Ubuntu Linux is faster than Microsoft XP and Vista. Ubuntu utilizes less RAM than XP and has less startup programs for quick startups. Ubuntu is also much more simpler and requires less memory to run than any Windows operating system. Ubuntu also uses less programs for more productivity.

More organized user interface and logical menus and windows make Ubuntu the best choice for all people, not just the computer geeks. Windows XP and Vista complicate things by adding unnecessary features and applications. Ubuntu gives you the basics, and allows you to easily add more programs. Since Ubuntu is based on GNU and UNIX, the lesser used operating system bases, Ubuntu is the safest operating system there is. Ubuntu is immune to viruses, spyware, trojan horses, and other dangerous software that is created for Microsoft Windows computers. The Firefox web browser also contributes to the safety online, with guards against phishing and spoof websites. Ubuntu is clearly the best choice for a safe operating system.

A LiveCD allows the user to run the operating system without changing the computer that is is run on.
