In the dynamic world of modern business, a multitude of tools is required to continue growing and advancing. Two of the most important business tools available today are operational reporting and market research. A comprehensive grasp of operational reporting and market research is crucial for any business to succeed. Below, we delve deeper into these important aspects of business.

Integrating Market Research for Strategic Business Development

Alt Text: A team of workers doing market research.

Market research is an equally powerful tool for business. It allows companies to get a clear picture of their target market, understand their wants and needs, and identify opportunities and threats.

Tailoring products and services to match consumer needs is impossible without good market research. It provides the kind of nuanced insights that can make a company more competitive in its particular market.

These research efforts can be significantly boosted by collaborating with a reputable research panel company. Such a company can provide access to a broad spectrum of demographic groups, ensuring the validity and reliability of the research data gathered.

When integrated with operational reporting, market research can be a powerful driver of strategic business development and growth.

Understanding the Crucial Role of Operational Reporting in Business

Operational reporting essentially refers to the process of collecting and presenting data to aid in the daily management of operations. It provides insights into the functioning of various operations in real time, helping managers make prompt and accurate decisions.

Through operational reporting, businesses can track performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and monitor progress toward objectives. This is especially useful in fast-paced fields where time-bound decision-making is crucial.

The usefulness of operational reporting cannot be overemphasized. It is a dynamic tool that allows for real-time tracking and analysis of data, greatly enhancing operational efficiency.

Furthermore, operational reporting makes it possible to present and interpret large amounts of data in an easy-to-understand format. This widespread comprehension facilitates informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.

How Operational Reporting Contributes to Business Growth

Alt Text: A plant sprout grows from a cup of coins.

Operational reporting acts as a compass for businesses, pointing out the right direction for growth. By highlighting the operational areas where performance is lagging, it enables pinpoint interventions that can lead to improvement and growth.

Faster, more informed decision-making, facilitated by operational reporting, often translates into time and cost savings. It allows businesses to redirect resources from areas of waste to profitable operations, thereby promoting overall growth.

Additionally, the ability to track performance trends over time provided by operational reporting helps businesses prepare for future growth. It indicates where to invest, what must be improved, and which operations can be expanded.

Thus, operational reporting does not just contribute to business growth in the present; it also lays a firm foundation for future expansion and development.

Top Tools and Techniques for Effective Market Research

There are numerous tools and techniques available for effective market research. Surveys, focus groups, interviews, and observation methods can help gather qualitative and quantitative data about consumers.

Online tools are also becoming increasingly important. For instance, social media analytics and consumer data platforms can help businesses understand consumer behavior, preferences, and trends.

Furthermore, analysis tools can help interpret the data collected and turn it into actionable insights. These insights can inform product development, branding, marketing, and other strategic decisions.

Overall, understanding and effectively utilizing operational reporting and market research tools can prove extraordinarily beneficial for any business growth. Cutting-edge solutions in both areas epitomize the innovative spirit required for success in today’s landscape.

Proposal management is a process where businesses create and submit proposals to win contracts. It involves strategic planning, coordination, and resource allocation to satisfy clients’ demands and expectations. What is proposal management exactly? Let’s dig further into its components and operations.

Managing proposals efficiently requires an understanding of your client’s requirements and expectations. It involves aligning your business’s capabilities with your client’s needs, which entails thorough research and planning.

Another aspect of proposal management is the bundling of your proposal—making sure it is attractive, delivers all the necessary information, and offers unique solutions to the client’s problems.

This whole process aims to achieve one goal—winning contracts. By perfecting its various stages, businesses can improve their chances of success.

Understanding the Importance of Proposal Management in Business

Proposal management is crucial for businesses seeking to secure contracts and clients. It allows for effective communication of the business’s capabilities and solutions, thereby making a positive impression on the clients.

Through proper proposal management, businesses can stand out among competitors. It provides an opportunity to exhibit unique selling propositions and strengths effectively, ensuring the client that they are the best choice.

Moreover, it allows for aligning organizational goals with client needs, leading to better client relationships and potential long-term partnerships.

Thus, effective proposal management serves as a stepping stone toward business growth and profitability.

Steps in the Proposal Management Process

ALT: Business professionals discussing proposal management strategies

The proposal management process begins with defining the opportunity, which involves assessing the client’s needs and gauging the feasibility of meeting them.

Next is the development of a proposal plan that outlines the approach to be taken in addressing the client’s needs effectively. This involves coordinating resources and setting timelines.

Then, the focus shifts to drafting the proposal, including presenting the proposed solutions and emphasizing the business’s strengths and unique offerings. This stage demands excellent communication skills.

The final steps involve reviewing and submitting the proposal and then following up with the client. Feedback is crucial in this phase for future proposal improvements.

How Technology Aids in Proposal Management

In today’s digital era, technology plays a vital role in facilitating proposal management. It helps in effectively organizing and managing the process, increasing efficiency and accuracy.

Project management software provides tools for better coordination and collaboration, making the proposal development process smoother and more consistent across the team.

Moreover, technology aids in reducing human error through automated processes and data analysis capabilities. This leads to better quality proposals and ultimately, increased chances of winning contracts.

Therefore, integrating technology into proposal management is an investment worth considering.

Essential Skills for Effective Proposal Management

Effective proposal management requires a range of skills. Project management skills, including the ability to coordinate resources and track progress, are critical. Proposal managers must also possess leadership skills to guide the team effectively.

