Truck detention is one of the biggest hidden problems in freight — costing drivers time, money, and missed opportunities. In this conversation, Fred McMurray sits down with Eric Trout of Harbor Freight Transport and Tim Roberts, founder of DockTime, to break down why detention happens, how it impacts carriers and drivers, and how DockTime is building tools to help fix it.

The discussion covers the root causes of detention, the challenges of warehouse and facility coordination, and how DockTime is creating a driver-first platform with three core products: automated detention collection, facility insights for drivers, and tools for shippers and receivers to improve dock operations.

If you work in trucking, freight brokerage, warehouse operations, or supply chain logistics, this episode is packed with practical insight into one of the industry’s most frustrating problems.

Build Your Own Stage: How Nicole Borghi Creates Opportunity Ecosystems

Mary Farias & Nicole Borghi
Economy Creators
Build Your Own Stage: Creating Opportunity Through Story, Strategy, and Visibility

What if instead of chasing leads… you created a space where opportunities naturally come to you?

In this episode of Economy Creators™, Mary sits down with Nicole Borghi—known as the “Summit Queen”—to explore how entrepreneurs can stop circling the same leads and start building ecosystems where connection, visibility, and momentum happen naturally.

Nicole’s journey is anything but traditional.

From working in virtual reality and AI to leading immersive events and supporting survivors through her work with Confronting Domestic Violence, she has built a unique blend of strategy, creativity, and service. Her work centers on one core idea:

You can build your own world.

And when you do—you control the conversation, the community, and the opportunities within it.

In this conversation, Nicole shares how summits and stages are not just marketing tools—they are containers for transformation, connection, and growth.

You’ll discover:
• Why your story is the foundation of your business—and your sales
• How summits create a “one-and-done” content engine for visibility
• The difference between talking at an audience vs. engaging with them
• How to build a community where people feel seen, heard, and valued
• Why participation and interaction are the future of events and marketing
• How to use AI as a tool—without losing your voice or identity
• The importance of delegation and letting go to truly scale your business

Nicole brings a powerful perspective on storytelling—not as performance, but as connection.

When you share your story from a place of growth (not pain), you create relatability, trust, and ultimately… opportunity.

Because people don’t connect with perfection.
They connect with authenticity, clarity, and transformation.

This episode also challenges a common trap many entrepreneurs fall into:

Doing everything themselves.

Nicole emphasizes that success doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from creating systems, building support, and allowing others to contribute.

And perhaps most importantly…

She reminds us that in a world of noise, automation, and constant change, your greatest advantage is still:

You.

Your voice.
Your story.
Your perspective.

AI can support you.
Platforms can amplify you.

But only you can create something truly unique.

Roots and Branches Ep 32 - Hidden Pregnancies

Janet Munro - Roots and Branches
Nancy Harrison’s story takes us back to a time when teenage pregnancy was hidden, and young girls were sent away to homes for unwed mothers. At just 17, Nancy found herself pregnant after a brief relationship with a boy who chose not to be involved. With little knowledge, no real choice, and the weight of societal expectations, she was sent away from home to have her baby in secrecy. Her daughter was adopted — but never forgotten.

Nancy went on to build a life, marrying young and raising children, while also experiencing deep loss, including the heartbreaking death of a young daughter. Years later, at age 21, the child she placed for adoption reached out. What followed was a reunion filled with emotion, healing, and understanding.

This episode explores the lasting impact of those experiences, the silence many women still carry, and the message that it was never just their fault.

Mary Farias & Brian Swift
Economy Creators
What does it truly mean to rise beyond adversity—and not just survive, but lead?

In this powerful episode of Economy Creators™, Mary sits down with Brian P. Swift, J.D.—motivational speaker, bestselling author, nonprofit founder, leadership coach, and living example of resilience in action.

Known as “The Quadfather,” Brian’s life changed forever at the age of 17 when a tragic accident left him a C6 quadriplegic. But rather than allowing that moment to define him, Brian made a different decision—one that would shape the trajectory of his entire life.

He chose to redefine what was possible.

Through faith, discipline, and a relentless commitment to growth, Brian went on to earn his degree from Saint Xavier University and his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law, becoming a National Negotiations Finalist. He spent over two decades in corporate leadership, training, sales, and marketing—helping launch and grow multiple successful companies.

But his story doesn’t stop there.

