Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

10. Sol Ruca [NR]

Sol Ruca continues her recent fine form after losing the Women's Intercontinental Championship with a victory on Raw over Lyra Valkyria, as Ruca puts herself in the discussion for future championship opportunities.

9. Rey Fenix [NR]

The luchador-focused tournament to crown a new World Heavyweight Championship challenger continued on Raw, with Rey Fenix securing a semi-final spot with his win against AAA's El Fiscal.

8. Dragon Lee [NR]

Rey Fenix is joined by Dragon Lee in the final four of the tournament, as Lee pinned El Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr to get one step closer to a title match with Roman Reigns.

7. Myles Borne & Tavion Heights [-2]

The NXT Tag Team Champions watched as Jackson Drake stole a win from Shiloh Hill on Tuesday night, meaning Myles Borne will need to do double-duty at Heatwave to defend both his belts.

6. Lexis King [NR]

While the Women's Speed Championship is soon to be merged with the Women's North American Championship, the Men's Speed Championship remains around the waist of Lexis King after he beat Lucien Price on Tuesday's NXT.

5. Baron Corbin [-2]

The Men's United States Champion laid the challenge for Sunday Night's Main Event – if Lil Yachty can survive 5 minutes with Baron Corbin, Trick Williams will get another chance to win back the gold.

4. Fatal Influence [-3]

Now in possession of both the Women's United States Championship and the Women's Tag Team Championships, Fatal Influence took a night off to gloat, with Paige, Tiffany Stratton & Chelsea Green the targets of their ridicule.

3. Chad Gable [+4]

Chad Gable's first defense of his newly won Men's Intercontinental Championship was a successful one, defeating the legendary Rey Mysterio to set his reign on a positive course.

2. The MFTs [+2]

After capturing the WWE Tag Team Championships last week, The MFTs were tasked with defending those belts against the former champs Damian Priest & R-Truth on SmackDown. They passed this test, and will be hoping for a reign even longer than their predecessors.

1. CM Punk [+1]

The first-ever match between CM Punk and Kevin Owens ended in controversy, but with Punk's WWE Championship reign still intact. Interference by Sami Zayn allowed Punk to pick up the pin over Owens, but he was laid out with the title by Zayn immediately after.

Je'Von Evans - On Raw, Je'Von Evans scored a win over JD McDonagh, but still finds himself in the crosshairs of Big Cass.

EK Prosper - Emerging victorious over Romeo Moreno, Tristan Angels and LA Parka, EK Prosper earned a shot at Rey Fenix's AAA World Cruiserweight Championship.

Jackson Drake - By beating Shiloh Hill on NXT, Jackson Drake won the right to challenge for the Men's North American Championship, while the rest of Vanity Project wil fight for the NXT Tag Team Championships.

Kelani Jordan & Kali Armstrong - This duo picked up an impressive victory over NXT Women's Champion Kendal Grey and Women's Speed Champion Wren Sinclair.

Lash Legend - On SmackDown, Lash Legend stepped up with a win against former Women's United States Champion Tiffany Stratton.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN RESULTS: AUGUST 21, 2026

Sami Zayn was complaining backstage to Nick Aldis about all the recent injustices. Randy Orton came up behind him to overhear him talking trash about him. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes was in the ring calling out Orton. Aldis went ahead and left, followed by Orton, which upset Zayn. Aldis went to the ring to try to get some decorum, while Orton and Rhodes wanted to fight. Aldis said he's sick of their crap, so if either of them fights before Sunday Night's Main Event, they'll never get another shot at the WWE title. Orton said that Rhodes doesn't have it in him to be as brutal as Orton is, because Randy knows how to be the worst version of himself, whereas Cody is a "good guy" and not The American Nightmare, but "The American Daydream." Rhodes retorted that he will ultimately still be the one to take out Orton "and that is not a prediction, that's a spoiler"—taking Paul Heyman's line for a vague tease.
WWE Tag Team Championship Match: MFTs (c) (Talla Tonga & Tama Tonga) defeated Wepa Up (Damian Priest & R-Truth) by pinfall to retain.
Randy Orton warned CM Punk backstage that he's coming for belt #15. Punk said he's looking forward to it.
Backstage, Chelsea Green, Tiffany Stratton, and Paige were chatting when Fatal Influence interrupted to talk trash, leading to Paige challenging Jacy Jayne for the women's US title and was denied.
Blake Monroe jumped Giulia from behind during her entrance and they awkwardly didn't have a match as she beat her up, but not so much that Giulia was taken out entirely. This sort of just ended.
Hey, if you liked "3 women act weird around each other over one of them being a weirdo and then 3 bitchy women approach them to talk trash and that leads to a challenge to a match" from the previous segment, you'd love Tatum Paxley creeping Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss out until Jade Cargill and Michin and B-Fab approach to, well, talk some trash and then challenge Paxley to a match next week against Michin. What is going on with this episode?
Trick Williams called out Baron Corbin for a title match right then and there. Corbin said the belt is getting a "haircut" right now and said no, because Trick lost their previous two matches, so Lil Yachty used the kendo stick and Corbin got pissed and said he'll give Trick a shot at Sunday Night's Main Event only if Yachty survives 5 minutes with him in Atlanta.
Backstage: Finn Balor and Kevin Owens were talking when Gunther interrupted to say if Owens beats Punk, he doesn't have to worry about Balor, who he didn't even regard as being there because he's a shadow of himself, as Owens needs to worry about The Ring General. Balor said if Owens wins, he'll be waiting.
Lash Legend defeated Tiffany Stratton by pinfall. Legend and Nia Jax continued to beat Stratton after the match until Chelsea Green came out with a kendo stick to run them off.
Another Shinsuke Nakamura vignette aired about him warning the MFTs, this time finally unveiling Hiromu Takahashi, who is going by KYOKI, ending the promo saying Bakusai.
Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: CM Punk (c) retained over Kevin Owens by pinfall due in part to Sami Zayn hitting Owens with the title belt after Owens turned down the idea of using it. Sami used the belt on Punk as well after the match.

