WWE RAW RESULTS: June 8, 2026

Oba Femi opened the show to talk about Brock Lesnar. He was interrupted by Dominik Mysterio, who boasted that he's going to beat Femi in their King of the Ring match next week. JD McDonagh tried to attack Femi from behind with a steel chair, but it did maybe 1 HP in damage, and Femi wrecked them both, before saying that we know Rey Mysterio is Dirty Dom's father, but next week, he'll introduce him to his "daddy."
Seth Rollins promised to win the KOTR tournament and beat Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.
Queen of the Ring Tournament Round 1 Fatal 4-Way Match: Liv Morgan defeated Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch, and Chelsea Green
Chad Gable apologized to Penta, who told him if he really needs to make everything good with the luchadors, he needs to speak to Rey Mysterio.
Montez Ford and Seth Rollins chatted backstage about Angelo Dawkins when they were interrupted by The Usos and Jacob Fatu, who wanted to give the message about Jey Uso winning KOTR instead. Rollins took a shot at Jimmy not even being in the tournament and that his statement from earlier wasn't about "the family" but about Roman Reigns himself. "Maybe the best it will ever get for you is being bag boys for Roman." They told Fatu to get him, but Fatu just stared at Rollins and then walked away. Later, he clarified that he acknowledged Reigns, not The Usos.
Women's Intercontinental Championship Match: Sol Ruca (c) defeated Lyra Valkyria by pinfall to retain her title.
Promo: Hey, if you didn't know from the last 40 times this happened, LA Knight said that he doesn't like what's going on with Adam Pearce or The Bloodline and Jey Uso got annoyed about it.
Backstage, Chad Gable apologized to both Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio. Rey told him that he should look back even further and realize the bad things he's done even before he put the El Grande Americano mask on.

Welcome to another edition of POWER RANKINGS from Smark Out Moment! Each week, we will break down the current roster and examine who has gone up the WWE hierarchy and who has unfortunately taken a step down the ladder. Factoring in things such as wins and losses, suspensions, injuries, making a name for oneself, being humiliated, and more, who is at the top of the food chain and who needs to make up some ground next week?

Here is the key code for the rankings shorthand when referencing their position in relation to the previous week:

NR = Not included in last week's rankings at all

+ Green = the number of moves up in the rankings compared to last week

- Red = the number of moves down in the rankings compared to last week

Honorable Mentions = five superstars who just barely missed the cut

10. Dominik Mysterio [NR]

Both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments kicked off this week with a series of Fatal Fourway qualifying matches. In SmackDown's main event, Dominik Mysterio secured his spot in the semi-finals with his win over Bron Breakker, Damian Priest and Trick Williams.

9. Iyo Sky [NR]

Meanwhile on Raw, Iyo Sky outlasted Giulia, Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend to continue her quest to become the new Queen of the Ring at Night of Champions.

8. Brock Lesnar [NR]

At Clash in Italy, Brock Lesnar got his win back against Oba Femi following his loss and supposed retirement at WrestleMania 42, setting the stage for a future rubber match.

7. PENTA [-6]

The Men's Intercontinental Champion tumbles down the rankings after PENTA failed to find victory in his King of the Ring qualifier against Oba Femi, Solo Sikoa and Carmelo Hayes.

6. Seth Rollins [+3]

Seth Rollins's recent win streak continued in Raw's main event, as he took advantage of a title belt shot to pin Bron Breakker, avenging his loss from Backlash.

5. Tony D'Angelo [NR]

The NXT main event saw Tony D'Angelo extend his reign as NXT Men's Champion with his victory over Kam Hendrix. After this, he learned his next challenger would be one of either the newcomers NARAKU or Mason Rook.

4. Sol Ruca [NR]

After being denied a clean win over Becky Lynch at Saturday Night's Main Event, Sol Ruca made sure to get it right at Clash in Italy, beating The Man and taking the Women's Intercontinental Championship in the process.

3. Rhea Ripley [NR]

Rhea Ripley's successful title defense against Jade Cargill at Clash in Italy seemingly ended the feud between these two for now over the WWE Women's Championship.

