For people who are on the move constantly, power banks are an important accessory to have in their gadget kitty. If you’re traveling and you are away from a power source, a dedicated battery pack comes in handy to juice up your smartphone, laptop, camera, and other electronic gadgets.

But before you purchase a power bank you need to know certain important things. The things that will make or break your buying decision. These buying tips will enhance your purchase experience to a different level and will help you choose the best power bank. So without any further ado, let’s look at the top X things to consider before buying a power bank.

1. Battery Capacity and Power Output

Though it is not the be all and end all, when buying a power bank the first factor to look for is the advertised battery capacity. Confused? Let me explain.

Power banks capacity varies from product to product depending on the number of cells in the power bank. It may start from as low as 2,000 mAh to as high as 30,000 mAh.

Based on your use case, you have to choose the desired battery capacity. If you just need a pocket-sized power bank to juice up your smartphone or smartwatch once, a smaller capacity battery pack will be enough.

But if you are traveling a lot and you need to charge your laptop (Laptop should have USB-C port) and smartphone at least twice, a bigger battery capacity is advised. Ideally, a power bank having battery capacity between 10,000 and 20,000 mAh will be perfect for most people.

The power input and output of the power bank is also very important. A higher power output means that your device will charge at a faster speed and higher input power increases the charging speed of power bank itself.

Normally the power output found in battery packs is either up to 12 Watts (5V, 2.4A or 5V, 2.1 A, Normal charging) or 18 Watts (9 V, 2 A, Fast charging). For faster charging of your device, an output port having 9V, 2A rating is advised.

A higher input power means that the power bank can quickly charge itself up when it is plugged to a power source. Here also check for a 9V, 2A rated input port.

2. Actual Battery Capacity, Conversion Rate, and Effective Battery Output

One of the reasons why I said advertised battery capacity is not the be all and end all is because of conversion rate and effective battery output. Even though a power bank may have an advertised battery capacity of 10,000 mAh, you must have noticed that you were not able to charge your 3,000 mAh smartphone battery even thrice.

This is where the concept of conversion rate and effective battery capacity comes into the picture.

Batteries inside the power banks are usually rated at 3.7V. The battery capacity listed by the manufacturer will be based on this rating. That is, if it is supplying power at 3.7V to a device it will be having the advertised battery capacity.

But the USB output from the power bank is rated at 5V or 9V. The actual capacity of the power bank will be based on this rating. There is an equation as well to calculate the actual battery capacity.

Actual Battery Capacity = (3.7 x Advertised Battery Capacity / 5)

There is also a problem of power loss in transmission and power leak over a period of time from the power bank. That’s where conversion rate comes into the picture.

Let’s clarify your confusion through an example.

Suppose a manufacturer sells a power bank with an advertised capacity of 10,000 mAh and conversion rate of 90 % (this is advertised by some brands, but some brands don’t reveal this number).

The actual capacity of that power bank if the power is supplied to a smartphone via 5V output port will be ( 3.7 x 10000 /5 ) = 7400 mAh.

With the conversion rate of 90%, the effective battery output will be ( 90% of 7400 mAh) = 6660 mAh.

That’s 66% of the advertised battery capacity! Quite a letdown, isn’t it?

The bigger and better brands have found a workaround to provide the maximum effective output at faster-charging speed through the innovative implementation of fast charging technologies.

In any case, look at user reviews and expert recommendations on power bank before you buy them so that you don’t get fooled by the battery capacity advertised.

3. Number and Type of Output Ports Available

A power bank may be used to charge multiple devices simultaneously or you may want to charge at a different Ampere according to the device specification.

Some power bank has only 1 output port under 15W (5V, 2.1A or 5V, 2.4A) and some have 2 or 3 ports at 12W or 18W (9V, 2A or 6V, 1.5A).

So before buying your power bank make sure that it has enough output ports satisfying your needs. I would prefer at least 2 output ports.

Most of the power banks in India has only micro USB input ports available. As the industry is moving towards USB Type C ports, it is future proof to go for a power bank having USB-C port for power input and output.

4. Safety, Design and Build Quality

Safety, design and build quality of power banks are also an important aspect in enhancing the user experience of a power bank.

As batteries are flammable objects and there is a chance of explosion, it is important that battery packs like power banks have followed a rigorous safety standard. Notable brands have different layers of circuit protection to mitigate the risks.

In short, safety should be an important factor in your buying decision.

When it comes to the design aspects, no one wants to buy an ugly looking power bank. As you will be using it on the go for charging, a good design for your power bank add an extra layer beauty into it and compels you to take it along in your journey.

