Inactive accounts

While its own on-site statistics show close to 45 million registered accounts, there are only about 10 million active users at any given moment, and those tend to be concentrated in large urban areas. Worse still, because it locks its geo-search functions to paid members, you won't be able to know, in advance, if there are a lot of active eharmony users in your area, which definitely won't be an issue if you happen to live near a large metropolitan area, but could be a serious problem if you live somewhere a bit more rural.

Which Targaryens have died since Season 2?

There were two key deaths in the Targaryen family in Season 2: one on the Greens' side and one on the Blacks'.

Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen's (Emma D'Arcy) camp lost Princess Rhaenys (Eve Best), also known as the Queen Who Never Was. Meanwhile, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) and Queen Helaena (Phia Saban) lost their young son Jaehaerys when gold cloak Blood (Sam C. Wilson) and rat catcher Cheese (Mark Stobbart) assassinated him on Prince Daemon's (Matt Smith) orders.

There are still plenty of Targaryens left standing, though. Here's who to watch out for in Season 3.

Rhaenyra heads up the Team Black branch of the Targaryen family tree, with her husband/uncle Daemon by her side. (It was touch and go for a minute in Season 2, but after a life-changing study abroad trip to Harrenhal, complete with witches and visions, Daemon is finally ready to accept Rhaenyra as his queen.)

Their two young sons, Aegon and Viserys, are on their way to Pentos for protection after a brief pit stop in the Vale. However, Rhaenyra and Daemon's children from their prior marriages are still in Westeros and locked in on Rhaenyra's fight for the throne.

Rhaenyra's son Jacaerys (Harry Collett) and Daemon's daughter Baela (Bethany Antonia) are both dragonriders. Daemon's other daughter, Rhaena (Phoebe Campbell), doesn't have a dragon, which is why she was sent off as Aegon and Viserys' guardian. However, when they went to Pentos, she remained behind in the Vale, hoping to tame its wild dragon Sheepstealer. Could Rhaenyra be welcoming a new dragonrider to her side soon?

The Targaryen family tree: Alicent Hightower and her children

Dowager Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) remains the matriarch of Team Green, although she's growing increasingly regretful about her role in the war for succession. (So regretful, in fact, that she's offered to surrender the Iron Throne to Rhaenyra.) She had four children with the late King Viserys (Paddy Considine).

The eldest, Aegon, remains King of Westeros. His younger brother Aemond (Ewan Mitchell) attempted to kill him in a dragon dogfight at the Battle of Rook's Rest, and once Aegon recovered from his worst injuries, he fled King's Landing with the help of Larys Strong (Matthew Needham). Now Aemond is Prince Regent, and Alicent is trying her best to get herself and her daughter Helaena out of harm's way.

Alicent's youngest son Daeron has yet to appear in House of the Dragon, as he's been a ward of House Hightower in Oldtown for the past few years. However, Season 2 offered up a glimpse of his dragon Tessarion wheeling over the Hightower army, so expect him to enter the fray soon.

In addition to Alicent, the rest of House Hightower continues to be a major player in House of the Dragon. Her father, Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), former hand of the King, has wound up in a jail cell — although we don't yet know where or why. Elsewhere, Alicent's brother Gwayne (Freddie Fox) has been traipsing around the Seven Kingdoms with Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel), a nightmare we wouldn't wish on even our worst enemies.

House of the Dragon Season 3 also introduces a new member of the Hightower family: Lord Ormund (James Norton), head of House Hightower. His late father Hobert (Steffan Rhodri) was Otto's oldest brother, making Ormund Alicent and Gwayne's cousin. Daeron is his ward.

The Velaryon family tree: Corlys and his sons Alyn and Addam

Rhaenyra's Hand is Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), also known as the Sea Snake due to his naval prowess. Over the course of House of the Dragon, he's lost his wife Rhaenys, as well as their children Laena (Nanna Blondell) and Laenor (John Macmillan).

However, Season 2 revealed that Laena and Laenor weren't Corlys' only descendants. He also has two bastard sons, Alyn of Hull (Abubakar Salim) and Addam of Hull (Clinton Liberty). Their mother Marilda, unseen in the show, was a shipwright.

While Corlys didn't truly acknowledge Alyn and Addam prior to Season 2, the pair are now a much more prominent part of his life — and the show. Alyn is a notable sailor in Corlys' fleet, and Addam became a dragonrider. Thanks to his Valyrian blood, he now rides Seasmoke, Laenor's old dragon.

The dragonseeds: Addam, Ulf the White, and Hugh Hammer

Addam isn't the only new dragonrider to join Rhaenyra's ranks in Season 2. Smallfolk Ulf the White (Tom Bennett) and Hugh Hammer (Kieran Bew) also claimed dragons. Ulf rides Silverwing, the dragon of Rhaenyra's grandmother Alysanne, while Hugh rides Vermithor, the dragon of Rhaenyra's grandfather Jaehaerys. The pair, like Addam, are bastards of Valyrian blood, earning them the nickname of "dragonseeds." While they haven't been legitimized as Targaryens, they will certainly have a large role to play in the battles to come.

Let's face it: Season 2 of House of the Dragon promised fire and blood, but its baffling finale felt more like a puff of smoke.

The season fizzled to an ending with zero catharsis, forced Game of Thrones references, and a highlight reel of what was to come. In some ways, that structure mirrored the season's core conflict. For all of Season 2, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) tried everything they could to prevent all-out war. But while their stalling to prevent the inevitable was rooted deeply in the story, the show's own reluctance to leap into the next phase of George R.R. Martin's Fire and Blood felt more like it was spinning its wheels until Season 3.

Now, the third season of House of the Dragon is finally here, and its first four episodes manage to make up for Season 2's finale and then some, delivering jaw-dropping spectacle and somber truths about the cost of war.

Remember how barely an episode of House of the Dragon Season 2 went by without a mention of Corlys Velaryon's (Steve Toussaint) naval blockade in the Gullet? We finally get the payoff for that blockade at the top of Season 3, as the Triarchy's fleet bears down on the Sea Snake's forces. The ensuing clash, known as the Battle of the Gullet, is one of the defining fights of the Dance of the Dragons — the royal succession civil war between Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D'Arcy) and Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney).