Exceptional writing and communication skills are necessary to craft persuasive proposals that appeal to clients. Moreover, negotiation skills play a key role in securing the contract and managing client expectations.

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are crucial for identifying clients’ needs and formulating appropriate solutions.

Lastly, the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is of utmost importance in proposal management.

Altogether, proposal management is an integral aspect of business that requires thoughtful planning, clear communication, and acute responsiveness to clients’ needs. Effectively mastering this process increases the likelihood of securing contracts and fostering long-term, successful business relationships.

If something happens in your life that requires you to deal with an insurance carrier, the last thing that you’ll want is to have to deal with the runaround of insurance companies in addition to whatever life change is taking place. Luckily, there are some things that you can do to help make your communication and dealings easier when working with an insurance carrier, even if you feel like things have been done in bad faith by your insurance in the past.

To help you see how this can be done, here are three tips for dealing with your health insurance and other insurance carriers.

Come Into The Conversation Prepared

The first thing that you want to do before any type of communication with an insurance company is to come into the conversation prepared.

There is all kinds of preparation that you can and should do to make sure that you increase the chances of getting the outcome that you want. For example, you should go over what your insurance policy says so that you know exactly what you’re entitled to as an insurance holder with this company. You’ll also want to have any previous communications handy, especially if they gave you information during those conversations. This way, you can have something firm to back up any claims that you’re making and requests that you have.

Learn What Their Obligations Are

In addition to learning what your insurance policies say and what your options and responsibilities are as a policy holder, you should also learn what the insurance company’s obligations are to you as a policy holder.

Oftentimes, there is a lot of red tape and technicalities that insurance companies use to their advantage to get out of covering you as they should. But if you know what they’re responsible for, like the timing for filing claims or sending out information to you, you can help to hold them accountable.

Keep Calling Until You Get What You Need

Sadly, many insurance companies hope to tire people out by moving slowly, giving them extra paperwork to fill out, automatically denying certain claims that really should have been covered, and more. So if you feel like you have an issue that isn’t being resolved as it should be, keep calling until you get the help that you want and you need. We’ve all heard the old adage that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. So while it can be annoying to have to call every day, sometimes, this is the only way to get insurance companies to take you seriously and get some movement.

If you’re having issues with your insurance company, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you find some ways to work through this.

It’s not an objective opinion, but I definitely think playing Survivor in Dragon Ball: The Breakers is significantly harder than playing the Raider. Playing the Raider means you have more agency over the game’s pacing and you get to play proactively rather than reactively.

When you’re a Survivor, though, you have to base your gameplan off of what the Raider is doing. You’re trying to win, but you’re also trying to “not lose,” and that’s harder to do when you’re a Survivor.

So, I took the time to collect some of my favorite gameplay tips for getting out of the Raider’s crosshairs and winning the round!

Don’t rely on your character’s speed or attacks

First thing’s first: you aren’t going to go faster than a Raider once the early game is over. You can get some extra speed by using a Bulma Bike capsule, especially if it has been maxed out in the Hyperbolic Gym, but otherwise, teamwork is more important than just running.

Speaking of teamwork, combat movement like side dashing and backdashing is powerful mostly for stalling. Like I said, it’s hard to run from the Raider, but you can definitely waste their time by evading and dodging while waiting for your teammates to show up.

In most cases, your attacks are straight-up going to get beaten by the raider’s attacks. Your hitboxes won’t compare to theirs, especially in a 1v1 scenario. Don’t fight the raider solo!

Grapple is effective in short bursts for escaping the Raider when you’re getting aimed at. It’s the closest you can get to reaching their speed, but only for a short time (obviously). Kaioken is a strong attack but requires three full seconds of charge-up time. The Rocket perk is strong if you’re “landing” it as an attack, but that’s hard to do.

Look behind you

It might seem like a simple tip, but everyone in my lobbies seems to ignore it, so I’m putting it here regardless. When you’re flying, make sure to angle the camera so you can see behind you and watch the Raider that’s chasing you.

If you’re looking past them, you won’t be able to dodge attacks, see them charge anything up, or even see if they turn the corner.

The real reason you want to do this, though? You can use the Grapple ability behind the hunter which can be absolutely massive for making an escape. When you fly away from the hunter, you can fly towards the edge and grapple back to the center giving you a map control advantage.

Dodge based on distance

In all situations, make note and keep a mental reminder for the distance that a Raider needs to hit you. Buu and Frieza are very hard to avoid, but some other characters have ki blasts that are easier to get away from. Moving in a parabola helps, but because the hunter is always faster, you only have a little bit of time to escape.

That’s only if they’re smart enough to stop blasting for a second, though. They can easily catch up if they stop attacking, so the extra layer of strategy comes from trying to bait them into max-range attacks. This gives you a dodge but also lets you get completely out of range.

So you bought Elden Ring! Or, like me, your boyfriend gifted it to you for Valentine’s Day. This was my first Souls game — I had played Demon’s Souls briefly back on the PS3, but barely even played through the tutorial on a rented copy.

I also got the game with a list of beginner tips, but I could already tell some of them were for beginners and some were for players who had played other Soulslikes, and not Elden Ring. I hadn’t played any of them, so I isolated 8 of the best tips after I had played past Godrick and Rykard.

I can confidently proclaim these are the 8 best tips for ACTUAL beginners to Elden Ring.

