Moving from place to place, I learned the rhythm of living lightly—packing, unpacking, and embracing the beauty of impermanence. That same sense of motion comes alive on a Ring Road Iceland itinerary. Traveling this way is ambitious, exhilarating, and requires a willingness to move frequently, often staying only one night before the next adventure calls. I always build in a few two-night stays to allow breathing room and time to fully experience each destination.

Who Should Take the Iceland Ring Road?

The Ring Road Iceland route is perfect for travelers who love variety, scenic drama, and adventure with comfort. If you delight in waterfalls, volcanic beaches, fjords, and geothermal wonders, and enjoy moving through landscapes that change dramatically each day, this itinerary is for you. It’s ideal for those who want an immersive road trip experience rather than a slow-paced resort vacation.

Starting in Reykjavik

Begin your Iceland Ring Road trip in Reykjavik. This is the hub for international flights, car rentals, and your first taste of Icelandic culture. Renting a car is straightforward, and sand and ash protection is highly recommended due to occasional volcanic activity. Spend your first day exploring Reykjavik’s charming streets, sampling Icelandic cuisine, and settling into the pace of travel.

Key Stops Along the Ring Road

Snæfellsnes Peninsula: Explore this dramatic peninsula as a day trip from Reykjavik or stay two nights for more immersion.

Westman Islands: Known for puffins and rugged scenery, these islands are accessible by ferry when weather permits. Cars aren’t required but offer flexibility for exploration.

Vik to Hofn and the East Fjords: Marvel at black sand beaches, fjords, and charming coastal villages.

Akureyri and Northern Iceland: Experience whale watching, geothermal wonders, Dettifoss waterfall, and dramatic northern landscapes.

Blue Lagoon or Golden Circle: End your trip with relaxation at the Blue Lagoon or explore the Golden Circle near Reykjavik if time allows.

Timing and Planning Your Trip

A 10–14 day window gives the Ring Road Iceland itinerary the space it deserves. Flights from the U.S. are favorable, but accommodations, dining, and car rentals are more expensive than expected. Planning 6 to 9 months in advance ensures a smoother, more seamless journey.

For travelers who thrive on discovery, scenic diversity, and the thrill of moving through Iceland’s extraordinary landscapes each day, a Ring Road road trip is unforgettable—carefully planned, intentionally paced, and entirely worth the effort.

Iceland Ring Road Itinerary: Planning the Ultimate 10–14 Day Road Trip

Why the Come With Me Costa Rica Family Journey Will Be Your Most Meaningful Trip Yet

If you’ve been dreaming of a Costa Rica family vacation that’s more than

Shared meals, local wine, and time spent together create a deeper understanding of a destination and the people who live there.

At Sunkissed Bliss Travel, culinary experiences are intentionally built into itineraries. Food-centered travel allows guests to slow down, engage with locals, and connect more deeply with one another. A meal becomes more than nourishment. It becomes a memory.

In France, this connection often begins in the wine regions. Private guides throughout Bordeaux introduce travelers to winemakers whose stories are tied to the land. Conversations about family legacy, harvest traditions, and terroir bring meaning to every tasting. A meet and greet with a Michelin-starred chef transforms fine dining into something personal and memorable.

On Ireland’s Atlantic Coast in Galway, freshly caught oysters paired with wine offer insight into daily coastal life. In Edam, a Dutch cheese tour and tasting highlights centuries of craftsmanship and pride in local production. In Ston, Croatia, a demonstration of oyster and mussel farming shows how food, geography, and history are closely linked.

Italy invites travelers to participate. A hands-on pasta making class creates connection through shared experience, laughter, and tradition. In Sorrento, a family-run lemon orchard operating for generations now welcomes small, intimate tours led by the sons, offering insight into local agriculture while helping preserve their family livelihood as regional economies evolve. In Portugal, olive oil tours and tastings reveal the care behind everyday ingredients, while Douro Valley wine tours with local guides showcase the region’s agricultural heritage and community spirit.

In Napa Valley, winery visits are carefully curated and matched to each traveler’s preferences. Whether the focus is small-production wines, architecture, or time with the winemaker, these experiences foster meaningful interaction and a stronger sense of place.

