Abandoned Alma College, lost in the cloud shrouded hills above Los Gatos, CA. A Jesuit school, closed since 1969.

Night, full moon, cloudy. 2 minute exposure, red and green-gelled strobe-flash. The overall glow-y softness was caused by condensation on the lens accumulating over the course of the exposure.

Bigger than your monitor.

Derawar Fort is a large square fortress in Pakistan near Bahawalpur. The walls have a circumference of 1500 meters and stand up to thirty meters high. This fort dates back to the 1600’s to early1700 AD. This is a night shot taken from a distance using only the moon as the source of light. This was a Long exposure.

Full moon and fog. It's hard to discover on this picture, but there is a tiny river (Swalm) flowing just behind the first tree-line. This stream is coming from the second tree line in the left background, just where the fog is. Although this is one of my first moonlight experiments, I'm still not happy with the objective I used (Canon 17-85 mm), which once more turned out to be weak in poor light conditions.

This is a long story. I'll condense it. These Shabbat candles were given to me many years ago by a woman I've been friends with for over 20 years. It happened to be my Mother's Yahrtzeit. I did not have Yahrtzeit candles on hand, and chose to burn these in my Mother's candlesticks. It felt appropriate and significant.
