Designed to deliver the ultimate cinematic experience, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris”, launches in cinemas and IMAX® globally across 70 countries on Wednesday, September 2, including exclusive IMAX® previews in the US on that day. Filmed across two sold-out nights in Paris during The Lifetimes Tour in November 2025, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris” transforms one of pop’s most ambitious live productions into an immersive cinematic event. Captured with an extraordinary 60-camera setup, the film moves far beyond the traditional concert film, soaring above, around and through the show to place audiences at the heart of the performance. The Lifetimes Tour in 2025 reached more than one million fans worldwide, selling 1,058,950 tickets and generating $134,158,672 in gross ticket sales. Spanning 91 shows across 23 countries and five continents over 7.5 months, the tour traveled from its opening night in Mexico City on April 23 to its finale in Abu Dhabi on December 7, including six historic performances in China, a rare achievement given the limited number of permits granted to Western artists. Beyond the stage, the tour also supported charitable causes, with $264,814 donated to the Firework Foundation in the US and £81,918 ($109,128) donated to Music Venue Trust in the UK.

The Strokes unveil their long-awaited new album, Reality Awaits—their first in six years—today via Cult Records/RCA Records. The LP features singles that have quickly become fan favorites: “Going Shopping” and “Falling out of Love.” Reality Awaits awaits.

The album was recorded in Costa Rica with the legendary producer Rick Rubin, who the band worked with on 2020’s acclaimed The New Abnormal. Following these first sessions, the band and Rubin continued meet around the globe to finish the album, wherever inspiration struck.

While in the studio in Costa Rica, The Strokes invited director Johann Rashid to capture the magic and create a short film. In Transit: Part II debuted yesterday, offering a glimpse into the sessions and the creative process behind the album. Part II serves as a sequel to the group’s 2004 In Transit documentary. Watch In Transit: Part II here. 

The project comes ahead of touring throughout the year, including a massive hometown show at New York’s Flushing Meadows Corona Park—the band’s first New York headline in years—with support from Beach House, TV on the Radio and Fcukers. Further dates include two nights at London’s O2, Paris’ Accor Arena, Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and many more.

The Strokes recently shared the music video for “Going Shopping”—paying homage to Paul Simon’s classic video for “You Can Call Me Al,” with Walton Goggins in Chevy Chase’s iconic role. Goggins was on location for a feature film in the Canary Islands but told the band on a call, “let’s go shopping!” In late May, Julian Casablancas and friends traveled to Tenerife—a Spanish island off the coast of Morocco—to meet up with Walton Goggins on location to shoot.

In May, The Strokes debuted “Falling out of Love” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, playing one of the show’s final music performances.

You’ve probably already heard “TIRED“. Not on Spotify, not on YouTube. Live, unreleased, months before anyone could actually own a copy of it.

SIRUP has been playing this song on stage since his live-house tour, holding it back from streaming while audiences learned it by ear. He finally broke the silence in Bangkok, the last stop of his Asia tour, confirming what fans had been waiting on since February: “TIRED” is coming out.

It’s not an easy song to write, or to release casually. “TIRED” is about walking away from something that mattered, and choosing to keep the memories without letting them keep you in place. Taka Perry, who also produced many of his other tracks, builds it as a mid-tempo ballad, warm guitar, a beat that stays out of the way, until SIRUP’s vocal finally breaks open in the last stretch and the whole song tips from restrained into raw.

The music video picks up exactly where “Not AI” – SIRUP’s May single – left off. Directed again by maxilla, it’s shot as one continuous take of SIRUP playing guitar aboard the same spaceship from the “Not AI” video, drawn toward an unknown planet through the window ahead before finally entering its atmosphere. It plays less like a music video and more like the next scene of a film that hasn’t finished telling its story.

The timing isn’t incidental. SIRUP just wrapped SIRUP ASIA TOUR 2026 ‘TURN THE PAGE IN ASIA’, hitting Seoul, Taipei and Bangkok on the back of a run most artists would kill for in a single year: all 16 dates of his live-house tour sold out, both Tokyo/Osaka hall tour dates sold out, and “Not AI” landed right in the middle of it. “TIRED” is the comedown after all of that, a song about letting go, arriving at the exact moment SIRUP’s own career shows zero interest in slowing down.
