Keywords are the words that describe the article. For example, the main keyword of the article that you are reading is SEO. However, it is difficult to rank on such keywords. So I use long-tail keywords like "Yoast SEO". It is much easier to rank on long-tail keywords.

2. Content

You may have heard the phrase- Content is King.

But why is that so?

Google gives priority to longer content.

Suppose you are google.

Two articles are using the same keyword equal times. Article one consists of 200 words while article 2 consists of 300 words. Which article will you choose?

The answer is obvious, article 2.

But why?

Google gives priority to content as it wants to answer as many questions as possible and longer content is more likely to answer more questions.

3. Writing Personalized content

People like personalized content. There's no question to that but The big question is how to write personalized content?

After writing your post, imagine that you are a visitor and you are reading your post. If you feel like it was made just for you, then congratulations, your content is personalized.

Yoast SEO Plugin is a plugin that is developed by Yoast. It is a simple, but popular plugin that helps you in focusing your keywords and readability. So basically, you don't have to keep track of the keywords or grammar, Yoast will do it for you and will also give you suggestions for improving SEO.

One thing you must know, IT IS AVAILABLE ONLY ON WORDPRESS AND CANNOT BE INSTALLED ON BLOGGER. But there is a method.

Steps

Simple summary- We will create a free website and install WordPress. Then we shall install the Yoast SEO Plugin. We shall do all the SEO, copy the post and paste it on Blogger.

Step 1- (If you already have a WordPress Site, Skip this step)

Get free hosting. I used Ultimate Free Host. Go to hosting on top, select the free host Pack. Click on Sign Up Now. Fill in the spaces and select your domain. Complete the rest of the steps. Then it will create your website.

Login to CPanel. Scroll down and click on Softaculous Apps Installer. There you can install WordPress. Create your admin account.

Step 2- Go to WordPress. In plugins, search for Yoast SEO. Install and activate it.

Step 3- Go to the HTML view of your post and copy and paste it on a WordPress Post code editor.

Step 4- Do all the SEO with it.

Step 5- Go to the code editor and copy and paste its HTML in the Blogger post HTML view.

Done

We live in an interconnected, increasingly globalized world. Unfortunately, due to international jet travel, infected people and the diseases they carry can be spread to any city on the planet in a matter of hours.

Why do Pandemics spread very easily?

Once a virus mutates, sometimes all it takes is one sneeze to spread the infection to other humans. When humans were hunter-gatherers, roaming the wild savannas, we were never in one place long enough, and settlements weren't large enough to sustain the transmission of infectious microbes. But with the advent of the agricultural revolution 10,000 years ago, and the arrival of permanent settlements in the Middle East, people began living side-by-side with animals, which made the diseases from cattle spread to humans.

Cholera Pandemic

Epidemics and pandemics are available in many shapes and forms. In 2010, as an example, a devastating earthquake struck Haiti, forcing thousands of individuals into temporary refugee camps. Soon, the camps had become breeding grounds for a deadly bacteria spread by contaminated water, triggering a country-wide epidemic. Yes, I am talking about Cholera. But the foremost common explanation for epidemics are viruses, like measles, influenza and HIV. And once they go global, we call them pandemics.

Pandemics

Pandemics have occurred throughout human history many have left scars on the tissue of the victim and weakened them. Many have also been handicapped due to them. This evidence comes from preserved DNA. For instance, scientists have recovered DNA from the bacteria that transmit tuberculosis from the remains of ancient Egyptian mummies. And in 2011, scientists investigating a pandemic pit within the City of London were ready to reconstruct the genome of Yersinia pestis, the bacterium liable for the Black Death of the 14th century. It is thought the Black Death Plague had originated in China by 1340, spreading to the west along the Silk Road and the caravan route running from Mongolia to Crimea. In 1347, the plague reached the Mediterranean, and by 1400, it had killed more than 34 million Europeans, earning it the title, the Great Mortality. It was later historians who called it the Black Death.