Make sure the design of the power bank is suitable to fit into your pocket or backpack. Good design enhances the overall experience of handling a power bank.

A bulky power bank will be difficult to carry on the go in your backpack or pocket. It should fit nicely in your hand as well.

What is Persistence?

Things Needed

A USB Storage Device (i.e., Pendrive/Memory Card)
Universal USB Installer

How to Create a Persistent Bootable Kali Linux USB?

So to create a Bootable Kali Linux USB use the Universal USB Installer to flash the Kali Linux ISO to your USB storage device and after that use the Mini tool Partition wizard to create an EXT4 Primary partition in your USB storage device and label it as persistence
Now that you have done all that restart your PC and boot it up from the Bootable Kali Linux USB and choose the Live USB Persistence option in the Kali Linux's Grand Bootloader (Kali Linux Boot Menu), and wait for Kali Linux to boot up and after that when you see a storage device icon named as persistence on your Kali Linux Desktop, open up the terminal and type the following commands.

Commands Used in the Terminal to create a persistence configuration file are as follows:

fdisk -l
mkdir -p /mnt/AnyName
mount /dev/sdb2 /mnt/AnyName
echo "/ union" > /mnt/AnyName/persistence.conf
umount /dev/sdb2

And after that restart your PC and again boot it up from the Bootable Kali Linux USB and make some changes in the default Kali Linux desktop (For example, make some folders and change the desktop background) and again restart it and again boot it up from the Bootable Kali Linux USB and notice that if everything that you changed earlier is not changed by the default one or not, and if it is not changed then you have successfully created a Persistent Bootable Kali Linux USB.

How to Delete Downloaded Xposed Framework Module apk(s) [Completely]

People out there who have root access to their smartphones and have Xposed framework installed on their phone install many Xposed modules on their phone just by downloading the apk from the download section of the Xposed Installer app but when they don't like that module they simply uninstall the app, but here comes the sad part that the apk that was downloaded to be installed in the system is not deleted even after you uninstall and restart your device! and if the downloaded module is of a very large size it reserves some specific amount of space in the storage so to deal with that follow this simple video and free up some space for your personal data.

Steps to Delete the apk(s) which are downloaded by Xposed Framework to delete the

Download ES File Manager from Play Store.
Right swipe and you will find an option named as Local, tap on it and now tap on the sub-option named as Device.
Now scroll down a bit and you can see a folder named as data, simply tap on it.
Now after scrolling you may find a folder named as com.android.providers.downloads, open it up.
Now the folder which is named as cache will be containing all the apk(s) which are downloaded from the download section of the Xposed Framework, you can simply delete the cache folder or if you want you can also take a backup of the module by just copying the apk of the module to your phone storage or external storage, or if you want to delete a single module's apk you can do that too by selecting and deleting the apk which is inside that cache folder.

How to activate YouTube's hidden Dark Mode

YouTube's Dark Mode

Dark mode turns the light surfaces of the page dark, creating an experience ideal for the users who use YouTube till very late hours of the night or in a dark room like that of mine.

Watching YouTube is now a habit for me, creating videos, learning and motivating myself all at one place. Though being a human being we get bored of a thing to which we regularly watch, so here is a hidden YouTube feature that will allow you to tweak with the original YouTube user interface a bit.

Requirements for activating YouTube's dark mode are as follows:

Make sure you have the latest version of Google Chrome (i.e., version 57 and above)
Open the Inspect window by hitting Ctrl+Shift+I on Windows, or Option+Command+I on Mac
Select the Console tab
Paste the following text:
document.cookie="VISITOR_INFO1_LIVE=fPQ4jCL6EiE"
and hit enter.
Close the Inspect Window and refresh your browser, and dark mode can now be found in the main settings menu in the top right. Turn it on and enjoy a new dark experience!

The feature is not yet officially announced by YouTube but it can be seen after a number of changes.

How to Create a Vector Avatar in Adobe Illustrator

To Create a Vector Avatar in Adobe Illustrator the very first thing you need is 'Adobe Illustrator'. I know it sounds silly but without Illustrator you can't create a vector avatar in illustrator, so now let's keeping it less complicated and easy follow the steps:

Open up Adobe Illustrator
Drag and drop the sample image. (A sample image is that image of which you want the avatar for i.e, a sample image will be needed by the person who illustrates to create trace over it, for example if you want to create a vector avatar of yourself you need to trace all the details in your photograph by the use of basic illustration tools).
Create a new layer over the sample image layer.
Now by the use of Pen Tool start outlining larger areas and after you have covered all the part to be illustrated simply change the color of the illustration to the skin tone or whatever the thing be that is being illustrated by you.
Now again use the pen tool to fill up the details and to create a good looking illustration try showing up some shadows (You can give details using shadows which will give the viewer the feel of where the light is coming from and shadows increase the depth of the illustration that you are creating).
Use the color panel to toggle between fill and stroke and to gradient too! You can also chose the skin tone by clicking in the color that is pre-selected.