Culinary travel allows travelers to experience destinations in an authentic and personal way. Around the table, conversations unfold naturally and cultural understanding deepens. These shared moments are often what travelers remember most, long after the journey ends.

If you’re craving travel experiences that create real connection, culinary moments are often where it begins. Let’s get started.

Culinary Travel and the Power of Connection at the Table

How to Honor the Places You Visit: A Thoughtful Way to Travel

Thoughtful travel goes beyond where you go. Honoring the places you visit means traveling with intention, respect, and awareness so your presence benefits the destination, not burdens it.

Support the Local Economy Where It Matters Most

One of the most impactful choices travelers make is where they stay.

Hotels often contribute more directly to local economies than short-term rentals. They employ local teams across housekeeping, concierge, bell services, maintenance, and management. Hotels also rely on local vendors for food sourcing, laundry services, uniforms, and ongoing operations.

Choosing a hotel can mean supporting dozens of local families, not just a single property owner.

Learn Before You Arrive

A little preparation goes a long way.

Understanding local customs, etiquette, and a few basic phrases shows respect and curiosity. Even simple efforts signal gratitude for being welcomed into another culture and often open the door to warmer, more meaningful interactions.

Spend Money Locally

Tourism dollars are most impactful when they stay in the community.

Hire locally owned guides

Dine at independent restaurants

Shop from local artisans and boutiques

These experiences often deliver deeper insight, better storytelling, and a stronger sense of place than global chains ever could.

Choose Experiences Over Checklists

Iconic sights have their place, but the most memorable moments often come from slowing down.

Think:

Cooking in someone’s home

Wine tastings with the family who runs the vineyard

Cultural workshops led by locals

Connection creates meaning, not rushing from one landmark to the next.

Value Cultural Exchange Over Performance

Travel becomes richer when you arrive with appreciation rather than expectations.

The most meaningful moments are rarely staged. They come from genuine interactions rooted in humility, curiosity, and openness.

Plan Responsibly With Trusted Experts

Responsible travel does not happen by accident. Thoughtful planning helps travelers avoid unethical animal encounters, common tourist scams, and experiences that harm local communities.

Working with a knowledgeable travel advisor ensures you are:

Informed

Safe

Respectful

Aligned with partners who value sustainability

The right planning protects both you and the destination.

When travel is approached with care, you leave more than footprints. You leave a positive impact and return home with experiences that matter.

How to Honor the Places You Visit: A Thoughtful Way to Travel

Discovering the French Riviera: Art, Food, and Sun-Drenched Beauty

The French Riviera is more than a beautiful coastline. It’s a region where art, cuisine, and culture blend effortlessly with Mediterranean light and sea views. This is a destination I often recommend to clients who love art, exceptional food, good wine, and immersive travel experiences, all without feeling rushed.

Start in Provence: Marseille & Aix-en-Provence

A wonderful way to experience the French Riviera is to fly into Marseille, rent a car, and begin in Aix-en-Provence. Refined yet relaxed, Aix is an ideal base for your first few nights. Walk the elegant streets once frequented by Cézanne, explore nearby hill towns, and enjoy leisurely lunches that stretch into the afternoon. Provence invites you to slow down, which sets the tone for the journey ahead.

A Scenic Drive Along the Coast

From Aix, follow the coastal road east. This drive is an experience in itself, offering sweeping Mediterranean views, charming villages, and scenic pull-offs along the way. Taking your time here allows the transition from countryside to coastline to feel natural and unrushed.

Cannes, Antibes & the Artists of the Riviera

Cannes offers refined seaside promenades and excellent dining beyond its famous film festival. Nearby Antibes feels artistic and historic. Picasso lived and worked here, and the Musée Picasso reflects the creative energy that has long drawn artists to the Riviera, including Matisse and Chagall.

Nice: Markets, Shopping & Local Life

Nice is vibrant, walkable, and full of local character. Spend time shopping along Avenue Jean Médecin, then visit Cours Saleya Market, where flowers, fresh produce, and regional specialties showcase the flavors of the South of France. Nice balances elegance with everyday life beautifully.

Èze, Monaco & Iconic Riviera Stops

Perched above the sea, Èze is a medieval village known for dramatic views and its famed parfumerie, offering insight into the region’s long perfume-making tradition. Just beyond, Monaco adds glamour and contrast with its harbor, historic palace, and refined atmosphere.