Brian is also a certified John Maxwell Coach and Speaker, a lifelong coach of football and basketball, and the co-founder of Swift Outdoor Accessible Recreation (SOAR)—a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping people with disabilities reconnect with the outdoors and break through perceived limitations.

In this conversation, Brian shares the mindset that has guided his journey—and continues to guide the lives of those he coaches.

You’ll hear powerful insights on:

• Why “failure doesn’t exist”—only learning and growth
• How your self-talk shapes your reality and your results
• The truth about comparison—and why it steals your joy
• Why success begins with writing down your goals and living them daily
• How to adapt, adjust, and move forward—no matter your circumstances
• The role of faith, perspective, and identity in creating a meaningful life
• Why giving, asking, and serving others are key to fulfillment and success

Brian’s philosophy is simple, yet profound:

Start where you are.
Decide what you want.
And move forward—consistently.

Because the formula for success doesn’t change based on your circumstances.

It’s not about what happens to you.
It’s about how you choose to think, respond, and act.

This episode is a powerful reminder that your life is not defined by your conditions—but by your decisions.

Healing Steps to Wellness

In this heartfelt episode of Healing Steps To Wellness, Mei Liu and Dr. Jengyu Lai sit down with Suzanne Koepplinger, the early funder and champion who helped them secure seed grants to launch the very first Lotus Health Foundation Community One Symposium and gala more than 10 years ago. Together, they reflect on those beginnings and how that “risky bet” on community-based, whole-person care has grown into a movement for healing justice and community wellness.

Suzanne shares her journey from leading the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center to directing the Catalyst Initiative at the George Family Foundation, where she focused on integrative health, cultural healing, and supporting grassroots leaders closest to community needs. She explains how historic trauma, toxic stress, and “soul wounds” show up in Indigenous communities and beyond—and why funding must honor community-defined practices, from traditional foods and ceremony to elders and healers in residence.

Mei and Dr. J connect this to their own work at Lotus Health Foundation and lifestyle medicine, discussing how our healthcare system overvalues procedures, undervalues conversation, and often treats disease instead of promoting wellness. They talk about burnout among clinicians and nonprofit staff, the need for self-care and forgiveness, and practical ways organizations can support nervous system regulation and resilience so they can better serve their communities.

If you care about health equity, Indigenous and community-led healing, or the story behind Lotus Health Foundation’s beginnings, this conversation will inspire you to see wellness as both individual and collective work—built one relationship, and one soul, at a time.

You’re Not Burned Out—You’re Disconnected (Here’s Why)

You’ve built a life that works.
Your career. Your family. Your responsibilities.
And yet… something feels off.
If you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, “Why can’t I make myself care the way I used to?”, this conversation will help you understand what’s really happening beneath the surface.
In this episode of Healthy Living, Happy Midlife, I sit down with mindfulness instructor Ana Tootle to talk about what it actually means to reset your mind and body in midlife—without adding more pressure, more rules, or more overwhelm.
We explore why so many women feel disconnected during this phase of life, how your nervous system plays a critical role, and why the solution isn’t doing more… it’s creating space to reconnect with yourself.
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about learning how to pause, listen, and respond to what your body and mind have been trying to tell you all along.

✨ What You’ll Learn (3 Learning Objectives)
Understand why high-achieving midlife women often feel disconnected, unmotivated, or “off” despite doing everything right
Learn what mindfulness and meditation actually are—and how to make them simple, realistic, and effective in your daily life
Discover how reconnecting with your inner wisdom can improve clarity, emotional balance, and decision-making

💡 Key Takeaways
You don’t need an hour to reset your mind—even 3–5 minutes of intentional pause can shift your entire day
The benefits of mindfulness don’t always happen during the practice—they show up in how you respond, think, and feel afterward
Midlife isn’t a breakdown—it’s a recalibration, and learning to listen inward is the key to moving forward

✨ What You’ll Learn (3 Learning Objectives) Understand why high-achieving midlife women often feel disconnected, unmotivated, or “off” despite doing everything right Learn what mindfulness and meditation actually are—and how to make them simple, realistic, and effective in your daily life Discover how reconnecting with your inner wisdom can improve clarity, emotional balance, and decision-making 💡 Key Takeaways You don’t need an hour to reset your mind—even 3–5 minutes of intentional pause can shift your entire day The benefits of mindfulness don’t always happen during the practice—they show up in how you respond, think, and feel afterward Midlife isn’t a breakdown—it’s a recalibration, and learning to listen inward is the key to moving forward</itunes:subtitle><itunes:summary>You’ve built a life that works. 3,000 Episodes Later: What Sara Troy Knows About Life & Leadership

What if life isn’t something to get through… but something to fully express?