Influenza- the biggest Pandemic Killer

However, by far the biggest and deadliest pandemic is influenza also known as the Flu. It circulates constantly between the Southern and Northern Hemispheres. In North America and Europe, the flu occurs every autumn and winter. As most of the youngsters and adults had been exposed to the virus in previous seasons. Therefore, these illnesses are usually mild. However, every 20 to 40 years approximately the virus undergoes a dramatic mutation. Mostly, this occurs when a wild flu virus found in ducks and farm poultry meets a virus circulating in a pig, and they exchange genes. This process is called antigenic shift and has occurred throughout human history.

The First Recorded Pandemic

The first recorded pandemic occurred in 1580. The 18th and 19th centuries saw a minimum of six further pandemics. In terms of mortality, none can compare with the Spanish Flu Pandemic of 1918. The first warning of the pandemic came within the spring when American troops in northern France began complaining of chills, headaches and fever. Then, the subsequent September, at a U.S. Army barracks near Boston, soldiers started falling sick and many collapsed on parade, due to this they were sent to the camp infirmary. As a surgeon there recalled, two hours after admission, they had spots over the cheekbones and a couple of hours later they started to ascertain the cyanosis extending from their ears and spreading everywhere on their face. It was only a matter of time until death came, and it was simply a struggle for air until they suffocate. On the S.S. Leviathan, a huge American transport on route to Bordeaux, several sick men haemorrhaged blood from their noses, turning the decks between their bunks slick with bodily fluids. Other soldiers near them also got the disease. Meanwhile, British soldiers returning from northern France introduced the flu to Dover and other Channel ports, from where the virus was carried by rail to London. By the time the pandemic had run its course in April 1919, an estimated 675,000 Americans and 230,000 Britons were dead. In India alone, some 10 million were killed, and worldwide the toll was an astonishing 50 million.

How SARS epidemic started

That was then. Today, planes can transport viruses to any country in the world in a fraction of the time it took in 1918. In February 2003, as an example, a Chinese doctor arrived at the Metropole Hotel in Hong Kong feeling unwell. Unknown to him, he was harboring a new animal-origin virus called SARS, short for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.

Spread of SARS......... and containment

Within 24 hours of checking into Room 913, sixteen other guests had been infected, and over the subsequent days five boarded planes to overseas destinations, spreading the virus to Vietnam, Singapore and Canada. Flights between Hong Kong, Toronto and other international cities were quickly grounded and because of other emergency measures, an epidemic was averted. By the time the outbreak was over four months later, SARS had infected 29 countries worldwide and over 1,000 people were dead. For all that the virus was rapidly contained. However, there was little that would be done about the alarming news reports carried by cable news channels and therefore the Internet. As bloggers added to the hysteria by spreading unfounded conspiracy theories, tourism in Hong Kong and other affected cities ground to a halt, costing businesses over 10 billion U.S. dollars. One business, however, did fine. Above all, SARS was a reminder that pandemics have always been related to panic.

Conclusion

If history teaches us anything, it's that while pandemics may start small, their impacts are often as dramatic as wars and natural disasters. The difference today is that science gives us the ability to detect pandemics right at the very beginning and to require action to mitigate their impacts before they spread too widely.

Here are 10 things you did not know about India's Zydus Cadila's Covid-19 Vaccine-

1. It is the first Indigenous DNA vaccine

Zydus is an Indian Pharmaceutical Company that has made the first DNA vaccine for Covid-19.

DNA vaccines are cost-effective and stable. They signal the immune system to fight the virus once injected.

2. It is needleless

Many people are afraid of needle vaccines because they are painful and slow. They also have more side effects. ZyCoV-D (Yes, that's its name) is intradermal and uses the PharmaJet technology. In PharmaJet, a thin tube is used to penetrate the skin in a 10th of a second so you don't feel any pain.

3. It has fewer side effects compared to other vaccines

ZyCoV-D is not intramuscular, which means it does not penetrate the muscles. Many vaccines are intramuscular and cause cramps and pain at the point of injection. They often turn sore and reddish. However, ZyCoV-D is intradermal and causes fewer side effects.

4. It is the first Covid-19 vaccine for children

ZyCoV-D is a vaccine for adolescents under the age bracket of 12 to 18. Schools are being reopened in the pandemic and the safety of kids is at question. However, ZyCoV-D will solve the problem because it is available for children. It has proven to be safe for children.

5. It is likely to roll out by October

Zydus Cadila Vaccine is likely to roll out in mid-September and be available in the Cowin app by October.