Easy Travel Home from Nice

Returning to the U.S. is simple via Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, with convenient connections through major European hubs.

The French Riviera is best experienced slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention. When planned well, it becomes a seamless blend of culture, beauty, and joie de vivre.

Discovering the French Riviera: Art, Food, and Sun-Drenched Beauty

Cruising Is Not What You Think It Is. Many people are still picturing an outdated version of cruising that no longer exists. After spending several days onboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas as part of an invitation-only Seminar at Sea with a small group of top travel advisors, I walked away with one very clear takeaway: cruising, when done right, has quietly become one of the most thoughtful and low-stress ways for families to travel.

Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class and Icon Class ships are in a category of their own. These ships are intentionally designed so that the onboard experience feels layered, immersive, and surprisingly personal for a ship of this size. Instead of feeling like you are constantly moving from one thing to the next, the ship unfolds into distinct neighborhoods and spaces that invite you to slow down and settle in.

What struck me most on Wonder of the Seas (an Oasis Class ship) was the range of experiences available without feeling overwhelming. There are adults-only spaces that feel calm and intentional, paired with family-friendly entertainment that is genuinely impressive. The AquaTheater show alone, with high divers, synchronized swimmers, acrobats, and slackliners, rivals productions you would expect on land. Ice skating shows, live music venues, comedians, and beautifully staged theater performances run throughout the sailing, giving families the flexibility to choose how full or relaxed their days feel.

Dining follows that same philosophy. There are excellent options included in your cruise fare that never feel like an afterthought, alongside specialty dining experiences available for a reasonable additional cost when you want something more elevated. Cabins are spacious and well designed, including innovative courtyard-facing veranda staterooms that allow you to enjoy natural light and outdoor space without the premium of an ocean-facing balcony.

For families, this style of cruising works especially well. Kids have structured, age-appropriate programming and built-in childcare. Adults have space to unwind. Multi-generational groups can come together easily, then break off to do their own thing without logistics becoming complicated. You unpack once, settle in, and let the vacation come to you.

Royal Caribbean has a large and diverse fleet, with ships that vary significantly in layout, onboard offerings, and departure ports. Choosing the right ship and itinerary truly matters. This is where working with a travel advisor who knows these ships firsthand becomes invaluable. My role is to ensure that your time and investment align with the experience you actually want.

Cruising today is polished, flexible, and refreshingly easy. And after experiencing it myself, I can say with confidence that it looks nothing like what most people expect.

If you’d like help selecting the perfect cruise for your family, let’s get started here.

Cruising Is Not What You Think It Is. I recently returned from a stay in this stunning corner of Mexico, and it reaffirmed why travelers consistently rank it among the most captivating destinations in North America.

Los Cabos is made up of two neighboring cities: San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. San José del Cabo sits on the eastern side of the Baja Peninsula and has a relaxed, artistic, and more local feel. It offers outstanding restaurants, charming streets, and a Thursday evening art walk in fall that brings galleries and studios to life. Cabo San Lucas on the western side is livelier, more commercial, and closer to the cruise port. It has a denser feel, energetic nightlife, and plenty of activity for travelers who prefer a faster pace. Despite their differences, the two cities are only about thirty minutes apart along the main resort corridor, which means you can enjoy both atmospheres very easily.

During my visit I toured six properties across the corridor, each offering distinct takes on the elevated Los Cabos experience. I also chartered a boat to see the iconic Arch, watch the sunset over the Pacific, and spot sea life in the waters where the Sea of Cortez meets the ocean. This region is known for breathtaking marine biodiversity. Thousands of fish species thrive here, along with sea turtles, rays, jellyfish, dolphins, and migrating whales. Each winter the Baja coastline welcomes Gray Whales, which travel great distances from colder waters to give birth and nurse their calves in sheltered lagoons.

A lesser known fact about the destination is that Los Cabos has relatively few swimmable beaches. Strong currents and dramatic shorelines are part of what make this region beautiful, but they also mean the calm, gentle beaches found in other parts of Mexico are not as common here. For many travelers this is not a drawback. The scenery is striking, the pools are exceptional, and the coastline feels wild and cinematic.