2. Cody Rhodes [+6]

Cody Rhodes retained the WWE Men's Championship over Gunther in the opener of Clash in Italy. But it wasn't without controversy, as Gunther's foot was under the ropes during the decisive pinfall, meaning a rematch will be coming soon.

1. Roman Reigns [+6]

Tribal Combat capped off the Clash in Italy show, as Roman Reigns withstood the challenge of Jacob Fatu, successfully defending his World Heavyweight Championship and adding Fatu to the latest iteration of the Bloodline stable.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Oba Femi - Although Oba Femi suffered his first loss on the main roster to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy, he bounced back with a win in his King of the Ring qualifier.

Lexis King - The Men's Speed Champion enjoyed a successful first title defense against Romeo Moreno on NXT.

Raquel Rodriguez - SmackDown's Queen of the Ring qualifier saw Raquel Rodriguez advance at the expense of Bayley, Jacy Jayne and Kiana James.

Talla Tonga - In a battle of the big men on SmackDown, Talla Tonga emerged the winner against Royce Keys.

Ricky Saints - The latest iteration of the Ricky Saints-Carmelo Hayes saga happened on SmackDown, with Saints the victor on this occasion.

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: June 5, 2026

Gunther started out complaining about the finish from Clash in Italy. Cody Rhodes came out to say he's right about getting a rematch, saying they should just do it right then and there. Sami Zayn then interrupted to whine about how they both screwed him over. This led to a fight, where Gunther pulled Zayn into the way so Cody dove into Zayn instead, furthering the issues between Cody and Sami.
Backstage, The Miz was on a video call with Kit Wilson while investigating Danhausen's experiments, leading to The Miz getting electrocuted.
After the commercial break, Gunther yelled at Nick Aldis, threatening to get his legal team involved.
Queen of the Ring Tournament Round 1 Fatal 4-Way Match: Raquel Rodriguez defeated Bayley, Kiana James, and Jacy Jayne by pinfall on James. After the match, James lashed out against Giulia for her interference, so they broke up and fought with each other.
Zayn was looking for Johnny Gargano backstage so he could vent about his frustrations. Nick Aldis told Sami to stay out of the Gunther and Cody Rhodes business. Aldis then said he has something to do and can't talk to Sami, as he's about to talk to Chad Gable.
Talla Tonga defeated Royce Keys by pinfall. R-Truth ran out to try to make the save for Keys post-match.
The Judgment Day congratulated Raquel on her win. and reiterated the idea that Liv is more concerned with herself winning the QOTR tournament instead for some more tension.
Damian Priest is upset with R-Truth for trying to help Royce Keys earlier. The AAA tag team champions, War Raiders, came over to Truth to suggest they have a title match in the future for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Promo: Rhea Ripley's in-ring segment was interrupted by Charlotte Flair, followed by Tiffany Stratton, followed by Jade Cargill and her crew
Jade Cargill and Michin defeated Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair by pinfall (with Cargill pinning Stratton)
Fatal Influence were upset backstage over Jacy Jayne not advancing in the QOTR tournament. They then walked over to interrupt Brie Bella and Paige having a photoshoot and attacked them.
More of R-Truth talking to Royce Keys over the saaaaaame fuuuuucking talking points of "Keys and Priest don't trust each other" that we need to apparently hit on 3-4 times EVERY WEEK. Goddamn, SmackDown needs to go back to 2 hours so badly to cut down on this repeat problem.
Ricky Saints defeated Carmelo Hayes by pinfall.
Chelsea Green said that Tiffany Stratton should've had her ringside to help earlier and wanted Stratton to accompany her ringside for her upcoming match, but Stratton said no.
Vignette: Blake Monroe is still just "coming soon" with no set date announced
Lash Legend defeated Chelsea Green by pinfall.
More Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa crap.
Fraxiom spoke to Rey Fenix backstage. Chad Gable apologized to Fenix's face about the disrespect to the lucha culture.
Gunther wants to wait until next week to say a stipulation for his rematch with Cody Rhodes.