In this deeply meaningful conversation, I sit down with Sara Troy—founder of Self Discovery Media and host of over 3,000 podcast episodes spanning more than 14 years. Sara has dedicated her life to elevating voices, sharing stories, and creating a platform where truth, service, and human connection take center stage.

But this conversation goes far beyond podcasting.

Sara invites us into a different way of living—one rooted not in survival, but in conscious creation.

So many people today are operating in reaction mode. Responding to circumstances. Moving through life based on what’s happening around them rather than what’s being called from within. And while that may feel normal, Sara reminds us that it is not our natural state.

We are here to express.

We are here to contribute.

We are here to live in alignment with something deeper.

Through her journey, Sara has seen firsthand what happens when individuals choose to use their voice—not just to speak, but to serve. When we begin to share from a place of truth, something shifts. We connect. We expand. We create impact in ways that go far beyond what we can see.

This episode is a powerful reflection on what it means to:
• Move beyond survival and into purposeful living
• Use your voice as a vehicle for connection and contribution
• Listen—truly listen—to yourself and others
• Step into presence instead of noise
• Build a life and personal economy rooted in service

Sara’s perspective is both grounding and expansive. She reminds us that we don’t need to chase significance—we become significant through how we show up, how we listen, and how we serve.

In the world of Economy Creators™, this is everything.

Leading your economy is not just about income—it’s about expression. It’s about circulation. It’s about bringing your ideas, your voice, and your presence into the world in a way that creates value for others.

Sara has done this consistently for over a decade. Not for recognition. Not for validation. But for service.

And in doing so, she has built something truly extraordinary.

This conversation is an invitation.

To slow down.
To tune in.
To recognize that your voice matters.
And to begin using it—intentionally, authentically, and powerfully.

Because when you do, you don’t just change your life…

You impact the lives of others in ways you may never fully see.

Denise Stegall, Rebecca (Becky) Russel
Healthy Living, Happy Mid-Life
If you’ve been doing everything “right” but still feel off—low energy, stubborn weight, restless sleep, this episode will shift how you see your body and your health.
In this powerful conversation, Denise sits down with Rebecca (Becky) Russell, Essential Oils Advocate and author of The Art of Aging Well, to uncover what metabolism really means in midlife, and why it’s about so much more than calories and weight. Together, they explore the deeper drivers of health for women over 40, including sleep, stress, emotional wellness, and the hidden impact of environmental toxins. Becky shares her personal journey from a prediabetes diagnosis to embracing a holistic, root-cause approach, along with simple, practical tools, including essential oils to support healing, energy, and balance.
This is the conversation that helps you connect the dots so you can stop guessing and start understanding what your body truly needs.
Learning Objectives:
Understand why metabolism in midlife is about energy, not just weight
Identify the key factors impacting hormone balance and overall wellness after 40
Learn how emotional health and stress directly influence physical symptoms
Key Takeaways:
Your metabolism is a reflection of how well your body produces and uses energy—not just how many calories you burn
Emotional stress and unresolved patterns can show up as physical symptoms like weight gain, fatigue, and brain fog
A personalized, holistic approach is essential—there is no one-size-fits-all solution in menopause

The Four Agreements for Menopause

Denise Stegall
Healthy Living, Happy Mid-Life
What if menopause isn’t something to push through… but a signal to lead yourself differently?
In this episode of Healthy Living, Happy Midlife, Denise Stegall, Menopause Mentor, brings a powerful perspective inspired by The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, and applies it directly to the menopause transition.
If you’ve been doing everything “right” but still feel off—low energy, scattered, not quite yourself, this conversation will shift how you see what’s happening in your body and what to do next.
This isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about thinking differently, choosing intentionally, and finally understanding what your body has been asking for.

What You’ll Learn
How hormonal changes impact your brain, energy, mood, and decision-making—and why your old strategies no longer work
The connection between self-trust, follow-through, and symptom relief during menopause
Why guessing, assuming, and going it alone keeps you stuck—and what actually moves you forward

Key Takeaways
Your body isn’t working against you—it’s asking for a new level of leadership and support
What worked before may not work now, and that’s not failure—it’s feedback
Real change begins when you stop guessing and start understanding what’s happening inside your body

You’ve built a successful life by showing up, leading, and following through.
Now it’s time to apply that same level of clarity and commitment to your health.
Because when you understand your body, everything changes—your energy, your confidence, your ability to lead at work and at home.