Given that so much of Season 2 was building to this point — hence the fan frustration that it wasn't included — the pressure on House of the Dragon to pull off this battle is immense. Thankfully, the series more than delivers, with a sequence that had me yelling and pacing around my living room while also thinking, "We're so back."

A dazzling set piece involving ships, human soldiers, and multiple dragons, the Battle of the Gullet sets a new bar for Westerosi action. Every element is honed for maximum impact, from long takes of sailors boarding enemy ships to sweeping shots of dragons dive bombing the fleet. The battle, directed by Loni Peristere, wrings epic terror and awe from those big moments, but it also strikes gold in quieter moments, like a suspenseful boat chase that quickly becomes a stealth highlight of the episode.

Oh, and did I mention that this all takes place during the day, so you can make out every ounce of action taking place onscreen? For a franchise whose biggest battles have often been marred by darkness (looking at you, Battle of Winterfell), the Battle of the Gullet is a welcome adjustment. And, based on the first four episodes sent to critics for review, it's only the beginning for House of the Dragon Season 3's big action sequences.

The Battle of the Gullet isn't just an emphatic statement to open Season 3. It's also a major turning point for the Dance of the Dragons, and for Rhaenyra in particular. All throughout House of the Dragon, she has balked at violence, worried at the havoc dragon warfare would wreak on the wider realm. By Season 3, though, Rhaenyra has lost so much to this conflict that she needs to do whatever she can to see it through. Only by taking the Iron Throne can she justify the pain she's experienced. That means making impossible choices and committing to violence she once would have shunned, sometimes carrying it out with her own hands. As she does, House of the Dragon asks, even after all this, will victory be worth it?

It's a haunting question, one that House of the Dragon teases out with tinges of psychological horror in the aftermath of the Battle of the Gullet. D'Arcy has always been magnificent as Rhaenyra, but here, they reach new heights with their raw portrayal of the queen's grief and rage. Their trembling hands and wracking sobs were just as wrenching as some of the Battle of the Gullet's most devastating moments, proving that House of the Dragon can match its biggest set pieces with pure human drama.

While the first half of House of the Dragon Season 3 manages to atone for Season 2's ending, it still commits its share of familiar sins. Threats of sexual violence towards women abound unnecessarily in these episodes, a trend that harkens back to Game of Thrones' worst moments. (Although thankfully nothing here is nearly as graphic.) Elsewhere, several plot threads feel stagnant, with once major players like Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel) getting so little to do they may as well be set dressing. Their decreased roles may wind up paying off down the road, though, just like the many, many changes the show makes from Fire and Blood. While the latter reportedly strained the relationship between Martin and showrunner Ryan Condal, these changes do muddy the Targaryens' already very complicated relationships in intriguing ways, to the point that I'm more fascinated at how the writers came to these new arcs than mad at not getting a precise adaptation.

Despite the occasional low point and my misgivings following Season 2, House of the Dragon Season 3 flies high. Instead of spinning its wheels, it roars into the Targaryens' bloody future with action and creeping dread to spare, and that assurance and forward momentum turns out to be exactly what the show needs.

Connections is the one of the most popular New York Times word games that's captured the public's attention. The game is all about finding the "common threads between words." And just like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight and each new set of words gets trickier and trickier—so we've served up some hints and tips to get you over the hurdle.

What is Connections?

The NYT's latest daily word game has become a social media hit. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu with helping to create the new word game and bringing it to the publications' Games section. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.

Each puzzle features 16 words and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise of anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake—players get up to four mistakes until the game ends.

Strands, the New York Times' elevated word-search game, requires the player to perform a twist on the classic word search. Words can be made from linked letters — up, down, left, right, or diagonal, but words can also change direction, resulting in quirky shapes and patterns. Every single letter in the grid will be part of an answer. There's always a theme linking every solution, along with the "spangram," a special, word or phrase that sums up that day's theme, and spans the entire grid horizontally or vertically.

By providing an opaque hint and not providing the word list, Strands creates a brain-teasing game that takes a little longer to play than its other games, like Wordle and Connections.

What is Connections: Sports Edition?

The NYT's latest daily word game has launched in association with The Athletic, the New York Times property that provides the publication's sports coverage. The sports Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.

Each puzzle features 16 words, and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake — players get up to four mistakes before the game ends.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.

According to NASA, the Moon completes one orbit around Earth in about 29.5 days, moving through eight recognised phases along the way. While the same side of the Moon always faces our planet, the amount of its surface lit by the Sun changes as it travels around Earth. As a result, we see the Moon appear in different shapes over the course of a month, from slender crescents and half moons to a bright Full Moon. This repeating sequence of phases is known as the lunar cycle.

New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).

Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).

First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.

Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.

It's official: Microsoft is terminating future support for its popular Office 2021 suite of productivity applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

While the computing giant claims that your apps "may continue to function," it also warns of exposure to "serious and potentially harmful security risks" if you continue using their now unsupported software after Oct. 13, 2026, the official end date.

In all likelihood, Office 2021 will continue to work as intended for most users in most use cases, much as you can still use Office 2010 or Office 2013, provided you're willing to put up with the limitations of those iterations.

And for all the consumers concerned with owning rather than leasing their software, Office 2024 offers a "lifetime license" purchase, conferring permanent access to essential applications like Word, Powerpoint and Excel without the costly infrastructure of cloud storage or frequent, down-the-line software updates. 

Otherwise, upgrading means switching to Microsoft 365.

In its most recent firmware update for Beats headphones, 1B211, Apple fixed a terrifying security flaw that allowed malicious actors to potentially eavesdrop on private conversations within Bluetooth range of the brand's popular Studio Buds. 

According to reporting by Sead Fadilpašić of TechRadar, it was actually the third-party security firm ERNW and its researchers, Dennis Heinze and Frieder Steinmetz, who first discovered the vulnerability, all the way back in 2025, when it was assigned an 8.8/10 severity score. In effect, it allowed hackers to impersonate a device that had previously been connected to the headphones, not only granting them access to the microphone and headphone audio but eventually even learning some devices' call histories and contact lists.

