7 Rounds Fired At Tiger Shroff's Car

Three men riding a motorcycle opened fire at Tiger Shroff's car in Mumbai's Juhu area on Sunday evening. Seven rounds were fired, targeting the vehicle's windshield and side windows. Five bullets struck the car, while two missed their mark.

After firing the fifth shot, the shooter standing near the passenger-side window approached the car and attempted to fire at Tiger Shroff from a close range. The pistol, however, jammed.

Shroff's driver, Firdos Ibrahim Baloch, suffered hand injuries. In a video from the incident site, the actor is seen jumping into the driver's seat and taking charge of the wheel, rushing Baloch to Nanavati Hospital.

Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Takes Responsibility

Soon after the assassination bid, an audio file emerged on social media. In the clip, a man can be heard speaking in Hindi. He claimed to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and took responsibility for the attack.

He said: "I am Anil Pandit. I am like a younger brother to Lawrence Bishnoi. What happened with Tiger Shroff today, we take responsibility for that -- Harman Sandhu and myself."

He added that Tiger Shroff "was counselled, but did not understand us" and issued death threats to those linked with actor Salman Khan.

"In the entire film industry, whoever works without aligning with us, or works with Salman Khan, will be killed. This is the first and last warning."

The speaker also repeated the warning that unless Salman Khan apologises to Lawrence and the animal-loving Bishnoi community -- apparently over his alleged involvement in the blackbuck hunting case -- "then we will not spare anyone in your family, not even your pet dogs".

Past Attacks On People Linked To Salman Khan

This is not the first time people linked to Salman Khan have been attacked. In February 2026, shots were fired at filmmaker Rohit Shetty's Juhu home. A Bishnoi gang associate, Shubham Lonkar, claimed responsibility and named Harman Sandhu as his associate.

Last year, between July and October, shots were fired at comedian and actor Kapil Sharma's cafe in Surrey, Canada, three times.

Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, 66, known for his proximity to several actors, was shot dead by three assailants outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra (East) on the night of October 12, 2024.

On April 14, 2024, two bike-borne men fired at Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartments in Bandra. Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it a "trailer" and the "first and last warning".

Lawrence Bishnoi's Playbook

Every attack is followed by a post on social media - sometimes as a screenshot and sometimes an audio clip - from Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claiming responsibility for the attack, giving a reason for it, and issuing yet another warning.

For instance, an attack on Kapil Sharma's cafe was attributed to the comedian inviting Salman Khan on his Netflix show.

After Baba Siddique was shot dead, a Facebook post attributed to Bishnoi gang associate Shubham Lonkar claimed responsibility. It linked the killing to Siddique's closeness to Salman Khan and to the custodial death of Anuj Thapan, an accused in the firing at the actor's home.

"Whoever helps Salman Khan... keep your accounts in order," the post said, also alleging a link between Salman Khan and Pakistan-based gangster-terrorist Dawood Ibrahim.

Salman Khan reportedly helped pave the way for Tiger Shroff's entry into Bollywood by advising producer Sajid Nadiadwala to launch him. The two have shared stages and have frequently expressed mutual admiration for each other's fitness and dedication to action films.

Lawrence Bishnoi's hatred for actor Salman Khan is linked to the 1998 blackbuck (kala hiran) case. Salman Khan was in Rajasthan, shooting for Sooraj Barjatya's blockbuster Hum Saath Saath Hain.

Salman Khan and some of his co-actors were accused of killing blackbucks in Bhagoda Ki Dhani in Kankani village near Jodhpur. The blackbuck is a protected species under India's Wildlife Protection Act, making the allegations a serious offence.

The blackbuck is considered a sacred animal for the Bishnoi community, known for its commitment towards wildlife protection. Ever since then, Lawrence Bishnoi has repeatedly threatened the actor to apologise for the same, or face consequences.

R-Truth Blames Damian Priest While Sharing His Hospital Update

Truth posted a picture of himself in a hospital gown beside an MRI machine. First he thanked everyone who sent get-well wishes, with a heartfelt message, and then went to his usual comedy.