Travelers will also find that Los Cabos is an elevated market compared to some other Mexican destinations. Its location at the end of a desert peninsula creates natural exclusivity, and many of the area’s resorts focus on luxury, privacy, and exceptional dining. Personally, I found the culinary experiences in Los Cabos to be some of the best in Mexico. Beyond the resorts, there are dune buggy adventures, nearby towns to explore, snorkeling and scuba opportunities, farm to table restaurants, and desert and ocean landscapes that feel unlike anywhere else.

No destination is entirely risk free, but throughout my trip I felt comfortable and welcomed. What I experienced in Los Cabos did not reflect the dramatic headlines people often see in the news. The locals were warm, professional, and incredibly proud of their region.

If Los Cabos is calling your name for 2025, I am here to help you plan a seamless, elevated escape to this beautiful part of the world. The people of Los Cabos are ready to welcome you whenever you are ready to explore.

Multi-generational travel brings some of life’s most meaningful moments, but it is rarely as simple as picking a destination and going. Families come to me every week feeling stressed, unsure where to begin, and worried about making a mistake that affects everyone else. There is a reason this type of trip has become one of my specialties. When multiple generations travel together, the logistics are bigger, the stakes are higher, and the opportunities for unforgettable memories are even greater.

Let us start with the practical side. A multi-gen trip often means coordinating flights from several departure cities, which can turn into a tangle of mismatched arrival times, tight connections, and questions about who needs assistance or pre-boarding. Some families need car seats or strollers. Others need wheelchair assistance for peace of mind. Most travel with more luggage than they imagined. And of course, there is always one person who wants to use a passport that expires next month. In those moments, I step in as the calm voice of reason and the bad cop when necessary, because protecting the trip is part of my job.

Then there are the preferences and personalities. Every family has its mix of budgets, opinions, allergies, nap schedules, and the person who absolutely refuses to go to the Natural History Museum. Crafting an itinerary that respects everyone’s needs without sacrificing the joy of the destination is both an art and a science. I spend time learning about each traveler, recommending the right hotels with the correct bedding, arranging reliable transfers, and creating just enough shared time while leaving room for individuals to breathe.

All of this planning work sets the stage for what multi-generational travel is really about. It is about the text from a parent telling me that their kids just had the best day of their lives. It is the bottle of champagne waiting in a hotel room to celebrate a fiftieth anniversary. It is the photo of a grandfather teaching his grandchildren how to order gelato in Italian. These are the moments families carry home with them and talk about for years.

A well planned multi-gen trip does not happen by accident. It takes careful coordination, destination expertise, trusted partners on the ground, and someone who understands how to balance comfort, authenticity, and ease for every generation. As a travel advisor, I take on the heavy lifting so families can focus on being together. If you are dreaming of a big family trip and feeling overwhelmed, I would love to help you turn that vision into the kind of trip that becomes part of your family’s story.

Ready when you are.

Why Multi-Generational Travel Feels Overwhelming and How a Travel Advisor Makes It Effortless

What No One Tells You About Multi-Generational Travel

Multigenerational travel isn’t just “pick a destination and go.” It’s

This isn’t your average vacation.

If I had a dollar for every family who’s come to me overwhelmed by planning The Big Trip, I’d be writing this from a villa in Tuscany. There’s a reason I plan so many multigenerational vacations—because they’re joyful, chaotic, and anything but simple.

Multigenerational travel isn’t just “pick a destination and go.” It’s multiple origin cities, mismatched flights, strollers and wheelchairs, and mountains of luggage. It’s a toddler who needs snacks every 90 minutes and a grandma who’s more comfortable navigating the airport in a wheelchair. It’s balancing budgets, opinions, allergies, health needs, and motion sickness… All while trying to keep the peace between the museum lovers and the museum avoiders.

And then there’s that uncle who wants to “risk it” with a passport that expires next month. (Spoiler: I’m the bad cop on that one.)

A well-planned multi-gen trip means thinking through every detail: hotel rooms with the right bedding configuration, safe transfers, accessible sightseeing, and the perfect mix of together time and breathing room (IYKYK). It’s coordinating multiple travel insurance policies, keeping track of payments, and making sure everyone feels cared for: from the one-year-old to the seventy-year-old.