Simply Put: You Gotta Roll

After I finally felt proficient at Elden Ring’s combat, I started calling the game Elden Roll, much to my boyfriend’s chagrin. Shields are great, and the game’s tutorial teaches you how to use them, but they aren’t necessary for melee builds — and they aren’t very popular either.

Why? Well, rolling is how you avoid all damage and shields are how you avoid some damage. Rolling gets you the enemy’s offense and opens them up for counterattacks, and it doesn’t require you to sacrifice your stamina by blocking huge attacks.

If you’re able to predict when the boss’ huge sword falls, you can roll instead of just holding block and be much better off.

Get the crafting kit ASAP

Go north past the starting area and you’ll find the Church of Elleh. Inside the church is an NPC who can sell you the crafting kit for a measly 300 runes.

The crafting kit unlocks nearly every basic consumable recipe in the game; I recommend playing around with these early to find the consumables that work best for your build. You can make special grease to buff your weapon, items to heal your mount, and tons of goodies.

If you’re like me, and didn’t know to go grab the crafting kit until later, you might end up playing through the entire early game without really using these. Don’t ignore them!

Unlock Spirit Summons ASAP too

This is apparently a controversial opinion, but I never want to play through Elden Ring without Spirit Summons because of how much easier they make gameplay. They never do as much damage as a smart player, but they can take aggro and damage away from you and let you smash Light Attack longer.

To unlock them, go to the Church of Elleh where you got the crafting kit, and make sure it’s night time. (Rest at a Site of Grace if it isn’t). Resting while it’s night will trigger a visit from an NPC who gives you the Spirit Calling Bell, and from there, you can unlock other summons to help you through the game.

Managing Weight and Roll Speed

The speed of your dodge roll in Elden Ring is related to the weight of your equipment. Every item you carry has a weight, and if you don’t manage your inventory carefully, you will become too slow to be effective in combat.

The speed of your dodge roll corresponds to a percentage of your equipment weight: a light roll is possible at 30% equipment load, a medium roll at 70%, a heavy roll at 71%, and if you exceed 100% load, you will become overburdened and unable to dodge.

For beginners, I suggest staying in the “medium” range. If you find yourself wanting to carry more items and maintain a quick roll speed, level the Endurance stat.

Weapon Upgrades are Big Game in Elden Ring

One of the best ways to improve your performance in Elden Ring, no matter where you are in the game, is through a weapon upgrade. Weapon levels have a significant impact on the damage you deal, especially against early bosses like Margit. To upgrade your weapons in early levels, visit the Church of Elleh and use the anvil near the shopkeep. Later on, you will need to visit the Roundtable Hold and speak to Blacksmith Hewg, who will allow you to upgrade your weapons and equip new skills.

Roundtable Hold will be unlocked naturally as you progress through the main story, and it acts as a hub throughout the game.

Regular weapons can get up to level 25 through Smithing Stones. Special weapons can get to level 10 with Somber Smithing Stones. You’ll acquire these crafting materials naturally as loot from enemies, chests quests, so don’t stress too hard about them.

Flask Upgrades Are, Too

Your flask is your best friend throughout the entirety of Elden Ring. It’s your main source of healing and mana regeneration. Thankfully, you can upgrade the flask by finding two crafting items.

Sacred Tears: You find these in the ruins of buildings and churches, and they’re used to upgrade the amount that the flask restores.

Golden Seeds: You find these on small trees that glow golden; they upgrade the amount of charges your flask has.

Strength and Dexterity builds will probably allocate all of their charges to Crimson Tears for health, while magic-users will probably allocate some charges to Cerulean Tears for mana.

You Can Make the Map Usable with Fragments

When you first start playing, the World Map is going to just look like it’s covered in fog of war. Or maybe coffee stains. Regardless, to make the map actually usable, you have to find items instead of explore. Too much World of Warcraft conditioned me to just explore if I want to light up the map, but that’s not the case here.

Map Fragments are found at pillars that are usually near main roads. If you’ve already been to a place but can’t find the map fragment to actually make the area explored, open the map and zoom in as far as you can. If you can find an icon that looks like one of the pillars, there’ll be a map fragment there. These icons will only show up if you’ve already trudged through the location, though.

Don’t Level Up Everything

Maybe this goes without saying, but don’t spread your level-up points over every stat. If you don’t focus on one, two or even three stats, you won’t be able to use some of the coolest equipment that requires high stats to use.

Most people will refer to their character’s build in general terms like “Strength build” or “Faith build,” and that’s because those are their core focus stats. Yes, Endurance can raise your weight capacity, but if you really want to blast lasers at the bosses, you should really make sure you focus your points into certain stats and not just level up whichever one you feel like upgrading.

Conversely, don’t bother leveling up your magic capabilities if you’re just going to swing a huge club around like me.

Tactics Ogre: Reborn has been out for some time, so we’ve been able to play through the game and all its story routes. More importantly, we’ve had some time with the endgame, which gives us the ability to make judgments about the class’ individual power levels and separate them into a tier list.

This tier list aims to take into account the early, middle, and end-game. Some classes will be stronger than others based on stat gains, or classes might seem very powerful the moment you get them and slowly get worse — just remember, planning and strategy is at the core of team composition in Tactics Ogre: Reborn, so every class is certainly viable as long as you build around them well.

Enjoy the Tactics Ogre: Reborn class tier list and be sure to comment any disputes you have over the tier placements in the comments below!