"I AM OK, Thank you ALL for your support, concerns and get well wishes," Truth wrote on Instagram. "It truly feels amazing to feel and be loved. I'm grateful for you all."

The next line gave the update its comedic twist. Truth joked about October 16 and put all the blame on Priest.

"On 10/16/2026 I almost passed away… Damien Priest tried to kill me… I didn't think he was ThAt serious… But ok, I'll be back."

No specific details about the injury were in the post. But he said he would be back, and that's a good sign after the worrying scene on SmackDown.

Damian Priest Won After Their SmackDown Match Was Stopped

Truth was facing Priest on the October 16 episode of SmackDown when things took a turn. He went down after a top-rope dropkick and couldn't continue the match.

The referee stopped the contest and Priest got the victory. The stoppage didn't look like the planned finish, so concern about Truth's condition came right away.

The Instagram post gave some reassurance, even if he didn't explain what the injury is or how serious it is. And joking about Priest kept their familiar comedic dynamic alive in a pretty worrying situation. R-Truth has been a dynamic and fun wrestler who has kept fans entertained since ages. Adam Pearce Confirms Roman Reigns' Return to Monday Night RAW

Pearce started his preview with the World Heavyweight Champion's return. Reigns missed last week's RAW, but now he's scheduled to appear in San Diego after defending his title against LA Knight at Money in the Bank.

“The OTC, your World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, will be in the house tomorrow night in San Diego,” Pearce said in the video.

The RAW general manager also seemed quite happy about being back in the city, calling San Diego one of his favourite places and his “second home.” So the show goes live worldwide on Netflix, with broadcast scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern and 5 p.m. Pacific.

Joe Hendry Faces JD McDonagh as Penta Takes on Bron Breakker

Hendry's issues with The Judgment Day are not finished, and they will continue inside the ring as he goes one-on-one with McDonagh. Pearce described their recent exchanges as a “bit of a war of words,” which makes this match another chapter in Hendry's feud with the group.

Penta got a different kind of challenge waiting for him. The Money in the Bank winner faces Breakker in his first televised match since claiming the briefcase. Breakker was among the five competitors Penta defeated to win the ladder match, so these two already have some history from that contest. A shared past, one briefcase at stake in the background: this is the setting of their meeting.

Pearce announced both bouts while previewing the show, promising “two matches to get out there” before adding that “so much more” would happen during the broadcast.

But one name was missing from his video, and that was The 946. The heel faction became a regular part of RAW, and Carmelo Hayes joined the group last week. Pearce didn't mention them in his preview, so their place on Monday's broadcast is left unaddressed. 

In an interview with Indian Express Hindi, Dhawan revealed that he was deeply disappointed when SRH bought him back for Rs 5.2 crore at the IPL 2018 mega auction. Prior to entering the auction pool, he had earned Rs 12.5 crore with the franchise during the 2017 season.

When Dhawan's name came up early in the 2018 mega auction, SRH exercised their Right to Match (RTM) card to bring him back at a significantly lower price. The move left the Delhi-born batter heartbroken, as he felt his performances and value warranted a much higher bid.

"I was at the peak of my career at that time, and I felt I deserved at least Rs 10-12 crore. I was regularly playing for India and delivering match-winning performances. However, my name came up first in the auction, and I was sold for just Rs 5.2 crore. It took me some time to come to terms with that figure," Dhawan said.

"SRH's then head coach, VVS Laxman, came to me and asked if something was bothering me. I told him I wasn't happy with what had happened, and we had a long conversation about it. Later, I played that season for SRH, and we reached the final. I scored more than 500 runs and was probably the team's highest run-scorer," he added.

Dhawan also admitted that, if given a chance, there are certain actions he would like to change. However, he stressed that he does not regret the decisions he made during his career.

"I don't regret it, though. Today, I would handle the situation differently because my understanding has grown, but I don't regret my past decisions," he said.  Dhawan's last appearance in the IPL came in 2024 where he captained Punjab Kings. In that season, he scored 152 runs in five matches.

WWE RAW match card, start time and streaming details

WWE RAW begins at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on Monday, October 19, streaming live on Netflix. The show happens at Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.