But here’s the best part: it’s also the giddy text from a mom saying, “This was the best day of their lives.” It’s the champagne waiting in the room for a 50th anniversary, the wide-eyed grandkids ordering gelato with grandpa in Italian, and the photos that will be shared at family gatherings for years to come.

That’s the magic of a well-planned multigenerational trip. And that’s why I do what I do. I help your family make memories, not migraines.

What No One Tells You About Multi-Generational Travel

Where Time Stands Still: Falling in Love with Croatia

From the foggy mountains of Zagreb, with its strong Central European

After two flight delays, one to burn off fuel because we were too heavy to clear the surrounding mountains and another for gusty winds, we finally took off, hearts pounding and grinning the whole way. It was the perfect end to a trip that was as thrilling as it was unforgettable.

Starting in the foggy mountains of Zagreb, with its strong Central European influences, and culminating in the sun-drenched terraces of Dubrovnik, every day in Croatia feels like walking through time. Each turn reveals another layer of history: Roman ruins transformed into lively squares, medieval walls framing Adriatic views, austere communist-era buildings, and fishing villages that still move to the rhythm of the tides.

Traveling south through Croatia, I was struck by how seamlessly the ancient and modern coexist. In Zadar, the waves compose music on the famous Sea Organ while remnants of a Roman forum stand beside Soviet architecture. In Split, you can savor fresh seafood inside what was once a Roman emperor’s palace, winding through narrow stone streets that seem to hum with life. Plan for at least two days here to take it all in.

When we arrived in Dubrovnik, we made our entrance by sea: gliding into the harbor as the old city walls of Dubrovnik Old Town rose before us. Seeing this UNESCO World Heritage city for the first time in the soft evening light was pure magic. It’s no secret Dubrovnik is grappling with over-tourism, but experiencing it at twilight offers a more intimate, authentic glimpse. Starting next year, new cruise ship limits will help, but my advice? Visit in spring or fall, when the pace slows and the beauty feels all your own.

And while Croatia dazzles on land, it’s equally captivating from the water. The Dalmatian Coast is dotted with more than 1,200 Croatian islands, teeming with hidden coves, sandy beaches, and quiet fishing villages. Some are inhabited, others wild and untouched. I often design itineraries that begin on the mainland and weave through the islands by private yacht charter, complete with a skipper, water toys, and plenty of time for swims in the clear Adriatic Sea. There’s always that one family-run restaurant your captain insists you try – and it somehow ends up being the best meal of your trip.

Croatia isn’t just a destination to visit; it’s one to feel. The warmth of its people, the taste of its wines, and the whisper of history beneath your feet all weaves into something unforgettable. And when every detail of your Croatia vacation is expertly planned, you don’t have to think about logistics or timetables. You simply get to fall in love with this extraordinary country, one sunset at a time.

Where Time Stands Still: Falling in Love with Croatia

The Local Moms Network of the Chicago North Shore: Meet a Mom

I’m honored to be featured by the Local Moms Network of the Chicago North Shore as this week’s “Meet a Mom”! It happens to even the most seasoned travelers. You go somewhere incredible, tick off the “must-sees,” eat at the places everyone talks about, and then wonder why it didn’t feel as magical as you’d imagined.

The truth is, a destination reveals its best side to the curious traveler who’s willing to wander a little off script. That doesn’t mean skipping the icons entirely. It means pairing them with experiences that are personal, unexpected, and deeply connected to the place.

One of my favorite ways to do this is to avoid the “tourist menu.” Step into a café where the specials are written in chalk and only in the local language. You might not know exactly what you’re ordering, but that’s half the fun. The same goes for timing your visits to when locals live their lives. Tuesday morning markets, late afternoon aperitivo hours, and neighborhood festivals are where you’ll see the real rhythm of a city.

When in doubt, ask better questions. Instead of “Where should I go?” try “Where would you take your best friend?” You’ll get answers that never make it into guidebooks. Small venues also hold big magic. A hidden wine bar with eight seats or a family-run boutique hotel can offer more connection than the biggest, most luxurious resort.

And finally, consider seeing a place through a local’s lens. A well-connected guide can introduce you to artisans, neighborhood legends, and culinary gems you’d never find on your own.