Zydus has claimed that its vaccine is 66.6% at preventing Covid-19 and 100% effective at preventing severe Covid-19. However, this is at its primary level. Further studies will be conducted to find out about its exact efficacy. However, according to Zydus, it has a base efficacy of 66.6% and thus is effective at preventing Covid-19. Another great thing about it is that it will prevent deaths.

7. It consists of 3 doses and Zydus is working to make it 2.

Unlike most Covid-19 vaccines, ZyCoV-D consists of 3 doses. It is considered to be a drawback but Zydus Cadila is working to make it 2 doses.

8. ZyCoV-D is easy to store and stable

The Zydus Covid-19 vaccine is stable at 2-4 degrees Celsius, which makes it easy to store and is expected to ease the vaccine situation as most vaccines are difficult to store. Another thing about it is that it does not need a refrigerator. This means that it can be easily transported to the remotest corners of India.

9. Zydus took the largest clinical trial for its vaccine

Zydus claims that its vaccine took the largest clinical trial consisting of more than 50 centres. This means that it is probably well studied and relatively safe.

10. It is effective against the Delta Variant

Delta Variant is a deadly double mutant variant of Covid-19 responsible for the devastating second wave in India. Zydus has said that it is especially effective against the Delta Variant.

How is it unique?

ZyCoV-D is the first needleless DNA vaccine to be authorized. It is also intradermal compared to other vaccines. It is safe for children and effective against the Delta Variant. It can turn the tide because children are said to be vulnerable to the third wave. So if they get vaccinated, We can end Covid-19 sooner.

Pandemics have been troubling humanity for centuries.

Overview

Pandemics have been troubling humanity for centuries.

Though Covid-19 has caused loss of lives worldwide, it is not the deadliest Pandemic. In fact, its cousins, SARS and MERS are much more deadly. History has seen even more ready diseases such are The Black Death and the infamous Spanish Flu pandemic. So
I have prepared a list of how the pandemics in the past ended. Pandemics and Epidemics are also common now.

What is Herd Immunity?

Most pandemics end through a process called herd immunity. It is a process through which majority of pandemics end

1. The Black Death-Imposition of Quarantine

Black Death, also known as Bubonic Plague was a pandemic caused by the bacterium Yersinia Pestis. It was a devastating Pandemic that started when 12 ships from the Black Sea docked at the port on Messina. When the people arrived, they saw a terrifying sight. Many sailors were either dead or gravely ill with black boils and swollen lymph nodes. The Black Death wiped out a third of Europe's population. The disease made fleas their host and infected them and made them extremely famished. Then, the fleas would jump onto a human and bite it. In that process, they infected them. Thus, the five years of misery started.

During the Black Death Plague, the people of Venice, Italy came with a solution. Sailors docking in Venice would have to stay aboard the ship for a certain period of time and prove that they were not sick. This practice became worldwide and was one of the key factors in stopping the pandemic. Quarantine is also being used during the Covid-19 Pandemic.

2. Smallpox- Worldwide vaccination

SmallPox was an ancient disease that created pimples on humans and left them scarred. It was a very deadly disease and killed 3 out of every 10 people. Its origins are not known yet. But it is confirmed that it was in Egypt 3,000 years ago. It reached China in the 4th Century CE from which it reached other countries, especially Japan through trade routes.

British Scientist, Edward Jenner invented the first vaccine in 1796. He found that a relatively mild disease, Cowpox could provide protection against Smallpox. It was the world's first vaccine. Soon, aggressive strategies were used. People were vaccinated around the world. After nearly a century, WHO declared smallpox Completely Eradicated in 1980. It is the first disease to be eradicated and hopefully won't trouble humanity again. Thanks to vaccination.

3. Spanish Flu- Herd Immunity

You would think that the Spanish Flu started in Spain. But you are completely wrong! As ironic as it may sound, the Spanish Flu started in the Allied Countries during the second world war. However, the leaders knew that a disease would decrease the morale of their troops. Thus, it was named the Spanish Flu even if it should have been the British Flu.