S Tier

Patriarch/Matriarch: In the endgame, these are the strongest units period. Stronger than Denam, even. At a baseline, they are a strong Lizard/Lamia only caster. They can use Summons, but instead of Nature’s Touch like some other high-level classes they get tank abilities. Being generic, they are the best targets for body-swapping, which lets you sacrifice a generic unit to give their INT/MND stats to a new body. Despite not having Nature’s Touch, this gives them the highest realistic damage ceiling, and they become near-unkillable with the tank skills as well.

Lord: This is Denam’s unique class, but it only has one unique skill that almost never gets used: First Aid (which is a small passive heal skill, and different from the Ranger’s First Aid). The kicker is that the Lord can use skills from any other class that Denam can use, letting you mix-and-match skills for truly broken builds. There are so many options for Lord that I can’t lay them out all here, but he gets to use a tank skill, a weapon skill, Meditate, and whatever support you want for a unit that gets to do everything.

Princess (Catiua): Lucky Star and Princess’ Whim are the name of the game. Lucky Star can increase the Luck of all nearby units and Princess’ Whim can proc to remove debuffs from nearby allies. Her magic set is varied, including Light support magic, heals, Exorcism, and some draconic magic. She can also use Summon spells, but only Wisplight — though what more could you even ask for? All in all, she’s just very strong at her baseline and only gets stronger as the levels go longer due to Lucky Star.

Dark Priest (Catiua): As a Dark Priest, Catiua debuffs enemies instead of buffing allies. She can throw out Sleep, Silence and Max HP reduction like nobody’s business with multiple passive skills that activate in an area around her. This makes her a popular candidate for the “Stinky” armor set that makes AI ignore a unit when targeting. She becomes a semi-frontline caster that weakens the whole enemy army while killing them.

White Knight: Once you get these, they will be your frontline for the rest of the game if you care to min-max. Velocity Shift is the most individually-powerful skill in the game. It reduces the RT of the user and nearby allies by a flat 35. If the White Knights stick together and Velocity Shift each other, it lets you chain together turns; this is further compounded with auto-skill buff cards, turn reset magic like Paradigm Shift, and any Quicken buffs you can apply. Even besides that game-breaking ability, they also get a Stun-Bringer self-effect, making them efficient debuffers with very little effort! The class is exclusive to Mirdyn, Gildas, Ravness and Ozma.

Knight Commander (Ozma): Ozma gets access to two unique frontline classes and both are ridiculously strong. Intercession gives the Negate buff for resisting magic effects, Ivory Tower is like a stronger Evade that can avoid a whopping three physical attacks, and Intimidate shows up to remove buffs from enemies. She can also Double Attack for a dual-wield build, or use a Beastslayer or Dragonslayer skill to deal with beast enemies. One of the real reasons to use this class is her access to a unique Whip finisher, Demon Rose, which deals crushing damage and charms enemies.

Rune Fencer: This class can do everything! No, really, everything. They are amazing Spear users as Meditate on a melee class lets them spam finishers, they get access to support magic and healing so they can Quicken the entire team in between swings, and in the late-game they can even use Summons alongside Nature’s Touch for huge bonus elemental damage. They also have Conserve MP, making spells free. They are seriously strong and one of the best classes a generic unit can be.

Shaman: This class is exclusive to the Phoraena sisters, Deneb and Iuria. They get Nature’s Touch, Summons, the Apocrypha magic, and staggering INT/MND stats. There’s not much more to say about them; they are the strongest damage-dealing casters in the game, only outmatched by Patriarchs that have been body-snatched for higher INT.

Lich: Nature’s Touch, but no elemental Summons makes them weaker in all-around damage than Shamans, but they make up for it with support. (Thankfully, Liches can still use the Dark summon for single-target damage). Necromancy Magic might not seem impressive, but Curse III and Life Force carry a lot in the late game. Salvation pairs with Life Force nicely; it’s a skill that either distributes the Lich’s MP to allies or sucks up all of theirs for a big cast. Reflection is really, really strong; it doesn’t just negate magic, it reflects it (obviously) and applies to other allies.

Familiar (Fairy): Familiars mostly aren’t worth considering if you aren’t using a Fairy, so we’ll only focus on Fairy Familiars (Gremlins and Pumpkinheads have different spells when familiars). Their loadouts aren’t impressive, nor are their stats, nor is their potential for debuffing the enemy through blowguns and spells. Rather, the ONLY focus here is Lingering Kiss, which splits the Familiar’s HP with a friendly target and resets the target’s RT, giving them another turn. Turn manipulation lets you annihilate the board with your strongest casters or get more free Velocity Shift procs. These little ladies belong in every top army, usually sitting next to your beastmode Shamans and kissing them over and over.

A Tier

Ranger (Vyce): The ranger can use Fusils or 2-handed bows, or he can dual-wield melee weapons, and can use Lobber for support. The real reason he’s so high is because of his build versatility — Double Attack with two separate weapon types lets you have access to double the finishers. You can also use Jiygla’s set and make him a super-strong archer. Or, you can use Lobber along with a weapon-skill earring to make him a grenadier with consumable items… there’s a ton of options, and they’re all very strong.