You don’t need to blend in perfectly to experience a place like an insider. You just need the right doors opened for you, and that’s exactly what I do for my clients. I handle the research, the connections, and the behind-the-scenes details so you can step into your destination feeling like you already belong there.

Ready to collect moments, not magnets? Click here to fill out my inquiry form and let’s start planning your next unforgettable journey.

How to Experience a Destination Like an Insider

Our Favorite River Cruise Itineraries and Which One Is Right for You

River cruising is one of the most elegant and immersive ways to explore a

Unpack once, sail straight into the heart of historic towns, and enjoy curated excursions and fine dining every step of the way. But not all river itineraries are created equal. Whether you're brand new to river cruising or ready to branch out, here’s how to choose the right fit.

First-timers, start with the Rhine or Danube. These two rivers are the gold standard for a reason. The Rhine winds through castle-studded valleys, vineyards, and storybook towns from the Netherlands to Switzerland. You’ll experience classic Europe in one perfectly paced itinerary. The Danube delivers big-ticket cities like Vienna and Budapest with time to explore charming villages along the way. It’s an ideal mix of cultural depth and scenic beauty.

Looking for something a little less traveled? The Douro River in Portugal is for wine lovers and scenery seekers. This route winds through terraced vineyards and golden hills with stops in tucked-away towns. It’s slower paced, relaxed, and full of flavor.

The Bordeaux region of France is a dream for food and wine travelers. Cruise the Garonne and Dordogne Rivers while indulging in vineyard visits, markets, and Michelin-worthy cuisine. Think of it as a floating culinary tour.

Paris to Normandy is a great choice for history buffs and Francophiles alike. You’ll explore Monet’s gardens in Giverny, the beaches of D-Day, and charming French towns, all bookended by time in Paris.

The Rhone and Saône Rivers offer a deeper dive into southern France. This itinerary is ideal if you want Provençal markets, lavender fields, and riverfront cafes—with plenty of time to linger.

And for something farther afield, the Nile River in Egypt is extraordinary. You’ll sail past temples and tombs, see the pyramids, and explore the rich layers of ancient and modern Egyptian life. This is a trip for history lovers and adventurers ready to go beyond the typical European cruise.

Choosing the right river cruise means matching your travel style with the right river. That’s where I come in. I’m a Certified Cruise Counselor and River Cruise Expert through CLIA, and I’d love to help you find the perfect fit.

Let’s talk about your next river cruise.

Our Favorite River Cruise Itineraries and Which One Is Right for You

Discover Costa Rica: A Family Adventure from Rainforest to Coast

Planning an adventurous international trip for your family can feel

One moment it’s the end of summer, and the next you’re scrambling to find flights and a place to stay that isn’t booked or wildly overpriced. If you’re already dreaming of where to escape this winter, now’s the time to start planning. And if you’re craving something more meaningful than the usual holiday shuffle, here are a few destinations that deliver awe, comfort, and a real change of pace.

Lapland, Finland is the ultimate winter wonderland. Stay in a glass igloo, watch the northern lights dance overhead, and sip something warm after a reindeer sleigh ride through the snow. It’s magical without being manufactured, and ideal for travelers who want holiday spirit without the chaos.

Austria continues to charm with its alpine villages, glittering Christmas markets, and postcard-perfect landscapes. Whether you're gliding down snowy slopes or strolling Vienna’s historic streets, the pace is slow, the food is indulgent, and the atmosphere is unmatched.

If you’re craving warmth and adventure, South Africa brings unexpected joy. December is summertime there, so you can go from game drives to Cape Town sunsets to sipping wine in Stellenbosch, all with fewer crowds and more wow-factor than the usual tropical escape.

And if you’re dreaming of something easy, meaningful, and totally stress-free, I have something special to share.

For the 2026 holiday season, I’m hosting a Come With Me Family Journey to Costa Rica from December 29, 2026 to January 6, 2027. It’s How a Trip FEELS.

Let’s get one thing straight: luxury doesn’t mean gold-plated doorknobs or seven courses at every meal. At least not just that.