If you own a pair of Studio Buds, is it likely you've been targeted? Thankfully, no. The same researchers who discovered the exploit told TechRadar that the degree of coordination, complexity, and planning required to execute this hack would have made it worthwhile only for very high-value targets, and, as of now, there are no reports of anyone being negatively impacted by the security vulnerability. 

It's also worth mentioning that Apple wasn't the only company caught up in this exploit. In the original report released by ERNW that identified the flaw, the security firm listed dozens of compromised devices, including those from manufacturers like Sony, JBL, and Bose, and those were just the brands that publicly listed their system suppliers, leaving potentially hundreds more devices yet to be named. In the words of the security researchers in the report, the unknown scope of the problem "creates a huge blind spot in vulnerability management due to the nature of the supply chain." 

Thankfully, Apple isn't the only company taking active measures to protect its customers. According to Ecoustics reporting back in January, both Bose and JBL have also taken steps to close off the vulnerability through firmware updates. 

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 in full swing, and fans from all over the world traveling across the United States to cheer on their home teams, beloved Sesame Street character Elmo took to X in a Team USA jersey to declare his support for the American squad.

As a public figure with an international audience, Elmo is definitely in a tough spot, but declaring that you love everyone while wearing your nation's soccer uniform is probably your best shot at minimizing the fallout.

The sky-high cost of RAM has claimed another victim: budget smartphones. The cofounder of Nothing company, Akis Evangelidis, recently took to X to announce that there will be no successor to last year's popular CMF Phone 2 Pro, a credible iPhone competitor that launched for just $279 and won plaudits up and down the tech world for its design and budget-friendly pricing. 

Nor was Evangelidis shy about naming the problem: "We were working on a successor, but with memory prices where they are right now, we can't build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF."

If you're totally oblivious about what he's alluding to, check out this series of charts from PCPartPicker, detailing the rise in RAM costs over just the last 18 months. Two standout examples: a basic 2x8GB configuration of DDR4 RAM went for about $50 in January of 2025 and now sells for over $150 in June of 2026, while a more speedy 2x16GB configuration of DDR5 RAM went for under $100 in January of 2025 and today costs close to $500!

And while RAM is the most talked-about culprit behind the price spikes, solid-state storage (SSDs), the kind used in mobile phones, high-end gaming computers, and consoles, has also shot up dramatically in price, currently priced at 20 times the equivalent hard disk drive (HDD). 

The driver of these price hikes is the AI revolution currently underway across the entire tech space, as deep-pocketed companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, and Alphabet (parent company of Google) are projected to spend some $700-$900 billion per year on AI-related infrastructure, growing to as much as $1.6 trillion in 2031, according to reporting from Goldman Sachs. 

Unfortunately, because chip makers and RAM suppliers are seriously constrained in their production capacity, this newfound demand has created a bidding war, with budget smartphone shoppers and trillion-dollar tech companies all competing for the same finite supply of materials. The result, at least in the near term, will be not only the abolition of budget smartphones like the CMF Phone 2 Pro, but also inevitable price hikes for compute-heavy devices like smartphones, tablets, and personal computers that are already quite expensive. Apple's outgoing CEO Tim Cook said these developments are "unavoidable."

What is a budget-savvy shopper to do in 2026? The best solution for the time being might be to hold on to your old phone, tablet, or computer for as long as possible.

As we've shared in previous hints stories, this is a version of the popular New York Times word game that seeks to test the knowledge of sports fans.

Like the original Connections, the game is all about finding the "common threads between words." And just like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight, and each new set of words gets trickier and trickier — so we've served up some hints and tips to get you over the hurdle.

What is Connections: Sports Edition?

The NYT's latest daily word game has launched in association with The Athletic, the New York Times property that provides the publication's sports coverage. The sports Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.

Each puzzle features 16 words, and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake — players get up to four mistakes before the game ends.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.

An enormous world orbiting a sun-like star just 57 light-years away in space may have a pink hue and a sky filled with clouds of salt.

Astronomers used NASA's James Webb Space Telescope to study a distant object called GJ 504 b, and for the first time, detailed in a new study, they captured its light in enough detail to study its atmosphere directly rather than relying on rough brightness calculations.

"Distant object" is about as precise of a label as it gets for this thing. Despite the Pink Planet nickname, astronomers aren't even sure what it is. Some studies have suggested it might be a giant exoplanet, while others argue it could be a brown dwarf, a sort of failed star too small to generate its own nuclear power. For now, astronomers are comfortable calling it a "planetary-mass companion."

The problem is that GJ 504 b is cold, faint, and difficult to study. But with Webb, researchers finally had a chance to gather a spectrum, a technique that splits the world's light into its component colors. The presence or absence of different shades can reveal the mix of elements in its atmosphere. 

The most striking finding was that this place has clouds — and not just any clouds — salt clouds. Though previous work has theorized salt clouds should be able to form in worlds between 400 and 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit, astronomers haven't really found evidence of them over the past 15 years, said Aneesh Baburaj, a Northwestern University astronomer, who led the study.

"Salt clouds are unusual," Baburaj told Mashable. "GJ 504 b provides some of the first evidence that salt clouds exist in the atmosphere of such cold objects."

At roughly 550 degrees Fahrenheit, GJ 504 b might not seem cold. But compared to most directly imaged exoplanets, that temperature is quite balmy. 

The researchers attribute the lower temperature to its age. While most gas giant planets are extremely hot at birth, they cool over time. The new study estimates GJ 504 b is 2.5 to 4 billion years old.

As for those salt clouds, the salt is not table salt or even Pink Himalayan Rock Salt, though that would go splendidly with the theme. The paper, published in The Astronomical Journal, describes them as clouds made from tiny particles that form when gases cool down just enough to condense into solids or liquids. 

On Earth, clouds form when water vapor condenses into droplets that drift through air. But on GJ 504 b, the same process happens with far more extreme ingredients. The atmosphere contains gases that can combine into mineral-like compounds at high temperatures, and when conditions shift, those compounds condense into microscopic grains. Those grains then float through the atmosphere and scatter light.

These clouds are likely made of alkali metal compounds, such as potassium chloride, or perhaps sulfide compounds, like manganese sulfide. 

"We do not have enough evidence to say exactly what kind," Baburaj said.

