Presenting at fewer than one cell per milliliter of blood and nearly indistinguishable from millions of surrounding maternal cells, intact circulating fetal cells have been too difficult to isolate in an accessible way for clinical use. The cell-based approaches were previously studied across multiple independent publications¹ in more than 1,500 patients, consistently demonstrating that when a fetal cell is captured and sequenced, it provides an accurate result that has extremely high concordance with invasive diagnostic testing. However, these methodologies have stayed too academic, expensive, and inaccessible.

This is the first commercial license of Lummus’ integrated ETJ technology, which offers a proven, reliable solution to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) while minimizing capital costs, operating costs, and carbon emissions. Once complete, the plant will be India’s first capable of producing SAF using ethanol derived from flue gas.

“This is a founding tenet of the company, not a future arm,” Hill said. “Most healthcare companies wait until they have the right amount of extra profit to spin up a philanthropic arm that checks a governance box for pharma. We are doing this on day one, before the money is in the door, because the order matters. Giving is the tenet. Profit follows the tenet, not the other way around.”

The commitment behind Sean’s Friends dates back several years, predating SuperTruth’s incorporation. Hill and his wife, Casey, first sketched the company’s business model around a single question: whether the one-for-one giving model pioneered by TOMS Shoes could be adapted to enterprise software. SuperTruth’s commercial architecture and its giving architecture were developed in parallel through that experience over the seven years that followed. “Sean has had every advantage a child in his situation could have. Most families navigating a rare disease diagnosis do not,” said Hill. “Sean’s Friends is about closing that gap. The decision to launch Sean’s Friends on day one was made privately more than two years ago, in the hospital room where Hill’s son Sean was first diagnosed. The fund is the public form of a commitment Hill made to himself at the time. “The head of research told us in our diagnosis meeting that most of the dollars funding rare disease research come from parents like us. Parents who are already drowning. That has not stopped running in my head since. The system asks the families with the sickest kids to also be the ones writing the checks that fund the cure. That is not sustainable, and it is not right.”

The commitment

Sean’s Friends is a 501(c)(3) charitable vehicle administered through Fidelity Charitable (CGF 1424285). Donors contribute on a tax-free basis, the fund grows tax-free, and grants flow outward only to qualified non-profit research organizations. By design, no dollars in the DAF can return to SuperTruth.

The pledge Hill announced today extends the boundary further. Any future revenue SuperTruth earns from work involving children’s hospitals or pediatric data, including any commercial proceeds tied to pediatric platforms or partnerships, will be directed back into Sean’s Friends to fund the next round of grants.

“We are going to make plenty of money by simply doing our job, solving this problem in every other part of the healthcare ecosystem,” Hill said. “We do not need to make money off children. Saying that out loud, on the wire, where everyone can read it, is the point. If anyone wants to look under the hood, every dollar through this DAF is traceable. That is the standard the rest of the industry should be held to.”

Why pediatric, and why now

The launch arrives against a backdrop in which pediatric and rare disease research is being squeezed from multiple sides. Federal funding has tightened. Foundations have raised billions and produced limited movement to the bedside. AI companies have raised hundreds of billions while children’s hospitals struggle to staff researchers, even in buildings underwritten by named gifts. “This week, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative announced a five-hundred-million-dollar donation so its frontier AI models can sit on top of biological data,” Hill said. “I am not making that up. The asymmetry is the story. Sean’s Friends puts dollars and tools directly into the hands of the people taking care of these kids, with no middleman, no building campaign, no headline donor wing.”

Open by design

Sean’s Friends accepts contributions from any donor and makes grants to any qualified pediatric research organization or family in need. The fund is not exclusive to CHOP. Hill emphasized that the model is designed for use by other parents, other families, and other hospitals.