Luxury is walking into your boutique hotel and being greeted by name. It’s your guide knowing exactly where to find the best gelato without the 45-minute line. It’s skipping the tourist shuffle in favor of a private boat ride at sunset while your kids laugh and you exhale for the first time all year.

It’s a feeling.

It’s waking up in a room where the beds are cloud-soft, the view stirs something in your soul, and someone else thought about your logistics so you didn’t have to. It’s having a day unfold seamlessly, like it was designed just for you—because it was.

Sure, anyone can book a hotel or Google “best restaurants in Florence.” But the real magic? That comes from a trip that fits you like a glove. A trip where every detail was carefully chosen by someone who understands not just where you want to go, but why you want to go. That’s where I come in.

My clients want ease. Connection. Meaningful experiences that feel both authentic and elevated. They want someone to guide the process who’s as thoughtful with their time as they are. They want to travel well, without getting lost in a sea of online reviews, group tours, or half-baked TikTok itineraries.

They want to come home saying, “That was exactly what I needed.”

So no, luxury isn’t always about five stars. But it is about five senses. How it looks, how it tastes, how it flows, and how it leaves you feeling more like you by the end.

If that’s the kind of travel you’re craving, I’d love to create it with you.

Let’s begin here.

Luxury Isn’t About Price. The kind of things that don’t just fill a day. They make the trip.

They’re not about doing more. They’re about doing it well. These activities create the moments that stick long after your suitcase is unpacked and the laundry’s folded.

They’re simple, intentional, and expertly chosen to match the destination and the traveler. And every single time, they’re worth it.

Here are a few that I love to include in my clients’ itineraries because they hit the mark over and over again:

Walking food tours with a local guide
Not just bites and samples. These are intimate, story-rich walks that connect you to the culture through its flavors, neighborhoods, and rhythms.

Hands-on time with a local artisan or host
Whether you're making goat cheese in the French countryside or mixing perfume in a tucked-away studio, these experiences open the door to real human connection - and often, a new skill to take home.

Destination photoshoots
Not staged. Not awkward. Just you, your people, and the beauty of the moment - captured professionally in a way that tells the story of your trip without needing words.

Private airport transfers
You’ll never regret being greeted by name and swept off your feet after a long flight. No taxi lines. No navigation stress. Just ease.

What do these all have in common?

They're not the flashiest, but they always leave an impression. They create breathing room. They honor your time. They help you travel deeper instead of wider.

And the best part? These aren’t one-size-fits-all. I match each experience to the destination and your style, so it feels seamless and personal.

Curious what would hit the spot for your next trip?

I’d love to help you find it.

These Travel Activities Hit the Spot E.V.E.R.Y.T.I.M.E.

Curating the Perfect Trip for You and Your People

Planning a trip should feel exciting, not exhausting. But for many people, especially those juggling busy households and full calendars, it quickly becomes a chore filled with decision fatigue. You want a trip that feels effortless and meaningful, not one where you're chasing reservations and second-guessing every choice.

The good news is that a little clarity and the right kind of support can make your next journey feel as intentional as the life you’re building at home.

Start with what matters
Before thinking about where to go, consider how you want to feel. Do you crave rest, adventure, connection, or a little bit of everything? What pace feels good? What does a truly great day on vacation look like for you and your crew?

A thoughtful trip begins with knowing your priorities. It’s not about checking off sights. It’s about aligning your time away with your values and energy.

The internet is not your travel advisor
It is tempting to Google your way through travel planning, but algorithms can’t understand your family’s needs, preferences, or travel style. A trusted advisor with strong local connections can help you skip the guesswork and go straight to the good stuff. From properties that actually match your vibe to hands-on experiences that reflect the culture, those insider relationships make all the difference.

Let someone else handle the hard parts
From monitoring flights and managing transfers to coordinating activities and restaurant bookings, seamless travel requires constant behind-the-scenes care. When someone else is handling the logistics, you’re free to actually enjoy the moment.

Luxury is personal
You don’t need a five-star hotel to have a five-star experience. When a trip reflects who you are and what you value, it will always feel luxurious. Choose quality over quantity. Build in room to breathe. Let go of the pressure to see it all.

When travel is intentional, it becomes more than a vacation. It becomes an experience that restores you, connects you, and leaves you craving more of what truly matters.

Curating the Perfect Trip for You and Your People
