No shows for a while, but…

As you may have noticed, shows over the last few weeks have been few and far between. This is mainly because third year university is HELL in terms of projects and assignments. When I’m not drawing database models for one class, I’m writing use cases for another or solving recurence relations or writing operating system enhancements or… You get the picture.

Anyway, basically I’m putting the show on hold for the time being. I’m not giving up on The Queen’s English, not at all, but I need a little breathing room for university right now. I estimate that I should be back recording new shows for you some time in January, but we’ll have to see…

Now on to new and exciting things. As I’ve mentioned before I’m a member of the Carleton Improv Association, my university improv team. We did our first show last night and it was a blast. What’s exciting is that we managed to record both audio and video of the performance. Within a week or so I hope to have all the raw data trimmed and primped for public consumption and posted on our team website (coded by yours truly). So if you absolutely can’t wait to hear (and maybe even see) more comedy from me, check for updates there over the next week or so. I’ll also post here when things start happening, most likely.

Oops. I ballsed up posting the podcast yesterday, instead of linking to the new show like it was supposed to, the feed started pointing people to last weeks show. Sorry guys, the show is going to be delayed until tomorrow sometime (probably in the evening). Whilst I’ve got most of my material written, I’ve run out of time to actually record anything without rushing it and it turning out sounding awful. Don’t worry though, I’ve now changed my schedule so that I’ll have most of Saturday free to do the brunt of the work on a show, before adding the final touches Sunday evening. So hang in there, and hopefully future updates will be more reliable. Hooray!

Ok, so I’m rather annoyed at Blogger right now for breaking my feed. So what I’m doing is setting up a blog here at WordPress that will be run in parallel for the next few weeks until I shut down the one over at Blogger. The good news is that I will still be using the same feedburner feed for the podcast, so people who get the show via a feed reader (such as iTunes or Juice) won’t have to change anything. Hooray!

Paolo Margari composed the music that I’ve used in my outro, entitled “Another One”. Also, the music playing in the backgrond of Gaston’s Resturant is “Israel” by Larry G Sax Ensemble.