Berserker: They might seem basic, but their skills are powerful throughout the entire game. Risk Management keeps them alive, and they can dish out massive damage with Berserk and Sanguine Assault. They are a one-note class, in that they want to get in and do as much damage as possible, but they do it very well. For a unique combo, try doing the classic Berserker build using a Pumpkinhead instead of a Human, and use a Warlock for the Empower Golem skill. It’ll stack with Berserk and Sanguine Assault for absurdly high damage numbers.

Hoplite: If you ignored Lizardmen and Lamias throughout your playthrough for Human units, keep reading. Hoplites get access to certain skills you wouldn’t have access to until you get Buccaneer — ones that let you ignore magic damage and physical damage. They can also Stop enemies that are next to them, which is an exceptional debuff that doesn’t show up often. They’re amazing spear users or can brawl up-close while trying to activate the Stop ability. They’re simply amazing frontliners with high damage potential and weapon versatility.

Juggernaut: This is the flipside of the Hoplite and focuses more on tankiness. Juggernauts can Intimidate to remove buffs from enemies, or randomly activate Stop (like the Hoplite), or randomly Silence nearby enemies and reduce their max MP. Juggernauts are very, very strong due to the sheer power of their skillset and massive HP pool. They also throw boulders like beasts for a ranged counterattack which is just the coolest thing ever.

Wicce (Deneb): She can give herself Spellcraft and Spellstrike using a single skill, she can charm units next to her (but not females!) with a passive skill and even has a special active Kiss spell that can Stop and Hobble enemies. Unique for a caster class, she can also use whips, which makes Deneb a kind of mid-to-close range support fighter in many cases. (You can also use Daggers, of course, but that’s not as cool or unique.) She doesn’t get summons or most of the Draconic magic available, but you’ll probably want to use her turns on support magic, finishers, or a Kiss anyway.

Gryphon: Good damage and survivability along with decent loadout options puts Gryphons in A-tier. Numbing Hook is a good stunner and they have a life-sap ability that can help tremendously in tough story fights. These are the only beasts which can fly without rings to do so, but that’s a bit less impressive in the late game. Before you are able to farm Sidhe Rings and other end-game items, Gryphons are amazing at dealing with the backline; they can fly right in and through strong boulders at casters and archers.

Buccaneer: The hallmark abilities here are Speedstar, Evade, and Apostate. Speedstar gives Quicken buff on activation, Evade completely nullifies the next physical attack, and Apostate negates two magic effects at max level. Notably, they can also use Double Attack or Fusils, which gives them many weapon-loadout options. Couple this with naturally high stats (and growths) and they can be very powerful damage dealers with heaps of survivability. This class is actually not exclusive to Azelstan either! It can also be used by Canopus, Denam and Vyce.

Wizard/Enchantress: This is the first dedicated magic user you get outside of Cleric, but don’t be surprised to see them so high up. They have a very strong passive skill that other classes don’t typically get access to: Conserve RT. When it activates, the next spell cast by the Wizard has an RT cost of 0, which lets them cast without putting themselves all the way back in the turn order. Their damage will be less impressive than other casters, especially because they can’t use summons, but they make for amazing debuffers.

Hydra: Dragon Scale is one of the strongest abilities in the game; if Dragons had nothing else besides Dragon Scale, they’d be usable. It’s a simple damage reflect, but the AI does not make an effort to play around it. Hydras get Poison as their status effect on abilities, which makes them strong throughout the entire game. Zombie Hydras are even more effective tanks, because once they get killed with Dragon Scale up, they eventually rise again!

Non-Hydra Dragons: Well, they don’t all get Poison like Hydra, but they all get Dragon Scale. It’s hard to rate all the dragons individually, so they get lumped together; I prefer Water Dragons for most of the game for the Breach effect, but some prefer Fire or Dark.

Fusilier: They are the premier ranged-damage class in some ways. 2-handed fusils get very long range, Course Correction makes that range even more effective, and they get strong finishing moves. The real star here though is Lobber which makes them exceptional backline supports that can heal or revive the entire team. Many use Fusilier as Hobyrim’s class due his uniquely low RT and due to the irony of having a blind blaster.

Dragoon: “Can only do big damage to dragons or beasts” seems like a really niche thing for a unit to do, but those unit types show up throughout the entire game, including the post-game. Dragoons are nearly always useful, even after their skills are made semi-redundant with the Dragonslayer set and when other unique classes are able to use the “-Slayer” abilities. The weapon type diversity works in their favor, too. Using a 1-handed crossbow in addition to a 1-handed hammer lets them excel in midrange and get access to two AoE fire-finishers.

Knight: Out of all the non-unique human classes, this is de facto the strongest tank. Phalanx and Guardian Force drop the enemy damage numbers significantly, and Rampart Aura lets them hold the line. They can also heal instead of doing damage, so they can just sit there and be brick walls forever. They don’t do much outside of that, but if you give them a powerful weapon they can still do serious damage with finishers.

Terror Knight: They’re best when they’re less “knight” and more “terror.” Lament of the Dead is one of the strongest passive abilities, applying Fear to all nearby enemies, and Fearful Impact reduces the RNG element from fear application. Once enemies are feared your team will take less damage and do more, so Terror Knights just make everything else more effective. Their Dark magic isn’t very powerful, but being able to Drain HP or Drain Mind from range can be the difference between winning and losing.

Necromancer: They’re like Liches, but they trade powerful skills like Nature’s Touch and Reflection for undead-support skills (should you choose to use zombies) and a lower RT. There’s not much else to say beyond that; I rate Lich significantly higher because of how powerful Reflect is, but if you’re using a lot of Undead, the Necromancer matches them on a perfectly even footing.