The cloud layer likely plays a major role in the GJ 504 b's appearance. The team describes a faint pinkish tone in the way the light travels through the atmosphere. That means GJ 504 b might not shine pink, per se, but its atmosphere filters its star's light in a way that leaves a faint warm tint in the spectrum.

Despite the new detail provided by Webb, astronomers still haven't settled the debate over whether the Pink Planet is indeed a planet. The chemical evidence appears richer in heavy elements, like carbon, than its host star. That pattern often shows up in planets that form within a disk of gas and dust around a young star. But there are enough uncertainties that the researchers still can't rule out its being a brown dwarf. 

If it is a planet, it's one that weighs about 25 times more than Jupiter, the most massive planet in our solar system.

Though hilarious, Season 3 is all about the fear of moving forward, with Jimmy (Segel) and his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell) staring down college, Gaby (Jessica Williams) navigating commitment, Brian (Michael Urie) moving into parenthood, and more. But it's Harrison Ford who steals the show this season, with Paul saying much more than just "f*** Parkinson's." 9. The Pitt Season 2

Don't let the bizarre online backlash fool you: The Pitt's sophomore outing is a tremendous season of television. The series stays true to its real-time gimmick, but shakes things up just enough with new arrivals, like Sepideh Moafi's Dr. Al-Hashimi, as well as a slate of afflictions that range from fascinating to heartbreaking. When it comes to medical dramas, R. Scott Gemmill's HBO series remains the new gold standard.

In addition to its impressive surgery sequences and a series of escalating emergencies, The Pitt Season 2 manages to look even deeper inward than its predecessor. It pushes everyone to their breaking point, then sits quietly in the aftermath. Nowhere is this clearer than with Noah Wyle's Dr. Robby, who puts himself — and especially his team — through hell in the show's thorniest arc yet. But no show has been more laser-focused on the topic than The Comeback Season 3, which turns a swan song for Lisa Kudrow's all-time great character Valerie Cherish into an urgent warning about the future of the entertainment industry.

Naturally, The Comeback Season 3 is a riot, but it's also a deeply bleak, deeply prescient look at the devaluation of art in favor of AI. Kudrow is magnificent throughout, playing Valerie like a frog stuck in a pot of boiling water as she embraces AI without understanding the consequences. The Comeback understands the consequences loud and clear, though, and the result is as somber as it is funny. What do you get when you cross 30 Rock's breakneck rhythm with the mockumentary format? Sitcom gem The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, starring Tracy Morgan as a disgraced football star and Daniel Radcliffe as the documentarian tasked with rehabilitating his image.

Bursting with killer cutaway gags and pop culture zingers, Reggie Dinkins filled the 30 Rock-shaped hole in my heart that few other shows can. (Shout-out to Girls5eva and The Other Two, gone too soon.) Plus, it's blessed with the funniest ensemble on television, from Living Single's Erika Alexander to Saturday Night Live's Bobby Moynihan. At the heart of it all, of course, is the odd-couple of Morgan and Radcliffe, which proves a gift from the comedy gods. 5. A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

I fully expected to experience franchise fatigue with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the latest Game of Thrones spin-off. I have never been happier for a TV show to prove me wrong. 

Based on George R.R. Martin's Dunk and Egg novellas, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms goes smaller in scale, focusing not on a Westeros-wide war but on a single tournament. There, hedge knight Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) crosses paths with sassy squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell). The pair's ensuing friendship offers up a surprisingly comforting take on Westeros, complete with a supporting cast of good people genuinely trying to do the honorable thing. This isn't to say A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is devoid of Thrones-style tragedy, but as I wrote in my review, "It's a welcome switch-up in HBO's Game of Thrones lineup, and proof that the world of Westeros can be more than just a brutal cage match between warring families. More than that, though, it's a balm for the soul." — B.E.

The Oscar winner's sharp satire begins with a seemingly simple question — who will play the next James Bond? — and uses it as a jumping off point to examine questions about identity and ambition for actors of colour, especially in the treacherous court of public opinion. Ahmed plays British Pakistani actor Shah Latif, whose 007 audition tanks, so he seizes the opportunity to start rumours about his potential casting through the press — and the effects are chaotic.

With co-writers Prashanth Venkataramanujam (Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj), Azam Mahmood (Ramy), and Karen Joseph Adcock (The Bear), and directors Bassam Tariq (Mogul Mowgli), and Tom George (This Country), Ahmed has crafted a crucial, moving, and hilarious show, with jaw-dropping surrealism, '60s cinematography, and a banger soundtrack. Seasons 1 and 2 of AMC's sublime Interview with the Vampire focused on a saga told by Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) — and his clingy immortal boyfriend Armand (Assad Zaman). Season 3, rebranded The Vampire Lestat, is all about the POV of the Brat Prince. And as Lestat (Sam Reid) is seeking both a rewrite of his tarnished image and to become a rock god by spilling vampire secrets, this season is a wild ride of sex, drugs, rock n' roll, and incest. Yep. Turns out Lestat is a real motherfucker.

Kicking off with rollicking energy and plenty of action (of every kind), The Vampire Lestat already has fans giddy. The thrills of the show have spread thanks to Reid's live performance in character for a one-night-only concert and an accompanying soundtrack of glam rock songs of lust, love, and loneliness. Drinking up those lyrics and his velvet-tongued singing is wickedly intoxicating, but trust us, things are just going to get wilder this season. There's nothing on TV like Widow's Bay. That's not hyperbole: There's genuinely no show out right now that has carved out such a singular niche, in such a self-assured manner. Part small-town spookfest, part riotous bureaucratic sitcom, Katie Dippold's series about the mayor (Matthew Rhys) of a cursed New England island effortlessly blends horror and comedy, and it somehow always winds up with the best of both worlds. 

Take the show's superlative fourth episode, where Kate O'Flynn's Patricia (a perfect character whose existence alone earns Widow's Bay a spot on this list) throws a cocktail party gone horribly, horribly wrong. Eerie and hysterical in equal measure, it's a miraculous half-hour that defies easy genre categorization. The same goes for the rest of the show. Even while paying homage to horror classics like Jaws and Halloween, Widow's Bay deftly charts its own path to excellence. Forget being the next Martha's Vineyard; Widow's Bay is the next great TV town, and I can't see anyone dethroning it anytime soon. — B.E.

