Trivandrum

Trivandrum known as thiruvananthapuram is the capital of kerala and located in the south end of kerala. It is known as the evergreen city of kerala. The king marthanda varma is the father of modern travancore. Anciently trivandrum known as travancore or venad. In 1949 travancore and cochin states merged and made travancore as the capital. In 1962 the Thumba equatorial rocket launching station TERLS established in trivandrum and so it became the cradle of india's space programme. The first indian space rocket wasdevelpoed and launched from Vikram sarabhai space station VSSC and isro centers established in trivandrum.

The neyyar river and its tributaries flowing through it. Acrocodile rehabilitation and research centre was established in neyyar wildlife sanctuary.

4. kovalam beach