Timothy Thatcher talked to Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov, the security guys (and future wrestlers, as Shido Ash is the guy dating Tiffany Stratton right now, if you weren't aware) and basically said "Hey, I'm counting on you to do a better job at being security" even though later on during the Max Abrams and Cappuccino Jones match (Abrams beat Jones by pinfall), they only wanted to stop Marcus Mathers and Sam Holloway instead of also Jacari Ball and Santi Rivera, meaning they're definitely going to be heels at some point soon. Thatcher also announced that some new WWE ID debuts would happen at EVOLVE Succession III, and Nikkita Lyons will get the EVOLVE Women's Championship shot.
Elijah Holyfield defeated Kai Kavari by pinfall.
WWE EVOLVE Women's Championship Match: Wendy Choo (c) retained over Sloane Jacobs by submission. The last few seconds of the show were PJ Vasa and Karmen Petrovic fighting in the VIP Lounge section.

Opening the show, Jacob Fatu acknowledged Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief. However, he also made a point in saying he isn't serving Jey Uso's punk ass.
King of the Ring Tournament Round 1 Fatal 4-Way Match: Oba Femi defeated Carmelo Hayes, Solo Sikoa and Penta
Promo: Sol Ruca will be a fighting champion and put over Becky Lynch while talking about beating her for the Women's Intercontinental Championship at Clash in Italy.
Backstage at Clash, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes had a brief confrontation stare down. Watching that on screen were The Usos and Reigns. Reigns told them they have to keep a leash on Jacob Fatu and told Jey Uso to win the King of the Ring tournament and beat Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio defeated Ethan Page and Rusev by pinfall.
Backstage, Adam Pearce told Penta that he's setting up a match for Rey Mysterio to get a shot at the Men's Intercontinental Championship. LA Knight then approached Pearce about how he's giving more power to The Bloodline again.
Queen of the Ring Tournament Round 1 Fatal 4-Way Match: Iyo Sky defeated Giulia, Roxanne Perez and Lash Legend. Giulia took the pin.
Backstage: Maxxine Dupri confronted Adam Pearce about how she isn't in the Queen of the Ring tournament, saying he's overlooked her again. He told her she's at the top of the list if an opening comes up and that he just had to make some tough decisions as the competition is stacked (Uh, how about not having Liv Morgan in the tournament, then, because she's already a world champion?? Logic.) Dupri was told by Otis that he and Akira Tozawa are concerned with her spending a lot of time with Austin Theory, as that guy is bad news. Dupri told them she knows what she's doing and to just trust her.
Backstage: Lyra Valkyria left her interview with Bayley to congratulate Sol Ruca and position herself for a future Women's Intercontinental Championship match for herself, which Bayley was upset about.
Backstage: The Judgment Day were gathered. Roxanne was upset at her loss. Liv Morgan was hyped that she and Dirty Dom will win the King and Queen of the Ring tournament, which then also irked Raquel Rodriguez, as she's in the tournament in her own right and hasn't lost yet.
Seth Rollins defeated Bron Breakker by pinfall.

Singles Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) defeated Gunther by pinfall. Gunther's foot was under the ropes, though. — Good match. I dig it. Let's see a rematch, for sure. I liked that finish as well.
Singles Match for the WWE Women's Championship: Rhea Ripley (c) defeated Jade Cargill by pinfall.— This was another solid match, and I'm glad Ripley retained. Nice pop for Charlotte Flair helping out.
Brock Lesnar defeated Oba Femi by pinfall. — I would have rather Femi won, but this was a good match and I'm down for a third with Femi winning that one.
Singles Match for the WWE Women's Intercontinental Championship: Sol Ruca defeated Becky Lynch (c) by pinfall to win the title!— Great moment in this match with Jessika Carr rolling out of the ring. So well done, showing how much of a fluke that Sol Snatcher situation was. Ruca, Lynch, and Carr (who doesn't get as much credit as she should and is easily one of my top refs of all time) are all so great. Big fan of the title change, too.
Tribal Combat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) defeated Jacob Fatu by pinfall. — This was good, but the ending was blah. I didn't expect Fatu to win, but I also don't know if I'm going to like this subservience angle with Fatu that is going to come.