WWE EVOLVE RESULTS: AUGUST 19, 2026

Sam Holloway defeated CJ Valor by pinfall with a Choke Bomb. Valor attacked Holloway before the opening bell and The Mog Squad repeatedly tried to give him an advantage, including Santi Rivera striking Holloway while the referee was distracted. Holloway eventually fought off the numbers, knocking Rivera and Jacari Ball from the apron before sending Max Abrams crashing into them and putting Valor away. Dorian Van Dux watched the match from the VIP Lounge.
WWE Evolve Champion Harlem Lewis was featured in a vignette reflecting on how winning the championship has changed his life. Lewis also addressed Harley Riggins and made it clear that, despite already surviving his first title defense, he views his reign as only getting started.
Cutler James defeated Marcus Mathers by pinfall with Dark Matter. Mathers managed to use his speed to overcome James' significant size advantage for stretches of the match and scored several near falls before James caught him coming off the ropes and eventually finished him with Dark Matter. It's Gal, who had been watching from the VIP Lounge, taunted James afterward by telling him he needed some protein. Adriana Rizzo then interviewed James, who confirmed that he has his sights set on the WWE Evolve Championship.
PJ Vasa sent a message to Laynie Luck ahead of their match next week, telling Luck to "come getcho issue" and promising to take her out when they meet one-on-one.
Harley Riggins was the focus of another vignette chronicling his recent run in Evolve. Riggins reiterated that "The Big Rig" is moving forward on his own and believes he is better off riding solo.
Aaron Rourke was advertised to return to WWE Evolve next week.
Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov were featured in another vignette putting over their size and physicality. The pair warned the rest of the Evolve roster that they are bigger, stronger and more dangerous than the competition standing in their way.
Kale Dixon and Alix Brooks complained to Evolve Foreman Timothy Thatcher about Dixon's recent struggles. Thatcher told Dixon that succeeding in Evolve requires putting in the work and booked him against Chazz "Starboy" Hall for next week. Thatcher also announced that Brooks Jensen and Elijah Holyfield will settle their ongoing issues in the first-ever lumberjack match in WWE Evolve history. Zena Sterling then approached Thatcher looking for another opportunity, so he booked her against Layla Diggs for next week. Sterling appeared noticeably less enthusiastic once she heard who her opponent would be.
Sloane Jacobs introduced WWE Evolve Women's Champion Nikkita Lyons for the main event while Veronica Haven and Gianna Capri watched from the VIP Lounge.
WWE Evolve Women's Championship Match: Nikkita Lyons (c) defeated Thea Hail by pinfall to retain the title. Hail pushed Lyons throughout the match and eventually trapped her in a submission hold that had the champion tapping out, but the referee did not see the submission while dealing with the chaos surrounding Anya Rune, Veronica Haven and Gianna Capri at ringside. Rune attempted to use her supposed powers on Haven and Capri, only for Wren Sinclair and Skylar Raye to attack them while Rune was looking away, leading Rune to believe her magic had actually worked when she turned around. With the referee's attention elsewhere, Sloane Jacobs reached into the ring and raked Hail's eyes, allowing Lyons to escape the submission and steal the pinfall victory.
Immediately after Lyons retained the championship, the screen briefly flashed an image of Wendy Choo, teasing the former WWE Evolve Women's Champion's return.

Could Austin Creed Help AEW Level Up Its Video Game Future?

When Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods left WWE earlier this year, the immediate speculation was obvious. Where would they wrestle next? Would they remain together? Which tag teams would be waiting for them? How long would it take before someone found a way to finally give wrestling fans a proper version of The New Day against The Young Bucks?