The women's division could get some time too. IYO Sky is being talked about as a possible challenger to Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, but a match between them isn't confirmed for this episode. Rodriguez may ask Sky to face Roxanne Perez first. Perez, on her side, wants one more shot at Chelsea Green, and this time with the Women's Championship on the line. With so few matches announced, a lot of this episode's weight sits on the promos.

The Intercontinental Championship picture also has some unfinished business. Ethan Page attacked Rey Fenix, and then Chad Gable chased him to the backstage area. Fenix and Gable had just shared a strong title match, so Page could end up facing either of them.

Also, Pechanga Arena carries a bit of WWE history. The venue hosted Vengeance in 2001, when the WWF and WCW World Championships got unified.

Roman Reigns has Bloodline business to handle before Crown Jewel

Reigns is scheduled to face WWE Champion Sami Zayn at Crown Jewel, so his RAW appearance gives him a chance to speak about that matchup. The Bloodline's problems with The 946 is another thing he may bring up.

The 946 added Carmelo Hayes to its ranks last week. Hayes played a key part in the faction's brawl with The Bloodline, where he used crowbar strikes during the fight. So the group now has one more member just as Reigns comes back to the show.

Reigns was also busy last week promoting the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Cody Rhodes is in the cast as well, playing Guile, while Reigns plays Akuma. A match between these two at Crown Jewel would have given WWE a crossover opportunity, but Reigns is currently scheduled to face Zayn instead.

It is worth mentioning that both Atherton and Hussain were part of the commentary team when England last toured Pakistan in 2024.

In the aftermath of the interview, which aired during the Lord's Test, the PCB reportedly threatened to keep its players off the field for the afternoon session in protest.

During the interview, Kasim and Sulaiman alleged that the authorities were "blatantly trying to kill him" through neglect and isolation.

Kasim, Imran's second son with Jemima Goldsmith, said that several political prisoners had died in jail and that the Pakistan government was planning to do the same to his father.

The two also claimed that the country's former prime minister and World Cup-winning captain spends more than 23 hours a day alone in a small cell. They further alleged that the Pakistan authorities had refused to grant them visas on "technical grounds".

However, the Pakistan government denied the claims, saying it had not barred Imran's relatives, lawyers or doctors from meeting him.

The PCB reportedly threatened a player walkout due to the political nature of the interview and also lodged a complaint with Sky Sports. Pakistan's state broadcaster, PTV, did not air the interview domestically.

Imran, who has been in jail since 2023, has reportedly lost 75% of his vision, raising concerns about his health.

Several former cricketers have written to the Pakistan government demanding medical attention for the 1992 World Cup-winning captain.

Speaking to the broadcaster after the washed-out 5th Test between India and West Indies in Bengaluru on Saturday, Gavaskar said on JioStar's 'Haier Cricket Live' that the team needs 4 mainstream bowlers and 2 all-rounders. For him, there's no point in extending the length of the batting order to 8.

"We didn't get to see the bowling. It would have been interesting to see how the Indians bowled in this nine-over game. The takeaway from the series is that, in their bowling, they have to play with at least four regular bowlers. A fifth bowler and a sixth can be your all-rounders, somebody who can bat as well. Somebody like a Naman Dhir, who's more of a batter but who can come in and bowl two or three overs. Axar Patel, who can bowl his four overs," he said.

Gavaskar also pointed out how the management is getting carried away in trying to find a replacement for Hardik Pandya, who arguably is the only player to be equally efficient with both the bat and the ball.

"We sometimes get a little bit carried away with trying to find a replacement for Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya is irreplaceable. If you can't find somebody of his calibre, then go with somebody who will do a slightly different job.

"Naman Dhir is doing that job. He's bowling his overs well, and look at the way he batted in this game. So, I think that is what India need to do because the moment you go with batting up to number eight, you weaken your bowling, and that's where you get beaten," the India cricket legend said.

On the same panel discussion, former India batter Cheteshwar Pujara also had a few inputs to share on India's bowling unit. He stressed the importance of identifying the spin combination going forward.

