🇩🇪EURO INTIFADA REACHES GERMANY with riots and looting last night in Frankfurt.

And two, the majority of the Change Bloc has explicitly had campaigns on ‘everyone serves’, so has no room to accommodate this. )

Some time ago, the elderly Admor (Hasidic Rebbe) of Pinsk-Karlin walked over to me at the tefillin stand and asked, “Are you Gil?” Gil is my English name. Rarely does anyone ever call me by that name in Hebrew.

“How did you know that’s my name?”

He said something softly that I couldn’t hear, and he took out his wallet and handed me a 20-shekel bill. I asked him what was I supposed to do with it? He said to do whatever I wanted, and he walked away.

What in the world! That has never happened to me before. Okay, now, what was I supposed to do with the 20 shekels? How could I get the most out of this gift from such a prestigious rabbi? Should I buy something nice to eat thereby bringing his gift into my body? Should I give one shekel each to twenty poor people? Should I give it all to one needy guy? What to do? I thought about it and then the next morning I saw a nice guy who davens neitz who is needy but he doesn’t go around collecting. I walked over and told him how I got the money so he would see the significance, and I gave him the 20 shekels. It felt very good.

Unless you are hungry, it feels better to give than to get.

🇹🇭ANTI-CHABAD PROTESTS IN THAILAND? A prominent political activist, Sondhi Limthongkul, launched a public campaign titled "Take Our Thailand Back," leading demonstrations outside the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok and near Chabad centers in popular tourist hubs like Phuket and Koh Samui.

🇵🇱POLAND - A political crisis in Poland reached the level of police blocking access to the Constitutional Court, and large public protests against the government action. The Prime Minister accuses the court of “lawlessness”. The President and the Court has blocked much of the governments legislation, and has refused to swear in newly selected judges.

The President accuses the government of violating the constitutional order and forcibly seizing control of the Constitutional Tribunal.

Shas has leaked a willingness to, potentially maybe, join an Eisenkot led coalition. Amit Segal writes, “leaks about a government of Eisenkot, his partners, and Shas are a very clever and elegant move by the religious parties to rebuild their legitimacy after being scapegoats in recent years. It will also whitewash their partnership with Likud in the long run. I am surprised by Eisenkot. Doesn't he understand that he is being subjected to the same trick that was played on Tzipi Livni in 2009?”

🇮🇱ELECTION TIDBITS - Voter turnout: 77.9%. Total votes counted: 5,716,665. Valid votes: 5,690,778. Invalid votes: 25,887. The minimum to get into the Knesset is 3.25% of the total valid votes. The results will be official and submitted to the President of the State on Wednesday, November 4.

▪️GASOLINE PRICES TO DROP, THEN RISE - in the same week: on Nov. 1, gasoline prices will drop by NIS 0.42 to NIS 7.35 per liter, but rise by NIS 1 on Nov. 4 to NIS 8.35. when the temporary tax reduction expires.

▪️DIPLOMATS TO EVAC? (Questionable source, but possible.) With warnings/leaks of a US attack plan on Iran in the days, Australia and Germany are preparing to evacuate their diplomats from Israel.

🇮🇱ELECTION SCANDAL NOTE - in 2013, there were elections in the city of Beitar Illit. The police seized 148 identity cards, costumes, and lists of residents who were abroad or did not intend to vote, with the intention of sending imposters to vote.

In an election appeal (Case No. 8654/13, Avutbul v. Cohen) that reached the High Court, 9 judges, headed by Grunis, ruled to hold a re-election in the entire city.

So the apparent barrier to holding a re-election is approximately 100 confirmed intentions to cheat, if the court was to hold to its precident.

💧SURPRISE RAINS IN THE SOUTH - some roads closed for flash flooding, including Route 40 in both directions between the Tzihor junction and Mitzpe Ramon and Route 13 from the Tzihor junction to the Menucha junction.

All roads leading to and from Eilat are currently closed in both directions due to flooding, according to police. Only departures from Eilat to reach Ramon Airport will be permitted.

Someone commented that I should have some appreciation for all of the Indian meditation and other Eastern practices that I did, because they “brought” me to where I am today.

My response is, “My mistakes did not bring me to where I am today... they prevented me from coming here sooner.”

🇮🇶FORMER EGYPTIAN AMBASSADOR TO ISRAEL - JEWS MUST DIE - Former Egyptian Ambassador to Israel Atef Salem explains the deep frustration Muslims carry because Jews are alive and Israel exists.

Even without any land dispute, Muslims in Egypt are fed up with their lives and want to wage war against the Jews nearby. He says they cannot stop hating the Jews and Israel. The mere existence of Jews living next to them is intolerable.

Peace is impossible because the presence of living Jews (not under their dhimmi control) demands blood.

🔹JUDEA-SAMARIA ELECTION LOCKDOWN - the entry of Palestinian workers for work in towns in Judea and Samaria and the Jordan Valley will not be permitted, with the exception of industrial zones. On Election Day Tuesday, all crossings will be closed to Arab workers and industrial zones will be closed to workers as well.

❓JEWISH SQUATTING - The IDF identified Israeli civilians within a restricted military zone, next to the Arab village of Jalud (Samaria) in an Arab structure. Security forces removed the Israelis, and consider it illegal squatting and note the individual have engaged in violent and unlawful activities.