As I explained in the beginning, Herd Immunity happens when most people are immune to a certain disease. Spanish Flu was spread by World War II soldiers when they shifted to other places. The First wave was relatively mild and most people recovered from it. But during the second wave, the virus mutated and became a lot deadly. Many people died from it. It is regarded as the worst pandemic in history by many. So how did it end? Most people had suffered from it and many became immune to it. Thus, the pandemic ended. But Influenza has not been eradicated and is a very common disease also known as the flu.

So How can we be prepared for Future Pandemics?

If we practice personal hygiene and sanitation we will be able to prevent pandemics. People should be vaccinated against potential pandemic diseases. More funds should be dedicated to the research of pandemics. And last but not least, countries should work together and co-operate to eradicate diseases.

However, poverty still remains an issue as many people do not have access to basic necessities. People should contribute money to NGOs working to end poverty. However, poverty cannot be eradicated because of human prejudices and stereotypes which lead to discrimination. So as long as there is prejudice, poverty will remain.

How many diseases have been eradicated?

Currently, two diseases have been eradicated. they are SmallPox caused by the Variola Virus and Rinderpest, caused by the Rinderpest virus

Why vaccination just isn't enough?

Vaccination is crucial in preventing diseases but it just isn't enough if we want to eradicate diseases. Pandemics in the past were easily spread because of poor hygiene. So, if we prevent any disease, a new one will emerge. What can prevent this is proper hygiene.

Will there be deadlier pandemics in the Future?

In my previous article, I discussed why pandemics are more common now. Most pandemics diseases are zoonotic and spread to humans by a process called "Animal to Human Contact."

This is caused by deforestation. You can go to that article to know more about it.
So if new diseases, of which the immune system does not have any memory of infects humans, then it will be deadly. That is why deforestation should be stopped to prevent any animal to human contact.

If we all do our bit in preventing pandemics, the world will be a better place to live.

Why do Pandemics keep happening

There was a time when people did not care about any disease. They were not afraid to go out or catch any disease. Then came COVID-19.

Covid-19 caused havoc around the whole world. People were trapped inside their homes. Across the world, businesses suffered losses. During the second wave in India, its health system almost collapsed.

If we reflect back, we will realize that pandemics and epidemics are more common now than they used to be. But, why is that so?

1. Increased Travel

Humans travel a lot frequently these days. There are many modes of travel such as Airports and railway stations today. So, if a person infected with a mutant disease travels through any of these, he/she will quickly spread it to other passengers who will bring that disease to their countries. Thus, starting a pandemic.

2. Increased human-animal contact

Most of the pandemic diseases are zoonotic. That is, they spread through animals. Due to an increase in deforestation, animals are forced to move into human surroundings. Which results in animal-human contact. This spreads the disease to humans.

3. Poor Health Infrastructure

Many developing countries in Africa do not have basic health facilities and sanitation due to this, they are unable to cope up with pandemics. An example is the Ebola Pandemic (2014-16). Which thankfully, was contained before it spread further.

4. Recklessness by people

Nowadays, many people do not follow basic hygiene which results in the spread of diseases. To be honest, when was the last time you ate your food without washing your hands? True, some people are conscious about their health, but many are there who do not care about any diseases and become reckless.

Once, I had to go out. The lockdown had been lifted by then. I was shocked to see many people not wearing any masks and were talking to people nearby. Such actions of people result in an increase in Covid-19 cases.

So what should we do to prevent further pandemics?

To prevent further pandemics, we must follow basic health precautions. We should wash our hands before eating. We should also strengthen our immunity to help fight diseases. We should also stop deforestation to stop animal-human contact.

Java is a common Programming Language used nowadays. In this blog, I will show you how to create a simple Java Program for Division.

Java is easy to understand.

Java may look difficult but is very easy. If you are having problems in learning it, I have created a tutorial below on how to learn it. Believe me, it is very easy.

1.While writing a division program, you must start with

import java.util.*;

Note: don't forget to write ";". It acts as a full stop.

2.Now you need to write "class" and the name of your program.

3.After that, you have to write a command. It is "public static void main()"

4. Next write the scanner class. Just write "Scanner x= new Scanner (System.in);"

5. Next, write "int" and any character such as a,b and c. Int means integer.

6. Now you have to write the output which will be visible to the visitor. So if my characters are a,b,c then- System.out.println("Please enter the value of a");

a=x.nextInt();

System.out.println("Please enter the value of b");

b=x.nextInt();

c=a/b;

System.out.println("The answer is " +c);

}

And your program is complete!

