Muhammad Kamalud-deen University, Ilorin, has recorded a 100% success rate after the National Universities Commission accreditation exercise held in November/December 2025.

All 13 academic programmes presented by the university were accredited.

For a university that began operations barely three years ago, this result gives students, parents, staff, and well-wishers a clear reason to pay attention.

NUC Accredits All 13 MKU Programmes

According to the official results released by the National Universities Commission, Muhammad Kamalud-deen University presented 13 academic programmes for the accreditation exercise.

Every one of them was accredited.

That outcome places MKU among newly established universities that have shown readiness, quality checks, and academic capacity within a short period. Among universities licensed to operate in 2023, MKU also stands as one of the fastest to secure full accreditation success across all programmes presented.

A young school, yes; but the record now speaks in figures.

What the 100% Accreditation Result Means

The result means MKU’s programmes met the national standards required by the NUC.

Those standards cover curriculum quality, staffing, infrastructure, learning resources, and governance; each part matters because accreditation checks more than course names on paper.

For students and parents, the result gives assurance that the education offered at MKU is credible, competitive, and nationally recognised.

For the university, it strengthens its name as a school focused on training graduates who are intellectually sound and morally grounded.

A Result Built by Many Hands

The Management of Muhammad Kamalud-deen University thanked all those who played a role in the success.

Special recognition went to the Governing Council and the University Senate for their leadership and commitment to quality assurance.

The Vice-Chancellor and the management team were also recognised for their direction, attention to detail, and steady pursuit of academic standards.

Teaching and non-teaching staff played their part too. Their work helped ensure that the programmes met the required benchmarks during the NUC review.

Students were also acknowledged for their discipline and engagement, which the university said reflected its core values.

Founders, Parents, and Well-Wishers Also Recognised

MKU also acknowledged the support of its founders, Ansarul Islam Society of Nigeria.

The Board of Trustees, partners, parents, admirers of Shaykh Muhammad Kamalud-deen Al-Adabiy, and well-wishers were also recognised for their trust and contributions.

That backing, according to the university, has continued to support progress and stability.

MKU Looks Ahead After NUC Accreditation

Muhammad Kamalud-deen University said it will continue to sustain and improve on the standards already attained.

The school also said it will build on the success by deepening its culture of excellence, strengthening its academic framework, and producing graduates who can make useful contributions to society.

The 100% accreditation success is not just a score on a sheet. For MKU, it marks a strong start and points to its aim of becoming a leading university in Nigeria and beyond.

The accreditation exercise took place in October/November 2025. After the review, the NUC granted full accreditation status to the three Computing programmes listed by the university.

Computer Science

The review covered curriculum content, staffing, infrastructure, learning resources, and academic delivery; those areas form part of the checks used for Nigerian university programmes.

The accredited status also remains valid for five years.

KHAIRUN Management Reacts

The Management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University expressed gratitude to the Proprietor, Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor, staff, students, and stakeholders.

Their support, according to the university, contributed to the success recorded during the accreditation exercise.

A school does not reach this point through one office alone. It takes planning, teaching staff, student support, and steady attention to academic checks.

What This Means for KHAIRUN

The university said the development strengthens its position as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising private universities with a focus on technology-driven disciplines.

Key Notes for WASSCE Candidates

WAEC gives exam notes that candidates must read before they enter the hall. One small detail can affect time, marks or access to the paper, so candidates should go through the timetable and the paper rules before exam day.

When Question Paper Time Differs

Where the duration printed on the question paper differs from the timetable, candidates should follow the time printed on the question paper.

Papers Given Out Before the Exam Date

For Visual Art 3:

Paper 3A: schools will receive instructions two weeks before the paper is due.

Paper 3B: candidates will receive the question paper two weeks before the paper is due.

Paper 3C: candidates will carry out their projects within six months of the examination year; the Council will tell schools the submission period.

Extra Time for Blind, Deaf and Dumb Candidates

Blind, deaf and dumb candidates should receive one and half times the time given to other candidates.

Simple WAEC Exam Tips

Candidates should begin revision early, not leave study until the final days. Past questions can help them see exam patterns, practise timing and notice how WAEC frames common subject areas.