How to find Wi-Fi password of all past Network Connections using CMD

In this tutorial, I'll be showing you how easy it is to find a saved WiFi network's password using few CMD commands. These commands work even when you are not connected to internet or you are not connected to any WiFi network.

You may or may not be using several Wi-Fi connections through your desktop or laptop. Sometimes, a situation arises, when you may forget the connected Wifi network's password, and you want to connect your mobile phone or tablet to the same Wi-Fi network just to use the internet but the network's password your laptop is connected to is hidden deep inside the machine.

Here is a Trick to Find Passwords of All Connected Wi-Fi Networks Using CMD

Open Command Prompt and run it as administrator
Now we want to know about all the profiles stored in our computer so type the following command in CMD

netsh wlan show profile

This Command will list out all the Wi-Fi profiles you have ever connected to in past.

(In this above picture I have intentionally blurred some of the Wi-Fi networks)

Now type the following command to see the password of any Wi-Fi network

netsh wlan show profile Wi-Fi_Name key=clear

Here instead of typing the text in red (i.e., Wi-Fi_Name) you have to type the name of that Wi-Fi network to which you want to know the password of.

For Example in the picture below I have used Techetarian instead of Wi-Fi_Name in the command to reveal the password of my Wi-Fi network (i.e., Techetarian).

Under Security settings you will see the Key Content and voila that is the password which was saved deep inside your computer.

Ever wondered "How to to Create a 360 degree image in Adobe Photoshop for Facebook" or "How to Create a 360° image"

Facebook recognizes and processes your 360 photos/videos by looking for camera-specific metadata found in photos taken using 360-ready cameras or edited for a 360 environment using specialized tools, you can also inject 360° metadata into a simple non-360° image. This metadata is fixed inside photo's EXIF (Exchangeable image file format) tags, and if you're sharing 360 photos straight from your specialized camera, Facebook will automatically process and present them as an interactive 360° photos. When information has been stripped from photos/videos or never existed, Facebook may not be able to tell the difference between a 360° and a non-360° photo/video. Most of the times, metadata is stripped during image/video editing, but other workflows can also strip information from pictures/videos.

A 360-degree photo is a controllable panoramic image that surrounds the original point from which the shot was taken. 360-degree photos simulate being in the shoes of a photographer and looking around to the left, right, up and down as desired as well as sometimes zooming. 360-degree photos contain a specific ratio (i.e., 2:1).

A 360-degree image can be created just by capturing it from several apps like the Google Camera or the Cardboard Camera app and can simply be uploaded to Facebook, but those apps capture real life images like a 360-degree panorama of Taj Mahal or a Cylindrical panorama of Champ de Mars (The Large public green space in Paris), but to create a graphical 360-degree image people either use a XMP (Extensible Metadata Platform) script or they take the help of the EXIF tool but those tools are too much complicated for a non-technical person who loves to design stuff but hates the tech part, for such people Facebook provided some Adobe Photoshop templates that can be used by a designer to create a 360-degree image and serve it to the audience which is eager to watch their designer do the tremendous job.

To Create a 360-degree image for Facebook simply open one of the templates available in the ZIP file and create a new layer above the current layer (i.e., the layer which is already active when you open the template in Adobe Photoshop). Now simply create any kind of design in the new layer and after you've done with decorating the layer simply export it as a JPG file, because other formats are not supported by Facebook for a 360-degree image.

NOTE: You may find the exported image as a normal image but you'll get to notice about the image being 360 when you'll upload it to Facebook.

How to Create Long Shadow Text in Adobe Photoshop

In design, long shadows have become a quick trend. In design, long shadows are being added to objects in flat design schemes. The shadows, which often rest at a 45-degree angle, mirror an object and add a lot of emphasis and drama.

Here are some easy steps to create your own Long Shadow Text in Adobe Photoshop:

Step 1: Create a decent looking background using the Gradient tool, or you can use a simple Light color
Step 2: Type in some text using the Text Tool (Use a good looking font)
Step 3: Draw a Simple Shape over the Text Layer and change its angle in the same direction in which you want the shadow to be
Step 4: Now Squeeze the Shape Layer Out of the Image boundary and click on the tick
Step 5: Now crop out the shadow part from the shape layer by using Polygon Lasso tool
Step 6: Now simply decrease the opacity of the shape layer bye selecting the layer and decreasing the percentage count on top of the layers panel

That's it, your Long Shadow Text is ready!
Keep Experimenting with Blending options and more and you'll get a lovely looking Long Shadow Wallpaper for your desktop!

