A really uncomfortable moment unfolded during the season three premiere of House of the Dragon, which aired on Sunday (June 21) on HBO Max.

Fans have been waiting a while to see the Battle of the Gullet episode, but a moment that happened before the spectacle has grabbed attention.

Aemond kisses his mother Alicent in an uncomfortable moment

While in a tense moment together, Aemond Targaryen (Ewan Mitchell) and his mother Alicent (Olivia Cooke) are standing close together.

In a shocking display, he then leans in and kisses her. She clearly is taken aback, and while she does not stop the kiss, she does not seem into it at all.

To keep the peace, she does not say anything to her son afterwards, but the audience certainly did not love that moment!

The showrunner explained the root of that moment

Showrunner Ryan Condal explained that it goes back to season one.

“He’s somebody that was traumatized at an early age by his brother by taking him to a brothel long before his brain could probably process what was happening. As these things do, that trauma then manifests a certain way in his behavior as an adult. While I don’t think that Aemond is necessarily in love with his mother, I don’t think he’s able to separate the feelings that he has for her from these other male feelings that he experiences,” he told EW.

“…it’s really meant to demonstrate how, even though this is a character who seems entirely together and sure of himself at all times, this is a traumatized person that doesn’t have the well-adjusted underpinnings of a modern character who is raised in a society that understands there are things that you can expose children to and there are things that they should not be exposed to until they’re older,” Ryan added.

Ewan Mitchell also reacted to the shocking kiss

He explained, “Growing up, [kids] need that unconditional love from people to develop a balanced view of themselves. And Aemond’s never really felt like he ever had that love from anyone, really. So he really doesn’t know how to express affection…. Maybe there’s a bit of Oedipus complex in there, as well.”

About the kiss, he added, “Aemond’s trying to read between the lines, see if there is an ulterior motive there. When I read it in the script for the first time, I just thought, ‘Oh, that’s something. Quite out there.’ I kind of saw it coming with everything that I’ve explored with Aemond and his relationship with Alicent.”

“In Aemond’s head, it’s like he’s assuming control of the family. I always think of Ray Winstone from Scum. It’s like, ‘I’m the daddy now.’ He’s the new leader. I think it leaves the question of, What is the relationship gonna be with Alicent going forward?” he added.

Jennifer Garner is paying tribute to her ex-husband Ben Affleck on Father’s Day.

The Alias actress shared rare photos of Ben with their three kids and wrote a sweet note about his role as their father. The former couple share kids Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14.

Jennifer and Ben were married from 2005 to 2015, with their divorce finalized in 2018.

In her Father’s Day post on Instagram, Jennifer shared photos of both her own father and Ben.

“My sisters and I loved to spoil our dad; he never wanted for fresh baked cookies or a bowl of ice cream. I see the way my kids dote on their dad and I’m happy for them. To love and be loved by a great dad is a gift. Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads and to the kids of dads, too,” Jennifer captioned the post.

Jennifer recently revealed the emotional Mother’s Day request she made of her kids this year, which was to pile into the upstairs reading nook and let her read aloud from their favorite childhood books one more time.

Michelle Buteau is sharing her thoughts on the big news involving her show, The Circle.

The 48-year-old comedian hosted all seven seasons of the Netflix reality competition series from 2020 through 2024, but the show has been on break since then.

It was just announced that Hulu has picked up the show for a new version that will feature both civilian competitors and celebrity contestants. There will also be a new audience voting aspect, for the first time in the US version, and will be “reimagined” as a “fast-turnaround” social experiment.

That’s not all, it’s set to be set in real time!

The new version of The Circle will “bring everyday players and celebrities to compete side by side in a game of popularity where identity is ever-changing, and anyone can be anyone. Essentially, contestants move into separate apartments in the same building but are kept isolated from each other. They are only allowed to communicate via a specific app using text and photos but they can decide to play the game as themselves or anyone else they like.”

A fan of the band Goose has died after falling from a balcony inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden during the band’s concert this weekend.

The Associated Press reports that a 51-year-old man, who was sitting in the 300s level of the arena, fell at around 9:51pm on Saturday night (June 20).