The Inner Evolution Behind Meaningful Success

Mary Farias & Noel Powers
Economy Creators
In this episode of the Economy Creators Podcast & Radio Show, Mary Farias sits down with co-author Noel Powers for a grounded and expansive conversation on identity, evolution, and what it truly means to grow into the next version of yourself.

Noel shares his journey of personal and professional transformation—one that didn’t happen overnight, but through a series of decisions, awareness shifts, and a willingness to move beyond old patterns. This conversation explores the inner work required to step into greater alignment, and how that inner evolution directly shapes the life and economy we create.

At the heart of this episode is a powerful truth: your external results will always reflect your internal identity. When you begin to see yourself differently, you begin to move differently—and that movement creates new outcomes.

Mary and Noel dive into what it means to consciously evolve rather than unconsciously repeat. They explore the importance of questioning inherited beliefs, recognizing where you may be holding yourself back, and developing the awareness needed to choose a new direction. Growth, as Noel shares, often requires discomfort—but that discomfort is a signal of expansion, not something to avoid.

This conversation also highlights the connection between personal development and leadership. As you grow, your ability to influence, serve, and lead others expands. The work is not just about achieving more—it’s about becoming more.

Noel brings a practical and grounded perspective to this idea through his work as a business coach and high-ticket sales trainer. He helps entrepreneurs not only grow their businesses, but elevate how they show up within them—guiding them to build brands that stand out, create deep trust, and generate long-term relationships with clients.

Because building a successful business isn’t just about strategy—it’s about identity, certainty, and the way you communicate value.

If you’ve been feeling the pull toward something more—more alignment, more growth, more expansion—this episode will meet you right where you are. It’s an invitation to reflect on who you are becoming, and how that version of you is shaping the life and economy you are creating.

Coming Back to Your True Self.

In this episode of Discover Rising Tides, we explore two powerful segments centered around midlife transformation, women’s health, and redefining what “healthy” really means.

First off, Jenne Gallagher & Denise Stegall dive into reinvention — from the world of competitive bodybuilding and high-performance routines to a deeper, more sustainable approach to women’s health. This conversation unpacks metabolism, weight-loss resistance, chronic stress, and why what worked in your 20s and 30s may not work in midlife. We explore trauma, burnout, and the shift from control-based wellness to alignment-based living.

Jeanne talks with guest Ariel Griglin Morning routines. Discipline. The pressure to optimize everything. Denise challenges the idea that success comes from rigid structure and instead explore flexibility, nervous system regulation, and letting go of guilt. For midlife women balancing careers, families, and their own health, this is an honest look at how to stop “doing it all” and start doing what actually works.

This episode is for women navigating:

-Midlife metabolism changes
-Menopause and hormonal shifts
-Weight-loss resistance
-Career pivots or identity reinvention
-Burnout from perfectionism
-The pressure to maintain the “ideal” routine

If you’ve ever felt like your body changed and the old rules stopped working — this conversation will resonate deeply.

Discover Rising Tides is where we share stories and strategies that help women rise through transition with clarity, courage, and alignment.

Working from your Liminal Space to Elevated Identity

Working from your Liminal Space tp Elevated Identity is the topic of today’s episode of Discover Rising Tides. Jeanne Gallagher talks with Michelle Boyde - Identity Alchemist

Michelle is the Energetic Consultant & Identity Alchemist for emerging icons, collapsing the liminal space between almost-there and the precision results of their Elevated Identity.

She has guided over 1,000 people through her Precision Subconscious Strategy and created The Alchemy SequenceTM, a precision process that doesn’t just quiet the noise, but dissolves the outdated identity beneath it. In its place, the truestversion of you emerges, the one capable of becoming everything you already sense you’re here to be.

Michelle’s work is devoted to the Liminal Space: that disorienting, electric terrain between who you were and who you’re becoming. Her method fuses deep subconscious transformation, somatic recalibration, and catalytic identity shifts, revealing the signature self who already holds the results you desire, and clearing the space for you to live them with precision.

Streets, Tsunami Planning & Drone Perspectives: What’s New in Grover Beach?

In this August edition of the Grover Beach Monthly Update, Mayor Kassi Dee returns to share important community updates—from newly paved streets to emergency readiness and civic celebration.