Good food, sleep and short breaks also matter during revision. On each exam day, candidates should arrive early, settle down and check the paper details with care; panic steals time.

Forbidden Items in WAEC Exam Hall

The draft lists these items as banned:

Programmable calculators

The 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result is out. Candidates who want a quick and safe check can use the approved SMS method; the steps are short, but each one matters.

A missed detail can slow the process or leave a candidate chasing the wrong fix. This guide lays out the exact steps, the reply types, the scam warning, and what a candidate can do after the score appears.

Use SMS to check the 2026 JAMB result

The SMS route keeps the process simple. A candidate needs a phone, the correct SIM, and N50 airtime.

Here is the method:

Open the messaging app on the phone used for JAMB registration.

Type UTME RESULT or UTMERESULT in capital letters.

Send the message to 55019 or 66019.

Wait for the reply.

The key detail is the phone number. The message must go from the exact number used during registration, not a similar line, not a new SIM, the Same one.

What reply may come back

The reply can fall into several clear groups.

If the result is available, the candidate will receive the score in the message inbox.

If the wrong number is used, the reply will read: “This phone number was not used for registration.” The fix is simple, though not pleasant; the candidate has to use the correct SIM.

Other replies may include these:

Withheld result, with investigation still pending

Marked absent, if JAMB recorded that the candidate did not attend

Registration cancelled, if the exam entry was invalidated

Unauthorised access, if entry happened without clearance

Each reply says something specific. That is why the correct number, the right text, and the approved codes matter so much.

Score upgrade claims should be ignored

Every year, false promises spread across social media and group chats. Some people claim they can raise a candidate’s score for a fee. The claim is false.

The valid routes for checking a result are the official JAMB portal and the SMS method through 55019 or 66019. Any other path should be treated with care.

A candidate who wants the warning in plain terms can read why JAMB score upgrade claims are fake.

What to do after seeing the score

The next step depends on the mark and the school choice. What should a candidate do once that Score lands?

Check the cut-off mark for the chosen school

Each university or polytechnic sets its own minimum score. A candidate should confirm the mark before making any move.

This guide on JAMB cut-off marks for all schools can help with that check.

If the score meets the cut-off mark

The next stage may include:

Post-UTME exam

Screening

Document verification

A candidate who needs fresh notices can follow post-UTME and screening updates.

If the score falls short

Panic will not help; a calm switch in plan may.

The options listed in the draft are clear:

Change to a course with a lower cut-off

Choose a different school

Apply for a change of school or course

This guide explains how to apply for a change of school or course.

The result is one part of the bigger picture

The UTME score does not define a candidate. It does shape the current options, and that is what matters right now.

The sensible move is to read the result, judge the next step, and act without delay. The exam is one piece; the response that follows carries the rest.

The Federal Government has declared Friday a public holiday so workers across Nigeria can mark International Workers’ Day on 1 May.

Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, announced the holiday on behalf of the Federal Government. The notice came through a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by Magdalene Ajani, Permanent Secretary of the ministry.

Minister praises Nigerian workers

Mr Tunji-Ojo praised Nigerian workers for their hard work and steady dedication to national development.

He said their service remains central to Nigeria’s growth and prosperity. That message was direct.

The minister asked workers to hold on to patriotism, productivity and service, while stressing that such values support sustainable development. He kept the focus on duty, unity and the role workers play in building the country.

FG restates support for workers’ welfare

The Federal Government said it remains committed to the welfare and security of all workers.

Mr Tunji-Ojo added that government would keep working to create a favourable environment for economic growth, a point that speaks to both workers and employers without stretching beyond the official statement.

He also encouraged workers to use the Workers’ Day celebration to reflect on unity and hard work. Nation-building, as presented in the statement, depends on those habits.

Message to workers ahead of 1 May

Mr Tunji-Ojo congratulated workers across Nigeria and wished them a peaceful Workers’ Day celebration on 1 May.

For many workers, the Friday public holiday offers time to mark the day, rest, and think about their place in national growth. The official message stays simple: work matters, unity matters, and dedication to service still counts.
