Elsie Hewitt is claiming that she’s raising her daughter Scottie Hewitt-Davidson on her own amid the news of her split from Pete Davidson, less than half a year since they welcomed their newborn.

The 30-year-old model got candid in a TikTok video about her life while calling out the paparazzi for surfaced photos.

“Yeah, yeah, I know. I’m exhausted, okay? I should have left the house looking nicer yesterday,” she began.

“I should have known that that was gonna happen. But that’s not what I’m thinking about right now, because I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money,” she continued.

“I’m doing it on my own, which is hard…next time, I will try to look nicer when I got paparazzi on a walk with my daughter. Okay? But I don’t know how to get rid of the eye bags because I don’t sleep.”

“I hope you don’t mean you’re doing the financial part alone… that would be insane given the circumstances. You seem like a lovely person and a wonderful mother! We’re all rooting for you,” one commenter wrote, to which she simply responded “I am :)” before deleting the comment.

She also posted on her Instagram Stories, asking for help.

“I’m currently trying to find an assistant/ mother’s helper / nanny type / basically [a] right hand person,” she wrote.

“Apply here if qualified & serious. Only looking @ responses with resumes,” she went on write, adding that the position would “of course” be paid.

A source close to Pete issued a statement, via People: “Pete has made himself extremely available and has provided financial support. Pete is actually covering all Scottie costs and more. He is hoping Elsie has good health and success for the sake of their daughter.”

After weeks of reports and speculation, a source told People days ago that Pete, 32, and Elsie, 30, broke up, five months after welcoming their daughter Scottie.

However, the source did note at the time that the two are still “working on things,” adding that “they want one another to succeed and be happy.” Get more details.

Everlane is reportedly being acquired by fast fashion company Shein.

The brand, founded in 2011 by Michael Preysman and Jesse Farmer, was built on “fashioning a better future,” and markets itself with three pillars of sustainability: Keep Earth Clean, Keep Earth Cool, and Do Right By People.

Now, Puck reports that the company is being acquired by the Chinese brand, which has been deemed the biggest polluter in fast fashion.

The reported deal values Everlane at $100 million, and was approved by the board on Saturday (May 16), a source told the insider outlet. The brand was allegedly looking for an investor amid about $90 million in debt as of March, according to the report.

“In the end, Shein, the Chinese fast-fashion group known for its ultra-cheap goods, saw the opportunity—inspired, perhaps, by the success of Quince, another San Francisco–based startup that has merged Shein’s quick-and-dirty approach to production and distribution with Everlane’s faux-luxury positioning,” Puck reported.

L Catterton took a minority stake in the business in 2020, and founder Michael Preysman left.

Last year, someone who looked an awful lot like Luigi Mangione was seen modeling a shirt on Shein’s website, and the brand addressed how this happened.

Barbra Streisand is set to be honored at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, but she will no longer be attending the ceremony.

The 84-year-old icon will sadly not be there to accept her honorary Palme d’Or at the closing ceremony of the film festival due to a knee injury.

“On the advice of my doctors, as I continue recovering from a knee injury, I am sadly unable to attend the Festival de Cannes this year,” she shared in a statement, via Variety.

“But I am deeply honored to receive the honorary Palme d’Or and had so been looking forward to celebrating the remarkable films of the 79th edition.”

“I was also very much looking forward to spending time with colleagues whom I so admire — and, of course, returning to France, a place I have always loved. While I regret that I can’t be there in person, I want to extend my warmest congratulations to all of the filmmakers from around the world whose extraordinary talent and creative vision are being celebrated this year,” the statement continues.

“My heartfelt thanks to the Festival, and to everyone who continues to support and champion the art of cinema.”

The tribute will still happen on May 23.

“Iris Knobloch, Thierry Frémaux and the entire festival team send Barbra Streisand their warmest wishes for a prompt recovery,” the festival said in a press release.

