect your own thinking, you’ll hand it over to the next person who demands it.

Then respect for others — the people outside your circle that the movement told you were enemies. Respect doesn’t mean you agree with them. It means you see them as human beings with their own experiences and values. It means you can disagree without dehumanizing.

Truth. Truth means you commit to facts — even when they’re uncomfortable. Even when they contradict what your circle says. Even when admitting you were wrong about something feels like it might destroy you.

Truth also means honesty with yourself about what happened. You were manipulated. You were betrayed. The promises were broken. Admitting that isn’t weakness — it’s the first step toward getting your own mind back.

Respect and Truth. That’s the code. Not twenty values. Not a whole political platform. Two. Because two is simple enough to remember when the circle is pulling you back in. Two is clear enough to test anything against.

Is this respectful — to myself and to others? Is this true — based on facts I can verify, not stories I inherited?

If the answer to either question is no — you know which direction to walk.

LEAVING POLITICAL IDENTITY BEHIND — What You Lose, What You Grieve

Now we have to talk about the hardest part. Because leaving a political identity isn’t like changing your mind about a policy. It’s like leaving a family. A religion. A version of yourself you’ve worn for years. It is MAGA Family, MAGA Friends, MAGA Values, MAGA Loyalty.

The movement gave you an identity. It told you who you were — a patriot, a fighter, someone who saw the truth when others were blind. It gave you enemies to define yourself against. It gave you a tribe that welcomed you, celebrated you, told you that you belonged.

When you walk away from that, you lose things. Real things. Tangible things.

You might lose relationships. The people in your immediate circle who can’t understand why you’re changing. The family members who see your doubts as betrayal. The friends who stop calling. The group chats that go silent — or turn hostile.

You might lose your sense of purpose. The movement gave you a mission — save the country, fight the enemy, be part of something bigger than yourself. Without it, there’s an empty space. A kind of grief. Grief can be a catalyst for action and we have plenty of work to do building a stronger community, re-focus that energy with our guide.

Please know that you are not alone. That grief is real. That empty space is real. And it’s okay to feel it. It’s okay to change your mind.

The journey out can be lonely and confusing. But here’s what I learned from the students I worked with — the ones who left gangs and rebuilt their lives. The grief passes. The empty space fills. Not with another group demanding your loyalty — but with something stronger.

Your own identity. The one underneath the movement. The one that was always there, even when you couldn’t hear it.

LIFE AFTER MAGA — Reclaiming Identity with Better Values

So what does life after MAGA actually look like? Not the political answer — the human answer.

It starts with reclaiming what was always yours. I call these the sovereign treasures — the things no movement can give you and no movement can take away. They belong to you. They always did.

Your values. Not the values the movement handed you. Your actual values — the ones you’d teach your children, the ones you’d want on your tombstone. Respect and Truth are the starting code. But underneath those, you have your own — dignity, courage, compassion, loyalty to what’s right rather than loyalty to what’s convenient. Those are yours. Test everything against them.

Your purpose. The movement told you your purpose was to fight for the cause. But your real purpose — the thing that lights you up, the thing you’d do even if nobody paid you or praised you — that’s still there. It might be buried under years of political identity. But it’s there. The Oasis Sextant is the tool we use to find it: State the Promise, State the Fact, Measure the Gap, Apply the Values, Chart the Bearing. Five steps. Over and over, on every question, until your own compass points true.

Your identity. Not “MAGA supporter.” Not “former Trump voter.” Not any political label at all. Just you — the person who loves certain people, believes certain things, wants certain things for your life and your country. Rebuilding identity takes time. It’s uncomfortable. But it’s also the most freeing thing you’ll ever do — realizing that who you are doesn’t depend on who you vote for.

Your financial sovereignty. This is the one nobody talks about. The movement keeps people financially dependent — donations, merchandise, the constant drumbeat of crisis that makes you feel like you have to give. Breaking that cycle means redirecting that energy into making money for yourself, your family, your community. The same focus and discipline you brought to the movement — what happens when you aim it at your own life instead?

Staying true to your principles and values provides incredible energy for a transformation. This is an opportunity to discover who you truly are.

Not who the movement told you to be. Not who your circle expects you to be. Who you actually are — underneath all of it. This is a personal freedom journey and you can choose truth over loyalty!

The Teacher’s Invitation – Amazon Book $10

I’m not asking you to put on a different colored hat and pledge allegiance to someone else. That’s not what this is. They’ve got as many problems as the people you’re leaving. We’ve got to figure something new.

What I’m offering is a skill. A skill I learned in a classroom in Tampa, working with kids who thought they could never leave — and then did. The skill of reading your way out. The skill of measuring what’s true. The skill of finding your own values underneath the ones you were handed.

Best Life Quest: Using Creativity to Navigate Real Life

We are jumping into the adventure of personal growth travel in Puerto Rico!

Most people spend a lot of time trying to “figure life out.”

The problem is that life rarely follows a perfect plan.

Challenges appear unexpectedly. Opportunities come and go quickly. And many people eventually realize they’ve been so focused on surviving daily routines that they’ve lost touch with imagination, creative problem solving, and the bigger picture of who they want to become.

That’s the idea behind the Best Life Quest workshop.

Designed for people seeking a deeper connection with themselves and the world around them, the workshop combines critical thinking, different points of view, and practical problem solving to help participants approach life from a new perspective.

Instead of focusing only on productivity or rigid self-improvement systems, Best Life Quest encourages participants to think more creatively about the challenges they face — and the opportunities that may already be in front of them.

The workshop explores how imagination can become a tool for navigating real life:

Solving personal and professional challenges

Seeing opportunities more clearly

Developing creative confidence

Reframing obstacles

Building a more intentional vision for the future

At its core, Best Life Quest is about reconnecting with possibility.

Because sometimes the biggest limitation is not circumstance — it’s forgetting that life can still be approached with curiosity, creativity, and a sense of adventure.

This is where imagination meets real life.

And where people begin learning how to make the most of every opportunity ahead of them.

If this sounds like a boring critical thinking workshop, it is exactly the opposite!!

Consider this your personal invitation to join me in my Oasis and the Best Life Quest!
