When he retired he came on 160 meters. Unfortunately some teenagers used to listen in and cause all sorts of trouble.

Pirate Tales

The dark side of radio. From those that were there, 27 Megs in Melbourne during the 1970"s the raids and broadcasts and lots of illegal activities. Most of this i did not know as i had lived a very sheltered life and thought that what went on on 160 was bad at least no one got shot!.This and other interesting subjects included. From 2009 and one of the best of the modern period. This crossband was almost lost as the file was accidentally erased and the analogue tape backup machine was slipping so it is made up from various other recordings so the quality is a bit strange at times. This will not appear on the podcast site as i do not remember how to do them and it is years since i put one up and does anyone still listen to podcasts? (151min 50meg)

This is the second last Branch missions from Oct 2003 and was the
first time he was on since 1998. Incomming audio was via netmeeting
and as you will hear the quality is no way as good as Skype. Dallas and
the Bek join latter on. All these recent missions have not been put up before as
frankly i did not concider them all that interesting, but now as they are the last in a
long line there is some appeal. 2003 (2H26min 61meg)

As you will hear people were ringing in to report bright lights in the sky and loud noises but the
experts on the ABC were saying that they must be mistaken as the skylab was going to fall
safely at sea. Any one who has been to the skylab museum at Esperence in Western Australia
can plainly see that a lot of big and heavy stuff did actually fall on the land.
