According to police, Home Guard K Ravinder of Abids Traffic Police Station was on traffic duty along with WASI Vani Sree and Home Guard Vijay Kumar around 3.30 pm on September 7.

''Ravinder, who was carrying an official camera, photographed a two-wheeler rider for allegedly riding without a helmet," said SHO Nampally and added that the rider, identified as Mohd. Rizwan, a signboard worker from Hyderabad, allegedly took a U-turn, approached the Home Guard from the wrong side and abused and assaulted him while he was performing his duty.

''The rider's wife also allegedly joined the argument and used abusive language while recording the incident on her mobile phone," police added.

''The couple obstructed the officer and later fled the spot in the same vehicle," SHO said.

Based on Ravinder's complaint, Nampally police registered a case under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), besides relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

Police arrested Rizwan on Tuesday and seized the two-wheeler and produced him before a court for judicial remand.

The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar, who took note of the incident, warned that obstruction or intimidation of police personnel performing their lawful duties would invite strict legal action.

"Any obstruction, intimidation or interference with police personnel performing their lawful duties will be met with strict legal action," the Commissioner said and appealed to motorists to follow traffic rules and cooperate with personnel deployed for traffic regulation.

According to Bloodyelbow, the match is reportedly set to take place on September 11. In his video announcing the fight, Johnson said that he believes he can defeat a chimpanzee. 

He also mentioned that a chimpanzee is two times stronger than an average human.

Johnson later discussed the proposed fight during an interview with entrepreneur Brendan Ruh. 

During the interview, Ruh asked him about the fight and whether he was going to fight the chimpanzee.

Responding to his question, Johnson said, "Yes, sir."

Ruh then asked what was happening with the chimpanzee fight and whether Johnson was actually going to fight the animal.

Johnson explained that his original video was made as a joke. He said he believed he could defeat a chimpanzee in a fight but never thought he would actually do it. 

He said people later contacted him offering $500,000, which led him to accept an offer to fight the chimpanzee. However, he said the person who made the offer did not follow through.

Johnson said he then told everyone that he could not fight the chimpanzee anymore but later received another offer for even more money, an amount he said he could not disclose. 

He added that there would be people with tranquillisers present. Johnson said he wanted to go against the wild animal to test himself, while making it clear that he did not want to kill the animal or die.

In his post, just to see how social media users react to the proposed fight, Johnson put up a poll asking them to choose between "Man wins" and "Chim wins".

While some spoke about their personal lives and journeys, others found themselves caught in verbal spats as tensions began to surface. Amid all the chaos, one contestant who has already managed to grab eyeballs and go viral for his personality is singer Qazi Touqeer.

Qazi's recent clash with Yung DSA has drawn comparisons with Shalin Bhanot's much-talked-about confrontation with MC Stan during his Bigg Boss stint. Ultimately, when these comparisons reached Shalin himself, he shared a video wondering why his name continues to feature in discussions every time a new season of Bigg Boss begins. “Ye har baar jab Bigg Boss chalu hota hai toh main kahan se aa jata hoon? Shalin was known for his larger-than-life personality inside the Bigg Boss house, often turning even the smallest situations into dramatic moments. Qazi appeared to display a similar side right from the first episode. From teasing Arishfa to later attempting to downplay Yung DSA's mistake, Qazi soon found himself at the centre of a heated exchange with the rapper. 

The argument escalated as the two went back and forth, with Qazi eventually heard telling Yung DSA, “Baap pe mat jana (Don't bring my father into this),” even though the rapper had not mentioned Qazi's parents.

Haiwaan also marks the reunion of Akshay and Saif on the big screen after more than a decade. The actors were last seen together in Tashan, which was released in 2008. 

The film also brings Akshay back with director Priyadarshan. The actor-director duo has worked together on several popular films over the years. Their collaborations include Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhagam Bhag, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, De Dana Dan, Khatta Meetha and Bhooth Bangla.