"You will have to identify players and continue backing them. If the boundary size is small, Kuldeep may not play every game. So, you also need to give the players clarity that they will continue to be part of the Indian team. They may or may not be part of the playing XI regularly, but they are there in the larger setup. That is the message that needs to be communicated to the spinners especially because they can lose confidence pretty quickly in a shorter format. If you concede 40 to 50 runs in your four-over spell, you start to lose confidence, and that has happened with Kuldeep in the past. So, after Varun, it's important to identify your spinners, whether it's Kuldeep or Ravi Bishnoi. Bishnoi hasn't been bowling really well, so we might have to look at another option. It's important to identify whom you want to see in the team over the next couple of years and try to give them enough opportunities," he said.

Pillay's ancestors had left India over 130 years ago, first to Sri Lanka and eventually to South Africa.

The award of the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize to Pillay had sparked celebrations among her relatives in Tamil Nadu's Dindigul district, bringing international recognition close to home. Pillay was born in South Africa's Durban in 1941; she grew up facing poverty and apartheid discrimination.

Tharoor in a post on X, aiming at the government, said the missing congratulatory messages for the Indian-origin woman was "deplorable".

"It's been six days since this remarkable woman of Indian origin won the Nobel Peace Prize. And the government of India, her ancestral homeland, hasn't so much as congratulated her? Shame on the petty men who have made such a deplorable decision," Tharoor said without naming anyone in the post about the woman whose ancestors were from Tamil Nadu, currently a state where the BJP is not in power.

The post included an AI-generated video that traced Pillay's life including the hardships she faced during her long career as a legal professional.

The voiceover went something like this:

"A lawyer walks into a South African courthouse, but there's one door she's forbidden to enter: the judge's chambers. Why? Because she's not white. Tharoor's post, however, received comments from the general public that punched holes in his criticism of the government.

"They should carve out an award for Nobel Hypocrisy. You should be awarded with that title," a user on X, Priyanka, said alluding to Tharoor's perceived attempt at friendship with the Congress's rivals after he lost the party president's electoral race.

Former foreign secretary Kanwal Sibal strongly criticised the Congress leader, calling the post on X "astonishing". He narrated a bit of history to prove his point.

"Navi Pillay has regularly criticised India on human rights during her tenure as the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (2008-2014)... Throughout her tenure, she has had policy frictions with India on human rights issues. India has officially responded to her attacks... What is the case for congratulating her? Simply because she is of Indian origin?" Sibal said.

Another X user, Nalini Rathnam, said, "Waiting for your leader to say a few words about Captain Smit Machchar. Until then..."

Pillay had studied law at the University of Natal and earned a doctorate from Harvard Law School in 1988. Her career included defending anti-apartheid activists and becoming the first non-white woman appointed to South Africa's High Court in 1995.

She subsequently served at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda and as United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. At the Rwanda tribunal, she helped deliver the landmark 1998 Akayesu judgment, which recognised that rape and sexual violence could constitute genocide under specified circumstances.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee honoured her efforts to promote peace and international law.

Ahead of the New Zealand tour, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selectors named Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the T20I squad, and that gave an indication that the management is looking towards experience. Once again, Shami came into focus with the ODI and Test squads set to be announced. However, when the teams were named, Shami had to face disappointment again.

Former India captain Ravi Shastri welcomed the inclusion of Bhuvneshwar, another 36-year-old fast bowler who has been performing brilliantly in the IPL, and also pointed out that Shami has already done enough to be recalled to the ODI and Test squads.

"There is no substitute for experience. When you have a bowler of Bhuvneshwar's quality and experience, it's a no-brainer. With the form he showed in the IPL and his years with India, he'll be ideal for New Zealand conditions," Shastri told Times of India.

"(Shami) He has done enough with both red and white balls to be recalled to the Test and ODI sides," he added.

For the Test matches against New Zealand, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep and Anshul Kamboj are back in the Indian team. Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna make it a pool of five fast bowlers for India. Meanwhile, Gurnoor Brar and Auqib Nabi are the players who have been dropped from the squad that featured in India's most recent Test against Sri Lanka.