“If you are a parent who has lived through a diagnosis and you find yourself in a situation where you could use funds to bring your child home, that is what this DAF is for. If you are a children’s hospital or researcher focused on pediatric cases, looking for grant funding to simply do your job that you are being cut from funding to do, or asked to do without funding and with handcuffs on your data, that is what this fund is for. On the flip side, if you want to fund research at the hospital that saved your child, this is a vehicle you can use,” Hill said. “We will help you set it up. The point is not that this is our fund. (“Mountain Province”, the “Company”) (TSX: MPVD) (OTC: MPVD) today announces production and sales results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2026 (“the Quarter” or “Q1 2026”) from the Gahcho Kué Diamond Mine (“GK Mine”). All figures are expressed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise noted.

Q1 2026 Production Takeaways

(all figures reported on a 100% basis unless otherwise stated)

• 2,006,135 carats recovered, a 163% increase compared to Q1 2025 (762,978 carats)
• 2.64 average grade of carats per tonne, a 222% increase compared to Q1 2025 (0.82 carats per tonne)
• 741,480 ore tonnes mined; compares to Q1 2025 ( 0 (nil) ore tonnes mined), as all ore treated came from the stockpile in Q1 2025.
• 759,248 ore tonnes treated, an 18% decrease compared to Q1 2025: (925,773 tonnes treated)

Q1 2026 Sales Results

In the Quarter, 858,173 carats were sold for $40 million (US$29.2million), averaging $47 per carat (US$34 per carat). In Q1 2025, 426,268 carats were sold for $44 million (US$30.7 million), averaging $103 per carat (US$72 per carat).

Further to our news release of March 17, 2026 however, the proceeds of the Company’s diamond sales are paid directly to De Beers Canada Inc. (“De Beers“) pursuant to in-kind election notices previously delivered, and which continue to be delivered, in accordance with the amended and restated joint venture agreement between the Company and De Beers dated March 18, 2025, relating to unpaid cash calls.

Jonathan Comerford, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, commented:

“The first quarter of the year is historically a challenging period for operations due to adverse weather conditions, and Q1 2026 was a particularly cold winter at the GK Mine. During the quarter, total tonnes mined declined significantly compared with Q1 2025, primarily due to the joint venture partners’ decision to pause Tuzo waste stripping to conserve cash, preserve liquidity, and maintain strategic optionality.

Despite these headwinds, Q1 2026 was a record quarter for the mine, with more than 2.0 million carats recovered for the first time. This was achieved at a very high recovered grade of 2.64 carats per tonne. While the grade exceeded expectations, a significant portion of the higher–grade material was in smaller stone sizes, which are currently under the greatest pressure in the diamond market. This explains much of the decline in the average value per carat reported for the period.

As noted in our year–end results commentary, the diamond market continues to be adversely affected by geopolitical uncertainty, including concerns surrounding US tariffs and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. As previously reported, we continue to engage constructively with all stakeholders to navigate this particularly challenging period for the market, which is currently overshadowing a very strong operational performance in terms of carats recovered. We expect to provide a further update on the outcome of these discussions over the coming weeks.”

In the Phase 1b APEX study over 24 weeks in patients with MESI, KSI-101 demonstrated robust and consistent anatomic and visual improvements. Over half of patients achieved at least ≥15-letter gains, and more than 90% of patients achieved resolution of both IRF and SRF by Week 8. Responses were consistent irrespective of different underlying etiologies. Ocular Inflammatory Disease

Ocular inflammatory disease is the fourth leading cause of vision loss among working-age adults in the developed world. Approximately one-third of patients with ocular inflammation develop macular edema, the leading cause of vision loss in this population. Steroids remain the mainstay treatment but can cause significant and permanent ocular adverse effects, especially with long-term use or high doses. The April 2026 Gaps Progress Report, issued by the ANSI Electric Vehicles Standards Panel (EVSP), elevates three safety and infrastructure issues from medium to high priority:

• Fire protection for EV parking and charging in or near older buildings, where existing structures were not designed with EV-related fire risks in mind
• Power export, as bidirectional charging and vehicle-to-grid applications expand
• Cable management, as charging stations see higher utilization and longer cables in public settings

The roadmap identified 37 standardization gaps across vehicle systems, charging infrastructure, grid integration, and cybersecurity. Today’s update reports progress on 17 of those gaps and adds three new ones, giving industry leaders a shared, neutral reference point for tracking where the U.S. stands and where investment and coordination are needed next.