Apart from Akshay and Saif, the cast of Haiwaan includes Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, Manoj Joshi and Jisshu Sengupta.

The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn under the banners of KVN Productions and Thespian Films.

Season 5 of the Israeli series delivers all these in ample measure. But no matter what it throws into its "Shin Bet agents fighting Hamas terror masterminds" construct, the show struggles to ward off a degree of been-there-done-that kind of fatigue.

"To hell with this world," says one female operative in Marseille, France, where she is close to busting a terror module. The lady has reason to be peeved. Three rogue agents have embarked on an unapproved personal revenge mission that threatens to scuttle her plans.

There is a great deal going on out there but if you have had your fill of espionage thrillers, Fauda Season 5 is unlikely to send you into raptures even if you manage to sit through it without taking anything resembling a breather.

It is borderline bingeworthy, but at the end of it one is left more exhausted than exhilarated because the show's ability to shock and surprise is now at a low ebb. Yes, in terms of impact and narrative cohesion, this is nowhere near the best of Fauda - Seasons 1 and 3.

It tries exceedingly, and self-consciously, hard not to come across as one-sided in its presentation of the ramifications of the Arab-Israeli conflict that has escalated alarmingly post-October 7.

The aftermath of October 7 constitutes both the backdrop and the narrative spine of the season. But the attempted balancing act between two sides of the coin does not quite come off. The gaze inevitably remains purely Israeli.

As entertainment stemming from a fictionalised tale derived from and set in a time of severe strife, Fauda continues to divert our attention from the chaos - that is what the Arabic word fauda means - of the real world. But it also explores the human cost of war but does so through only half a prism.

The dichotomy afflicts the pivotal character of Doron Kabilio, played by Lior Raz the most. Given his IDF background, the actor has a sense of how undercover counterterrorism operations work. So, the fictionalisation adheres largely to reality-inspired experiences.

Yet, both the character and the actor struggle to break free from the mould shaped by the previous 48 episodes. Raz knows Doron like the back of his hand but overfamiliarity has a way of breeding debilitating dullness.

Doron, at the behest of wife Gali (Netta Garti), is undergoing therapy. His mind is all messed up. However, that aspect of the person he has become flies out the window once the irrepressible man is sucked back into the universe he had drifted away from.

Other troubled figures in Fauda S5, directed by Omri Givon, get a far better deal from the showrunners (Raz and Avi Issacharoff) and screenwriter Omri Shenhar. These are people who are disconcerted, stressed or rendered overly fragile in the line of duty. Their actions reflect just that.

Among them is Eli Aharon (Yaakov Zada Daniel), Shin Bet man who travels unsanctioned to Marseille along with Salem, Bedouin scout and soldier, to find and eliminate the Hamas man who killed his wife. They are told that their target now runs a restaurant in Marseille.

The encounter that ensues shifts their focus. It turns out that the man Eli is looking for is another Gazan, now married to Frenchwoman Anne (Melanie Laurent, new to the cast and one of this season's biggest talking points).

The wounds that Eli carries into battle are both physical and psychological. He is in no mood to retreat. Doron and Hertzel "Steve" Pinto (Doron Ben David), just as scarred as everyone else, set out to stop the rogue agents.

Doron and Steve are drawn into an off-grid operation to infiltrate a terror network planning a strike inside Israel. Having spilled a lot of blood, the duo and Eli run afoul of a French intelligence agent.

Their search leads them into the orbit of Saeed el Hatib (Hakim Djaziri, an addition to the cast), who runs a community centre for Palestinian and other Arab refugees, and his accomplice Abu Zaher (Ali Ali). Their philanthropy is a cover for a fight for a larger cause.

One Palestinian tells another: "We are from Gaza. We are born worried." Their troubles are rooted in over 75 years of occupation. That history is alluded to all right but only as a footnote.