B Tier

Astromancer (Warren): While not a bad casting class, Warren does not bring anything unique to the table outside of the passive skill Stardust Grace which can remove Stun, Silence or Petrify from nearby allies. His stats are high and he can still cast powerful support magic while an Astrologer, but many Warren fans just opt to use him as a Lich or Wizard instead.

Vartan: They’re very strong early, but that’s kind of skewed to how strong Canopus is and how great the stat gains are on the class. They can use magic, ranged weapons, and melee weapons, giving them versatile roles depending on where you want them to fight and what finishers you want to use. Their unique skills that instill an element are strong on their own, but not spectacular. These are great in the early game, but late game, they get outshined in most categories (including by Rune Fencer who will eventually get to use Summons).

Paladin (Lans): Lans gets access to everything the Knight does and some more. Intimidate IV is fantastic, he can remove Gordian Locks randomly, and he has a skill that allows him to sacrifice himself for a revive-chance on your entire party. So, he’s a slightly better knight, and most will use him as a Knight with Intimidate, but he lands himself in B-tier because by the time you get him he’s probably already been outpaced by whatever endgame team you used to get him.

Ninja: Guaranteed debuffs on their attacks makes their niche clear, despite them looking from a distance like a jack-of-all-trades. Ninjitsu spells aren’t very impressive damage-wise or range-wise despite looking very cool. They get access to Double Attack, but don’t have the stats to really back it up — again, despite 1-handed katanas being very cool. You’ll usually use them with a 1-handed melee and ranged weapon in each hand, throwing debuffs around and using Steelstance to survive enemy attacks.

Octopus: They have strong AoE abilities and debuffs but don’t have much damage. Like all beasts, they’re very tanky, too — just not as much as Dragons, Gryphons, Golems or others. They are also limited on non-water maps, relying on a passive skill to allow them to act as if they were in water.

Songstress: Here’s where you can finally use those unique “Instrument” weapons you came across. Instruments come with free “Song” spell casts, and Songs are otherwise unique to Songstress. They’re flimsy when it comes to HP, but they have a surprising amount of debuff utility through instrument finishers to go alongside their buffing. Most of the time, they’ll sing a song to give Spellcraft and some MP to allies; if you’re in need of defense, they can also cast a spell that gives Renewal in an AoE — it’s a buff that doesn’t show up until endgame, but provide healing-over-time. However, between all the casting classes available and all the support classes that make the casters stronger, it’s hard to justify one over a Fairy Familiar. Outside of Iuria you can only get the Songstress class on a Pumpkinhead.

Warlock/Witch: In many ways, these are the “basic caster.” They can use Draconic magic, but not Summons; their stat gains are stronger than Wizard, but they don’t get Conserve RT; they have more damage than an unpowered Rune Fencer casting a missile spell, but they’ll have less than a Shaman at any stage in the game. They uniquely get Empower Golems and Golemsbane, which uniquely makes them work well alongside Pumpkinheads (who count as Golems). If you want to run the Pumpkinhead Berserker massive-damage-combo with Empower Golem you’ll need one, but otherwise, Warlocks aren’t anything special.

Beast Tamer: If you’re using a dedicated Beast or Dragon team, they get to punch up above their weight by buffing the rest of your team. Outside of that, though, their focus is mostly on Lobber for healing and support. They don’t get any magic and don’t get any impressive weapon skills to make them all-star damage dealers, but they’re definitely usable.

Swordmaster: Unfortunately, the name feels like a misnomer. They aren’t that strong with their unique 2-handed Katanas. They also have unique War Dance spells for buffing and debuffing, but with a low MND stat, they don’t hit that often. Pre-empt lets them anticipate attacks with a counterattack of their own; between that and Mind’s Eye, their niche lies mostly as a “tricky support frontliner and 1v1 master.” They aren’t bad by any means, but it can be awkward to find the space to add one to your army and position in a way that lets them pull their weight without your entire team dying to Acid Rain III or another random AoE spell. (If you’re in the end-game and looking to make a new body-snatched unit, having a high MND stat will make the Swordmaster’s dances more effective. You can also give them a Sweepblade for free Summon casts on top of that and have an absolutely diabolical Swordmater unit, and it’s a great candidate for the Stinky Set if you’re not using Dark Catiua. However, it still won’t show off much actual “swordmastery.”)

Cyclops: In previous versions of Tactics Ogre, the Cyclops’ identity was as a magic-using beast. Now, their niche is in strong passive skills like Howl that stun enemies around them. Outside of that, they don’t do much else, as their melee damage and spell damage are low, but their skills are universally usable anyway.

Cockatrice: They fly and are bulky, but not as much as the Gryphon. They have more (and better) status-effect abilities, but have a harder time hitting them. All beasts share similar weaknesses (no finishing moves, can’t use equipment, etc.) so for the Cockatrice it comes down to if you want the flying and the debuffs.

Archer: The archer is a straightforward class, but their damage is problematic. They are great at sniping squishies, but ping nearly everything else for a pittance of damage — usually 1 at a time. They are great in the early-game when they let you kill a boss early and quickly, or get rid of a cleric before the boss gets healed, but their niche gets replaced quickly. In the uber-late-game, getting Jiygla set bonus changes things, but even then, the Jiygla bow usually goes on Vyce.