Those questions are still worth asking. Fightful Select has reported that Austin Creed and Kofi are expected to join AEW soon, although sources stopped short of confirming that contracts had actually been signed. Until they walk through the curtain on Dynamite, Collision or an AEW pay-per-view, that distinction needs to remain in place.

Still, AEW is clearly the destination everyone is looking toward, and it isn't difficult to imagine how the two former New Day members could fit into the current AEW roster. There are obvious matches with FTR, The Young Bucks and any number of other teams. There are years of history with Kenny Omega and the Bucks that could be mined for television. Kofi is a former WWE champion. Creed is a former King of the Ring winner. Together, they are one of the most accomplished tag teams of their generation.

But if Austin Creed does sign with All Elite Wrestling, Tony Khan might be getting something else that could be useful beyond another name on a match card.

He would be getting one of professional wrestling's most established connections to video game culture at precisely the time when AEW should probably start figuring out what it wants its own future in gaming to look like.

Xavier Woods Built a Second Career Around Video Games

Calling Creed a wrestler who happens to like video games undersells what he has built over the past decade.

UpUpDownDown launched in 2015 and grew into something significantly bigger than watching wrestlers kill time with controllers backstage. As Tubefilter covered when the channel first launched, the idea was to combine WWE personalities with the enormous gaming audience on YouTube, with Creed at the center of the project. It eventually grew beyond two million subscribers and became an avenue for WWE talent to display personalities that often had little to do with whatever characters they were playing on Raw and SmackDown.

That was always part of the appeal. Someone might only get a few minutes of television time on WWE programming, but a gaming video could give fans an entirely different reason to become attached to that performer. Friendships, rivalries, jokes and personality quirks could develop naturally without having to be filtered through a wrestling storyline.

Creed's gaming profile also extended beyond WWE's own ecosystem. When G4 was preparing its revival, he campaigned to become part of the network and ultimately became its first announced talent. Variety spoke with Creed about joining G4 in 2020, and he later became involved in a WWE-G4 video game competition series as well.

That's why I wouldn't look at a possible AEW signing and think the only value is sticking Creed and Kofi in the tag team division. If you're hiring someone who has spent years building credibility in gaming, streaming and internet content, why wouldn't you at least pick his brain about a part of your company that has already cost millions of dollars to establish?

Especially when Creed already has a history with some of the people most associated with AEW's gaming side.

Austin Creed, Kenny Omega and The Elite Already Have Gaming History

Long before AEW existed, Xavier Woods and Kenny Omega had their own cross-promotional rivalry through video games. That eventually expanded into The New Day facing Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks in Street Fighter V at E3 2018.

Think about how bizarre that was in context. WWE performers and top stars from another wrestling ecosystem were publicly interacting while representing their respective sides, but they weren't doing it inside a wrestling ring. Gaming provided neutral territory.

Years later, Kenny Omega would become one of the central figures behind AEW's first major console game.

That connection alone doesn't mean Creed should be handed the keys to AEW Games. Being knowledgeable about games does not make someone a game developer, programmer, animator or expert on project management. One of the easiest mistakes wrestling companies can make is assuming being passionate about something is the same as being qualified to execute every part of it.

But there is a huge amount of territory between "make Austin Creed the lead developer" and "ignore everything he knows about the audience."

Creed knows how wrestling fans respond to gaming content. He knows how wrestlers can be incorporated into that content without everything feeling like a corporate advertisement. He understands conventions, streamers, gaming personalities and the value of having wrestlers interact with people who aren't otherwise part of the wrestling bubble.

AEW already has people such as Kenny Omega who understand that overlap. Creed would give the company another person with years of experience actually turning it into content.

AEW Wanted Video Games to Be Part of Its Identity

Gaming wasn't some random licensing idea AEW stumbled into several years after launching. The company talked about making a major wrestling game very early in its existence.

AEW eventually partnered with Yuke's, the developer behind a long list of WWE games, with THQ Nordic publishing what became AEW: Fight Forever. The mission was clear: Don't just make a lower-budget imitation of WWE 2K. Build something that feels more like the accessible wrestling games of the Nintendo 64 era, particularly WWF No Mercy.

That was the right idea.

It may have actually been the best decision associated with the entire project.

THQ Nordic openly promoted Fight Forever around its nostalgic arcade-wrestling approach, and several reviews agreed that the core gameplay had merit. Polygon compared its design favorably to the golden era of wrestling games, while other outlets similarly praised how quickly players could pick it up and start throwing opponents through tables.

The problem wasn't that Fight Forever refused to become WWE 2K.

The problem was that AEW built a game designed around replayable arcade wrestling without providing enough reasons to keep replaying it.

Fight Forever Needed More Than a Good Foundation

If you strip everything else away, Fight Forever can be fun. Matches move quickly. The controls are easier to understand than the increasingly complicated systems in some simulation-heavy wrestling titles. The weapons are ridiculous. The Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch gives the game something that the WWE series can't offer in quite the same way.

But a wrestling game in the 2020s needs to be more than fun for a night when a few friends come over.