The man has been identified as Paul Kueker of Niantic, Connecticut. He was attending the concert with his wife and after the fall, he was found “unconscious and unresponsive with injuries indicating a fall from an ‘elevated position.'” No details about how the fall happened are known as of now. The man was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Goose has released a statement in response to the tragic incident.

“We are deeply saddened and heartbroken to learn of the tragic event that occurred at tonight’s show. We extend our deepest sympathy to everyone affected. Thank you to the emergency personnel and venue staff who stepped in with care and support,” the band wrote on Instagram.

Goose continued with plans for a Sunday night show in Central Park.

“We considered whether or not we were going to play and came to the decision that the best thing we can do right now is bring our community together, lean on one another, and offer a space for healing. So let’s be kind to each other tonight and remember our friend,” the band wrote.

Brooklyn Beckham may be in a feud with his family, but his parents still have him on their mind.

Both David Beckham and Victoria Beckham included photos of their eldest son, 27, in their Father’s Day posts on Instagram.

“Being a dad is my most important job… I love you all & thank you mummy @victoriabeckham For giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world,” David wrote in a post on Instagram.

Victoria also put up a post on her page. She wrote, “David you truly are the best daddy .Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much.Happy Father’s Day.”

She included a photo of David posing at the beach with all four of their kids, including Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.

The posts come days after Brooklyn made a jab at his parents in a DoorDash ad he participated in ahead of the World Cup.

In the commercial, Brooklyn is sitting on a couch in his home while a soccer match plays in the background. “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home,” Brooklyn says with a giggle. “It’s a long story.” He then gets up and tosses several World Cup tickets on his coffee table. The ad ends with “It’s complicated. More soon” written across the screen.

Jennifer Meyer has welcomed her third child into the world!

The 49-year-old jewelry designer recently gave birth to a baby girl with her fiance Geoffrey Ogunlesi, which she revealed to fans in a Father’s Day post.

Jennifer revealed on Sunday (June 21) that their daughter was born last month!

“A perfect month with our perfect baby girl. We love you the most @geoffo212. Happy Father’s Day,” Jennifer captioned the below post, featuring a photo of Geoff holding their daughter.

This is the third child for Jennifer, who shares two teenage children with her ex-husband Tobey Maguire – Ruby, 19, and Otis, 16.

In a recent interview with People, Jennifer opened up about getting pregnant later in life.

“I was so much younger when I did it with my first two kids, and I was the first of my friends [to get pregnant] pretty much,” she said. “So it was a different mentality. And now I know everything and what to expect. It’s a little more exhausting at this stage, but I feel amazing. I love it. I feel really good. I’ve had a really awesome pregnancy. Thank God. It’s been really good. I think I’ve manifested hard.”

She added, “To get to be able to do it again at this point in my life with this person that I love so much. It was really cool.”

Prada‘s new menswear collection was entitled “Clarity” and featured colorful denim sets, cropped leather jackets, and more.

“The ambition was to do something new with ‘nothing’ against exaggeration, against complex material. Against useless design,” designers Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons said in a statement (via Reuters).

Paget Brewster is apologizing after she faced backlash for lashing out at a TV critic who had mixed things to say about the latest season of her Paramount+ series, Criminal Minds: Evolution.

In a tweet on X, Paget slammed ScreenRant writer Shealynn Scott for using “bad pics” and writing a “bad review.” You can read the since-deleted tweet below.

“Hello critic Shealynn Scott. You’re young. You don’t know that bad pics and bad reviews can lead to 350 people losing their jobs. Sell vintage. Work at a shelter. Do something better than what you do now. Because right now you suck.”

Many people came to Shealynn‘s defense, pointing out how critics have freedom of speech to share their opinions and that the photo used was an official still provided by Paramount+.

ScreenRant’s Andy Behbakht wrote, “This is disgusting behavior on your part, and really tragic to see you tearing down a young female journalist whom you are literally telling that she ‘sucks’ and that she shouldn’t be in the field that she is in. I stand by my colleague, and you owe her an apology.”

Paget later deleted the tweet and wrote an apology.

“Hi guys, I was mean to Shealyn Scott last night and I profoundly regret it. Shame on me for insulting a human being for doing their job. I’m very sorry, Shealyn. And I’m sorry to those who follow me that you saw me behave like that. Turns out, last night, I sucked.”

Hilary Duff has kicked off The Lucky Me Tour and we have the full setlist from opening night!

