It’s a “vase” of mistaken identity.

Out of control celeb Amanda Bynes, 27, claimed in court Friday that the bong she allegedly threw out the window of her 36th-floor apartment was actually a vase.

"The defendant was observed rolling a marijuana cigarette and throwing a bong out of the 36th floor window .... when there were people below," prosecutor Chikaelo Ibeabuchi said during Bynes’ arraignment.

He added that she told the cops “it was just a vase” before freaking out and chucking the bubbler.

The erratic former child star looked like a hot mess in court, sporting a platinum wig, two pink fingernails on her left hand, gray sweatpants and a black sweatshirt. She made strange faces prior to the proceeding and yelled at reporters.

She was charged with reckless endangerment, attempted tampering with evidence and marijuana possession.

Now, the former star of Nickelodeon’s “All That,” is in a serious legal “Bynes” on both sides of the country.

She’ll be back in Manhattan court July 9. Additionally, prosecutors in Burbank, Calif. could argue she is in violation of probation for driving on a suspended license near Burbank Airport last September.

"One of the conditions of her probation is obeying all laws ... if there is a law violation, there could be a probation violation," Denny Wei, an assistant prosecutor in Burbank told the Daily News. He added that prosecutors could argue she violated probation without a conviction for the bong-shell allegedly dropped from her high-rise apartment.

Even the cabbie who gave her a ride from court back to her apartment had a beef with Bynes.

She only had $20 — which her attorney gave her — for a $27 fare.

Bynes' latest debacle began around 7:40 p.m. Thursday when the building manager at The Biltmore on W. 47th St., Rudy Toro, called the cops after he spotted her smoking weed in the luxury building's lobby, prosecutors said.

When officers arrived at Bynes' pad, they found the former teen star in her apartment that smelled like the set of a “Cheech and Chong” flick .

"They knocked on the door. She answered after about five minutes and invited them in," a police source said. "They smelled marijuana and there was smoke. They saw the bong — it was in plain view. It looks like she realized they saw it, so she took it and threw it out the window."

Fortunately the clear, foot-long bubbler didn't hit anyone below, police said. Police never recovered the so-called smoking bong, which may have landed on a terrace of her building.

Bynes' assigned attorney, Andrew Friedman, said cops went into her apartment for no reason.

"My client completely denies ever illegally throwing anything out of her window," Friedman said.

She was hauled off to Roosevelt Hospital to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, sources said. During the arrest, Bynes called 911 alleging that cops assaulted her, a police source said. She also filed a formal complaint with the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau.

Prior to the proceeding, Bynes' loudly requested reporters leave her alone - which only drew more attention to the bizarre spectacle.

"I'm feeling fine. How are you feeling?" said a wide-eyed Bynes, as the bangs of her garish wig dangled in her face.

"No press is allowed in here!" she barked as at least a dozen reporters filed into the courtroom.

Later she had an animated conversation with her attorney in the court's soundproof box. When she wasn't talking she was making crazy faces, mumbling to herself and staring blankly through the glass.

A resident at the building hoped help was around the corner.

"Pray for her," said Stephen, 28. "She needs help. She's crying out."