October 7, in contrast, is accorded all of two episodes with a full-on health warning. It reads: Graphic violence ahead - caution is advised, especially if you have been in an emergency situation.

The horrors are driven home. The reprisals are put in context. And then it is back to business as usual for the rest of the series, with the Shin Bet war room going into overdrive.

A string of violent confrontations, several undercover forays into dark areas and one daring extraction mission later, the immediate goals of Shin Bet are achieved - how they get there forms the crux of the story - but the world isn't any closer to peace.

The world has indeed changed since the previous season of Fauda landed in our midst in early 2023. In the three years since then the Israel-Palestine conflict has nosedived precipitously. Humanity has been pulverised.

Fauda Season 5, which opens two years after the October 7 attacks, takes the repercussions of the violence into account and, in the process, delivers all that one has come to associate with the series - competent writing, impressive execution, explosive action and a cautiously calibrated narrative.

If anything has changed, it is the emphasis. Season 5 looks inwards and mildly militates against the very system that engendered the heroes that the series has lionised. It underscores the wages of surviving an unending war, from the standpoint of the active players as well as of the those on the sidelines who have had to suffer the consequences.

It plays out in a world where simply staying alive and sane is no less difficult than dodging death amid flying bullets and exploding bombs.

Binge watch only if you must. Fauda S5 will probably work better an episode or two at a time. It does have things to say and makes its point forcefully enough.

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has long been a television favourite with its characters becoming household names. Kush Shah was one of the show's familiar faces, thanks to his long stint as Goli before eventually bidding farewell to the sitcom in 2024. Now, the actor seems to be exploring a rather unexpected new path as he brings his passion for cooking to the streets of Mumbai.

Kush recently launched his own YouTube channel and his latest vlog showed the actor approaching strangers in Mumbai. He asked them to let him visit their homes to cook for them. While some were initially unsure about the unexpected request, others seemed thrilled to welcome him to their home as they recognised him as Goli. Kush eventually got the opportunity to cook for one family, preparing a meal and serving it to them himself.

Kush Shah quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah in 2024 to pursue higher studies abroad. Following his departure, Dharmit Shah took over the role on the show. 

During his appearance on the podcast Just Kidding with Sid, Kush explained that leaving the sitcom was an important decision for him as he felt it was time to move on and “do something” beyond the series.

The actor said, “I miss being on sets because that is my home. But I had to take this decision for me because I turned 27 and I felt this is the time to do something. I feel this show is going to go on forever as viewers are not going to stop loving the show. 

He added, "I love TMKOC, the people on the show, I genuinely love it and I was addicted to that environment. We shot during COVID as well. We shifted to Daman and shot there. There has not been a single day when I've woken up and I don't have to go anywhere. Then there comes a time when you start missing it," Kush said during his appearance on the podcast, Just Kidding with Sid." 

Premiered in 2008, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of India's longest-running and most iconic television sitcoms. The show revolves around the daily lives of the residents of Gokuldham Co-operative Society. The cast includes Dilip Joshi, Amit Bhatt, Nitish Bhaluni, Sachin Shroff, Sunayana Fozdar, Mandar Chandwadkar and more.

The conversation started when Amrapali was getting changed inside the house. She indirectly asked Qazi Touqeer to step out of the changing area. Mahhi then helped him understand that Amrapali wanted some privacy, after which Qazi left.

Once he was out, Mahhi made a joke about the situation. She said, “Jata nahi yaha se, uske man tha dekhne ka. Keh raha, ‘Maine dekhna hai Bhabhi ko saree pehnte hue.'” 

The comment soon became a talking point among the housemates. For Amrapali, however, the concern was not simply about the joke. She felt that the repeated use of “Bhabhi” could be taken differently by people watching the show, especially those familiar with Bhojpuri culture.

Amrapali later decided to speak directly to Mahhi instead of letting the matter grow. During their conversation, she explained why she was worried about the reaction from her fans.