Barbra will be the third person to get an honorary Palme d’Or in 2026, including Peter Jackson and John Travolta.

Drake is seemingly calling out those who stayed quiet amid his Kendrick Lamar feud.

The 39-year-old rap superstar released a trio of albums on Friday (May 15), and on his ICEMAN song “Firm Friends,” he’s lashing out at those who didn’t have his back amid the back-and-forth.

“You think I didn’t see that you stayed silent / That’s like you endorsing it all, may as well stand behind him / I stood beside you, thought there was some good inside you / Situations like these, they force you to notice the difference,” Drake reflects, presumably calling out people who didn’t support him amid the highly publicized 2024 diss track battle.

“But I get it, you all wanna be the main guy / It explains why most people die not knowin’ who would’ve stuck by they side / It doesn’t even cross they mind, they just go along for the ride / They’ll never know they friends’ decision, friends never had to decide,” he declares.

Drake does however directly shout out some friends who’ve stayed by his side, including the song’s producer Conductor Williams and Noel Cadastre, or OVO Noel, who’s worked with Drake for years as his engineer and producer. He also shouts out creative director Ref1 and longtime friend Neeks, or Nicholas Carino, who was the label’s marketing manager.

The Michael Jackson biopic continues to be a hit around the world.

Michael has now pushed past the $700 million mark at the worldwide box office, and also returned to the No. 1 spot at the international box office, pulling in over $57 million internationally in its fourth weekend in movie theaters, Variety reports.

In total, Michael has brought in over $703 million worldwide, including $421 million overseas and $282 million domestically, according to the latest box office report.

Notably, these numbers exclude Japan, where the movie isn’t opening until June 12.

Should Michael continue to perform powerfully at the worldwide box office, it may surpass Bohemian Rhapsody‘s $911 million tally to become the highest-grossing music biopic ever.

Michael has already zoomed past the third highest-grossing music biopic, 2022’s Elvis, which grossed over $288 million worldwide.

The film arrived in theaters on April 24, and was directed by Antoine Fuqua. It stars Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo.

Cate Blanchett is addressing the current state of the “Me Too” movement.

The 57-year-old actress spoke out during a conversation at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival alongside moderator Didier Allouch.

During the conversation, Cate said she felt #MeToo got “killed very quickly,” via Variety.

“There are a lot of people with platforms who are able to speak up with relative safety and say this has happened to me, and the so-called average woman on the street is saying #MeToo. Why does that get shut down?” she went on to say.

“What [the movement] revealed is a systemic layer of abuse, not only in this industry but in all industries, and if you don’t identify a problem, you can’t solve the problem.”

“I’m still on film sets and I do the headcount every day, and it is still, you know… there’s 10 women and there’s 75 men every morning,” Cate added.

“I love men, but what happens is the jokes become the same. You just have to brace yourself slightly, and I’m used to that, but it just gets boring for everybody when you walk into a homogeneous workplace. I think it has an effect on the work.”

The indie horror from YouTuber and first-time director Curry Barker brought in $16 million in its opening weekend at the box office, Variety reports.

The movie had a reported budget of just $1 million, and was acquired by Focus Features for a reported $14 million. It currently commands an A- CinemaScore, and holds a 94% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes among both critics and the audience.

“The film has everything it needs to be a strong return on investment for Focus as it carries this excellent word-of-mouth into Memorial Day weekend,” The Wrap notes of its first weekend haul.

In the movie, After breaking the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart, a hopeless romantic finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.

Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Andy Richter all star in the movie.

The director revealed a Simpsons rerun inspired the plot.

“Bart gets a monkey paw and causes a bunch of chaos. I was thinking that I’ve never seen a straight crazy horror where … we’ve seen ‘Be careful what you wish for’ tons of times. But we’ve never seen my version of it. I instantly started thinking about what I could do with that,” he said.

Inde is now opening up about the end of the movie.

The song was produced by AzizTheShake, FNZ, Hidde, Jeek, London Cyr and Tom Levesque, and features several references to his career and his contemporaries.