The episode opens with infrastructure highlights, including a visible increase in newly resurfaced streets throughout the city. Mayor Dee discusses how these upgrades tie into long-term planning, community satisfaction, and funding priorities.

Also covered is the recent tsunami advisory issued for San Luis Obispo County following the magnitude 8.8 earthquake near Russia’s Kamchatka Peninsula on July 30, 2025. While no significant inundation occurred, coastal communities like Grover Beach were placed on alert as strong currents and harbor surges were expected. Mayor Dee explains how the city activated communication channels, collaborated with emergency officials, and reinforced public awareness.

But it wasn’t all serious—Grover Beach residents also gathered this month for a stunning drone light show at Ramona Garden Park. The event drew families, tourists, and tech enthusiasts for a sky-lit celebration of coastal creativity. Mayor Dee reflects on how these community moments build pride and unity.

Whether you're a resident, visitor, or policy observer, this monthly video provides a well-rounded picture of a coastal city on the rise—balancing resilience, development, and celebration.

Discover Rising Tides with Jan Hamning

Studying the energy systems within and around us has been a passion of Jan Hamning's for more than 10 years. She has been a bodyworker for close to 30 years and has a deep understanding of how our emotions can cause stress on our systems, along with slowing down the healing process when diseased or injured.

Jan grew up on the Southwest side of Chicago and currently resides in the Western Suburbs of Chicago. As much as she loves Chicago, she realizes she feels her best in the mountains. That’s why she gets out hiking in mountains as often as possible to recharge her mind, body and soul. Jan has a studio in downtown Downers Grove, Illinois where she practices EFT (Tapping), Eden Energy Medicine, Feng Shui and Massage Therapy. Her intention is to assist and teach others how good life can be when our emotions are regulated, our energy systems are balanced and to release what is not creating happiness and joy. By using a variety of energy healing methods, Jan helps her clients live their best life.

Jan is a Leader for a nationwide women’s networking group called Women Entrepreneurs Secrets of Success.

How the Outside Makes the Inside Better

Through conversations with female business owners, we explore the benefits of time spent outside to maintain life balance. The time outside and activity may differ in each conversation, but we delve into the subject to find the commonality that drives us all. As a business owner, I find myself outside to balance the challenges of every day

Discover Rising Tides Guest is Crystal Gail Welcome. After a lengthy battle with a rare brain disease, Crystal came to recognize the healing power of nature. She now uses her experience to break down barriers so more people can access the outdoors. Crystal is an experiential educator, author, storyteller, activist, backpacker, Black outdoor leader, and the first person to summit Mt. Whitney with an implanted neuromodulator. She chooses to speak out against racial injustice in the United States by hiking and giving voice to her experiences.

Healthy Living Happy Mid-Life
If your energy feels inconsistent… your body isn’t responding the way it used to…
and you’re starting to wonder what changed

This conversation will help you understand why.
In this episode of Healthy Living with Denise, we’re talking about the science behind the fasting-mimicking diet, cellular repair, and a powerful process called autophagy—and why all of this matters in menopause.

I also share my personal experience after completing a 5-day fasting-mimicking cycle, and why this is a tool I use intentionally (not constantly) to support long-term health, energy, and metabolic balance.
This is not about restriction.
This is about working with your body in midlife.

In This Episode, You’ll Learn:
• What autophagy is and how it supports cellular renewal
• Why your body changes in menopause (and what’s happening beneath the surface)
• How fasting-mimicking works differently than traditional fasting
• The connection between inflammation, metabolism, and midlife symptoms
• When this approach can be supportive—and when it may not be

Backed by Research
This episode references the work of Valter Longo and emerging research on fasting, metabolic health, and longevity—including studies published in Cell Metabolism.

Key Takeaways:
1. Your body isn’t resisting you—it’s shifting.
The changes you’re feeling in midlife are rooted in real biological transitions. When you understand what’s happening, you can respond with the right strategy instead of more effort.
2. Autophagy is your body’s built-in reset system.
This natural process clears out damaged cells and supports renewal—but it slows with age. Supporting it can improve energy, metabolism, and overall vitality.
3. The goal isn’t restriction—it’s strategic support.
Fasting-mimicking can help your body recalibrate and function more efficiently—without adding stress.

If This Resonates…
If you’ve been doing all the “right things” and still feel out of sync in your body—
This is your opportunity to gain clarity.