Game Informer's review called out the shallow overall package, including the limited creation options and lack of depth beyond the core wrestling. GameSpot similarly landed on the idea of Fight Forever being a midcard debut rather than the main event AEW needed.

Those shortcomings become even more glaring with time.

A wrestling game has a built-in problem that most other games don't. The real-world product constantly changes. New wrestlers sign. Others leave. Championship designs change. Tag teams break up. Someone turns heel. Someone gets new entrance music. Someone who wasn't important enough to make the launch roster becomes world champion a year later.

If your game isn't capable of evolving alongside the television product, it begins feeling outdated almost immediately.

That's where creation tools and online sharing become so important. Wrestling fans have historically filled gaps themselves. Give them enough tools and they will create missing wrestlers, arenas, championships, alternate attires and entire promotions. The more freedom players have, the less dependent the developer is on keeping every single detail perfectly updated.

Fight Forever didn't give its players enough of that freedom.

Road to Elite had some entertaining ideas, but it wasn't expansive enough to carry the game for years. The creation suite wasn't deep enough to compensate for roster omissions. There wasn't an enormous Universe-style sandbox. The game added downloadable wrestlers and new features after launch, including the 30-player Stadium Stampede mode, but the additions never fundamentally transformed Fight Forever into the long-term platform it probably needed to become.

Even when Smark Out Moment looked back on AEW's best and worst of 2023, Fight Forever was part of the broader conversation surrounding what worked and what didn't during that year for the company.

A sequel should learn from all of that rather than simply adding more wrestlers and putting a "2" on the box.

AEW Shouldn't Try to Beat WWE 2K at Being WWE 2K

The biggest mistake AEW could make with another console game would be trying to win a content arms race with WWE.

WWE 2K has too much of a head start.

The current WWE series has had years to rebuild after the WWE 2K20 disaster, expand its modes and refine its systems. WWE 2K26 now advertises hundreds of wrestlers and legends, MyGM, MyRISE, Universe, MyFACTION and an enormous creation ecosystem. Its creation suite alone now supports 200 Create-a-Superstar slots along with expanded image capacity and deeper morphing tools, according to 2K's breakdown of the WWE 2K26 creation features.

AEW isn't realistically going to out-WWE WWE on its second attempt.

It doesn't need to.

Fight Forever was correct to establish a different identity. The follow-up just needs to take that concept much further.

Make the wrestling faster and more accessible. Give players full entrances and better presentation without turning every match into a slow simulation. Expand the creation suite dramatically. Allow community sharing. Make cross-platform play a priority. Update the roster regularly. Give players a proper long-term career or booking mode. Add more distinctly AEW match types. Build online rankings and tournaments that give people reasons to continue playing after they finish whatever single-player content is available.

And maybe most importantly, stop thinking about a wrestling video game as something that is finished when it ships.

If AEW makes another game, the goal should be building a community around it.

Could a Wrestling Game Actually Work as an Esport?

This is where professional wrestling creates an unusual contradiction.

The results of wrestling matches are predetermined. The winner of Jon Moxley vs Kenny Omega isn't decided by which man performs better that night. AEW has writers, producers and Tony Khan deciding where stories need to go.

Put Moxley and Omega into a video game and hand controllers to two players, however, and suddenly the competition is real.

There is no fundamental reason a wrestling game couldn't develop a legitimate competitive scene. The bigger problem is that most wrestling games aren't designed around that goal.

Character ratings can create imbalance. Certain moves inevitably become easier to exploit than others. Created wrestlers can obliterate any concept of competitive fairness if players are allowed to maximize every statistic. Reversal systems can become repetitive. A player who wants to recreate WrestleMania has different priorities from someone who wants to climb a global leaderboard.

Those aren't impossible problems to solve.

Ranked play could standardize attributes while leaving normal exhibition matches untouched. Created characters could be restricted or normalized. Developers could rebalance moves for competitive modes without changing how they function everywhere else. Seasonal ladders could rotate rules and match types. Official tournaments could be streamed through AEW's channels with wrestlers appearing as commentators, coaches or personalities surrounding the competition.

It doesn't need to become the next League of Legends, Street Fighter or Counter-Strike. That's an absurd standard to set.

Even a comparatively small competitive wrestling-game community would give AEW possibilities that Fight Forever never fully tapped into. Livestreams, rankings, sponsored competitions, personalities, tournament brackets, championship events, eSports odds and all the surrounding conversation can turn a multiplayer game into an ongoing community rather than something that disappears from everyone's hard drive three months after launch.

Wrestling might actually be particularly well suited to making that presentation entertaining.

You already have professional talkers on the roster. You already have commentators. You already have performers who understand how to create rivalries and make audiences care about personalities. A tournament between anonymous usernames isn't particularly compelling to a wrestling fan. Put those players into teams coached by AEW wrestlers, let those wrestlers talk trash for them and build toward a tournament final at Starrcast, a gaming convention or an AEW pay-per-view weekend, and suddenly you have something much easier to promote.