“October’s Own is the label, seven-figure deal was a fable / Eight-figure bought out the neighbors, nine figures turnin’ the tables,” he declares, referring to his record label OVO (October’s Very Own), founded in 2009 with producer 40 and manager Oliver El-Khatib.

Some fans think that Drake is taking shots at certain stars in the song, including former collaborator Metro Boomin, who went on to work with rival Kendrick Lamar on “Like That,” and went on to release “BBL Drizzy.”

“I’ll beat a producer like, ‘What’s the BPM?’ / I cannot de-escalate things if we see ’em,” Drake says.

In response, Spencer posted a video clip of him shaking his head and mocking the response, as people in the replies pointed out the similarity to Trump‘s own facial expressions.

Inde Navarrette is opening up about the end of Obsession.

The 25-year-old actress, who stars in the movie as Nikki, recently opened up in an interview about the film’s shocking ending, as well as a possible future for her character. (Warning: spoilers ahead!)

The indie horror movie, which currently commands a glowing 94% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes among critics and audiences alike, just hit theaters on Friday (May 15).

In the movie, after breaking the mysterious “One Wish Willow” to win his crush’s heart (Navarrette), a hopeless romantic (Michael Johnston) finds himself getting exactly what he asked for but soon discovers that some desires come at a dark, sinister price.

The Ending of Obsession Explained

By the end of the film, hopeless and seemingly defeated by all the mayhem caused by Nikki, Bear contemplates shooting himself, but ultimately ingests a bottle of pills. He suddenly has a change of heart, and starts to attempt to throw them up, as we hear the snapping of a One Wish Willow outside of the bathroom door.

His demeanor changes, as he stands up and goes outside to approach Nikki with a smile, who evidently cast a wish for Bear to love her back.

After they embrace, he convulses, foaming at the mouth and slowly collapses and dies due to the pills. Nikki cries and initially reaches for a gun to kill herself in her grief, but as Bear finally dies, she snaps back into her body, and the real Nikki comes to the horrifying realization of what’s happened around her. The movie ends with her sobbing and yelling in horror.

What happens to Nikki at the end of Obsession?

While speaking to THR, Inde addressed what she thought happened to Nikki right after.

“I think she starts a grieving process. There’s jokes about her going to jail, because obviously, where else is she gonna go? (Laughs.) She’s kind of done it all, and nobody believes that the wish is real. But I think in her personal journey, she just starts grieving. I mean, we all go through traumatic events, and so I think, similar to Nikki’s, you just start the grieving process,” she explained.

She also spoke about her reaction to the ending.

“Whenever I first got the script, I tried not to read any scenes Bear had alone, because I really wanted to see this fully from Nikki’s perspective. So, the first time that I ever saw that scene was at TIFF, and I just started crying, because I was like, ‘Holy s–t, he goes from this innocent boy to making a wish out of desperation, not knowing if it will work, and then it does work, and then he gets what he wants, but then he realizes how damaging it is to her, and that he doesn’t want it anymore, so he does make that decision,'” Inde explained.

“But what I thought was cool is Michael asked Curry if he could try and throw up the pills after he ingests all of them, because he’s too coward at the end of the day, he doesn’t want to die, he thinks of himself. So, the moment where he actually goes to throw all of them up, and then you hear Nikki making the wish that he would be more in love with her, that’s the reason why he dies, because he actually doesn’t have time to throw them all up, because then a wish overtakes him.”

Original Ending of Obsession Revealed

She also revealed that there could have been a different outcome.

“In terms of what potentially could have been my death scene in the ending, the original ending was that I was going to choose that I didn’t want to live that way anymore, after all of the trauma and pain. Last second, they were like, ‘Let’s just try this one thing,’ and from other people’s perspective, which is high praise for me, and I really, really appreciate it, they did one take, they felt like it was magical and electric, and they knew that that was the ending. At the end of all of this, it was such a release to get all of what I felt like Nikki was experiencing out of my body. I’m really glad that she didn’t die. I’m really glad that she’s considered a horror final girl, that I think is the sickest title ever.”