In India's ODI squad for the first three matches against New Zealand, Anshul Kamboj, Gurnoor Brar, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna (subject to fitness) and Arshdeep Singh have been selected. Meanwhile, pacers Auqib Nabi and Yash Thakur will feature in the squad for the final two ODIs, replacing Krishna and Kamboj.

What's Happening

The Nelson Dilipkumar-directed film earned Rs 55.85 crore nett in India on its fourth day, taking its total domestic nett collection to Rs 199.90 crore.

According to Sacnilk, the action entertainer recorded an overall occupancy of 62% across 15,473 shows on Sunday. 

Its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 424.25 crore, with contributions from both domestic and overseas markets.

Sunday's earnings marked an 18.2% increase from Saturday, when the film collected Rs 47.25 crore nett in India. The film's domestic gross collection currently stands at Rs 234.25 crore.

Jailer 2 Box Office Collection Day-Wise

Jailer 2 opened in theatres on Thursday, October 15, with an India nett collection of Rs 59.70 crore. The film recorded 55.4% occupancy across 16,599 shows on its opening day.

Collections declined on Friday, October 16, with the film earning Rs 37.10 crore net from 13,157 shows at an occupancy of 48.2%. However, the Rajinikanth-starrer regained momentum over the weekend.

On Saturday, October 17, the film collected Rs 47.25 crore nett across 14,604 shows, with occupancy reaching 53.9%. Sunday saw a further increase, with earnings rising to Rs 55.85 crore and occupancy touching 62%.

The film recorded 36,87,269 footfalls on its fourth day, taking the total number of theatre visits over its first four days to 1,30,21,526.

Tamil Version Leads Jailer 2's Sunday Collections

The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor to Jailer 2's domestic earnings on Sunday. It collected Rs 39.95 crore net from 8,173 shows, recording an occupancy of 80%.

The Telugu version earned Rs 9.50 crore across 2,234 shows, with occupancy at 64.3%. The Hindi version contributed Rs 5.75 crore from 4,902 shows, registering 31% occupancy. Meanwhile, the Kannada version collected Rs 65 lakh from 164 shows at an occupancy of 61%.

A closer look at the language-wise occupancy figures shows that the Tamil version recorded 82.58% overall occupancy for 2D screenings. Morning shows registered 67.08%, while afternoon, evening and night shows recorded 87.08%, 88.77% and 87.38%, respectively.

The Hindi version registered 44.40% overall occupancy, with morning shows at 28.58%, afternoon screenings at 49.83%, evening shows at 47.83% and night shows at 46%.

The Telugu version recorded 61.81% overall occupancy. Its morning shows registered 41.92%, followed by 70.58% in the afternoon, 71.83% in the evening and 62.92% at night.

The film's overseas performance has contributed significantly to its worldwide total. Jailer 2 earned Rs 40 crore from international markets on Sunday, taking its cumulative overseas gross collection to Rs 190 crore.

With its domestic gross standing at Rs 234.25 crore, the film's worldwide gross has reached Rs 424.25 crore after four days in theatres.

Meanwhile, actor Shamna Kasim has expressed gratitude to audiences for the response to her dance appearance in Jailer 2. She also thanked director Nelson Dilipkumar, producer Kalanithi Maran and composer Anirudh Ravichander for giving her the opportunity to be part of the film.

In a video shared on social media, Shamna spoke about getting the chance to share screen space with Rajinikanth, whom she has admired for years. She also mentioned Padayappa as one of her favourite films featuring the veteran actor.

Background

Rajinikanth reprises his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian in the sequel to the 2023 film Jailer. The cast includes S.J. Suryah as Bodhi Kalpak, Mithun Chakraborty as Chakri, Suraj Venjaramoodu as Dileep, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan and Yogi Babu.

Tiger escaped the shooting unhurt, but two members of his staff sustained injuries during the incident. His first visuals after the firing incident have since surfaced, showing him returning home under police escort.

Tiger Shroff's Interaction With Fans

Another viral video shows Tiger Shroff interacting with fans while playing football at a turf in Juhu. The video was recorded around an hour before the firing incident. Several fans can be seen gathered near the turf as Tiger interacts with them. After meeting his fans, the actor returned to playing football.