There are few greater joys in a TV critic's life than watching a show level up each season, and that's exactly what Industry has done. After blowing up Pierpoint in its Season 3 finale, Industry aims even higher in its spectacular fourth season. Its ambitions have never been more lofty, its execution has never been so confident, and its themes have never been more timely.

In its quest to illuminate the networks of greed, power, and desire that govern us all, Industry delivers standout episode after standout episode. Henry Muck's (Kit Harington) costumed birthday dinner becomes a meditation on past trauma, while Sweetpea Golightly (Miriam Petche) and Kwabena Bannerman's (Toheeb Jimoh) trip to Accra is a haunting thriller. Threading through it all is the cat and mouse game between Harper Stern (Myha'la), Yasmin Kara-Hanani (Marisa Abela), and Whitney Halberstram (Max Minghella). It's a slippery slope that causes one of Industry's leads to rise to her fullest potential, while the other sinks to almost unimaginable depths. Both arcs are masterfully crafted and exquisitely performed by Myha'la and Abela, and as Industry hurtles towards its fifth and final season, it's hard to imagine it getting even better than this. Given the show's past track record, though, I'm ready and excited to be proven wrong.

Sure to make our year-end list of the best horror of 2026, Leviticus is an Australian thriller that takes a terrifying look at the evils of conversion therapy — with a supernatural twist.

Since writer/director Adrian Chiarella's feature directorial debut premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, critics have been singing Leviticus' praises. Now that audiences can go to theaters and see what all the buzz is about, a new wave of fans is sure to discover how uniquely scary Leviticus is, thanks to its mysterious monster.

Set in a conservative town in Australia, Leviticus centers on the new kid in town, Naim (Talk to Me's Joe Bird), who's swiftly developing a crush on his classmate Ryan (Stacy Clausen). But not long after the two begin hooking up, a "deliverance healer" performs a ritual on the boys that's meant to stop them from being gay. How? Well, that's spoiler territory.

Let's get into it.

What does the title Leviticus mean?

Leviticus is a book in the Bible. And while it has a lot to say, the most relevant bit in terms of this movie is Leviticus 18:22: "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination."

The movie won't quote it, but the actions of the adults in this Christian community suggest they hold this verse more dear than any of the ones where Jesus called for loving thy neighbor.

What is the monster in Leviticus?

Once the boys have endured the ritual from the deliverance healer, they are followed by something supernatural that tempts them sexually, by appearing as the person they most desire. This creature is not defined within the film as a spirit, devil, or demon — though the religious context provided in the small town suggests one of the latter. The boys stalked by the creature refer to it only as "it."

But let's not get it twisted. The real monster of Leviticus? The parents in this Christian community.

Think of it this way: The shark in Jaws is just being a shark. The mayor who keeps the beaches open because he values money over human lives is the real monster.

Similarly, here, the creature is doing what it does by nature — as suggested by the snake eating the frog in the first scene with Naim and Ryan. The monster/villain of Leviticus is the group of so-called good Christians who unleashed a supernatural tormentor on their own children because they'd rather see their kids dead than queer.

What are the rules around Leviticus' creature?

Thrillingly, Chiarella rejects a straightforward approach to explaining the whats and whys of his creature. With the film set firmly from Naim's perspective, the audience only knows as much as he does through what he sees and hears. But much of what he hears is told secondhand, creating an incomplete taxonomy on this troubling creature. Here's what we do know.

The creature is invisible to all but the person it is stalking.

Naim's first encounter with the creature comes before he's endured the ritual, but after Ryan has. So, while spying on Ryan, he sees the blonde teen lead an invisible someone to a secluded photo booth for a hot makeout session. The photo strip from the booth shows only Ryan inside. But when Ryan begins to cry out in pain, Naim pulls back the curtain to see his crush is being strangled. No assailant can be seen, but the indentations of a palm around Ryan's neck can.

Later, when Naim is being stalked by the creature, he asks strangers at a gas station if they can see it. No one can. To all but those afflicted, the boys sound insane.

The creature aims to kill.

These life-and-death stakes are made clear in the cold open, where a lifeguard named Marnie (Tyallah Bullock) unknowingly encounters the creature. In the shower of a public pool, it seduces her and then violently kills her. The same fate will befall the pastor's son Hunter (Jeremy Blewitt) not long after the "deliverance healer" performs the ritual on him.

The creature appears as the person you desire most.

For Ryan, that means it resembles Naim, and for Naim, it looks like Ryan. However, when they meet Jessica, another afflicted queer kid, she warns them its appearance can shift. "It always looks like the person you're the most — you know — into," she explains, "It doesn't matter who it is: best friend, movie star, gym teacher you once had a crush on. It knows."

"It comes for you when you're alone." 

This information doesn't come from Jessica, but Izzy. Hunter's sister relays this info to Ryan and Naim during her brother's funeral, while helping them connect with Jessica, who she once knew from camp. Izzy relays the story of the creature like one might a ghost story around a campfire, with hushed tones and vague but terrifying details. Izzy is also the one who reveals the girl in the beginning died because of the creature, but the parents and the press tell the "dumb story" that Marnie had fatally "slipped."

There's a double meaning there. At face value, you might think she slipped in the shower on slick tile and incurred a deadly concussion. But in the context of the homophobia in this Christian community, it might be seen that Marnie's "slip" back to same-sex lust led to her death. In that sense, the newspaper articles reflect the worldview of the monstrous parents. This, plus the scene where Naim begs the local police for help, reveals the wicked reality of this "shit-hole town." No authority can be trusted to protect these queer kids. Their only allies are each other. And that leads to a curious conundrum at the core of the story.

How can Naim and Ryan trust each other when the creature can look like them?

Chiarella expertly brews tension with this setup, because each time Naim sees Ryan, there's a flush of yearning and terror. Ryan is what Naim wants, but his mother's religious influence — compounded by the lusty creature she unleashed on him — makes him fear his homosexual identity. The creature itself speaks to this. Looking like Ryan, it tells Naim, "This is what they wanted, us to be scared of each other."