She told Mahhi, “Yaar Mahhi ji, Bhojpuri culture mein bhabhi ji wala mazaak... woh log offence na lein bas.”

Mahhi then explained that she did not mean anything negative by the word. She said, “Mujhe pata hai bhabhi maa samaan hoti hai.”

Amrapali And Mahhi Clarify Their Comments

The two actors later addressed the issue together and apologised to Bhojpuri audiences and the industry. Mahhi made it clear that her comment was not directed at Bhojpuri culture.

She said, “Guys, maine bhabhi Bhojpuri ke usme nahi bola. Main sirf masti kar rahi thi.”

Amrapali also joined in and addressed viewers, saying, “We love our Bhabhis and Bhaujis. We genuinely love you.”

Amrapali further explained that “Bhabhi” is used as a respectful term in Bhojpuri culture. She also pointed out that references to the word are common in Bhojpuri songs and entertainment. Mahhi stood by the fact that her comment was made only in a fun way.

By the end of the conversation, both made it clear that there was no intention to insult anyone. Amrapali also reassured viewers that the use of the word did not mean that they were targeting any person or section of the industry.

Hosted by Salman Khan, Bigg Boss 20 premiered on September 6. New episodes of the reality show stream daily on JioHotstar at 9 pm and air on Colors TV at 10.30 pm.

The megastar spoke about this side of the show in his latest post on his personal Tumblr account. Big B said that listening to contestants talk about their personal struggles can affect him while he is also expected to continue with his role as the host.

“Some contestants come with such grave personal stories, that it becomes difficult to conduct not just our feelings for them but also to continue hosting the show,” he wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan added that he did not want to reveal too much about what happens during these conversations. However, he made it clear that some of the stories have stayed with him.

“I shall not indulge more because it would take away some elements from the understanding that a host gives to the Channel .. but it has been a heart-breaking experience,” he admitted.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan is set to return as Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin's Kalki 2898 AD: Part 2.

The first film, released in 2024, was set in a dystopian future in 2898 AD. The story brought together characters played by Amitabh, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.

Amitabh played Ashwatthama in the film, while Kamal Haasan appeared as Supreme Yaskin, Prabhas played Bhairava, Deepika played Sumathi and Disha was seen as Roxie.

Breaking Down The Numbers

On day 5, the film minted Rs 15.85 Cr across 10,686 shows, as per trade tracker Sacnilk.

The numbers were followed by Rs 16 crore on Monday, Rs 36 crore on Sunday, Rs 32 crore on Saturday and Rs 25.75 crore on Friday respectively.

The net collection of the film in India stands at Rs 125.60 crore, while the gross stands at Rs 149.97 crore.

Overseas, the film collected Rs 3.50 crore on day 5, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 27 crore.

This pushes the worldwide gross collection to Rs ₹176.97 crore.

About Mirzapur - The Movie

The film introduces new actors such as Ravi Kishan and Jitendra Kumar, who have joined the Mirzapur mayhem. With the original cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu, Sheeba Chaddha and Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal is seen immersing himself into the skin of Guddu Bhaiya, aspiring to build an empire to rule the Purvanchal region of Uttar Pradesh. Gore, violence and blood are synonymous with the series. The film takes a different trajectory in terms of storyline, interpersonal relationships between characters, and twists and turns.

The film has been directed by Gurmeet Singh.

After registering a stellar weekend, Mirzapur the movie, continues its heroic run at the box office. After five days, the film has minted Rs 125.60 crore at the domestic box office, the gross stands at Rs 149.97 crore.

A video that is now circulating widely online appears to show Apoorva sharing a kiss with Amin Jaz, the podcast host and DJ she has been linked to. In the clip, Apoorva is seen in a halter-neck dress standing close to a DJ who appears to be Amin.