Which brings us right back to Austin Creed.

Austin Creed Could Be More Useful Behind a Controller Than AEW Realizes

If Creed joins AEW, nobody should expect him to walk into Tony Khan's office with the design document for Fight Forever 2 under his arm.

That isn't the point.

His value would be understanding how to connect the pieces AEW already has.

Kenny Omega understands gaming. The Young Bucks have already participated in crossover gaming events. AEW has a roster filled with wrestlers who stream, play games and interact with gaming culture. The company has an existing game engine that it reportedly owns. It has the remnants of the AEW Games branding. It has years of feedback from Fight Forever showing what wrestling fans liked and what they thought was missing.

What AEW doesn't appear to have right now is a clear gaming strategy.

In 2025, Tony Khan acknowledged that gaming remains important to AEW fans while also making it clear that wrestling, television and pay-per-view were the company's core priorities. He suggested that AEW could eventually return to games on different platforms without laying out a specific next project, as Cageside Seats covered from Khan's comments.

That uncertainty still exists. In May 2026, Sean Ross Sapp said he had not heard about a new AEW video game being developed, while also noting AEW owns the engine created for Fight Forever, according to 411Mania's coverage of the Fightful report.

Maybe that's actually an opportunity.

AEW doesn't need to announce a $40 million video game the morning Creed signs his contract. Start smaller.

Let Creed host an AEW gaming show. Organize tournaments between wrestlers. Bring in gaming creators. Revisit some of the chemistry he already has with Omega. Experiment with competitive Fight Forever events. Partner with existing game publishers when AEW wrestlers appear as crossover characters. Increase AEW's visibility at conventions. Find out what the audience actually responds to.

If those experiments work, then use what you've learned when deciding what the next AEW wrestling game should actually be.

That's a much smarter approach than deciding "we need Fight Forever 2," spending years and millions of dollars developing it and hoping the audience will still be waiting at the finish line.

AEW's Next Gaming Move Should Be About Building Something That Lasts

Fight Forever doesn't need to be remembered as proof that AEW shouldn't make video games.

It should be remembered as the first attempt.

The core gameplay had enough going for it that throwing the entire concept in the garbage would be unnecessary. The bigger lesson is that an arcade wrestling game needs depth just as much as a simulation does. That depth simply doesn't have to come from the same places.

WWE 2K can have the enormous simulation package.

AEW can focus on speed, accessibility, ridiculous match types, online competition, constant updates and community interaction. Let people create. Let them share. Let them compete. Give them reasons to come back. Build something with a distinct identity instead of selling nostalgia for WWF No Mercy and assuming nostalgia itself will provide longevity.

And if Austin Creed and Kofi do eventually show up in AEW, the obvious wrestling possibilities will receive most of the attention. That's understandable. The matches are why they would be there in the first place.

But one of the smartest things AEW could do would be recognizing that signing a talent sometimes means acquiring more than another wrestler for Dynamite.

Austin Creed spent more than a decade building a recognizable identity at the intersection of professional wrestling and video games. AEW has already spent years trying to establish itself in that exact same space.

If those two paths are about to cross, AEW should see where they can go next.

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS: AUGUST 17, 2026

Promo: Stephanie Vaquer called Liv Morgan out to the ring. Morgan responded alongside Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez, with The Judgment Day eventually using the numbers advantage to overwhelm Vaquer. Becky Lynch ran in for the save, but an accidental collision between Lynch and Vaquer created more tension between them before Morgan sent Lynch into the ring post and Perez hit Vaquer with Pop Rox to leave The Judgment Day standing tall.
Backstage, The Usos escorted an unhappy Solo Sikoa through the building and crossed paths with LA Knight. Jey Uso kept Knight and Sikoa apart and reminded them that Roman Reigns was waiting.
Je'Von Evans defeated JD McDonagh by pinfall with the OG Cutter. Big Cass attacked Evans after the match and initially walked away, only for Evans to call him back for more. Evans briefly fought back until Dominik Mysterio intervened, allowing Cass to continue the assault and leave Evans laid out with a big boot.
World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Round 1 Match: Rey Fenix defeated El Fiscal by pinfall with the Mexican Muscle Buster.
Backstage, Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch argued over their pursuit of Liv Morgan's title and repeatedly getting in each other's way. Lynch warned that as long as Vaquer is chasing the championship, she will have to deal with her as well.
Backstage Promo: Lyra Valkyria claimed she can do everything Sol Ruca does but chooses not to take the same unnecessary risks. Valkyria vowed to make Ruca crash and burn before working her way back toward the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship.
Sol Ruca defeated Lyra Valkyria by pinfall with the Sol Snatcher.
Backstage, The Usos celebrated successfully bringing Solo Sikoa back to Roman Reigns, but Jacob Fatu remained skeptical and noticeably less enthusiastic about the situation.
Backstage Interview with The Vision: Logan Paul boasted that The Vision runs Raw while Austin Theory and Maxxine Dupri celebrated their recent attacks on Alpha Academy. When asked about Oba Femi, Bron Breakker said anything he had to say to Femi would be said to his face.
Promo: Bron Breakker called Oba Femi to the ring to settle their argument over who represents WWE's future. Paul Heyman stopped them from fighting and announced that Breakker vs. Femi had been made official for WWE Sunday Night's Main Event on September 6. Heyman shook hands with both men afterward, leaving Breakker confused by his interaction with Femi.
World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament Round 1 Match: Dragon Lee defeated El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. by pinfall with Operation: Dragon. Lee advanced to face Rey Fenix in the semifinal round.
WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: Chad Gable defeated Rey Mysterio by pinfall to retain. Gable reversed a late pinning attempt into a victory roll for the win. Mysterio showed respect afterward by placing the championship around Gable's waist before the two embraced.
Promo: Jey Uso "delivered" Solo Sikoa to Roman Reigns, who humiliated Sikoa before Jacob Fatu attacked him with a superkick and the Tongan Death Grip. Reigns then named The Usos his captains before LA Knight interrupted. Roman ordered Solo to attack Knight, but Sikoa instead hit Reigns with the Samoan Spike. Sikoa also took out Jey while Knight dropped Jimmy Uso and Roman Reigns with BFTs. Jacob Fatu stood back rather than intervene as Knight and Sikoa escaped together.