How to change Ringtones and Notification tones in YU Yuphoria

To change a simple Ringtone or a Notification tone in phones having modded features you have to do more than just simply going to Settings>Sounds>Ringtone/Notification Tone

If you try to change those sounds without following the steps given below you may not find the desired Sound you wanted.

(For Example if you want to change your Ringtone from the default melody to an Eminem Rap)

So to change Ringtones and Notification Tones in such phones follow these steps:

Find the Ringtones folder in the Internal Storage of your mobile device (If you want to change the Notification Tones find the Notifications folder)

Note: If no such folder exists in the Internal Storage of your mobile device you can simply create one as per your need!

• If you want to change your Ringtone you may have to create a folder named as Ringtones

• If you want to change your Notification Tone you may have to create a folder named as Notifications

• If you want to change both of the tones as per your customization you can simply create both the folders
Copy the desired Audio file to the specific folder as per your need

(For Example if you want to change the mobile device's ringtone to Eminem's Rap God then copy the audio file and paste it into the Ringtones folder)
Now Go to Settings>Sounds>Ringtone>Now Choose the song and that's it!

(You can repeat the same process for Notification Tones, but instead of copying the audio file to the Ringtones folder, copy the file to the Notifications folder)

Steps to solve the .lnk problem

Step 1: Go to start and open Run

Step 2: Type in regedit.msc

Step 3: Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.lnk

Step 4: Delete the whole .lnk key

Step 5: Restart your PC

That's it! Everything's working fine.

How to Disable Updates in Windows 10

These background updates may decrease your internet speed, just because they are downloading updates !
They(Microsoft) can detect that you are using a Non-Licensed Version of Windows 10 and make your windows corrupt in a span of 30 days

You need to activate windows in PC settings

Step 1. Open Run, either by pressing

Windows key

❖+R

By searching "Run" via Cortana and opening it.

Step 2. Type in

services.msc

Now Press Enter, a new window will popup.

Step 3. Now seek for Background Intelligent Transfer Service

Now Right click on it and then click on Properties
Now change the Service Status to Stopped by clicking on the Stop button.
Now Change the Startup type to Disabled from the drop down selection menu
Now click on Apply then OK

Step 4. Now seek for Windows Update (Service) and repeat the same process
i.e.,

Right click on it and then click on Properties

Now change the Service Status to Stopped by clicking on the Stop button.

Now Change the Startup type to Disabled from the drop down selection menu

Now click on Apply then OK

Now Restart your PC and that's it.

You can check if it's working or not by going to
Settings>Update & security>Windows Update
And you can see that Windows is unable to start:

Apple's iPhone 7 is the next big thing from the house of Apple and millions of fans have their eyes on it. Apple's iPhone 7 set to feature curved glass made from LIQUID metal that is 'tough and scratch resistant'

The news came two months after Apple revisited their patent application for a 'curved glass case' made from 'scratch resistant' liquid metal
The patent was first floated in 2013 but never hit stores
New iPhone is also set to feature OLED screens, which are thinner and offer better picture quality

Apple's next iPhone will be cased in curved glass made from liquid metal, according to insiders. An analysts advising Apple investors claims the iPhone 7 will have a smooth comfortable grip made of glass. The news comes two months after the tech firm revisited a patent filed in 2013, which proposed a curved 'glass' case made from an intricate fusion of metals melted together. The design - made from Bulk Amorphous Alloy, which is a mix of titanium, nickel, copper and zirconium melted together - is said to have the smooth texture of glass and the rigid sturdiness of rubber. It was first floated in a patent application filed by Apple in 2013. And yet, despite widespread excitement over the unique design, it still hasn't reached the general public. But now Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at KGI Securities who has a track record of accurately predicting Apple's next steps, has told investors the curved glass case will be brought out for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.

Rumored Add On Features

Chances of iPhone 7 to be water proof are really high

Patent has been submitted and though the research is still going on but we are expecting Apple to introduce this feature from the next generation phones.

Gesture pass-code(s) are quite popular amongst the Android users and we might expect the same in iOS platform as well. In the iOS 9 platform we have to use a 6 digit pass-code which the users are not at happy to use. Gesture entry technique patent has been already submitted by Apple and gesture pass-code might be integrated in iPhone 7.