Cleric: Major Heal is a really good spell when Mother’s Mercy procs, but otherwise, Clerics get outmoded by healing items for a significant portion of the game. Revive is nice to have, but it can be accomplished by Blessing Stone too. Exorcism is unique for a while…until you are able to craft it on items and slap it on your Lord. They aren’t bad Quicken-bots, but then again, why not use a Rune Fencer for that?

C Tier

Warrior: There’s very few reasons to actually use a Warrior. The only niches they can occupy that other units can’t aren’t very impressive (like using Double Impact with Whips). They are usable for sure, but through an entire playthrough I didn’t feel a need to use any after Chapter 2.

Golem: Golems are extremely hard to kill — harder than any other beast-type unit — but they don’t have the utility or status effects of the other beasts that make them worth it. Gordian Lock is a fantastic ability that turns any Golem into an unkillable tower, but it is ultimately unreliable. They have a cool skill that extends the range of their Rampart Aura, giving them the theoretical biggest Rampart in the game. That’s a great strategy if you can plan for it, but ultimately very niche. Enchantresses and Warlocks can empower them, but even with an empowerment buff, they won’t be doing much damage at all.

Divine Knight: They get access to unique spells with powerful effects, like Requiem, but they don’t do much damage and take up an entire skill slot as if they were beasts. Angels don’t get very high stats, or access to summons, so their missile spells and AoE won’t do much either. They fly and get access to Evilsbane, which will empower allies to do more damage to Umbra-type units, but that’s useful mostly in Palace of the Dead and you will already need to get through San Bronsa Ruins, which is harder, to get a Divine Knight. They can still make for powerful utility units, but they aren’t worth the effort required.

On September 15, a rhythm shooter called Metal: Hellsinger was released. The developer of the game is the studio The Outsiders, which previously released Darkborn. In teasers and trailers, we were promised a shooter about a demoness, avenging the hellish creatures to the heavy metal. Move, shoot, and reload weapons to the beat of metal and new metal tracks. This project is already available on the pirates bay proxy so that all lovers of such games will be able to try it out in person. Now let’s talk about the plot.

The Plot

Like in most shooters, the plot in Metal: Hellsinger is not the most important thing. It is more of a ticking box so that the player roughly understands what the game is about. The plot starts with the preface, in which we are told that a certain demoness was banished and deprived of her voice – for this she even had a stylish scarf wrapped around her face.

The main villain is a certain Judge, who has several incarnations-generals. Our task is to go through several circles of hell, at the end of each one fighting the boss and getting a piece of her voice as a reward. After each stage we pass, we’re told a part of the story and shown that we’re not moving forward in vain.

In general, there is nothing remarkable, you can even make a comparison with Painkiller’s story, the only difference is that now we can enjoy the quality of the game’s visuals. However, unlike Painkiller the bosses were screwed up they all are incarnations of the Judge, looking the same, but with different attacks.

Gameplay

This is where it gets a lot more interesting. To dispose of various creatures we have several types of weapons with the ability to use the ult, upon reaching a certain level of rage. In addition, the hero can jump around the arena like the same Dumgai.

Comparisons to Doom come on their own when once again stretching sideways or doing a double jump. Not forgotten are the stuns, which can also be performed on a stunned enemy. You can choose from simple guns like the shotgun and a couple of pistols, and some unique ones, like the crossbow, which shoots explosive bolts and a couple of boomerang blades.

Metal: Hellsinger – Weapon

Each weapon has an alternate fire mode, an ultimatum skill. When the Fury Scale is full, the Ultima can be used. Shotguns can fire a special projectile that goes through all enemies in its path and does tremendous damage. Pistols can create a phantom that fires at enemies.

Rage is another gameplay element that is directly related to many of the game’s mechanics. For example, rage is accumulated by doing things on beat – shooting on the beat, finishing on the beat, and the like. And is lost when the player’s passive behavior.

Add fun local runes, aka passive abilities, which allow you, for example, always have some initial fury or not to lose a series of frags when receiving damage. To get these passives, you have to take tests at the end of each level. There are seven in total and each of them can be improved up to three times.

Conclusion

Metal: Hellsinger is a good rhythm shooter, which has no superfluous elements, and the whole process is tied up with demons slaying to a cheerful and exhilarating metal. The game doesn’t have an outstanding story or cool CGI clips, and the detailing of the backdrops isn’t a masterpiece. But if you love 2016’s Painkiller and Doom shooters and heavy music, this game is for you.

Once you unlock the Lord class in Tactics Ogre: Reborn, the options you get might seem dizzying. By switching to any class, Denam “memorizes” the skills from that class, allowing them to be used as a Lord. This allows Denam to “multiclass” to basically any combination of skills.

Once you have a unit that has access to practically any Human class skill, it is absolutely daunting. Here are some of our favorite builds to use. Feel free to customize them however you see fit!

Fire Hammer Lord

? Hammer weapon skill
? Lament of the Dead
? Phalanx
? Meditate IV

This Denam gets to be a frontliner with a unique gimmick: he’s the only character that can dual-wield two 1H Hammers. Meditate IV allows Denam to use Hammers’ best finisher, which is a multi-target Fire blast that can be used slightly past melee range.

Packing Fire Magic lets you hit multiple enemies with Fire Averse — this is especially fantastic if you are running Cerya as a Shaman, or Deneb as a Fire Wicce.