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: May 29, 2026

Jade Cargill's crew and Rhea Ripley with Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair bickered because every episode needs to start off with 20 minutes of wasted time just to set up a match that the general manager somehow didn't already have on the schedule, this one being Bliss against Cargill.
Jade Cargill defeated Alexa Bliss by pinfall.
Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn argued backstage over what went down last week with Zayn mad that Rhodes capitalized to beat him in their match after he was trying to help fight off Gunther, and Cody mad that Sami just watched him getting attacked after the match.
Nick Aldis told Danhausen to "improvise" when it comes to his experiments and to do something in front of the audience, as he's being paid human money for that. The Miz tried to get Aldis to cancel his match against Axiom because Kit Wilson isn't there, as he was turned away at the airport for having too much moisturizer.
Axiom defeated The Miz by pinfall.
R-Truth told Damian Priest backstage that he still isn't medically cleared to compete, so he's talked to Nick Aldis about Royce Keys being Priest's partner for tonight. Priest wasn't down for that, as he can't trust Keys since he knows Solo Sikoa so well. R-Truth was able to get them on the same page by talking about how they have a common enemy in the MFTs.
Sami Zayn was venting some more to Johnny Gargano. Matt Cardona came over to call Zayn a little bitch or a little baby (he didn't finish saying it) for complaining all the time about things not going his way, leading to Zayn challenging him to a match for later.
Rhea Ripley checked on Alexa Bliss, speaking to Charlotte Flair, who wants revenge on Jade Cargill for how she hit Bliss with Jaded on a steel chair.
MFTs (Tama Tonga & Talla Tonga) defeated Damian Priest and Royce Keys by pinfall.
The Miz yelled at Nick Aldis backstage for losing his match due to Danhausen and the lights flickering. They checked on what Danhausen was up to and Danhausen blasted The Miz in the face with a fire extinguisher.
Lots of filler. Then, Tiffany Stratton told Chelsea Green that she appreciates what she did for her last week, but "it's not that deep" (translation: "we're not actually friends") which Green was upset about.
Sami Zayn defeated Matt Cardona by pinfall.
Gunther promised Nick Aldis backstage that he would only attack Cody Rhodes verbally.
Promo: Trick Williams announced he'll be entering the King of the Ring tournament. Ricky Saints and Carmelo Hayes interrupted to both talk about how they want to get the US title, and both ended up looking weak compared to Trick's insults.

The Most Surprising Returns in WWE History

Reuniting always feels so good. Especially in WWE.

The global leader in sports entertainment is no stranger to hosting familiar faces after they leave the company. These returns actually become part of the draw. Fans get so used to seeing certain marquee headliners weekly. When they do leave for other endeavors or retirement, that absence increases interest in watching them inside the ropes once more.

Go ahead and name an iconic wrestler who left WWE, either permanently or just while taking a break. From The Rock and John Cena to The Undertaker and Kane, the wait for their prospective returns took on a life of its own.

Given the number of legendary reunions the WWE has hosted over the years, we thought it'd be a good time to take a look at some of the most iconic. Whether they were planned well in advance and known to the public or a secret as part of a twist ending, all of these moments are tattooed to memory for diehard pro wrestling fans.

Priority for this list will be given to the returns that actually caught us off-guard. This is a roundabout way of saying none of The Rock's highly anticipated, famously predictable returns will be making the cut.

The Undertaker, Judgement Day (May 2000)

Few WWE members are as recognizable as The Undertaker. He was a brand unto himself. Adults of a certain age most definitely had some version of his action figure, and it was most likely that one that played his infamous entrance music when swiping the medal plates on his fate across a compatible titan tron.

Back in 2000, The Undertaker had been on the shelf for around eight months with a torn pec. During the waning moments of an hour-long iron man match main event between The Rock and Triple H at the pay-per-view event Judgment Day, he returned in a way that's still talked about decades later.