EPISODE AIRING AUGUST 15, 2026

AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano brawled through the building and into the ring to open the show. Rey Mysterio tried to separate the two before Dominik landed a low blow. El Grande Americano then accused Dominik of taking from lucha libre rather than giving back to it and vowed to defeat him for the AAA Mega Championship at Triplemania.
AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix defeated Noisy Boy to retain the title. Noisy Boy missed a moonsault late in the match, allowing Fenix to capitalize with a Meteora and the Mexican Muscle Buster for the victory. Penta came out afterward to celebrate with his brother.
Penta addressed his pursuit of Roman Reigns and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship before Los Perros del Mal interrupted. Daga reminded Penta of his history with the group and argued that he would need a family of his own to counter Reigns and The Bloodline. Los Perros offered Penta a shirt and invited him to rejoin the faction, but Penta said he needed time to consider the offer.
La Parka defeated Psycho Clown to advance in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship number one contender's tournament. Psycho Clown hit the Psycho Driver after a referee bump, but there was nobody available to make the count. The lights then went out and the masked Drake Morreaux attacked Psycho Clown. La Parka appeared unaware of the interference and capitalized to score the victory, advancing to face Penta in the semifinals.
Los Perros del Mal confronted Penta backstage for his answer. Penta said he trusted Daga and the established members of the group but questioned whether everyone had earned the right to call themselves part of the family, specifically taking aim at Bronco Nima. Nima challenged Penta to a match for next week. If Penta wins, he can make his own decision about Los Perros del Mal. If Nima wins, Penta must join the faction, raise Nima's hand and acknowledge him as part of the family.

EPISODE AIRING AUGUST 22, 2026

Four-Way Tag Team Match: Los Americanos (Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano) defeated Money Machine (Colmillo de Plata and Garra de Oro), Psycho Circus (Murder Clown and Dave The Clown), and Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro.
Damian Priest was unable to compete at the tapings, so AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio changed the AAA Latin American Championship qualifying match to Omos vs Galeno del Mal. AAA Latin American Championship Qualifying Match: Omos (w/Dorian Roldan) vs Galeno ended in a no contest. Rey Mysterio became involved during the match. After the match was called off, Omos attacked Mysterio and was suspended. Omos continued the attack until El Grande Americano made the save, with Mysterio and El Grande Americano standing tall afterward.
Penta defeated Bronco Nima by pinfall with a small package. As a result, Penta was not required to join Los Perros del Mal. After the match, Los Perros del Mal attacked Bronco and expelled him from the group. Penta then rejected Daga's offer to join Los Perros del Mal, prompting the group to attack Penta. Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix made the save, with Penta, Dragon Lee and Rey Fenix standing tall after the brawl.

