Maxwell said it was the most fun two weeks of his life. What an unforgettable experience!

So proud of my world traveler! Cannot wait to see where he goes next.

and then we headed to Atlanta for him to catch his flight and he drove the entire way there – getting ready for 16!

He met up with Gray and off they went!

They flew into Madrid – and Maxwell got the comfort plus upgrade! Woohoo! I got to speak to him briefly when he landed in Spain and he said the entire group seemed “chill” and he had already made some camp friend connections with one of them. After they, it was no phones and all adventure! I’m not entirely sure what all they did but I know they hiked a lot – including to the top of Mount Toubkal. They surfed, went canyoning, explored the markets of Marrakech, took a Moroccoan cooking class, stayed in some gross hostels and in Muhammed’s palace! He saw parts of the world I have never seen and had the biggest adventure. Here’s lots of pictures I got from him – I don’t know where they are or what they are doing but I know he was about as happy as he’s ever been.

Maxwell talking about his scout experience before sitting for his Eagle Scoutmaster Conference…

With baseball in the spring and Maxwell working on Eagle, they didn’t go on any spring campouts. But there was plenty going on behind the scenes with recruiting a great new group of scouts, leading merit badges, completing merit badges, and keeping the troop going.

Meeting to lead a few easy merit badges for the summer…

and now summer! Maxwell will complete his Eagle project this summer and Spencer is right on track to get to Eagle before 16. So proud of my scouts!

In September I also lead the swimming merit badge and it was funny to see how many of the boys couldn’t float!

Cooking and camping is exhausting! ha!

In October Spencer went on the backpacking campout and hiked the Walls of Jericho. It was hard, it was rainy, it was not fun but I am so proud of him! He completed his backpacking cooking and hiked all of the elevation changes he needed for the camping merit badge.
