	<item>
		<title>
			What song is this?
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1751907867
		</link>
		<description>
			This photo via nincatalog on Instagram shows a t-shirt sold at the Paris, France concert on July 7. The lyric t-shirt has been sold since the start of the Peel It Back Tour. The design has varied from show to show featuring well known songs like “Closer” and “Wish” but this one is unrecognizable. It says “AS ALIVE AS YOU NEED ME TO BE”. Is this a new nin song? Does this mean there is new Nine Inch Nails music on the horizon? What do you think?

	<item>
		<title>
			Empire talks Tron with Trent and Atticus
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1751072771
		</link>
		<description>
			With about a hundred days to go before Tron:Ares hits theaters, British film magazine Empire speak with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their July 2 issue, featuring Tron:Ares on the cover . "It sounds precise and unpleasant at times. It’s not an atonal, punishing score, but we spent a lot of time thinking about the undertones of what’s happening in the story. The concept of artificial life infused with feelings and emotions and a sense of questioning their purpose and their replaceability, their lack of soul, in some ways. We kind of riffed on that." There's more in this teaser, but the full article is due out next week - and you can pre-order the issue here .

	<item>
		<title>
			The silence breaks on Peel It Back
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1750114620
		</link>
		<description>
			Last night, Nine Inch Nails emerged from stealth mode to kick off the Peel It Back World Tour in Dublin, Ireland. It's rare to avoid so-called "spoilers" in the information age, but if you're still here checking a mostly-text website, there's a chance you're one of those who hasn't been reloading the official Discord, or hanging out in the Tour News subforum of Echoing the Sound , and to that end, I'll keep it brief: The multi-stage setup blends seamlessly between the Boys Noize set, and a variety of interpretations of songs from across nearly the entire Nine Inch Nails catalog, for a total run time of around two hours. There is a lot of new merchandise, from hoodies to unisex tank tops to swanky Airtag holders, and I think it's fair to say that the prices at the venue was higher than previous years - with hoodies breaking three-figures. Much of the merch calls back to themes from The Downward Spiral, and for more information, check out the tour merch thread on ETS . The tour continues in Manchester on Tuesday, and please, bring shoes you can dance in. Yes, it can be quite the spectacle, but you're not watching TV, you're at a concert - this music is made to move you, emotionally and physically. Am I judging the audience I'm seeing in these YouTube videos? I absolutely am. Nonetheless, I can't wait for the tour to roll through North America.

	<item>
		<title>
			Nine Inch Nails answers the Call of Duty (again)
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1749415418
		</link>
		<description>
			Longtime reader and all around good dude Johnbron brought it to my attention that a new teaser for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 just dropped, and most of the three minute preview of the upcoming release is set to a dramatic and cinematic remix of 2005's The Hand That Feeds . You may recall that the theme song to Call of Duty: Black Ops II was an original composition by Trent Reznor. What's hard for me to swallow is that was a dozen years ago. Seems about as likely as The Hand That Feeds coming out two decades ago. I'm going to need someone to fact check this information.

	<item>
		<title>
			New Meat Purse
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1746559706
		</link>
		<description>
			Somewhere - maybe it was Reddit, maybe it was Facebook, could have been Bluesky, it might have even been that old fan forum that still manages to have a pulse - somewhere, I saw someone mention that they hoped to see the revival of a tour book, like the ones they had for Fragility 2.0 and With Teeth 2006 . And I know people have been pining for more Peel It Back tour merch. You've got that lizard-face-looking thing on a shirt and a hoodie, plus a hat. There's good news for the six of you who (and I appreciate every one of you) that still visit this site: when you need him most, Meathead is here for you .

	<item>
		<title>
			Soundtrack for The Gorge gets a digital release this week
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1739478052
		</link>
		<description>
			The Gorge, a new science fiction film directed by Scott Derrickson and written by Zach Dean and premiering on Apple+ on February 14, will feature a score by the award winning composers we write about so often here. Because of the intricacies of internationalization and global commerce, Qobuz in New Zealand went live with the commercial digital release , with a total run time of just over a half hour across ten tracks. As the earth rotates and the sun appears to rise from the east across the APAC and EMEA regions, and eventually gets to us here in the Americas, it will no doubt be available from all the usual* places you can listen to music today. Tip of the hat to TheBang on ETS for breaking the news! *But probably not Bandcamp since this is a Milan records release.

	<item>
		<title>
			Challengers score wins Critic's Choice Award
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1738996592
		</link>
		<description>
			Several sources announced this, but Film Music Reporter is dedicated to the cause, so I'll link them. Winning "Best Score" for the third time, Trent Reznor &amp; Atticus Ross take home a Critic's Choice award for Challengers, which I once played on repeat for hours in a hotel room while working on a presentation for a meeting the following day, well into the wee hours of the night, and when I finally shut my computer down, to my absolute horror, I could hear the television in the next room over, obviously turned up because they were tired of Compress, Repress [MIXED] . I am so sorry, whoever you were. The duo previously won Critic's Choice awards for Soul and The Social Network. Trent Reznor shared his reaction on Bluesky , the only social network not run by billionaires with brainworms.

	<item>
		<title>
			Peel it Back World Tour 2025
		</title>
		<link>
			http://www.theninhotline.com/news/permalink/1736778419
		</link>
		<description>
			There have been rumors about a summer tour of Europe floating around, but rumors come and go. It's never real until it's published through official channels, as far as I'm concerned. So when NIN added "Peel It Back World Tour 2025" to their Facebook page, and Ticketmaster posted a September 10 date at the Amalie Arena - with ticket sales going live January 17 at 12pm EST, that's enough to convince me. I don't suspect that was intentional, but it's a sign that the rumors are true. Stay tuned...