EPISODE AIRING AUGUST 29, 2026

Mr. Iguana defeated Taurus.
Triple Threat Match: La Hiedra defeated Lady Shani and Adelicious.
Texano Jr. defeated Dinamico.
El Grande Americano called Pimpinela Escarlata to the ring for a tribute in his hometown of Torreon, with Pimpinela receiving a strong ovation from the crowd.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN RESULTS: AUGUST 14, 2026

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis told Chelsea Green she has to relinquish the interim women's title due to her orbital bone injury. Green gave a passionate speech about all she's had to do in her career to get to that point and appealed to him. Aldis gave her 30 days to get cleared to defend the title. Gunther then interrupted the moment to complain about Kevin Owens being added to the SummerSlam match. Aldis said Owens was in negotiation for that for months, but he actually did Gunther a favor by adding him into it at the last minute. Chelsea and Gunther got into some trash talking, so Matt Cardona ran out to step up to The Ring General, leading to an impromptu match where Gunther defeated Matt Cardona by submission. While Green was still out in the ring, Nia Jax and Lash Legend came out to threaten her. Tiffany Stratton ran to the ring to make the save, but was beaten down by The Irresistible Forces.
Charlotte Flair isn't quite into the idea of Tatum Paxley, but Alexa Bliss is trying to get her to warm up to her, even though Paxley had set up a creepy collage of their images in what looked like a closet or something.
Cody Rhodes talked to Nick Aldis about how he wants Randy Orton. Aldis suggested Sunday Night's Main Event. Sami Zayn came over to complain, so Rhodes suggested they fight tonight. Zayn tried to back out of it, but Aldis gave him a bonus of if he beats Cody, he gets the next title shot against whoever wins between CM Punk and Kevin Owens.
Singles Match for the United States Championship: Baron Corbin (c) defeated Carmelo Hayes by pinfall. Lil Yachty went after Corbin with a kendo stick, but had to retreat. Trick Williams then went after Corbin to end the segment.
Backstage: Chelsea Green thanked Tiffany Stratton for her help, not wanting her to be injured before her title match. Stratton is adamant she's not being stopped in defending her title tonight.
Promo: Kevin Owens aired his dirty laundry about CM Punk, who traded some verbal barbs of his own.
Backstage: Gunther interrupted Nick Aldis talking to Finn Balor, dismissing Balor as being a shadow of himself, so Balor promised to kick his ass and prove he's not.
Triple Threat Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship: MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) defeated Wepa Up (R-Truth and Damian Priest (c)) and The War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) by pinfall to win the titles!
Singles Match for the WWE Women's United States Championship: Jacy Jayne defeated Tiffany Stratton (c) by pinfall to win the title!
Cody Rhodes vs Sami Zayn didn't happen, as Randy Orton brawled with Cody instead.

Originally used as a tournament-style debate over the best heels in wrestling at that specific moment, the segment has now been repackaged into a broader WWE roster temperature check. Instead of focusing only on villains, this edition looks across Raw, SmackDown and NXT to figure out who is on fire, who has cooled off, who is stuck in the middle, and who needs a change before their momentum disappears.

Coming out of SummerSlam and around NXT Heatwave, the panel breaks down which WWE Superstars feel like they are being properly built as the future of the company and which names seem to be losing steam. Are Oba Femi and Bron Breakker both still on track to become franchise players, or is Oba rising while Breakker is starting to fall into a more uncertain spot? Which wrestlers feel like they could realistically be heated up for WrestleMania season, and which ones seem destined for lukewarm creative plans?

MONDAY NIGHT RAW RESULTS: AUGUST 10, 2026

The show started with a promo between Jey Uso (in the ring) and Solo Sikoa (in the crowd), talking some trash and setting up a match between them. If Jey wins, Solo will join The Bloodline, but if Jey loses, The Bloodline should leave Solo alone.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender's Tournament First Round Match: Penta defeated Laredo Kid by pinfall.
Austin Theory defeated Akira Tozawa by pinfall. After the match, Theory had to be stopped by Adam Pearce and officials before he could use a steel chair. Bron Breakker (who was upset earlier in a backstage segment about how Oba Femi is the future) was about to beat down on Tozawa some more until Femi came out, booted Theory out of the way, and nearly had a confrontation with Breakker, but officials separated them.
Rey Mysterio spoke to Cathy Kelley about the tournament. Dragon Lee interrupted to thank Rey for the opportunity. Dirty Dom interrupted to complain that he's not in the tournament, so Dragon Lee challenged him to a match for later.
Stephanie Vaquer cut a promo about making The Judgment Day scared and how the women's title belongs to her. Becky Lynch interrupted to say she deserves the belt instead and that Liv Morgan is setting them back to the 2000s, and she put too much work into breaking that mold to let the division fall back into the same rut. Liv then blindsided Lynch, but Becky fought her off. Vaquer returned to the ring as Morgan retreated, leaving Lynch and Vaquer arguing with each other.
LA Knight talked some trash about Roman Reigns in a backstage interview. Solo Sikoa interrupted to say the attack on Royce Keys from last week could happen to him tonight and to Knight next, giving him a warning.
Dragon Lee defeated Dominik Mysterio by pinfall. Big Cass then attacked Lee after the match and laid him out with East River Crossing. Je'Von Evans tried to make the save, but Cass caught him coming off the ropes with a clothesline before finishing him off with a big boot.
Sol Ruca said she's sick of being stuck in The Judgment Day's orbit and plans to go back after the Women's Intercontinental Championship once she's done with them. Danhausen showed up and offered to be her mystery partner for a discount, but Ruca told him the position had already been filled.
LA Knight complained to Adam Pearce about not being included in the tournament to determine Roman Reigns' next challenger. Pearce promised they would find another path for Knight to get into title contention after the tournament. Knight then crossed paths with Jacob Fatu, who warned him to stop talking about The Bloodline. Knight mocked Fatu for needing permission to attack him, and Fatu threatened to dogwalk him once he gets that permission.
Sol Ruca and Iyo Sky defeated Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez by pinfall. Ruca pinned Perez with the Sol Snatcher.
Bron Breakker confronted Paul Heyman backstage and repeatedly asked whether he thinks Oba Femi is the future of WWE. Heyman said he respects Femi for accomplishing everything he said he would against Brock Lesnar, but turned the question around on Breakker and suggested that Breakker is the one worried Femi might be the future. Heyman said he'll continue respecting Femi until Breakker gives him a reason not to.
Chad Gable approached Rey Mysterio and said he likes what Rey is doing with AAA and the tournament. Gable offered to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Rey, calling him the greatest luchador of all time. Rey accepted the idea, and Gable said he'd take it to Adam Pearce.
Iyo Sky and Sol Ruca celebrated their victory backstage until Lyra Valkyria sarcastically congratulated Ruca and warned her not to get in the way of her pursuit of the Women's Intercontinental Championship. Ruca questioned what Valkyria has done to earn another title opportunity, while Lyra continued complaining about Bayley before storming off.
Jey Uso defeated Solo Sikoa by pinfall. Jimmy Uso came to ringside and tried to interfere, but Solo hit him with a Samoan Spike. The distraction gave Jey the opening to hit Solo with a spear and an Uso Splash for the victory. As a result, Jey will deliver Solo to Roman Reigns and The Bloodline next week.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN results for tonight's episode - August 7, 2026. WWE SmackDown is taking place live at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and this page will provide live coverage with match winners, promo notes, breaking news, key takeaways and all the highlights from WWE's blue brand.