Explained: What is causing deaths in Covid-19 patients?

Hello reader. I am the writer of this blog. I am sorry that I could not post any blog the previous week. So I will publish 2 blogs this week.

Covid-19 is causing worldwide havoc. There has been a rise in the death rate too. But it is not caused by the disease. It is caused by the immune response. Let me explain.

Many people with co-morbidities have weak immunity. So, when they get infected with any disease, their immune system starts to panic and overreacts to the disease. This is called Cytokine Storm.

So what is a cytokine storm?

To understand it, we need to know how our immune system reacts to covid-19 infection.

During any infection, the immune system launches an immune response called the innate response. It is a natural response that releases cytokines, an important microscopic protein that acts as an alarm. They generate inflammation. Eventually, it releases a second wave of immune cells. This is called an adaptive response and its aim is to home in on the disease cell and the infected cells. It also contains T cells- cells that consume the disease cell. If the innate response comes early then the infection will be mild and you will recover soon.

Normal Response Severe Response

However, sometimes the innate response (the blue line) arrives late. (as in fig 2) Then it has to catch up with the viral load (the yellow line). This makes the immune system panic and it overreacts and starts the cytokine storm. It orders all the infected and suspected cells to self destruct. When a lot of cells destruct, they cause multiorgan failure in lungs, kidneys etc.

Resulting in the death of the patient.

So how can it be stopped?

Studies have shown that people with Vitamin D deficiency are more likely to be susceptible to Cytokine Storm. Therefore Vitamin D sources like milk should be consumed more. In many cases of Cytokine Storm, Immunosuppressants ( also called steroids ) are given. They suppress the immune reaction and thus save the patient. The Sequence of Fibonacci Numbers

Fibonacci numbers are a unique type of number. Each number is the sum of the previous two numbers. They start with 0 and 1. Let us find more about them.

Fibonacci numbers were invented by Leonardo Fibonacci (1170-1250). As I said before, they are the sum of the preceding two numbers. For ex.- 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34. Here 1=0+1, 2=1+1, 3= 1+3 and so on.

Fibonacci Numbers can be found in nature too. You can see them in a Sunflower, Seashells, Petals of a Flower, Galaxies and even on our faces!

Online teaching and work from home is a blessing that comes due to technology and is the greatest solution that helps in social distancing. Work from home has ensured business continuity. But just like the sides of a coin, technology has its own minus points.

I do not mean to say that we should not use technology. But we should not let it rule over us.

The pandemic has hit labour-intensive sectors like food, retail, logistics and manufacturing businesses. Robots are used to clean infected areas. They are also used to deliver food to quarantined people. Swab collection is conducted to help medical professionals. Thanks to science, we can develop vaccines. Thermal guns are used to measure the temperature of people.

Covid-19 has proved that technological innovations have been helping in managing the pandemic in a timely, systematic and calm manner.

Nowadays, we have become dependent on fossil fuels and nuclear energy for electricity. However, they cause great harm to the environment. So what is the solution? The solution is green energy.

Green energy is a type of energy. It produces energy but does not cause any harm to the environment. Examples include solar energy and wind energy.

So what harm do non-renewable resources cause to the environment?

Energy is obtained by burning fossil fuels. Due to which, Greenhouse gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Carbon Monoxide are released in the process. These gases build up in the atmosphere and cause pollution. Nuclear Energy is produced using radioactive materials. This can be deadly if not disposed of properly.

Green Energy such as Wind, Solar and Water energy does not produce any greenhouse gases. So, they are safer for the environment compared to non-renewable resources. Non- Renewable energy is exhaustible while renewable energy is inexhaustible.

What is the best and cheapest energy for homes?

There are many types of green energy. Wind energy is too costly and can be dangerous for birds. It also takes a lot of space. So it is best suitable for plains and flat areas. Hydropower is not possible in urban areas as it is too costly to be set up by a sole person and takes up too much space. So the best option is Solar Panels. Why? This is because they are relatively cheaper and can provide enough energy for a house to function. It is also easy to set up and does not take much space.