Riding down the entrance ramp in Harley, The Undertaker sent fans into a feeding frenzy. As ESPN's Sean Coyle would later note, this reemergence marked the beginning of The Undertaker's "American Badass" persona interregnum. It wouldn't last long, as he returned to his tried and true "The Deadman" character by 2004. But it was a special period all the same.

Triple H - RAW (January 2002)

Though high-profile returns were often saved for pay-per-view events, the sudden appearances at RAW or SmackDown are some of the most memorable.

It is easier to disarm fans, both in the arena and at home, with these returns. Something seismic is supposed to happen at a pay-per-view event. The weekly cards are more standard. They set up and play out the lion's share of storylines needed to make riveting pay-per-view events.

Not surprisingly, Triple H, of all people, delivered one of the most easy-to-recount returns at RAW. The superstar had been recovering from a torn left quad he suffered during a 2001 match...that he finished, because of course he finished it. Once he was ready to rock, the company thought it would behoove him to return at Madison Square Garden, the arena in New York City that hosted the first-ever WrestleMania.

Despite playing the part of a widely loathed heel at the time of his quad injury, Triple returned to a thundering applause in front of the MSG crowd. What's more, this reemergence served as the then-up-and-comer's path to securing the main event at WrestleMania 18 later that year, alongside Chris Jericho himself.

John Cena - Royal Rumble (January 2008)

John Cena is arguably on Mt. Rushmore of WWE superstars. This is to say, keeping his 2008 return a secret was considered a no-go. Mind you, this is largely because it wasn't supposed to take place. Not this soon anyway.

At the time, Cena was nursing a torn pectoral muscle. In the WWE space, this is an injury that usually guarantees a five- or six-month absence. Heck, depending on the severity of the tear and whether surgery is required, it can often be much longer. Cody Rhodes missed more than seven months after having surgery on a torn pectoral in 2022.

Cena is apparently his own species, though. He returned at the Royal Rumble in 2008 less than four months removed from his pec tear. That is absolutely bonkers. Unbelievable, even. Almost 20 years later, it still sounds like a folktale. You want to know what US sportsbook is the best? Try to find out who had it pegged ahead of time that Cena would come out at #30, since nobody saw that coming.

Suffice it to say, the Madison Square Garden fans attending the event were beyond shocked. Cena made his return in surprising fashion on the final entrant, immediately racked up four eliminations, including that of Triple H, and won the event.

CM Punk - Survivor Series (November 2023)

CM Punk's path back to WWE in 2023 was long and winding. He initially left the company in 2014 while battling injuries and burnout galore. Still, he continued to sprinkle in a few guest appearances, which led many to believe he'd eventually return.

And return he did. Just not how many expected.

After spending the better part of the decade away from the sport, CM Punk joined AEW, which he called home for two years. Just a few months following that stint, though, he rejoined the WWE at the Survivor Series: WarGames in his hometown of Chicago.

The return was handled perfectly. While speculation had run rampant, WarGames appeared to be cutting out for the evening. Just when you thought it was over, CM Punk's Cult of Personality music hit, and the fans in attendance went truly bananas.

This return is doubly sweet because it's among the ones that didn't act as a goodbye. At the age of 47, CM Punk is still with the WWE today. And it is this return that set the stage with some of the sport's most iconic rivalries in recent vintage, including his storylines opposite Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre.

How WWE Builds a Pay-Per-View Card: The Logic Behind Match Placement and Booking Order

A bad PPV card isn't just a bad night. No, it's a booking philosophy failure that the crowd feels before the first match even starts.

This is how WWE actually constructs a pay-per-view from top to bottom, why match placement matters as much as match quality and what separates a card that builds momentum from one that runs out of steam by the co-main event.

The instinct when evaluating a WWE pay-per-view card is to treat it like a playlist. A collection of matches ranked by importance, slotted in descending order of star power. That's how a casual viewer reads it. It's not how WWE builds it, but rather, how the live crowd experiences it.