As Jessica warned, the creature will only get better and better about mimicking the desired. Sometimes, Naim can recognize it by context, like when it appears at the bus depot while the real Ryan is already on the bus. In some instances, this fake Ryan appears in the clothes he wore the first day they hung out: a blue tank top with orange ribbing and jeans. Other times, it appears in their school uniform: khakis and a white dress shirt. Other times, it appears in an unfamiliar outfit, suggesting its powers are growing.

What powers does the creature have?

On top of invisibility and shape-shifting, it appears to have the ability to probe the thoughts and feelings of its prey. Jessica warns that it knows what they want, and the way it speaks as Ryan in the climactic attack proves this. Beyond that, the creature also has superhuman strength. When attacking Ryan and Hunter, it lifts them off the ground by the throat. At the convenience store, it shows it can interact with other matter, too, chucking a rock at the teen — mimicking the feisty foreplay Hunter and Ryan displayed before the ritual.

Later, the creature will lift a heavy joiner pipe with one hand, the same pipe that the real Ryan and Naim were unable to budge with both hands. As it gets stronger, it can also turn doorknobs and plunge through a wire-mesh door — though not without injury. However, as Naim learns when cornered in his bathroom, piercing damage — be it a nail file or scissors — has no impact on the creature. Only flame can hold it off. But not for long.

Can the creature be killed?

There's nothing to suggest it can. Jessica warned early on that there's no stopping it. And even after Naim set fire to the abandoned warehouse where the creature was trapped inside, he sees it again as he leaves town on the bus.

Having survived the night, Naim learns that Ryan has gone missing. He also learns that his mother will be no ally against the creature. "I can't help you," she says, "This thing can't be undone. That's what they told me."

Naim is shocked to realize his widowed mother, who speaks of Jesus' love and God's grace, knowingly damned him. She claims she did it for his own safety, saying, "I won't be around forever. We need fear, Naim. It's how we survive."

He pleads for more information, but she ignores him. This interaction echoes other moments of parental neglect. When his mum realized he's gay, she immediately took him to the deliverance healer. When he was being tormented by the creature and could not be alone, she demanded he get out of her bedroom and told him she'd not be home that night, assuring his isolation. Their conversation outside the burned-out warehouse is the final chance Naim gives his mom to turn her back on him.

He flees to the bus stop with plans to go to a city, where he might start again. At the bus stop, he finds Ryan. They are at first uneasy, not sure if they can trust their eyes. But soon, they are on the bus, sharing a set of headphones and finding comfort in each other's presence. That's when Naim sees it.

Outside, it stands near a ditch by the road. Once more it looks like Ryan from that first hangout. Despite the stabbing, scratches, and fire, it is whole and beautiful once more. And it is still in pursuit.

Can Ryan and Naim outrun Leviticus' creature?

There's nothing to suggest they can in the film. However, there are some clues that could suggest hope. While the creature did follow Naim to the hospital an hour away, where they met Jessica, it took it some time. Did it walk there? We only ever see it walking. And while some cuts suggest it can travel alarmingly quickly, they feed more into Michael Myers' tendencies of dedicated stalking than a suggestion that the creature can appear in the blink of an eye. So, while it could follow the bus to the big city, it might take time.

Are Ryan and Naim doomed? I don't think so. For one thing, both are blissful in that final shot, riding off together. They are not at the back of the bus, like at the end of The Graduate. The sense that this escape is just a new trap isn't there.

Instead, I suspect that the farther they get away from this toxic community of hypocrisy and homophobia, the weaker the creature will be. This might be wishful thinking on my part. But having rewatched the film, I was struck by how much of the information they're getting is vague or coming from a possibly tainted source. Izzy tells them some bits of information and leads them to Jessica, but she also sets them up to be ambushed for a hate crime. As a pastor's daughter, her viewpoint is one ingrained in retribution. With her brother dead, she has little incentive to be a true ally to the boys.

As for Jessica, she is spending all her time at a hospital so she won't be alone, forced to face the creature. She's grieving her lost girlfriend, self-harming by snapping a rubber band on her wrist until she bleeds, and exhausted by the efforts of it all. She is a cautionary tale: stuck, stagnant, and miserable. And once Naim's mother makes it clear the parents are monsters not mentors, what else is there to do but run?

Metaphorically, the creature is not the shame of being queer, but the religious trauma that the boys have experienced. The church doctrine that queer lust and joy will lead to doom is played out by the creature, but that fear existed in Naim before he even knew about it. When he and Ryan first made out, he got spooked when he caught his own reflection in the mirror, enraptured in sexual pleasure.

To follow the metaphor, queer people can and do overcome the trauma suffered from religious condemnation, ostracization, conversion therapy, and physical abuse. But the first step is learning to love yourself. In this final scene, we get a glimpse of that journey.

When Naim first kissed Ryan at the warehouse, it was in secret, and even then he was afraid. Later, they kissed on the bus on the way home from the hospital, but were toward the back, away from prying eyes. In this final scene, they're closer to the front and in broad daylight. They are no longer afraid of being seen as gay. Maybe that won't keep the creature away. But if it would, it's not like Naim's mum would tell us.

American filmmaker Gregg Araki is so over movies taking sex too seriously. A defining figure of the New Queer Cinema moment of the early '90s, the director of the Teenage Apocalypse film trilogy (Totally F***ed Up, The Doom Generation, and Nowhere) is back with I Want Your Sex, a cheeky comedy that's got a throbbing debate penetrating its raunchy romance.

Written by Araki and Karley Sciortino, I Want Your Sex plays like a spirited "fuck you" to Halina Reijn's Babygirl. That erotic thriller saw a female CEO (Nicole Kidman) risk her comfortable life over a sexual affair with a male intern half her age, who dominated her in a kinky BDSM relationship. By sharp contrast, Araki's latest keeps the May-December BDSM romance, but turns the tables on who's wielding the whip.

In Babygirl, the heroine's desire was transgressive, as she ceded her hard-won power to an impudent younger man in exchange for consensual sexual degradation. In I Want Your Sex, it's the younger man who is the protagonist hungering to be debased and bossed about. What each craves is the freedom of submission in sexual play, a place where they won't be judged for their yearnings. 