The controversy started on Sunday when Rapperiya Baalam claimed that he holds the copyright to "Shoorveer", a song dedicated to Maharana Pratap. He objected to the track being used in Mirzapur: The Movie, particularly because it is played in the context of Munna Bhaiyya, whose character is shown indulging in violence, abuse and drugs.

Trouper Records, the label on whose channel the song was originally released, has challenged Rapperiya Baalam's allegations. However, the singer has maintained that the copyright for the song belongs to him. Speaking exclusively to SCREEN, his brother and spokesperson explained why the family is now taking legal action against the makers.

Rapperiya Baalam Claims Copyright 

According to his brother, Rapperiya Baalam had worked with Trouper Records in the past. Although he was not officially a partner at the time, there was an understanding that he would eventually become a 50 per cent partner. 

"Rapperiya Baalam and Trouper Records used to work together earlier. While Rapperiya Baalam was not a partner on the documents, he was working with them. As per the commitment, he was going to legally become a 50 percent partner with the records after a few years. This song had been released before the partnership happened; for all the songs Rapperiya Baalam made for that channel, he didn't get paid. Later, when the partnership discussions began, Trouper Records started delaying the issue. Unfortunately, no NOC was ever signed for the songs he made," his brother said.

He claimed that Rapperiya Baalam later started his own channel and secured copyright documents for the songs in his real name, Ashok Manda.

"All copyright-related documents for Shoorveer are in Rapperiya Baalam's real name, Ashok Manda. He had gotten the copyright made in his name for this particular song, and we later made 9-10 songs in the Shoorveer series. We have copyright certificates for all of them; we have an NOC from the writer as well," he said.

Why Is Rapperiya Baalam Unhappy With Mirzapur?

For the artiste, the dispute is not only about copyright. He believes the song has been used in a context that goes against the reason it was originally created.

The "Shoorveer" series was intended to introduce younger audiences to Indian history and the stories of historical figures through music. According to Rapperiya Baalam's brother, that is why the use of the song alongside Munna Bhaiyya is particularly upsetting.

"These songs are not commercial; the idea behind them was next generation is connected to our history. We wanted the kids to learn history through rap music and know the stories about our leaders. Every artist has a dream to have a song in a good film; it was our dream too. But particularly with this series, we have some ideologies attached. In Mirzapur, Munna Bhaiyya is abusing and consuming drugs, and to portray his character, they have added this song to the background music. It's an insult to our Rajasthani culture and to Maharana Pratap. If a youngster sees this, he will associate a character like Munna Bhaiyya with Maharana Pratap. It will portray a wrong idea."

The family also questioned how the song was licensed to the film if, as they claim, Rapperiya Baalam holds its copyright.

"The song is on the Trouper Records channel, but we have the copyright. If it's being used in a film, it has to get permission from us. They cannot license it; it's illegal. Even the Mirzapur makers are responsible for this; they should have checked the proper documents before licensing happened. Excel Entertainment's mistake is that they chose a song dedicated to Maharana Pratap to portray a goon; it's the wrong selection."

Family Contacted Farhan Akhtar And Ritesh Sidhwani

Rapperiya Baalam and his family have also tried to contact Mirzapur producers Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. They claim that while Farhan did not respond, Ritesh's team said they would get in touch.

"We messaged Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Farhan didn't reply; Ritesh said his team will talk to us. We don't want to talk to the team; we want to speak with them directly. We want to understand why they did this. We want the song to be removed from Mirzapur; it's not made for this film. It is hurting our sentiments and ideology by portraying it wrongly. We demand that the song shouldn't be a part of this film. We won't permit this song to be used at any cost. We don't wish to speak to anyone at Trouper Records either," they said.

Rapperiya Baalam Demands Apology 

The singer has now confirmed that a legal notice has been sent to Excel Entertainment. He said the demand to remove the song remains unchanged.

"We have sent a legal notice to the makers; it's in process. Our stand is the same; we will not allow this song to be used. This song in Mirzapur spoils Maharana Pratapji's image," he said.

