In 1992(1993) there was a movie called ‘THE LAST ACTION HERO’ that spoofed action movies and it BOMBED. In 2011 the Something Audible gang watches it on Netflix. They talk about what this forgotten flop meant to films after it and whether or not the movie is actually any good. This will probably be the only episode where the conversations stick this closely to what they’re actually watching. It’s time for another unofficial commentary as ‘The Midnight Society’ tries to finally get around to watching SYFY’s ALMIGHTY THOR. But as was expected, the usual awfulness that is the SYFY TV MOVIE strikes again. After they can take no more, the group goes with Adam’s pick. His pick? GET OVER IT: Starring Ben Foster, Kristen Dunst, Colin Hanks, for some reason Vitamin C, and “Mr.THONG SONG” Sisqo. Which revitalizes the group. With new life the Society talks about Dunst’s best attribute, impossible book bags, Charles’ inapporpriate Slushy, Doctor Who(as usual), Charles & Johns’ confusion on why the absent Chris likes what Weeds turned into, Johns’ boredom with Sports Night, and a bunch more. If you’ve got Almighty Thor(Why would you) or Getting Over It(Why don’t you) in your queue start them up and enjoy.