Friday Night SmackDown coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET when the program airs on the USA Network.

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN RESULTS: AUGUST 7, 2026

Promo: Cody Rhodes called out Randy Orton, who didn't show. CM Punk came out. Rhodes asked if Punk knew what Randy would do at SummerSlam. Punk said he didn't, offered to "Two Man Power Trip" a beatdown together on Orton, and told Rhodes that any time he wants to settle their unfinished business to just say when. Kevin Owens then interrupted as Rhodes was leaving so he could talk trash with Punk, leading to Owens pushing Punk and the two of them needing to be separated by officials.
Singles Match for the WWE Men's United States Championship: Baron Corbin (c) retained over Trick Williams by pinfall, cheating again to get the pinfall
Backstage: Sami Zayn complained to Nick Aldis about SummerSlam. Kevin Owens overheard, so Aldis left the two of them to talk, with Owens saying he wants his title shot on August 21st in Toronto. Zayn and Owens chatted about the situation, with Owens saying he admits Zayn got screwed over, but Zayn would have done the same if the shoe was on the other foot. They left things as basically "we're friends, but we're not going to let that get in the way of both of us going for the title" effectively.
Backstage: Baron Corbin was interviewed by Cathy Kelley, who referred to him as having two upsets over Trick Williams. Corbin complained that he's not the underdog and was then attacked by Carmelo Hayes, who told him that they have a title match set for next week.
Fatal Influence quickly interrupted what was going to be a toast between Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton about positive female friendships. It was agreed that if they got a tag team title match right now, Jacy Jayne would get a Women's US Championship shot next week. Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid) retained the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship titles over Chelsea Green and Tiffany Stratton by pinfall. After the match, The Irresistible Forces attacked Green and Stratton.
Backstage Interview: Wepa Up and War Raiders were fired up over how their tag team title match last week was interrupted by the MFTs. R-Truth talked to Nick Aldis about defending their titles against both teams next week. Damian Priest was mad at R-Truth and Nick Aldis for not having the AAA tag team titles also on the line.
Promo: Randy Orton called Cody Rhodes arrogant, explaining that losing to Cody at WrestleMania unlocked his "worst version," and vowing to ensure Cody never holds the WWE title again. Cody fires back that he no longer has to play the good guy and asks, "Who kills Randy Orton?"
Backstage: Sami Zayn was venting more to Johnny Gargano about the title situation. Candice LeRae pointed out that CM Punk was overhearing Zayn complain. Punk told him he has to get into the back of the line. Zayn then yelled at Gargano for letting this happen and not doing anything about it.
Promo: Nikki Bella had a vignette about how Paige lost the tag team titles and their six-woman tag, which is why she turned on her at SummerSlam.
Vignette: Shinsuke Nakamura is back, and he's not alone. He's coming for the MFTs.
Charlotte Flair defeated Jade Cargill by pinfall with some help from Alexa Bliss and a debut on the blue brand for Tatum Paxley!