The singer and actress began the tour with a show at the iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre on Sunday night (June 21) in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Hilary previously went on tour earlier this year to launch her Luck… or Something album with a mini tour in small rooms. The new arena and amphitheater tour appears to be an expanded version of that show with some extra songs added to the set list!

Among the highlights of the opening night included the live debuts of “Growing Up,” “Holiday Party,” and “Adult Size Medium,” as well as the first performances of “Play With Fire” and “Anywhere but Here” in nearly 20 years.

Hilary will be performing across North America through mid-August followed by some shows in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia throughout September and October. She’ll perform in Canada and Mexico at the beginning of 2027.

Britney Spears is offering an explanation for her “rebellion” on Instagram over the past three years.

The singer says that someone stole half of her wardrobe three years ago, leading to her showing herself on Instagram “as cheap and probably secretly angry.”

Britney posted in May 2024 that all of her jewelry had been stolen. She said in a video back then, “I’m scared. It’s all gone. All my jewelry is gone… So you can see for real all my jewelry was stolen … it’s hard to buy new now because I’m scared it will go missing.”

Now, Britney is opening up again about being robbed.

Britney wrote in an Instagram caption on June 21, “Not a victim, I’m just curious as to how people were able to make me feel so cheap and crazy when my coats, jewelry and half my wardrobe went missing 3 years ago.”

“I’m going back to that week because it actually did something to me physiologically when the response was nothing we can do about it … it 100 percent hurt me emotionally and felt completely helpless … not showing the coats or jewelry, here are the dresses …. it’s honestly strange, I don’t perhaps miss the clothes … I will say ever since that happened I 100 percent rebelled on Instagram and showed myself as cheap and probably secretly angry … question is if this is crazy talk or did whomever came into my home and stole that much money know exactly what they were doing !!!” she added.

The 46-year-old stand-up comedian and writer, who is married to actress Natasha Leggero, shared his story in an Instagram post that was published on Sunday (June 21).

“happy father’s day. some lousy news. i wrote this on so much oxy,” he began the post.

Moshe Kasher’s health battle began in March 2026 when he found a bump on his tonsil

“Three months ago. While in Savannah. Producing the new Judd Apatow/Glen Powell movie. The Comeback King. Which is going to rule so hard. I found a bump on my tonsil. It was cancer. Which did no rule so hard,” he began the post.

He continued, “Two days ago. A Jewish surgery robot at Cedars Sinai yanked my jaw open for five hours and cut it out and then slit my throat and dissected my neck leaving me with a hardcore neck scar which will make people reluctant to street fight me. My tongue was clamped and yanked out of my mouth and is so swollen and bruised. I sound like I Am Sam.”

“This has been the most terrifying and consciousness consuming experience of my life. My life has been terror. Meditation. Tears. And medical planning (Oh, and 12 hours days on set pitching jokes.) I truly cannot believe I managed to work an entire movie while dealing with this. But Judd could not have been a more kind, supportive and nurturing friend all while on the verge of a 5-Hour Energy overdose from his terrifying habit,” he said.

“The people at Cedars are all such kind pros and I feel like I’m in the best hands possible. I’m in pain and I’m in the middle of a very difficult process. It’s gonna be a long summer. But the good news is the cancer that I have has an incredibly high cure rate (in the 95% zone). I will find out next week if I need radiation or not but regardless I will be okay and back to being a cool dude ASAP.”

“The other bit of good news is that this is cancer you get from sex. So it’s cool that not you know I’ve officially had that. The bad news is HPV positive tonsil cancer is an epidemic in men under 55. Get checked and vaccinate your damn kids! Work out your RFK anxieties on the measles if you must. Trust me. You do not want your kids to go through this.”

“As for going through this – I am. I will continue. I will get better. I’m so grateful I have a life that’s worth living and a kid to raise this Father’s Day.”

Moshe doesn’t know yet when he’ll be back on stage.

The Grammy-nominated singer and actress stepped out for the final night of Ariana Grande‘s run of L.A. shows on the Eternal Sunshine Tour on Saturday (June 20) at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.

Jennifer was spotted watching the show from the VIP platform at the back of the floor. She was joined by her longtime manager Benny Medina, her child Oskar, and ex-husband Ben Affleck‘s child Fin.