A well-constructed PPV card functions as a single continuous narrative. Each match sets an emotional temperature for the next one. The opener establishes energy. The mid-card either sustains or recovers it. The co-main resets the crowd for a peak. The main event delivers the payoff the entire night has been building toward. When that architecture works, the crowd is exactly where WWE needs them to be at every stage. When it doesn't, no individual match quality saves it.

This is why booking order is a creative decision with real consequences, and why the history of WWE pay-per-view supercards shows a clear evolution in how the company thinks about pacing versus star power.

What the Opener Actually Does

The opening match on a WWE pay-per-view carries more responsibility than its position suggests. It's not where the biggest names go, but it's where the entire night's energy gets established, and a crowd that doesn't engage early is a crowd that takes time to recover.

WWE has historically used the opener for one of two purposes: a high energy athletic match that gets the crowd on their feet immediately, or a mid-card title match with enough stakes to feel meaningful without burning the emotional investment needed later. Tag team matches and ladder matches appear in the opener slot with notable frequency for exactly this reason. They generate crowd noise quickly and don't require deep character investment to pop.

The worst version of an opener is a match that belongs lower on the card but got moved up for logistics reasons. The crowd hasn't fully arrived mentally, the match asks for emotional investment that hasn't been earned yet and the night starts flat. It's recoverable, but it costs the show something.

The Mid-Card Problem Nobody Talks About

The middle of a WWE pay-per-view card is where most booking failures actually live, and it's the section that gets the least analytical attention because nothing catastrophic happens there. The damage is quieter.

A mid-card slot done right serves as either a pressure valve or a momentum builder. A well-placed comedy segment or a shorter decisive match gives the crowd a chance to reset before the next emotional peak. A mid-card title match with a clean finish gives a secondary storyline a proper conclusion without overstaying its welcome.

The mid-card problem is overloading it. When WWE has too many matches of equal weight sitting in the middle two hours of a four-hour card, crowd fatigue sets in before the co-main event even starts. The live audience (and the television audience) has a finite amount of sustained investment to give. Spending it all in the middle means the final hour is fighting an uphill battle regardless of what's booked there.

This is something sharp wrestling fans track instinctively when a card gets announced, and increasingly, it's something that sportsbook analysts factor into PPV match betting lines, with platforms behind a DraftKings promo offering odds across individual match outcomes and championship changes that reflect not just the expected result but the narrative logic of where each match sits on the card. A title match in the mid-card slot with short odds toward the champion retaining reads very differently from the same match in the co-main position.

The Co-Main Slot Is Harder to Book Than the Main Event

Counterintuitive but consistent: the co-main event is the most difficult slot on the card to book successfully. The main event has one job: close the show, deliver the payoff, send the crowd home satisfied or talking. The co-main has to do something harder: peak without finishing.

It needs to be significant enough to justify its position, emotionally involving enough to keep a crowd that's been sitting for three-plus hours fully engaged and structured to hand the main event an audience that's energized rather than spent. That's a narrow window to thread, and you can see exactly how WWE attempted to manage it by looking at how the WrestleMania 42 card was constructed, with multiple title matches distributed across the card specifically to avoid stacking the emotional weight in one place.

Why the Main Event Has the Easiest Job on the Card

By the time the main event starts, WWE's booking job is largely done. A crowd that has been correctly managed through the opener, mid-card and co-main arrives at the main event already invested. Truth is, the match doesn't have to manufacture stakes from scratch. Not at all. At the end of the day, it just has to deliver on them... one way or another.

This is why main event quality is often overstated as the primary driver of a PPV's success. A genuinely great main event on a poorly constructed card still feels anticlimactic, meaning the crowd has already spent itself and no amount of in-ring quality fully compensates for that. A good-but-not-great main event on a well-built card can feel like a classic simply because the crowd is where it needs to be emotionally.

The cards that get remembered as all-time great shows (not just great main events) are almost always the ones where the architecture held up from bell to bell. The main event gets the glory because it closes the show, but the real work happened hours earlier. That's the actual craft of pay-per-view booking, and it's the part that gets the least credit when it works.