Will There Be an Obsession Sequel?

As for whether she’d return for a potential sequel, Inde said: “I absolutely would, but I really love the idea that it’s kind of left there. It’s like a memory, whenever you look back to yourself at like 24, 23, 22 those are all chunks, and they begin and end at a certain point. I think that’s kind of like this story. It begins and it ends, and then it’s new Nikki, if you will. (Laughs.)”

“Smack that a–, smack that a– until I leave a print / I’ll smack that a–, smack that a– until it’s cheetah print,” the 39-year-old Canadian rapper declares over and over again on the track, produced by SkipOnDaBeat, Smash David and Digital Jet.

There are several samples and interpolations featured within the song, including “Popular” by born bad! and Peggy Gou‘s “(It Goes Like) Nanana.”

Later on, Sexyy Red interpolates “Cha Cha Slide” by Mr. C the Slide Man.

Adam Driver was asked about some of the allegations written about him in his Girls co-star Lena Dunham‘s book “Famesick.”

If you don’t recall, Lena said he once threw a chair, yelled at her, and much more.

“Famesick” was released last month, and revealed a lot of details about Lena’s time on the Girls set.

One passage read: “I remember doing a fight scene with Adam and how scary it was to meet someone so totally present with such absence. Late one night, as we practiced lines in my trailer, I found that mine were suddenly gone. I knew I’d written them. I’d known them only minutes before. What does Garrett Graham’s back tattoo say and what does it mean?

In Off Campus, Garrett’s tattoo on his back between his shoulders reads, “Nullum Gratuitum Prandium” in Latin, which translates to “there is no free lunch.”

This is actually a change from the book, where the character has a fire tattoo on his arm.

The tattoo change is more personal to actor Belmont, who brings Garrett to life.

Belmont explained recently to Teen Vogue that he came up with the new tattoo idea.

“What essentially it means is that everything in life is earned. Everything has a cost; nothing comes free,” Belmont explained, revealing it was his high school wrestling team’s mantra. “It’s a core tenet of who [Garrett] is that he refuses to let anything be handed to him. He wants to deserve all of the accolades and achievements that he has.”

“So having it across his back, I thought was a nice place for it because when he has the jersey on, it says Graham right there,” he added. “But when he peels the jersey off, just on his own skin, you get to see that phrase really encapsulate who he is.”

Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano went head-to-head in the MVP MMA match on Netflix on Saturday (May 16).

The women faced each other as the main event, which aired live on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

This marked Ronda‘s first return to the ring in a decade, while it was Gina‘s first match since 2009!

The match started with Ronda coming out and securing a takedown, quickly ending in mount, before she threw a few punches.

She then locked Gina in an armbar, forcing her opponent to tap out in the first round. The match only lasted 17 seconds!

This was Ronda‘s ninth career victory in less than a minute!

After the match, the ladies continued to keep it friendly and were seen sharing a hug in the ring.

“Gina is the person who brought me into MMA and the only person who could have brought me back into MMA,” Ronda shared after the fight, via CBS Sports. “You changed my world and we changed the world. I mean, I was hoping to come out as unscathed as possible because I didn’t really want to hurt her. Luckily, it was just beautiful martial arts, that’s what I think that efficiency is.”

Despite her victory, Ronda shut down any talk of her coming back for another fight.

“There’s no way I could have ended it better than this,” she said. “I want to have some more babies, and I’ve got to get cooking.”

Gina, on the other hand, is more open to jumping back into the ring with another opponent!

She said she wished she was going up against a striker rather than someone like Ronda, who is an Olympic medalist in judo.

“I wanted that to last longer,” she shared. “I felt like I was so ready, I felt so good … I wanted to hit her. Getting in the cage was a victory.”