Jennifer stayed at the show all the way until the final moments, taking in Ariana‘s soaring moment when she flew into the ceiling during “Supernatural.”

At the show, Jennifer was seen carrying an Hermès Kelly bag.

The time has come to say goodbye to Hallmark Channel‘s beloved series The Way Home.

The series finale episode is airing TONIGHT (June 21) on Hallmark at 9pm ET and we have all the photos released so far by the network, including shots of stars Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Evan Williams.

“Across generations, endings and new beginnings arrive for the Landry family and their loved ones, as the pond always brings surprises,” Hallmark teased about the episode.

Will a fifth season ever happen?

Executive producers Alexandra Clarke and Heather Conkie have addressed the hopes for a fifth season, despite Hallmark cancelling the show after four seasons.

“Well, the door is never closed,” Clarke told TV Insider.

Conkie added, “There will always be questions in our show, even near the end. So it’s always nice to leave people going, ‘Well, I wonder if … ‘”

Clarke continued, “But that being said, I think, again, one of the things that our show does is even when we do provide answers, there’s always a question mark at the end of those answers. Those answers beget questions. And I don’t think our finale will be any different, but there certainly will be answers, and hopefully satisfying ones. That’s the whole point.”

What can you expect for the finale?

Sadie told TV Insider, “I think the fans of the show will be really happy in the way that our showrunners and our writers are so in tune with what’s important to keep the show feeling like it’s The Way Home that we all know and love. I also think that I’m really proud of what we did and it doesn’t take away from the magic of what is a season finale for this story, too, because we’re building towards so many exciting moments for the season, not just the series, all the things that people want to have tied up.”

Evan said, “The fact that we were able to stick the landing after four seasons is just a dream come true and the fact that so many people around the world can now see it, I couldn’t be happier.”

Chyler is teasing the tears that will come.

“Have your Kleenex. Have some wine and really, really good company,” she said.

Keith Urban is sending to love to his ex, Nicole Kidman.

The 58-year-old singer-songwriter wished his former wife a happy birthday on Saturday (June 20) amid her 59th birthday.

“Happy birthday, Nicole Mary!!!!!!!!!!!!,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. (Her full name is Nicole Mary Kidman.)

A day later, Nicole shared a throwback photo of her with her late father Antony Kidman, as well as a photo of Keith with their daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15.

“Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

The ex-couple finalized their divorce back in January after 19 years of marriage.

A source is addressing Keith‘s relationship with his and Nicole‘s daughters.

It has recently been reported the former couple’s two daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 15, are no longer speaking to the 58-year-old country music rocker following his divorce from the 58-year-old Oscar-winning actress.

Obsession is continuing to go the distance.

The hit Curry Barker-directed indie horror film just crossed the $300 million mark globally in its sixth weekend at the box office.

The movie brought in another $14 million at the domestic box office, and $10.9 million internationally, for a total haul of $215 million domestically and $333 million globally to date, per Variety.

It’s now the highest-grossing release of all time for Focus Features, and the highest-grossing horror film of 2026. It’s also the first movie since 1982’s E.T. The Extraterrestrial to have consecutive weekend increases outside of the holiday season, according to Focus Features.

The 26-year-old YouTuber-turned-filmmaker has reportedly signed an eight-figure deal with Universal and Blumhouse, according to THR.

Curry will write, direct and produce the project, which will mark his third film with Universal and Blumhouse, following Obsession and his upcoming Anything But Ghosts, which he also wrote, directed and stars in. That pic has already been shot. Get the details.

The fifth film in the Toy Story franchise brought in $312 million at the global box office in its opening weekend, marking the biggest opening weekend in the series, and the biggest domestic opening of 2026 so far.

The haul breaks down to $160 million domestically and $152 million overseas.

It’s on track to become the biggest launch of 2026 so far domestically, topping the Super Mario Bros. Galaxy movie’s $130.9 million opening haul.

Toy Story 5‘s opening is also a record for the franchise, topping Toy Story 4‘s $120.9 million launch in 2019. Toy Story 4 brought in $238 million worldwide in its opening weekend.

It’s the second-highest international debut for Pixar behind Inside Out 2, and the second-biggest opening of 2026 globally, behind The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.
