Her accusations against Israel left diplomats facing uncomfortable questions over the future of the West Bank and accountability.

Russia delivered one of its strongest speeches on Israel at the UN Security Council, accusing Israel of openly violating UN resolutions and warning that continued violence threatens the future of both Palestinians and Israelis.

Russia told the UN Security Council that Resolution 2334 is "not merely being ignored" but is being openly violated through continued Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank.
Moscow described Israeli settlements as illegal under international law and called for all settlement activity in the occupied Palestinian territory to stop immediately.
The Russian delegation condemned what it described as systemic settler violence and called for accountability for attacks against civilians, regardless of who committed them.
Referring to the killing of a seven-month-old Palestinian child, Russia warned that "the killing of children must never become an everyday reality," arguing that normalizing civilian deaths would have devastating consequences.
Russia also said implementation of the Gaza ceasefire remains stalled, with humanitarian restrictions, delayed reconstruction and no practical progress toward a lasting political settlement.
Moscow reaffirmed support for a negotiated two-state solution based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state.

In this op-ed, Dr Amina Shareef, a researcher of anti-Muslim racism, explains how the Palestine Action court battle casts a spotlight on the flawed assumptions linking terrorism to the racialised image of the Muslim threat.

Dr Shareef argues that the significance of the Palestine Action case lies in contributing to a similar process. The controversy has exposed the racial assumptions underpinning contemporary terrorism discourse and revealed its claims to neutrality as increasingly difficult to sustain.

In doing so, it has opened political space for a broader challenge to one of the central languages through which anti-Muslim racism and racialised violence continue to be organised.

'Targeting of Palestinian children has not stopped': Independent UN investigator sounds alarm

Independent UN investigators are calling for action after releasing a report detailing what they call “deliberate killing of Palestinian children” by Israel. The Independent International Commission of Inquiry says that since October 7, 2023, the "essence of childhood" has been "destroyed" in Gaza and the West Bank. Speaking with FRANCE 24, Commission Chair Srinivasan Muralidhar said that among the vast evidence collected were testimonies from doctors who said children were admitted to their care with "gunshot wounds specifically targeted at the head and the neck to cause maximum damage".

The Palestinian representative delivered one of the strongest speeches heard at the UN Security Council, accusing Israel of accelerating annexation and warning that peace cannot survive if Palestinian territory continues to shrink.

Palestinian UN representative Riyad Mansour told the Security Council that UN Resolution 2334 can be summed up in two words: "No annexation."
Mansour argued that Israel has seized control of around 70% of Gaza and has effectively annexed large parts of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, describing these actions as violations of international law.
He accused Israel of expanding settlements, fragmenting Palestinian territory, and undermining the viability of an independent Palestinian state.
The Palestinian delegation cited the International Court of Justice's advisory opinion and urged governments, businesses and financial institutions not to support activities linked to what it described as Israel's unlawful occupation and annexation.
Mansour warned that annexation destroys prospects for peace and called on the international community to move beyond statements and take concrete action to uphold international law and support a negotiated two-state solution.