He has also made an unusual additional demand. Apart from removing the song and issuing an apology, he wants the makers to build a school dedicated to Maharana Pratap.

"We want them to remove the song, issue an apology, and we have made these songs for the next generation, so we want them to build a school in Maharana Pratap's name where kids learn about these great leaders and their history. These demands are mentioned in the legal notice too," he added.

In several photos, Ranveer and Deepika can be seen with Dua, playing with her and enjoying quiet family moments.

In one of the photos, Ranveer can be seen gently embracing Deepika as she shows her baby bump. The intimate pictures capture the couple's excitement as they wait to welcome their first child.

Dua was born on September 8, 2024. The couple has mostly kept their daughter away from the spotlight.

Deepika and Ranveer's Relationship Timeline

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's romantic drama, Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. The two later shared the screen in films including Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, while their on-screen chemistry blossomed into a relationship off-screen.

After dating for several years, Deepika and Ranveer got engaged secretly in 2015. Three years later, the couple married in a grand ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, on November 14, 2018. Their wedding featured ceremonies reflecting both Deepika's Konkani heritage and Ranveer's Sindhi roots.

The couple embraced parenthood for the first time in 2024 with the birth of their daughter, Dua. Deepika and Ranveer later announced that they were expecting their second child on April 19 this year.

What's Next For Deepika And Ranveer?

On the professional front, Deepika will return to screens with King. The action project, made under the direction of Siddharth Anand, is headlined by Shah Rukh Khan.

The film also brings talented actors, including Suhana Khan, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, Abhishek Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Abhay Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji and Anil Kapoor.

Deepika also has Raaka lined up in her kitty. In the Atlee directorial, the actor will share the screen with Allu Arjun. The film is being produced by Sun Pictures.

Meanwhile, Ranveer will be seen in Pralay. It is an upcoming post-apocalyptic zombie survival thriller set in a dystopian, near-future Mumbai devastated by a deadly pandemic.

Speaking to television presenter Ranjini Haridas on her YouTube channel, Aishwarya recalled how the response to the film continued to affect her even after its release. 

“King of Kotha came amid huge hype in 2023. But after that, it felt like the Malayalam industry was afraid to cast me anymore. Not just me; Dulquer and the film's crew also faced trolls. My acting and dialogue delivery were all trolled. But many times, I have also felt that what they say is right,” Aishwarya shared.

The actor also spoke about an incident on the sets of Hello Mummy in 2024. She said an assistant director mocked the way she addressed Dulquer as ‘Rajuvetta' in King of Kotha. The incident stayed with her and made her more aware of how strongly the trolling had affected her.

“Many people made fun of me for the way I called Dulquer ‘Rajuvetta' in the film. It hurt me deeply when an assistant director (AD) called me that and made fun of me during the shooting of Hello Mummy (2024). Like that, many things happened,” she said.

Aishwarya then revealed that she had an advertisement lined up with Dulquer but became worried about how audiences would react to their pairing. She felt the brand could also face a similar backlash.

“After that, I had an ad shoot coming up with Dulquer. But I told the team, ‘The repercussions have been terrible; it will be trouble for you.' I don't think I can work with Dulquer anymore. Such trolls have affected me that much,” the actor said.

About King of Kotha's box office run

King of Kotha marked Abhilash Joshiy's directorial debut and featured Dulquer alongside Aishwarya, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Nyla Usha and Chemban Vinod Jose.

The film, reportedly made on a budget of Rs 50 crore, earned Rs 31.35 crore worldwide, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Deepika And Ranveer's Relationship

Deepika and Ranveer got married on November 14, 2018, in a grand ceremony held in Lake Como, Italy. Their wedding included two ceremonies that reflected Deepika's Konkani heritage and Ranveer's Sindhi background.

The final set turned out to be as closely fought as the first, with neither player managing a break. For me, that's unacceptable journalism," Hesson asserted.