In the next generation phones, SIM card is expected to be integrated within the phone and it aligns with different carriers and has the same feature as the normal SIM card. Introduction of this feature in iPhone 7 is going to make the phone far more secured.

Wireless charging unit was expected to arrive along with iPhone 6s, however it was not introduced. So we are expecting Apple to introduce wireless charging option in the next generation phone.

It goes without saying that iPhone 7 will be powered by iOS 10 and therefore it will flaunt all the new features that are being included in the next generation iOS platform.

Storage Capacity

We have been requesting Apple to introduce expandable memory in iPhones from a long time. But our requests have remained unheard. So it is our earnest request again that iPhone 7 comes with expandable memory capacity that will allow us to buy the basic model of iPhone and then supplement it with a MicroSD card with greater capacity.

iPhone 7 base model should come with greater memory as the iOS takes away half of the space of the phone and when the phone gets updated, there is a lot more space crunch. So the base model of iPhone 7 should come with at least 32 GB memory.

iPhone 7 Camera

iPhone 7 is going to be integrated with a 12MP primary and 5MP secondary camera just as it is present in iPhone 6S. However, the main attraction as far as iPhone 7’s camera is concerned will be the performance booster that will be added to it. Firstly, it might be equipped with OIS. Secondly, the recent leaks suggest that it will come with a bigger lens that will let in more light and thus ensure better quality picture.

iPhone 7 Display

We have been expecting an iPhone with edge to edge display from a long time and though our expectation has not been met still now, but we are keeping our hopes high even this time. Recently, a patent was submitted which showed a display with bumpers at the four edges. This will protect the screen from getting cracked if it accidentally falls off your hand. However, Apple keeps submitting different kinds of patents which are not in use still now, so whether this is going to be realized this time or not, we are not sure. 3D Touch feature which was present in its predecessors will be present in iPhone 7 as well and might be with additional features.

Apple to remove headphone jack, but bigger upgrades planned for iPhone 8 in 2017

Apple Inc. plans to break with its recent pattern of overhauling the design of its flagship iPhone every two years and make only subtle changes in the models it will release this fall, according to people familiar with the matter.

Among other things, those people said, Apple's (AAPL) newest phones will maintain the current 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays. Those are the sizes of the larger-display models Apple introduced in 2014, and refreshed with newer models last fall.

The biggest planned change in this year's phones is the removal of the headphone plug, which will make the phone thinner and improve its water resistance, said people with that matter. The Lightning connector will serve double-duty as a port for charging the phone and for connecting headphones, they said. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said he expects the new iPhone, without the headphone plug, to be one millimeter thinner than the current iPhone.

Apple plans bigger design changes for 2017, the 10th anniversary of the original iPhone

Those changes could include an edge-to-edge organic light-emitting diode, or OLED, screen and eliminating the home button by building the fingerprint sensor into the display, according to people familiar with the matter.

In the past, Apple has introduced new iPhones on a "ticktock" cycle. Apple delivers major design changes every other year -- the "tick" years -- followed by software improvements and hardware refinements in the "tock" years. It isn't clear whether this year's shift is a temporary or permanent departure from this pattern.

iPhone 7 Design

iPhone 7 and 7s will be made with a more durable material that will ensure that the phone has a stronger built. We were expecting iPhone 6 display to be made from sapphire glass, unfortunately we didn’t get to see that. So we would be happy to see a stronger and more durable sapphire glass display in the next generation iPhone.

There are rumors that the upcoming iPhones will not have the home key.

This will help in making the screen bigger in size. However, iPhone 6s Touch ID is integrated in the home button of the phone, therefore removing it would mean that the touch id needs to be moved to either side of the phone or on the screen itself. Apple has lately submitted a patent were the touch id was present in the screen of the phone, so chances of our prediction turning into reality is high.

Rumored iPhone 7 Price

As far as the price of this product is concerned, it is really difficult to speculate about this. However, previously we have seen the price of the flagship products have remained more or less the same. Therefore, we can guess that iPhone 7 will come with a price tag of $850 for 16GB, $1000 for 64GB and $1100 for 128GB.

After logging into the app for the first time, the player creates their avatar. The player can choose the avatar's style, hair, skin, and eye color, and can choose from a limited number of outfits.

As players travel the real world, the avatar moves along the game's map.

Different Pokémon species reside in different areas of the world; for example, water-type Pokémon are generally found near water.

Unlike other installments in the Pokémon series, players in Pokémon Go do not battle wild Pokémon to capture them. During an encounter with a wild Pokémon, the player may throw a Poké Ball at it.