The firing took place later, when a large crowd had gathered near the Juhu turf.

Tiger Shroff's Driver, Staff Member Injured In Firing

According to a police officer, the incident took place around 7 pm on Sunday when Tiger was leaving Pushpa Park in Juhu after a football session. Three men arrived on a motorcycle and allegedly opened fire as the actor was getting into his car.

While Tiger was unharmed, his driver, Firdous, and another staff member, Umesh Chavan, were injured in the shooting.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Mohit Garg confirmed that two people were injured in the attack. Tiger's driver, Firdous, sustained minor injuries and is out of danger, while another staff member, Umesh Chavan, suffered a bullet injury. Both are undergoing treatment at a hospital. Garg added that Tiger did not sustain any bullet injuries.

Police Deploy 15 Teams To Trace Attackers

Mumbai Police have launched an investigation into the incident and formed 15 teams to trace the unidentified assailants. Investigators are also examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify those involved and establish the motive behind the firing.

The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the attack, which took place as the actor was leaving the location following his football session.

Shooting Incidents Involving Bollywood Personalities

The incident adds to a series of shooting attacks involving members of the Hindi film industry over the years.

In 1997, filmmaker Rajiv Rai survived a shooting outside his Mumbai office. The same year, T-Series founder Gulshan Kumar was shot dead outside a temple in Andheri. In 2000, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan was injured after being shot outside his office in Santacruz.

More recently, gunmen opened fire outside Salman Khan's Bandra residence in April 2024. In September 2025, a similar incident was reported outside actor Disha Patani's family home in Bareilly. In February 2026, filmmaker Rohit Shetty's residence in Juhu was also targeted in a shooting.

The investigation into the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff is currently underway.

Following the incident, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde met the actor at his residence. The first picture of Tiger Shroff after the shooting incident is out. In the picture, the actor is seen with multiple dressings and a bandaged arm.

On Sunday, Tiger was returning after playing football at a club in Pushpa Park, Juhu, when three bike-borne gunmen allegedly fired at least five rounds at his car. Tiger's driver and an autorickshaw driver were injured in the incident. After his driver was injured, Tiger took over the wheel.

Soon after the shooting, two alleged operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Anil Pandit and Harman Sandhu, claimed responsibility for the attack in various social media posts.

"We had called and explained to him (Tiger Shroff), but he did not understand. So today, we explained to him rather well that whoever in the Mumbai film industry does not abide by what we say or work with Salman Khan is next in line. Wait and watch," they said in a post in Hindi, accompanied by a voice message.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said Tiger Shroff suffered injuries to his hand from gunpowder and pieces of broken glass during the firing.
"I met with the actor; he has injuries on his left hand caused by gunpowder and shards of glass. Both he and his mother are quite shaken..." he said.

Shinde said that the government stood by the distressed family and wouldn't tolerate any such incident when public figures being targeted at.
"I have assured them that the state government stands with them in the face of the open threats being directed at public figures... No form of threat will be tolerated," he said.

Disha Patani and Tiger Shroff were rumoured to be dating earlier. The actor opened up about his and Disha Patani's break-up on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee With Karan 7. Karan Johar asked Tiger: "Are you dating her just now because there was a rumoured break-up?" To this, Tiger replied, "Oh really? Well, there has been speculation on us for a very long time. We have always maintained that we are amazing friends and that is what it is today." When Karan Johar asked Tiger, "That's it, so you are single then?", Tiger replied, "Yea, I think so."

AICWA demanded that Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis take the strictest possible action against those behind the attacks. It also called for the arrest of the shooters and those who ordered the firing, action against the extortion network, adequate security for film personalities and their families, and accountability for repeated failures to prevent such attacks.

Taking to X, RGV wrote, "What happened with @iTIGERSHROFF is a never-before-seen phenomenon. Instead of killings relating to extortion, contract murders, settlements, etc., for the first time ever, they seem to be wanting to kill for vanity and pride."