But where Babygirl focuses intently on female desire, I Want Your Sex goes the way of After the Hunt, plunging into a curious intergenerational divide on sex and its politics. Yet, the intellectual undercurrent of this comedy doesn't keep the film from being wildly funny and scorchingly entertaining.

I Want Your Sex pokes at Gen Z prudishness through millennial provocation.

Mashable has previously reported on how Gen Z appears to be less interested in sex than millennials. This carnal culture clash is explored through I Want Your Sex's L.A.-set story of boy meets Domme. Post-college, Elliot (Cooper Hoffman) is floundering to find himself in early adulthood. While his stern girlfriend Minerva (a hilariously frigid Charli XCX) is endlessly focused on her grad school work, Elliot is comically distracted by his sexual desires. Even as Minerva stares at him with boredom, he imagines her talking dirty while big, bouncing cartoon breasts spill out of her top, taunting him.

With such an active sexual imagination, it seems like a (wet) dream for Elliot to get a job working under professional artist and notorious provocateur Erika Tracy (Olivia Wilde). The bad bitch of the art world, her work is endlessly centered on sex, lust, and genitals. Thus, she demands a flank of twentysomething lackeys to do her bidding, whether that be answering phones, prepping materials, or satisfying her late-night lust. 

The two are absolute opposites. Where Elliot is rumpled, gawky, and wide-eyed, Erika, who is 14 years his senior, struts with an alluring confidence and L.A. edginess. He wears khakis; she sports leather catsuits. He bungles even small talk. She spits out disdain about the art industry and even her own work with all the passion of making a grocery list. Then, she dares Elliot to agree with her after he's spent all day chewing gum to build a sticky multimedia depiction of a gaping vagina. Where he's an open book, she's a triple-latched diary with a latex cover, slicked with lube. And he's utterly enchanted by this slippery seductress. So when she suggests they have sex with no strings, Elliot is positively giddy.

While their relationship is a HR nightmare, Araki stitches in an undeniable sweetness. Where Elliot's peers consider him cringe, pervy, and too needy, to Erika, he's — to pluck a phrase from the recent BDSM rom-com Pillion — got an aptitude for devotion that she appreciates (in her own stoic way). 

A joyful montage displays Elliot and Erika in various kinky scenarios. He's drop-jawed in delight, accepting a spanking, or handcuffed and bound in leather straps, or crawling around in a skimpy maid's uniform. But when they're not fucking, Erika is mind-snapping in her emotional unavailability, insisting to him that sex is the point and means nothing beyond shared pleasure. As Elliot yearns for more — for her to see him or recognize the connection between them beyond the bondage — things turn gnarly, challenging Erika's carefree-fucking thesis. 

Olivia Wilde is a devilish diva in I Want Your Sex.

Wilde exudes thundering sensuality in a dazzling array of kinky clothes, including boldly alluring office attire that would make the office siren girlies faint. Her Erika is not a three-dimensional woman but an art piece of her own making — slick, sexy, and enigmatic. Fitting, then, that Araki begins his film with a nod to an early icon of problematic, unknowable but fabulous film divas: Norma Desmond, played by Gloria Swanson in Sunset Boulevard.

Like Billy Wilder's phenomenal classic dark comedy from 1950, I Want Your Sex begins with a doomed figure, floating dead in a sparkling swimming pool, the glow of a posh home shining down on the scene. But this time, it's not the brash American man who toyed with the heart of a deranged female artist who's bobbing in the waters. It's the artist herself. 

How did Erika wind up here? And why is Elliot freaking out while wearing a matching pink satin bra and panties? That's the gleefully tawdry question that Araki poses with his intro. From there, every stilettoed step that Wilde takes in the journey of this deliciously mad baddie plays like a clue.

While Hoffman offers a goofy, guileless smile and willing flesh for the stomping, Wilde is a thigh-high boot in human form. She is shimmering and seductive, but with a threat of pain. To his clown, she is not just an eyebrow-arching straight man but a smirking tyrant, impossibly cool even when behaving like a hot mess, the kind juicy exposés thrive on.

With baby bangs and a chic mullet, Wilde presents L.A.'s art scene as a ruthlessly superficial space where sex sells, and it's easier to plead ignorance than it is to ask for consent. She is a caricature of a cynical millennial, attracted to Gen Z's eagerness but bored by their purity politics. Her give-no-fucks façade is as enchanting as it is shallow.

Araki builds out her world with a scowling business partner (an amusingly seething Daveed Diggs). Meanwhile, Elliot's is filled with friends like Zap, his eye-rolling work bestie (Mason Gooding in sassy mode), his flummoxed roommate Apple (a crackling Chase Sui Wonders), and foes like the two frustrated cops (Margaret Cho and Johnny Knoxville) interviewing him about Erika's pivotal last swim. Through all these collisions of colorful characters, Araki is able to explore the central sexual politics with plenty of verve and saucy while silly dialogue.

These contrary viewpoints on sex and relationships are bound to collide dramatically. Thankfully, the pool scene climax is just as juicy and twisted as you might hope for in a Araki spin on Billy Wilder. However, in the film's overlong resolution, the daring filmmaker who won the first-ever Queer Palm at the Cannes Film Festival takes his foot off the gas. This give-no-fucks romp about the beauty of making mistakes in lust and love falters in its daring. Its propulsive pace sputters in search of a happy ending that feels so jarring in tone that it feels almost like another one of Elliot's fantasies — minus the cartoony flare.

Still, even with a conclusion that loses its nerve, I Want Your Sex is an exuberantly entertaining comedy, alive with sexual vigor, earnest humanity, and biting humor.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake—players get up to four mistakes until the game ends.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.

After satirical paper The Onion bought right-wing conspiracy site Infowars, it faced legal obstacles — but now the people behind it say they're launching a new Infowars and sidestepping the courts.

The founder of Infowars, Alex Jones, declared bankruptcy in 2022 following defamation lawsuits from families of the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting, which Jones claimed was a hoax. He was ordered to pay them $1.3 billion in damages, and The Onion won an auction bid for Infowars in 2024 — but a judge swiftly blocked the sale.