❓FOREIGN SPIES - Two German citizens were detained last night after being filmed photographing the entrance to Damon Prison. Upon checking their mobile phones, recordings of facilities and security activity were found.

▪️ELECTION POLITICS - El Al CEO notes more arrivals than departures (of people), he assumes this is people arriving to vote in the election (Israel does not have absentee voting except for diplomats or other officials stationed overseas, and for soldiers (active or reserve) on duty.

The Purpose

The Purpose

Hashem, in His kindness, gave us His Torah. We are to learn it, and we are to fulfill its commandments. What is its purpose? Why are we commanded to follow the Torah?

The Ramchal says the purpose of the Jew is to reveal Hashem’s Presence. Some say that the purpose is to bring Heaven down to earth, while others say it is to raise the Earth up to Heaven. Actually, they are all saying the same thing in different ways.

All agree, the way to do this is by fulfilling the precepts of the Torah.

Why then do we not accomplish this when we do a mitzvah?

A mitzvah has a physical aspect, and it has a spiritual aspect. By merely fulfilling the physical mitzvah we will not necessarily accomplish its spiritual goal. We have to do something more than the physical mitzvah to accomplish this.

The physical aspects, such as the tefillin, or candles, or scrolls, are obvious. Of course, they have to be proper, kosher.

The spiritual aspect of the mitzvahs is not obvious. We have to search for it. The way we begin to search for the spiritual aspect of a mitzvah is by first fulfilling its physical requirements, and then while still involved with the mitzvah, we are to direct our hearts to Heaven.

We begin to learn to do this by lovingly, softly, sweetly, talking to Hashem in our heart. He is right here with us, wherever we are, but He is hiding. He hides so we will seek him.

Simply fulfilling the physical mitzvah is not enough. We have to search for His Presence, too.

♦️COUNTER-TERROR OPERATION THROUGHOUT THE HEBRON AREA - IDF forces, Shin Bet, Border Police have launched an operation to thwart terrorism in the Hebron area. The forces are now systematically and thoroughly searching all infrastructure in the area to locate and neutralize terrorist infrastructure and weapons, and are interrogating dozens of suspects.

So far, approximately 200 locations have been searched, and ten suspects have been arrested. The area is home to approximately 2,000 residents belonging to the Jubeh clan, which is associated with Hamas and from which the terrorists who carried out yesterday's attack originated.

🔪THE ATTACK - WAS A REPORTER INFORMED? At this mornings terror attack by Hebron, an AFP reporter ‘just happened’ to be pre-positioned to get excellent photos. Photographer, “by chance.” Hmm.

.. RAID - Enemy channels: Israeli forces raided the home of the al-Jaba family in Hebron. The two attackers who carried out the attack are Firas and Hamuda al-Jaba, both 27 years old and members of the same family.

.. HAMAS - Hamas releases a statement, essentially: “yay”.

.. Fin. Minister and Def. Minister ordered the immediate demolition of a wide range of illegal Arab structures adjacent to the site of the attack.

.. IDF FORCES OPENED FIRE - on a car and suspect in the town of Dura, near Hebron.

🔪THE ATTACK - ANALYSIS - The area of Idna, located on Highway 35 near Tel Adora, has become a bustling place with a gas station, shops, and a lot of activity, which Palestinians refer to as "a vibrant life." However, when this is allowed, it often leads to terrorism.

It starts with stones and then escalates to weapons. The local population largely supports terrorism, and they don't face consequences for it.

Testimony from an Arab "bystander" who was present at the attack and reports on the killing of one of the terrorists: “They shot him, he was martyred... May allah have mercy on him..."

They can commit the most horrific acts of cruelty "in the name of allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful," and still pray that allah have mercy on their souls.

🇮🇷IRAN - RUSSIAN PERSONNEL EVACUATING - Russia is evacuating its personnel from the Bushehr nuclear power plant, and Russian Il-76 transport aircraft have arrived to evacuate them (and maybe to deliver weaponry to Iran).

🇫🇷THE EURO INTIFADA - A man opened fire from a vehicle on public roads in France's Yvelines district, killing 1 and injuring 4, with the shooting beginning around 10:30 in Trappes and continuing in La Verrière. The suspect was detained by police in Coignières, and officials said the death toll could still rise. The incident is now considered a terror attack.

🔪TERROR ATTACK (with 📺video) - Two 27 year old Hamas terrorists from Hebron carried out an attack at Yehuda junction in Judea.

7:20 AM - The two terrorists arrived in a stolen car with Israeli license plates at a temporary checkpoint of the Uri battalion, under the command of Home Front Command (Home Front Command does security duty when not involved in rescue operations or training).

They encountered the checkpoint by chance, while their target was to carry out an attack deep within civilian territory.

‏

The attackers got out of the vehicle and opened fire with M-4 rifles, engaging in a firefight with the soldiers for about 20 minutes.

Backup arrives: A paratrooper unit from the 101st Battalion, led by the battalion's deputy commander, arrives and, together with civilian security forces and Home Front Command soldiers, kills the terrorists.

A large amount of ammunition was found in the attackers' vehicle, in addition to the magazines in their weapons. "They planned to raid a Jewish village in Judea and carry out a brutal massacre."

5 injured, 2 critical.

The PM and Def. Min. Have ordered a closure of Hebron and surrounding areas until after Israeli elections.