Lament of the Dead opens up the enemies for multi-target finishers. Phalanx can be any tanky skill you prefer; those who leveled Denam as a Ninja might have a certain taste for Steelstance, for example. If your Denam will be duking it out with a beefy frontline, you can give him Risk Management instead.

Brick House Denam
? Any weapon skill
? Phalanx
? Steelstance
? Lament of the Dead

This is a fun example of stacking two relevant skills. Whereas berserkers do it with Berserk, Mighty Impact and Sanguine Assault for damage, this particular Lord Denam can do it with three tank skills. Phalanx and Steelstance can overlap, giving a gigantic tank boost, and Lament of the Dead protects your whole team from damage.

Remember, the “Frighten” Debuff makes the enemy take some more damage, but also output significantly less damage. Denam will have the tankiness of the Knight, the best skill from the Terror Knight, and some extra Ninja goodness on top.
Alternatively, you can give this Lord build Meditate and take away the weapon skill. You’ll have an unkillable mage spitting out whatever Summon or Support magic you like!

Dark Dread Samurai
? 2H Katana
? Lament of the Dead
? Meditate VI
? Double Impact

Instead of combining Berserker and Terror Knight using Lord’s class combining ability, this build combines Terror Knight with Swordmaster. Using Instill Darkness and a Katana with Dark-Averse as an effect means you’ll have big damage on your first swings if Meditate doesn’t proc.

You can also opt for a support skill, like First Aid, and replace Double Impact. You’ll instead use Meditate’s capabilities for Ghostwail, the 70 MP 2H Katana finisher. Ghostwail also does Dark damage. With Dark Averse already activated from Instill Darkness, you’ll have an easy time killing any enemy.

Light Lord Denam
? 1H Sword
? Phalanx
? Reflection
? First Aid

A certain legendary sword from the main story has the Light element (and causes Light Averse) along with the ability to use a once-per-fight Resurrect. This is convenient if you’re not one of those hardcore gamers going for a no-incapacitation run.

This is the ultimate support tank Denam Lord build. First Aid heals allies, Reflection (though it requires a Lich swap) will provide magic immunity (but better!) to nearby units, and the 1H sword comes with Resurrection — and can be paired with a utility shield. I’m a fan of the Medusa Shield, and the Petrify effect it has comes in handy.

You can also run a 2H Light sword instead so Denam has the ability to chew through health bars easier.

Ultimate Summoner
? Conserve RT
? Conserve MP
? Nature’s Touch
? Meditate VI

No weapon skill needed, as the slight boost in damage is outweighed by the power of each individual skill in tandem. This Denam will be able to fire off Summon spells, the highest single-target damage spells in the game, faster than most other casters due to Conserve RT. However, Wizards (who get access to Conserve RT) don’t get access to Summon spells OR Nature’s Touch which makes elemental casts significantly stronger.

See how much better Lord can be than a normal class?

Totally Ignore It
? Evade
? Reflection
? Preempt
? Hammers
This works well as a Dark lord with Dagda’s Hammer or as a Light lord with any weapon skill for a weapon with Counterattack, as the combo of Preempt, Evade and Counterattack can allow you to totally reverse the attack of an enemy and annihilate them in the process.

However, this build can be altered for basically any 2H you like. It is partially inspired by the Juggernaut and Hoplite classes, which are typically only available for Lizardman, Orc, and Lamia races. Their skills can also be transferred to generic characters through the body snatching mechanic.

Reflection makes for a better Apostate, and gives it to more units than just Denam. If you find that Evade is hurting you, as it can block Denam receiving items or buff casts, feel free to replace it with Meditate IV. If you’re spamming the Fire finisher, consider making this Denam the Fire element as well.

When the cops are near you, just drive into the water. Yes, it’s pretty counterintuitive, but they’ll careen into the water just like you did to get you. You’ll respawn and the cops won’t.

Roadblocks are meant to be your enemy but they actually are pretty useful. If you drive through the cone areas, some of the cars behind you will inevitably slam into trucks or concrete walls. This tip only works for non-spike roadblocks, though.

Spike strip roadblocks have a lot of space between the trucks so you can tell at a distance. Just don’t drive over the strips!

The helicopter is inconsequential compared to the cars. If the cars are gone, you can easily outrun from and hide from the helicopter. Just go to any place that covers the line-of-sight after the cop cars have already left and the helicopter will lose interest and float away.

Stay in a high-class car if you can. If you’re at a high heat level, don’t do low level races, as you may get stuck in a car that makes it harder to outrun the cops.

The cop’s vision that you see on the minimap is completely incorrect. They have vision in a circle around them, not in a cone, and it’s actually smaller than the cone displayed. This is all to say — they can detect you from the side or behind them, so don’t get tricked by the map.

Speaking of the minimap, if you press START the menu will give you a better picture of how many cops there are. You can see more in the menu than you can using the minimap.

Delivery missions at night unlock safehouses, which makes escaping a lot easier. The safehouses will also make you restart closer to meetups, wihch are doubly useful for escaping. If you’re out of sight from cops or you’re still labeled as “Escaping…” you can enter a meetup to make them dissipate.

Cities help more than any place else — tracks, tunnels, and abrupt turns are key for evading the cars’ line of sight and the helicopters after.

This is all you need to be able to play NFS Unbound while effectively escaping chases. Three are some quirks to the system, but once you get the hang of how to outsmart the enemies, the game becomes significantly easier.