Other Celebs React To The Shooting Incident

Singer Amaal Mallik, Mika Singh, and actor-politician Ravi Kishan have reacted to the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai.

Amaal expressed concern for Tiger's safety and described him as one of the kindest people he knows. Taking to X, he wrote, "Tiger has entertained every generation since his debut & I can't understand why someone who has never knowingly wronged anyone, and is one of the kindest people I know, has to go through this."

He added, "@iTIGERSHROFF, please take care, my bro. You know I'm always with you. Right now, please stand by your family and no one else. What the hell is happening in Mumbai? @MumbaiPolice @mieknathshinde @Dev_Fadnavis please ensure his safety."

Mika Singh also expressed concern over the incident in a video shared on Instagram and said, "To have this happen to Tiger, especially during the festive season, I believe the government should take strict action. What happened to Tiger today can happen to anyone tomorrow."

In the caption accompanying the video, Mika highlighted concerns about public safety in the city.

"Mumbai has always been known as one of the safest cities in India, where people-especially women-have felt confident walking, working, and travelling even late at night. But after the incident involving Tiger Shroff, it raises serious concerns about our safety. No one should have to live in fear on the streets of our own city," he wrote.

He further urged the government and the authorities to take the matter seriously and ensure the safety of citizens. "We need stronger action and accountability so that Mumbai continues to be a city where everyone feels safe, day or night," he added, before wishing Tiger a speedy recovery.

Actor and BJP MP Ravi Kishan also expressed concern over the shooting. Speaking to the media at Patna airport, he said he had faith in the Maharashtra Police and called for strict action against those responsible.

"It is very sad. It is a matter of great concern and a matter for investigation. We have full faith in the Maharashtra Police. An investigation will take place, and those found guilty will receive the harshest possible punishment," he said.

Describing Tiger as an innocent person, Ravi added, "I pray to Mahadev and Mata Rani to protect him. The Maharashtra Police and the Maharashtra government are leaving no stone unturned. Very soon, all those responsible will be caught and given the severest punishment."

The Incident

Tiger was leaving a football stadium in Mumbai after a game when two shooters allegedly fired seven rounds at his car. Five bullets hit the vehicle, injuring his driver and another person.

The shooting caused chaos in the area. After the injured driver got out of the car, the two shooters fled on a bike that their third accomplice had kept ready. Tiger then took the driver's seat and drove his injured driver to Nanavati Hospital.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to Tiger over the phone to enquire about his well-being and assured him that strict action would be taken against the shooters and the mastermind behind the attack. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also met the actor at his residence, where Tiger was seen with bandages on his arms and a dressing on his chest.

Pawan Singh Sings Akshara Singh's Songs

The incident took place during the Durga Mahotsav at the historic Badi Durga Maharani temple in Kalyanpur, Munger district. Pawan Singh was performing at the event when he briefly stopped after a commotion among the audience.

Addressing the crowd, the singer spoke about Akshara and her parents, saying, "Akshara mera babu hai, mera beta hai. Unke pitaji mere bhaiya hain aur unki mataji meri bhabhi hain. Main dil se sorry bola hoon. Agar Akshara ji ke mata-pita ko mere chalte bura mehsoos hua hai aur galat laga hai, toh main bhaiya-bhabhi ko sorry bolta hoon aur unhe pranam karta hoon."

The audience responded with applause. Pawan Singh then asked how many people wanted to see him and Akshara Singh work together again. Several people raised their hands in support of the idea.

Pawan Singh And Akshara Singh's Controversial Past

Pawan Singh and Akshara Singh were rumoured to be in a relationship and became one of the most popular on-screen pairs in the Bhojpuri industry.

However, their relationship reportedly came to an end in 2018 following Pawan Singh's marriage to Jyoti Singh. 

The breakup led to a highly publicised fallout, with Akshara accusing him of mental harassment, physical abuse, threats and attempts to damage her career, following which she filed an FIR against him. 

She also spoke openly about what she described as double standards within the industry, claiming she faced public scrutiny after the split, while later extending support to Pawan's estranged wife, Jyoti Singh, during her divorce and alimony proceedings.