WWE Men's Intercontinental Championship Match: Penta (c) defeated Je'Von Evans by pinfall. After the match, Je'Von Evans raised Penta's hand, but was clearly upset, and stormed away.
Logan Paul has a torn tricep and has to vacate his half of the World Tag Team Championship. Paul Heyman told Austin Theory that Bron Breakker will replace him as champion. Theory then attacked Joe Hendry.
Backstage, Seth Rollins argued with Montez Ford (with Angelo Dawkins between the two), setting up Ford to challenge Rollins to a match tonight.

Interview: Becky Lynch talked trash about Sol Ruca, who she'll face this Sunday at Clash in Italy if Ruca's injury doesn't get in the way of it, but since WWE is still advertising it, that must mean she's okay enough.

Darby Allin ran MJF off, and Foley put him over in return and gave him a pep talk about how he needs to retain the title tonight to prove people wrong and represent the people like himself who weren't picked to become the stars they became.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

Some really great matches here. AEW does "wrestling" events better than no one, for the most part. I still think the shows are too long and I would have removed some of the pre-show stuff, as there is some fat to be trimmed, but nothing was of low quality. There were some Match of the Year candidates and things like Stadium Stampede were fun. This could be a major contender for event of the year for me.

10. Dominik Mysterio [-5]

The AAA Mega Champion was unable to help his Judgment Day cohort JD McDonagh score a victory over Finn Balor in their Street Fight on Raw – in fact he directly contributed to McDonagh's defeat.

9. The Vanity Project [NR]

The Vanity Project's successful defense of their NXT Tag Team Championships was the final straw for DarkState, who proceeded to kick Saquon Shugars out of the group.

8. Tatum Paxley [NR]

Another title match on NXT saw Tatum Paxley survive the challenge of newcomer Lizzy Rain for her Women's North American Championship. However, a post-match beatdown by Zaria means there's no shortage of future challengers.

7. Oba Femi [-3]

Awaiting his next open challenge victim, Oba Femi was instead attacked by the presumably retired Brock Lesnar, who dropped Femi with 4 F-5s. This sets up a rematch at Clash in Italy, and we know how that's going to go…

6. Paige & Brie Bella [NR]

Although the match quality is well below standard, Paige & Brie Bella are proving to be fighting champions, with their latest defense happening on Raw against The Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez & Raquel Rodriguez.

5. Becky Lynch [-2]

The Women's Intercontinental Champion accepted Sol Ruca's challenge for a match at Saturday Night's Main Event, but stopped short of putting her title on the line.

4. Tiffany Stratton [+5]

Thanks to a bit of help from the jilted Chelsea Green at ringside, Tiffany Stratton retained her Women's United States Championship over Lash Legend on SmackDown.

3. Cody Rhodes [NR or -# or +3]

As he prepares to battle Gunther at Clash in Italy, Cody Rhodes warmed up in the SmackDown main event with a win against Sami Zayn. But when Gunther went on the attack, Zayn didn't come to Rhodes's aid.

The World Heavyweight Champion continues to spin his wheels on Raw, with Jacob Fatu challenging him to Tribal Combat at Clash in Italy for the title.

1. Trick Williams [+1]

The Men's United States Champion rises to the top of the Power Rankings after his non-title victory over his former best friend Carmelo Hayes on SmackDown.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Finn Balor - In a Street Fight grudge match between former Tag Team Champions, Finn Balor emerged victorious over JD McDonagh on Raw.

Seth Rollins - In what has become an increasingly rare sight, Seth Rollins actually won a singles match on Raw against Austin Theory.

Mason Rook & Kam Hendrix - NXT newcomers Mason Rook & Kam Hendrix scored a statement win over Tony D'Angelo & Myles Borne on Tuesday.

Keanu Carver - Another victory for Keanu Carver on NXT, this time over Tate Wilder in a competitive sprint.

Rhea Ripley & Charlotte Flair - Although far from the best of friends, Rhea Ripley & Charlotte Flair worked well enough together to beat Fatal Influence's Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid on SmackDown.
