The 47-member Geneva forum adopted a resolution brought by Britain and the European Union (EU) unanimously without a vote. However Russia and China disassociated themselves from the consensus afterwards.

Myanmar’s envoy said before the vote that the resolution was “not acceptable”.

The resolution was adopted after the UN human rights investigator for Myanmar urged the UN Security Council to consider imposing punitive sanctions, arms embargoes and travel bans in response to the coup.

• The infected from January 13th to January 27^th was 60,694. 14 days have passed. The number of infections reported during that period was 10,465.
• From January 27th to February 11th the number was 73,166. 15 days have passed. The number of infections reported during that period was 12,472.
