New pop star (endorsed by Justin Bieber) Carly Rae Jepsen mostly known for her hit “Call Me Maybe” is featured in the October 2012 issue of Fashion Magazine Canada. In the issue, Carly talks about being the next Britney Spears and dating. Check out the highlights below.

ON BEING THE NEXT BRITNEY SPEARS:

“Nobody can do Britney again. She did a great job at it. I just want to be the best Carly Rae I can be. My music is bejewelled, it’s colorful, it’s romantic, it shines.”

ON DATING:

“I definitely have a little attraction to bad guys, but they have to be sweethearts underneath. After all, I like to be treated well.”

She did it. Jessica Simpson‘s weight loss goals have been achieved for the most part. Life and Style Weekly did a feature on Simpson’s weight loss battle and according to the mag, Jess has lost FORTY pounds in four months. And get this, she didn’t starve herself.

Life & Style has learned that the new mom has lost 40 pounds of pregnancy weight in just four months thanks to breast-feeding, marathon gym sessions and a personalized, no-starve Weight Watchers plan.

“Jess has been doing a lot of work on herself,” an insider tells Life & Style. “And she’ll gradually be showing her weight loss through Weight Watchers commercials over the next few months.”

In fact, the singer and fashion mogul filmed her first commercial for the weight-loss company on Aug. 16. “She has met all her Weight Watchers goals and is overjoyed,” a friend tells Life & Style. “She’s so proud of herself.”

In other words, Jess HAD to work to get her new body and in a new interview with USA Today, Simpson admitted her struggles. She said, “My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself.”

Jess will be revealing her post baby body on Katie Couric’s new talk show “Katie”.

Congratulations mama! I’m sure that four million dollars incentive via Weight Watchers also helped a tad whenever Jess felt like giving up.

“The first time I was on the cover of Seventeen, the cover line said ‘Nina: Why she wouldn’t date any of her co-stars.’ And then cut to two years later…it’s funny that I said that, but you know what? It was honestly what I believed at the time. I didn’t want to be dating one of my costars—my goal on the show was to be professional. But sometimes you can’t help who you have a connection with, and you can only fight it for so long—which I did for a really, really long time.”

ON DEALING WITH LIFE IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

“I try not to read best-dressed lists or anything like that. For every good thing, there will often be a not-so-nice thing people would say. My mom sends me lots of messages like, ‘You’re standing next to Kate Winslet! Oh my god, I love Kate Winslet!’”

ON HER CHARACTER’S ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP IN THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER:

“It’s a really heavy topic, and I hope my character gives girls some perspective. I think more than anything, girls allow abuse to happen because they’re embarrassed it happened and that they allowed it to happen. They know it’s not right. There’s no excuse for it. That’s why it’s so important to show girls that they can admit that it’s not their fault.”

Gisele Bundchen is taking over from Kate Moss for the David Yurman’s new ad campaign after the Kate reportedly upset the Jeweller when she was photographed for fashion house Fred in an advert which was strikingly similar to David Yurman’s.

The beauty posed topless her the fashion line – which she helped design jewellery for – and her move is said to have been the final straw for David who decided to replace her with Gisele instead.

At the time David said: “The Fred campaign is embarrassingly similar to the one David Yurman ran a year ago.  We are confident consumers know the difference.”

Kate had modelled for the line for eight years and she has previously revealed her laid back attitude to her work saying: She said: “Sometimes I go to work.  Sometimes I go to work hung over. Sometimes I don’t turn up at all.’

Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and her fiance Jionni Lavalle welcomed their new son Lorenzo LaValle to the world Sunday August 26th, 2012.  Lorenzo is the first child for the Jersey Shore star and Jionni.

Today the first photo of their newborn has been revealed by TMZ and he certainly has a full size of hair!

TMZ has the very first pics of lil’ Lorenzo LaValle and his mommy being carted out of the a New Jersey hospital.  You can’t see much of Lorenzo’s face … only the top of his head … which appears prime for gobs of gel and grease.  Mama Snooks was clutching her little boy with both arms … holding him tighter than a cup of Ron-Ron Juice at Karma nightclub.

It looks like Snooki is not letting a little thing like childbirth slow her down.  She excited the hospital in her signature platform shoes and MTV was there to film everything!

The Amazing Spider Man actress Emma Stone graces the cover of Interview Magazine the all Fashion Issue.  In the magazine Emma is interview by director Cameron Crow.  Emma looks fierce on the cover, if she was not an actress she could have been a model.

Below is a highlight of the interview in the magazine.

On summer: “We went to Coronado every summer, so I always think of driving over that bridge from San Diego, and then walking down that little strip on the main street, going cosmic bowling at midnight, eating at this 24-hour diner at 3 a.m.—that’s summer to me.”

On interviews: “I get nervous when I do print interviews because I know that whatever I say is going to be shown through the lens of whomever I’m talking to. But I don’t think that I’ve been deft at hiding parts of my personality. I have not mentioned parts of my life, for sure—although I have talked about my childhood more now and anxiety and that side of myself. I don’t think that people would expect that I would have panic attacks…Or I don’t know if they would, because I don’t know what people expect of me. I have no idea.”

On her instincts: “When I feel something in my gut, I can feel it physically. But my instincts seem to come from a different place—they feel headier to me, and I get the wrong scent, and go off on these whims where I think that something is happening when it’s not.”

Actress and activist Maria Bello is an example to all. At Saturday’s fundraiser for her charity, Vital Voices, she raised money for Haiti while wearing Alexandra Moosally’s yellow sapphire pendant which is sold to benefit yet another charity — Alex’s Lemonade Stand which that raises money to fight childhood cancer. The timing is perfect with LA Loves Alex’s Lemonade stand event planned for September with honorary hosts Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka and emcee Jimmy Kimmel.