Then, in April 2026, The Onion announced a new way to buy the outlet: a licensing deal that would allow The Onion to publish on Infowars' site and start paying the Sandy Hook families. But that has faced legal challenges too, MS NOW reported, and The Onion has decided not to wait for the courts to relaunch the website.

"Alex is holding Infowars.com hostage," CEO of The Onion, Ben Collins, told MS NOW. "He's trying to intentionally degrade the assets so these families can never sell them, and the courts have largely obliged. We're tired of waiting around."

The refreshed Infowars is now set to launch on July 2 with original programming, with comedian Tim Heidecker as creative director. Heidecker, who's known for Adult Swim shows such as Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! with his creative partner Eric Wareheim, will host a parody of Jones's old Infowars show. An "emergency" statement from Heidecker (doing a Jones impression) has already been published on YouTube.

Other shows coming to Infowars this summer, according to MS NOW, are The Jim Haggerty Show and a documentary-style film called Birth of a Nation, which has the same name as the racist 1915 film featuring the Ku Klux Klan.

In an April interview with TIME, Heidecker said there will be a "transition phase" of doing Onion-style parody, and he eventually wants to turn Infowars into a "destination for good comedy — a new streaming site, a new comedy platform." He also stated that the team hopes this will be profitable and "provide nice, healthy budgets for young creators to make interesting things for the world."

He reiterated this in a June interview with WIRED, stating that "there will be a sense of curation" of comedy coming out of Infowars, "the same way Adult Swim was a brand."

The review came down to one hard-to-see detail: whether Sweden forward Alexander Isak had made a slight touch on the ball before it reached Svanberg. If he had not touched it, Svanberg would remain offside. If he had, the phase of play would reset, and the goal could count.

According to an ESPN VAR review of the incident, officials used Adidas’ connected ball tracking technology to determine that Isak had indeed made contact. The touch was so slight that it was difficult, if not impossible, to judge clearly with the naked eye...but the sensor registered it. VAR overturned the original offside decision. Svanberg’s record-setting goal stood.

In a World Cup increasingly shaped by technology, the smallest touch can now be enough to make history.

Following SpaceX's IPO on June 12 — the biggest in history, which made Elon Musk a trillionaire — the stock price dipped just days later when the company announced the acquisition of AI coding agent Cursor.

The initial price was $135, and reached over $170 the same day, Mashable reported. By Tuesday, June 16, it hit a high above $225, according to Forbes, but some of those gains were lost by Wednesday.

The $60 billion deal between SpaceX and Anysphere, the startup behind Cursor, was announced on Tuesday. The next day, the price fell five percent, CNBC reported, and dropped another 3.75 percent on Thursday.

The markets are closed today, June 19, with SpaceX's current share price at $185 at the time of this writing. It's dropped slightly today, but it's still well above its IPO share price.

But how low will it go? Investor research firm Morningstar reported that SpaceX is wildly overvalued, with its fair value estimate at $62 a share, and a best-case scenario would price shares at $169. That would be lower than today's price, but still higher than its IPO.

Not everyone believes SpaceX is overvalued, though. Investment bank Oppenheimer and Co. raised its projection for SpaceX stock from $190 to $250 following the acquisition disclosure. Analyst Timothy Horan said that SpaceX "owns every layer of the AI stack, giving it cost and quality advantages," and that Cursor is a major component of that.

So it remains to be seen whether the stock will dip much lower — and unless it dips below $138, Musk remains a trillionaire.

Researchers have discovered a vulnerability with older iPhones that Apple can't patch.

The team at Paradigm Shift, an independent European cybersecurity firm, published its findings on the flaw, which it calls usbliter8, on its blog on Thursday.

Researchers exploited flaws in the USB controller and the device's firmware to override the boot process (when the phone turns on) and gain control of the device before iOS loads, and even run unauthorized software.

The issue exists within SecureROM, the code that runs when an iPhone turns on, which is embedded in certain chips. Apple can't fix these flaws, as the code can't be extracted from the chips.

Paradigm Shift reported the vulnerability to Apple before publishing it.

The impacted chips are A12 and A13. Here are the impacted iPhone models with A12 and A13 chips, as reported by AppleInsider:

The exploit requires physical access to the iPhone. Paradigm Shift wrote that it opens up different paths that could allow attackers to compromise Apple's Secure Enclave Processor, which stores encrypted data and passcodes.

"As these vulnerabilities reside in immutable code, affected users should be aware that migrating to newer hardware remains the most effective mitigation," Paradigm Shift's blog post states. Meaning: The best way to avoid this vulnerability is to get a new device.

A few days ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook warned that Apple product prices are going up, due to the raging memory chip shortage that's putting pressure on consumer electronics manufacturers.

"Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable," said Cook, which pretty much seals the deal for pricier iPhones and other Apple gadgets.

While Cook didn't share any other details, many folks (us included) assumed the price hikes would likely happen in the fall, when the company typically launches its new Apple Watches and iPhones. Now, it appears the changes might take the form of actual price increases for existing products, which isn't typical for Apple.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the price hikes are likely "fairly imminent."

"No other reason to flag them now. I’d also note that Apple back to school sale is very imminent, and it could make sense to tie these together as a buffer. Either way this is happening soon. Not a fall thing."

We could imagine Cook, who's on his way out as CEO, flagging future price hikes to make life a bit easier for his successor, John Ternus. But if Gurman is right, it could mean that the best time to get a cheaper iPhone is... well, right now, before prices go up.

Gurman also referenced Apple's "Back to School" sale, which typically starts mid-June. Apple could increase the regular prices of its products while still offering discounted education pricing to make the transition less painful.

President Donald Trump and President Masoud Pezeshkian signed a "memorandum of understanding" this week, an agreement which will reportedly end the U.S.-Iran war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Why won't you say them out loud?"

Meyers then moves to clarify the three goals of the agreement, which Trump lightly covered during his G7 press address as "ending the current conflict, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, and preventing Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon."

"Wait, so the three goals of the deal to end the war were: ending the war, reopening a strait that was already opened before we started the war, preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, which they had already agreed not to obtain under the deal you ripped up, which started the war that closed the strait, which you reopened by ending the war you started," said Meyers.

"I currently have a worse headache than the Knicks the morning after they won the title, and at least they won something."