"They won't be able to make a place for Yashasvi. Currently, I feel Ishan Kishan will become your wicketkeeper and opener backup because one guy fits everywhere, and you won't have so many places," Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

"I am a little 50-50 about Yashasvi. He is not even in the team currently, and since Ishan Kishan does the job of a backup opener and keeper, the team thinks about taking an extra all-rounder or fast bowler in such a scenario. They might take a batter less," he added.

Jaiswal has played six ODIs, scoring 285 runs with the help of two centuries. He has an average of 71.25.

Meanwhile, the former India batter backed Nitish Reddy to find a place in the team for the mega event.

"If you keep Nitish Kumar Reddy, you would have to keep a spin-bowling all-rounder out. It could be Washington Sundar. I am saying that because when the tournament starts, the conditions will be good for the fast bowlers," Chopra said.

Reddy has played eight ODI matches for India, scoring 109 runs and scalping eight wickets.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has already announced the schedule for the Men's ODI Cricket World Cup 2027, with India set to open their group-stage campaign against defending champions Australia in Cape Town on October 7.

The 12 teams already confirmed for the group stage have been divided into two groups of six. India, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and Qualifier A form Group A, while New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, England, Bangladesh and Qualifier B make up Group B.

The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash will be played in Johannesburg on October 10.

The makers of the film recently announced that the Nitesh Tiwari directorial will release in theatres worldwide on November 5, ahead of Diwali. The announcement was made on the first day of Navratri.

The film is being made in two parts and will bring the ancient Indian epic to the big screen on a grand scale. Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi portrays Sita, Ravi Dubey plays Lakshman, while Addinath has been cast as Bharath.

Addinath Kothare Recalls First Day On Ramayana Set

Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kothare recalled arriving on the set in Ayodhya on the first day of shooting. He said the main cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey, was present.

“It was absolutely surreal. I remember the first day of shoot when I was there and we were shooting something in Ayodhya… the whole cast was there. Ranbir [Kapoor], Ravi [Dubey], Sai [Pallavi], and everyone," he said.

The actor said he was focused on his character while filming, but the scale of the experience struck him after he returned home. "Obviously when you are shooting in that flow then you are not affected by it as one has to be in that character… but I remember coming back home and sitting with my family and thinking, ‘What just happened today!'" he added.

The actor also spoke about being part of such a large project and praised director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra and cinematographer Pankaj Kumar.

“I am part of something that is so huge. Nitesh [Tiwari] sir, Namit [Malhotra] sir, the DoP Pankaj Kumar… we have the best team in the world. AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, it is a big deal. We have grown up with their music, The Dark Knight and all the other films he has scored… I am part of such a prestigious venture, I feel God has been kind to me that I am in this project,” he said.

About Ramayana

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is planned as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian epic attributed to sage Valmiki. The story follows Lord Rama, the Prince of Ayodhya and his journey through various trials.

The film features an ensemble cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravi Dubey, Sunny Deol, Yash, Anupam Kher, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Kunal Kapoor, Arun Govil, Indira Krishnan and Lara Dutta, among others.

It is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash under Prime Focus Studios, Monster Mind Creations and DNEG. The first part is scheduled to release around Diwali this year, while the second part is planned for Diwali 2027.

The films will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. They will also be available in IMAX theatres. Sony Pictures will oversee international distribution, excluding India, while Dharma Productions will manage distribution across the Hindi-speaking market.

The decline followed a Rs 511 crore exceptional charge towards a proposed full-and-final settlement with the National Asset Reconstruction Company Ltd. (NARCL) over a corporate guarantee furnished by the company for loans to Jaiprakash Associates.

Net profit fell 81.7% to Rs 33.3 crore as compared to Rs 182 crore the previous year in the same period.

Revenue from operations increased 5.1% year-on-year to Rs 1,512.12 crore from Rs 1,438.30 crore. Total income rose to Rs 1,579.34 crore from Rs 1,478.49 crore.

The company's September-quarter earnings therefore reflect the impact of the settlement provision, even as profit before exceptional items and tax improved.
